We went on a Wednesday night and sat at the bar. The outside patio was busy on the warm summer night. They have board games you can play...we chose connect four. I ordered a local pinto grid and my friend had a local beer. Both were good. You can get pitchers of beer and carafes of wine. The food was excellent. We had the pretzel knots with delicious beer cheese. The pretzels are homemade. The salad was made with fresh ingredients. The veggie pizza had homemade dough and fresh veggies. It was delish. We had friendly efficient service. It is a large place with plenty of seating.

Great spot to grab a flight of beer or fancy cocktail. Probably one of my fav spots to grab a drink in Kamloops. Friendly and happy staff and pups. Good beer, nice swag, fun spot!

One of the places to hit for craft beer (the other big one being Noble Pig) in Kamloops. Parking is available along Lansdowne. The tasting room here is so large that one would think it's more like a gastropub. Nope. There's no food here. Just beers. There were some people playing board games here, but the place seemed almost a bit too large, which gave the room an empty feeling. And this room doesn't even include the large outdoor patio. Guess the rent here must be cheap. With that said, this place can easily accommodate groups of 20 or more. Beers here are reasonably priced ($5 or so), though growler fills are pricier at $12-13. They also have a fridge of pre-bottled beers. I tried a flight. Maybe I was a bit biased at the time as I had just come from the Noble Pig, but the beers here didn't seem too special, other than the Tripel. And I'm not talking about the 9% alcohol content either. The coriander in this one definitely stuck out compared to the other 3 beers I had. This would be the one I would recommend. Of course, I didn't try them all either, so maybe there's something even better on the menu board. Definitely worth a trip out, along with the Noble Pig.

Nice beer on tap. Unfortunately, 2 beers are sold out (double dubbel and marzen) when we were there. Staff are attentive and responsive. Friendly and laid back atmosphere. The food/tapas list is not extensive so be prepared. Kitchen is within typical service time. Cannot say say about their food quality as Terra took over their restaurant when we were there today. Lamb burger ran out by 6:20pm? That's ridiculous. Plenty of seating for everyone. We just wish there is more eating options.

Red Collar Brewing is a strong addition to the British Columbia micro brewery scene and is an excellent spot to drink and enjoy the company of friends in Kamloops. Red Collar's biggest strength (to no surprise) is the great beer, they usually have around 8 varieties at any given time. Ranging from the lighter Blonde (IBU 32) to the darker I.P.A (IBU 78). I've tried probably at least 10 unique types of beer and have never been disappointed. If you're new to the beer scene, ask to have a sampler (flight) that affords you the opportunity to try 4 types of beers. my absolute favourite Red Collar beer has to the White IPA (IBU 52), it's strong while also being very refreshing, sadly it's usually only available in the summer. Another strength is the friendly, knowledgable staff, don't hesitate to ask them any questions about the beer. There's also a lot of fun to be had playing a board game from the many options avaiblable. Great hip music is always on and it adds to the lively atmosphere that's refreshing for Kamloops. So if you're a local who hasn't been or a visitor who's exploring Kamloops, go to Red Collar Brewing for the beer but stay for the atmosphere. Oh and just a tip for the new comers to the micro brewery scene, I.B.U stands for international bitterness unit.

Delicious craft beer. Relaxed casual vibe. Friendly staff. Outside food available to order as well as light in-house light snacks.

We came…read morein after a long day at a nearby hockey tournament so it was definitely a full house, but based on rave reviews we were expecting much more than what we received. The ambiance was chill and the booths were roomy and comfortable but sadly that was probably the highlight of the meal. The server was ok but not overly friendly or attentive by any means. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, a pulled pork "bowl" and a small pizza. Nothing too crazy or over the top so we figured it was pretty simple and would be relatively fast. To our surprise it took a solid 40 minutes. We figured that one of the dishes may have taken a bit longer so we stayed patient, but when the food was served it was lukewarm nearing cold. The food was nothing special but maybe could have gotten another star had it been served hot. Sadly disappointed to be quite honest, the best part of the actual meal itself was the side of French fries that accompanied the pulled pork sandwich. Sadly, the menu prices definitely did not match the quality of food or rave reviews.

We were seated right away by a friendly host and our server who was super helpful throughout our visit. While we dined, the place got much busier and had a nice buzz to it. It had a distinct theme inside that aligns with its name and its selection of flagship brews. As I mentioned, we were hungry after a long drive so we obviously over ordered. We started with the Triple Threat Pull Apart Bread and the Crispy Pickles. Both were amazing! The bread was so soft and delicious and the pickles were savoury, but also spicy! Be warned! My partner ordered the Stuffed Yorkies because they weren't something we'd seen on a menu before. He loved them! The dish was three Yorkshire puddings stuffed full so it was also HUGE. I got the Flagship Mac and, honestly, for a place with multiple macs on the menu, it was remarkably unremarkable, unfortunately. Don't be discouraged, though! The quality of the rest of the food was so high that it made up for that tiny miss. If you're in Kamloops, check out The Noble Pig. They also have a great patio!

The place is about 1h out of Kamloops, and maybe 45 minutes from Salmon Arm. In case you're wondering, a Crannog is a Scottish (and Irish) stilted building, usually built on bogs. Getting here involves a turn onto a side street (literally an intersection, not an exit) right off Highway 1. A GPS helps big time here. Parking is available in the small lot in front of the building. There is barely enough room for 8 vehicles. Other than 1 type of brew during my visit, only pre-filled growlers were available. In other words, one cannot simply bring in a growler for a filling for most beers. Guess their operation is too small. I was able to fill my growler for $15, while my buddy picked up a pre-filled one for $20. Tours are available (free, but reservation required), which last about 1h. This is a special mention, because not only is it quite educational, but those who complete the tour get a free tasting (4 beers at the time of writing) at The Bloody Stump, their in-house tasting room. Definitely learned quite a few things. For example, almost everything used for brewing is produced on the property. The water is drawn from a well, and the hops are grown on site. The used barley is used to feed the hogs in a small pen nearby, and the hog poop is used to grow more hops. The tasting room is very cozy, but this is where one can try the different brews. Special mention goes to the Red Branch ale. This is probably one of the best craft beers I've ever had in my entire life. Yes, it's that good. I regret not picking up a pre-filled growler of that stuff.
