On a recent trip to Kamloops I spotted this brewery that looked to have a fun atmosphere inside. The pinball machines caught my attention as well as the pool table. It was pretty low-key on a Tuesday night. Service was extremely helpful and prompt. There is a ton of different draft beers to select from, and the ones I tried were super good. I also couldn't decide whether to go for some interesting appetizers or their pizza. Because they have a pizza oven I went with the Canadian pizza, and it was very yummy. I thought I would try this place because glazed and confused got a kamloops award. The place is casual and busy. I sat at the bar. While the service is decent, the food was subpar. I would say that the burger wasnt hot but just warm. The portion was also small and presentation was sloppy. I would probably not come back and go some other place for a burger. read more

Did not get my order! told me they had staffing issues, training issue... other people got their food. my wife got her food, not me. I wanted to like them so much, and then no food. apparently the cook did not read the order and mis prepared. so of course threw it away and never started it again. Went with another couple we were seated and there was only one menu on the table. When we asked our waitress for another we were told there is only one menu allowed per table. There was no more than three empty tables around us when we asked if we could borrow one of those tables menus we were told no. Seriously?? When we finally figured out what we wanted and tried to order a flight of beers we were abruptly told we could not have them. I asked if there was only one type of beer per table, our waitress laughed and said no, the two of the beers on the menu where to come and not made yet. Pro tip of it is not available it should not be on the menu. Have a beers coming board to announce new releases. We ordered the 4 beers which were available. The beers , three were ok the only one which was better than ok was the ESB. The beer is only one step up from what my friends make in there basement. For a craft brewery they need to step up their game. With so much competition mediocre won't cut it. The food was excellent! And it's really the only reason we would come back. We will give them another go as maybe they are just getting their feet under them. read more

Beer is great, pizza is great, and burgers are great! The sugarbush is a must try. Can't go wrong with the pizza but if you want something heavier the beef dip or the glazed and confused burger is fantastic. Bring an appetite! read more

My husband & I always love stopping into Alchemy. If you are looking for anything in the meats (hello brisket), poutine, pizza variety, look no further. The beers are good and they probably have some of the best food in town! So glad they made a home in Kamloops. read more

Considering it's wood fired the pizza toppings should have been hot and not like warm . Mediocre to say the least . Pizza crust tasted good but under the toppings the crust was soft rather then crunchy . Not our favourite , that's for sure . The corona version of a light beer was wonderful ! The staff is friendly and the food is tasty. Sampling their beers is a fun way to spend an afternoon. We like the smoked wings and the pizza but have had a few hit and miss dishes along the way (that's why 4 stars). This location has had a challenging history so I am pleased they survived covid and are still open for beers and creative menu. read more

The beers are good and the selection is large but I come here for the food. Specifically the poutine. There is a poutine shop not too far from here, but Alchemy does it far better. The flavours are fantastic and there are many to choose from. Not your standard boring poutine (although they have that if you want it) but wild and wonderful selections that are a delight to experience. Come for the beer, stay for the poutine. read more

Ordered the Taco's, and they were easily the smallest I've ever seen. Complained and was told it was normal due to the larger shell. Um, no its not normal. Probably as filling as a 7-11 taquito. Each did vary in fullness, but they should be equal and full. At least the flavors where good though. Beer, it was just ok, I liked 2 well enough, but the 2 others were pretty gross. Fries were extremely salty. Rest of the food was decent enough. 2.5/5. I might try them down the line when they have ironed themselves out, but for now I'd say there are better places. read more

Great food, great beer and a great atmosphere. I recommend one of the many pizzas and a flight of beer so you can try more than one of their many beers on tap. Service was great, and the restaurant has a cool vibe. Music was great too! Definitely a spot to check out while in Kamloops! read more

Three for three. We've tried a few the local brew/dinner places in town and so far not impressed. Why can't they make at least one beer that tastes like a domestic beer? I don't want grapefruit and orange slices in my beer! I know a lot of people seem to like craft brew but I'm definitely not a fan. read more

Really wanted to like this place. The music was SO loud you had to wait for a lull in order to speak to the person sitting directly across from me and I found it odd that they were playing heavy metal music when you looked around the room they were mostly 55 years and older. I had high hopes for this place, good location and great branding... but that's we're it stops. The service at lunch during the weekdays is horrendous, the beer is suspect and the atmosphere is lacking the piazzas you would expect from a new brew pub. I work fairly close so have tied this restaurant about 6 times now, I can officially say I'm done. Please don't waste your money or time here... I've done that for you. Lol read more

Went through Kamloops on a road trip and decided to stop here. Best decision I've ever made. Friendly atmosphere, staff were super nice, food was delicious. There was board games we could play as we ate. We had a poutine, corn doggies, inferno wings, and apple fries for desert. My only complaint was the wings because holy hell they were hotter than anything I've ever eaten - but our server warned us so that's on us. The rest of the food was incredible. I'm not much of a beer person but I had the hibiscus cider and it was great. Definitely stopping here again if I stop through Kamloops in the future. read more
