I had a great time checking out Bright Eye. The food was great, the drinks were good. I can't wait to come back again.

10/10 would recommend. Beer, food and service were top notch. Would definitely stop by again.

Good food and good beer! What more do you need? We came here several times over the summer to grab their gigantic cans but only got the opportunity to visit the brewery for a sit-down experience last month. My partner and I got a flight to share. I always enjoy their sours (I love the peach!) and my partner enjoys the IPAs. For food, I got the Nashville chicken burger and he got the day's special: duck pot pie. I was very pleased with my sando, the meat was moist and seasoned well. It went perfectly with the hot sauce that I doused it with. The fries were so good that we got a second order because my partner kept eating them off my plate, even though he said he didn't want them. I thought the tiny piece of bread on top of the pot pie looked shrivelled and sad but the stew was good. I spied a pizza oven in the brewery so I'm planning on getting the pizza on our next visit! Along with more beer, of course!

What an amazing brewery with great food to match. From Vancouver and just visiting Kamloops for a bit, I heard that this was the brewery to go to. And the recommendations were very much correct. The space is beautiful with modern wood vibes and high ceilings. The service was great and all covid precautions are taken. We were brought to our table with prompt service. I decided to get a flight of their beers. Sours are my favourite so that's what I focused on - the raspberry and fuzzy peaches were all very good. The stout was also delicious and like a very nice coffee almost. The food is surprisingly good. We got their fries with a lovely aioli, as well as their Truffalo Wings. The wings could have used a bit more truffle but I'm nitpicking now. Their baked Brie was also nice and warm with nice bread paired up. Overall, great food and drinks in a wonderful environment. The prices were reasonable too!

Before heading home, we decided to check out Bright Eye Brewing for some brews and food. A buddy that lives in town recommended BEB to us. We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon (around 1:30pm) and snagged a table outside. The patio, with about 8 tables, had a good mix of shady and sunny areas. Service was friendly but we weren't checked on much. There was 7 beers on tap along with a couple options for cider (Soma Craft Cidery and Woodward Cidery) and wine. The menu consists of bar snacks, small bites, leafy things, sandwiches, pizza, large shares and dessert. - Drew Berrymore ($3.25 for 5oz) - pale ale with raspberry and blackberry. B found it had that unpleasant, lingering raspberry aftertaste. I thought the berry flavours weren't prominent enough. - Tropic topic ($3.25 for 5oz) - pale ale with passionfruit and guava. This one we both enjoyed. - Crispy brussels sprouts ($13.25) - this was the best dish that we ordered. Interestingly, the dish smelled like spicy cheetohs to me. Don't know why. Regardless, the brussel sprouts were texturally on point and crispy. The aioli was light but satisfying. Excellent balance and flavourful. - Szechuan soy ramen ($15.95) - ramen at a brewery was probably not the best choice but I was intrigued. Broth lacked depth as the main note was chili oil. Noodles were okay but weren't toothsome or springy. The egg was the best part of the bowl. Overall, not much ingredients and overpriced. - Montreal smoked not-meat ($13.95) - the description sounded promising but taste wise, it left us wanting more. The eggplant wasn't spicy. The sauerkraut didn't add any sour or crunchy bite to the sandwich. Another skip. - Carnivore ($17.95) - pizza was solid. Pleasant texture, good amount of ingredients and balanced flavour. The other dish that everyone enjoyed. - Bright Eye burger ($14.25) - this also came with a side of fries. Burger was small and didn't have much ingredients in it. Decent brewery but the food needs some work at BEB.

Great beer and great food. Had a good pizza, flights of beer, love the sours. Also excited about the grower club!

This place is simply amazing! They have every box checked in my opinion. Great unique and tasty eats, Friendly, polite & cheerful servers/staff, fantastic brews that are switched up every other day and kick ass patio(s)....that your pup can chill out with you. If you are visiting Kamloops - this is a must!

If a Redhead homebrews, does she make Ginger Ale?

We were hoppy to be here! Make sure to try their Brussels sprouts if you and your gyal are ever in the neighborhood! Catch beer flights, not feelings!

Sounds like this may be an unpopular opinion but I would say the Noble Pig was mid at best. We came…read morein after a long day at a nearby hockey tournament so it was definitely a full house, but based on rave reviews we were expecting much more than what we received. The ambiance was chill and the booths were roomy and comfortable but sadly that was probably the highlight of the meal. The server was ok but not overly friendly or attentive by any means. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, a pulled pork "bowl" and a small pizza. Nothing too crazy or over the top so we figured it was pretty simple and would be relatively fast. To our surprise it took a solid 40 minutes. We figured that one of the dishes may have taken a bit longer so we stayed patient, but when the food was served it was lukewarm nearing cold. The food was nothing special but maybe could have gotten another star had it been served hot. Sadly disappointed to be quite honest, the best part of the actual meal itself was the side of French fries that accompanied the pulled pork sandwich. Sadly, the menu prices definitely did not match the quality of food or rave reviews.

We were seated right away by a friendly host and our server who was super helpful throughout our visit. While we dined, the place got much busier and had a nice buzz to it. It had a distinct theme inside that aligns with its name and its selection of flagship brews. As I mentioned, we were hungry after a long drive so we obviously over ordered. We started with the Triple Threat Pull Apart Bread and the Crispy Pickles. Both were amazing! The bread was so soft and delicious and the pickles were savoury, but also spicy! Be warned! My partner ordered the Stuffed Yorkies because they weren't something we'd seen on a menu before. He loved them! The dish was three Yorkshire puddings stuffed full so it was also HUGE. I got the Flagship Mac and, honestly, for a place with multiple macs on the menu, it was remarkably unremarkable, unfortunately. Don't be discouraged, though! The quality of the rest of the food was so high that it made up for that tiny miss. If you're in Kamloops, check out The Noble Pig. They also have a great patio!

The place is about 1h out of Kamloops, and maybe 45 minutes from Salmon Arm. In case you're wondering, a Crannog is a Scottish (and Irish) stilted building, usually built on bogs. Getting here involves a turn onto a side street (literally an intersection, not an exit) right off Highway 1. A GPS helps big time here. Parking is available in the small lot in front of the building. There is barely enough room for 8 vehicles. Other than 1 type of brew during my visit, only pre-filled growlers were available. In other words, one cannot simply bring in a growler for a filling for most beers. Guess their operation is too small. I was able to fill my growler for $15, while my buddy picked up a pre-filled one for $20. Tours are available (free, but reservation required), which last about 1h. This is a special mention, because not only is it quite educational, but those who complete the tour get a free tasting (4 beers at the time of writing) at The Bloody Stump, their in-house tasting room. Definitely learned quite a few things. For example, almost everything used for brewing is produced on the property. The water is drawn from a well, and the hops are grown on site. The used barley is used to feed the hogs in a small pen nearby, and the hog poop is used to grow more hops. The tasting room is very cozy, but this is where one can try the different brews. Special mention goes to the Red Branch ale. This is probably one of the best craft beers I've ever had in my entire life. Yes, it's that good. I regret not picking up a pre-filled growler of that stuff.
