Just wanted something simple and a ice cold glass of beer! Our very friendly front desk person at our hotel recommended the Grand Pub & Grill in downtown Merritt. A short drive from our hotel and we are there, enter into a very local pub atmosphere and was great!! Our server greeted us and told us to seat wherever we wanted, after settling in and ordered our Alexander Keith's we proceed to order, found out that Tuesday is BBQ Rib night! You get 1/2 rack of BBQ Ribs, Caesar Salad, Baked Potatoes or Fries for $9.95!! The ribs were so tender, the meat were falling off the bones, the BBQ sauce was just right not too tart or sweet. We were impressed by the food that we ordered a soup if the day: Beef Barley Soup; this is a meal in itself! It's rich and full of beef, spicy sausage and barley. $8.25 The Pub is very popular among locals and for us visitors it offers a great place to hang out and have a good meal!!

We are in a road trip, 15 restaurants until now, no one said that. I don't understand The connection between Covid and under 10 years old kids... We were "politely" asked to leave. We sit across the street, Great food

Stayed in Merritt for a few days filming a movie. Had wonderful dines here with coworkers. Lots of beers and juicy eats. The Cajun sandwich has is juicy but not too spicy. The short rib is tender and has some decent fat on it. Recommend the Bad Tattoo if you'd like to drink local.

I had high hopes for this place after reading the other reviews, but there really isn't anything worth mentioning about this place. The service isn't all that fast, and the wait staff is too busy talking to each other to help their customers, or they'll be so focused on their regulars (which I do understand) that they ignore everyone else. I had the bacon cheese burger. I couldn't get it lettuce wrapped, but I won't hold that against them. The bacon was fine, but the patty itself was so underwhelming it was sad. No seasoning, no spice, nothing to differentiate it from any other burger place. The food wasn't bad? But it sure as hell wasn't exciting or left you wanting more.

A very nice menu and chill place for drinks and a meal. We stop by every time we're in town visiting family, they never disappoint.

Good food not pre-made stuff and healthy servings. I recommend this place and I'll be back.

A cute tidy looking pub inside and out. My husband and I decided to grab a (very) late lunch at…read moreBrown Bridge Pub when we were traveling through Princeton recently. Since Beef Dip was available on the menu, my husband decided to give that item a try. I settled on having a Chicken Caesar Wrap. Since it was the tail end of lunch hour on a weekday, all the tables cleared up indoors while we were there, and much of the patio cleared out too. For the amount of tables that were left, it still felt like we waited a long time before our food came out. My husband's beef dip was okay, nothing unique or spectacular, very solid with a good portion of roast beef. I ended up with a crispy chicken (I had expected grilled) that was light on the sauce as requested. The only thing we couldn't figure out...the saltiness of the fries. Even my husband found the fries salty and that is one guy that loves his table salt. I thought about telling the waitress, but soon talked myself out of it, fearing the answer would be "that is our normal amount of salt we use." Ironically my husband's sandwich and corresponding juice dip wasn't as salty, and that is usually the saltier one of the combo! Was a nice experience. Decor was good, service was good (sans slow food) and we may stay away from the fries next time.

This is Princeton's only pub as far as I can tell, and not a terribly divey one like some smaller…read moreBC towns offer. I decided to hit it up with some friends after a camping trip recently. In the evening, after booking a motel, I also went back there to grab a takeout burger. The place is clean and the service is friendly. The lock on the bathroom stall was broken so I had to hold the handle while using the toilet anytime somebody walked in, which was unfortunate. My order also got screwed up, as I ordered dry Cajun wings but the server brought me dry garlic. Also of note, the service was a little bit slow all around, but still friendly. On the plus side, it was nice and very cool inside which was amazing because we were all defeated by the sun. The patio is top-tier too, with views over the parched mountains surrounding Princeton. The food is nothing to write home about - just standard pub food - but the portions are ample and everything tastes fresh. The dry garlic wings were a little bland, with just garlic powder and a bit of salt on them, but were meaty and not over-fried. The Thai chicken salad, with a sliced chicken breast on top, was huge and filled with variety, but lacked a bit in the taste department. It comes with lettuce, bok choy, soft rice noodles, peppers, onions, peanuts and tomatoes, and was dressed with a peanut and Thai sauce. Later in the evening, the 1516 on draft was nice and cold, and the Bridge Burger (beef) was pretty tasty! The burger was topped with the standards, but the homemade bacon jam really sets it apart! The accompanying yam fries, however, were slightly undercooked, so I only had a few and tossed them out. It was a real shame, seeing as how the burg was on point! In conclusion, go check this place out if you're in town and looking for some decent pub grub and cold beers. They have buckets of mix n matched tall boys for $25 for 5, which is good in my books. Also, my friends had the Beef Dip and Chicken Club House and raved about them being good! At the very least you'll leave full and tipsy!

They told me "Am email had been sent saying the room was cancelled". I told them the only email I received was from Expedia telling me to "Prepare for my trip to Lillooet" the day before. They then said "Oh the email was never sent". But they could not tell me who cancelled the room. My Expedia App still told me I had a room. Then they told me that I had to take it up with Expedia because it was their problem. No rooms available. I think they were overbooked and cancelled the Expedia reservation. Do not stay here as they will cancel your reservation without telling you and you are stuck in a small town without any other rooms available. Contacted Expedia, they didn't know the room was canceled, ensured I wasn't charged. Beware booking here.

I am a Lillooet local who has never visited this pub until recently. I currently live in Vancouver,…read moreBC and going out to bars in Lillooet is not something I often do because I find them to be boring to say the least. However, if all you want is a clean, fun, and friendly environment to hang out with your friends, I would say there are many other bars in Lillooet to choose from. This bar does have the benefit of it staying open later than some others, but I would not recommend it. My reasons, albeit a bit vague for the sake of trying to avoid an overly lengthy review. I experienced very poor and unprofessional service within this establishment. I came in with some friends and was immediately targeted before they even asked me for my ID or allowing me the to really do anything within their bar. While also having the nerve to make-up lies in response to me asking why I was being kicked out, they replied abruptly and dismissive while leading me to the door. I was told that I was too "drunk" when I do admit that I can have an over the top personality when having fun and many people have mistaken me for being drunk because of my outgoing disposition. I see this as no real reasoning for telling me to leave. I do, however, understand that it is the bar workers full discretion who does get to enter and stay within the building, but they had no real reason for kicking me out. In conclusion, It was the first and last time I will visit this place because I am not interested in being targeted and kicked out based on their own preconceived notions about me. Bad vibes.
