Slop on a plate aka bbq chicken burger

I keep trying to give this restaurant a chance because my family and I absolutely loved it 8 years ago. But every location seems to disappoint. I would say go for pie and nothing else. Fries were undercooked in old stale oil. My bbq chicken burger was an absolute sloppy mess. The bun was so soggy and the flavour was just not good. Waitress never even asked if we wanted a refill of our fountain pops and they were almost 8.00 for two! That's an absolute joke. Won't be giving them anymore chances. It's a shame.

If you are driving by or need some decent food than Fast food Check this place out in Hope! Ordered for take out, friendly service when making the call and picking up the food. The ambiance inside the restaurant is family friendly and looked like a local favourite restaurant! We ordered: * Braised Beef Dip Sandwich (recommend) $18.70 Subbed with a Clam Chowder $1 Extra (recommend) * Clubhouse sandwich $19 Subbed with a Poutine Extra $3.50 * Strawberry Peach Pie Slice $6.29 I loved the flavours of the Braised beef dip sandwich, the au jus was delicious and very flavourful with a nice buttered bun. The clam chowder was creamy and tasty and I like how they gave some crackers. As for the turkey club nothing to special about the deli turkey meat, was quite dry over sour dough thin bread. The poutine is new York style russet cut potatoes but they barely added any cheese curds, so I wouldn't recommend to order these but friendly service and not to bad food. As for the strawberry peach pie, wasn't to sour but fresh. Probably wouldn't get that flavour again and I'll try the apple pie but flaky crust! Overall, Would come back to try other food!

Home Restaurant - the name says it all, it is the type of food you will get from your Mom or Grandma! After diving in from Vancouver, we decided to get a simple meal before going back to the hotel. Ordered their Home Style Clam Chowder & two dinner entrees and both were done very well: Hunter Chicken : Breast of Chicken Pan Fried and topped with Mushrooms and Gravy, the chicken was tender and still juicy inside without being dried out. The mushroom slices mixed with the gravy made the chicken even more tasty! A fan of Beef or Calf's Liver, this is a dish I would automatically order if its on the menu. I am glad I did, the portion is HUGE, it came with 2 very big slices of liver, bacon and fried onion! The liver was drenched in flour before pan fried, it has a very rich flavour only fans of this dish would appreciate, both slices of liver were very tender without being over cooked and become rubbery. The gravy and the bacon is what makes this dish, and they both delivered. Love the crispy bacon! This is a no-nonsense kind of restaurant, all the servers are friendly and fast, this would be a good stop over for anyone who wants to have a family style meal while travelling on the highway!

Had a quick lunch at this place over the long weekend and our experienced was good. The restaurant was busy but we were able to sit right away from the table with drippings/leaking from the roof. We were not happy with the overall service and experienced but the food we ordered was really good, I love the freshness of the Club Sandwich and Clam Chowder soup was a winner.

Back in June and July I was here doing some rally stuff. And what do rally guys who do rally stuff eat? Well, they eat at Home of course! Same meal as the other location in Hope BC but here, they don't offer you soya sauce with your Schnitzel. You just get loads and loads of artery cloggin fried meat and gravy!!! Yummy, for the tummy but bad bad bad for the heart. Which I have recently come to learn of late that eating at home isn't always healthy for you. But if you are more healthy concious you can order the salad or the veggie burger or sub out the fries with veggies. There are options here.

Maybe you're…read morepassing through this by-station of a place because you're on your way through the Rockies to AB or coming back. Whatever the reason, we all stop for urgent body functions - whether it be for intake or outtake (so to speak). Breakfast is the cornerstone of getting you started off on the right path of regularity. I still don't understand why Chicken and Pigs are the breakfast foods and not Cows but who's to argue about good bacon? Surely not me. I'm a bit of a bougie breakfast guy - you know, eggs delicately poached and placed ever so carefully on some form of flat starch, served with a sauce that better not be broken or I might go nuke on you. AND sometimes I'm that guy that wants a good chicken and waffle. And then if I'm having one of those days, I just want a good ol' American brekkie... You know the ones. If you're a GenX and older, it's that breakfast we saw on TV that everyone ate. The artery blocking, waist expanding, but who gives a crap 'cause I'm on cholesterol meds Breakfast of Champions. Well, if you're in that mood, you found the right place. Tootsies - I'm leaving the politically correct name crusades to all those "others" as I just came to quell the need for grease - by all extent is the place to get your brekkie on. It's a no-nonsense diner with decor that befits the era where food was served and no one knew what a nutritional guide was. AND it's located in what else, the areas industrial spot, where people can eat a buzzillion calories and burn it off before lunch. Walk in and you get a polite "sit anywhere you want" and we do. Table and booths are available, equally having the slight stickiness that says you are at an old fashioned diner. Ahhhh... My childhood floods back! Food here is simple. Eggs, meat, starchy stuff and coffee. They come in different sizes and if you had your ozempic shot, order away! Eggs were spot on, bacon was salty perfect, and coffee had that unforgetable taste of a carafe with brown slick of coffees past - ahhhhh... Good old days! It's not destination dining but if you happen to be out and about and don't know where to break your fast? Think Tootsies - no matter what you might think of the name. Cheers.

Lillooet isn't the world's most bumpin' place, so it didn't take too much to decide to eat here…read more It's located conveniently at a T-intersection as you pull into the town. The restaurant is part of the Reynolds Hotel. Parking is ample, since it looks like everyone walks here. Not a bad thing at all, since the weather here is freaking awesome. When we walked in, it was full of people stuffing their faces on sandwiches, which is always a good sign. The staff were VERY friendly and helpful, which is nice. This is one of the things I really like about smaller towns. People take the time to chat with you. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich with fries. The turkey was dry, but that's to be expected with breast meat. But the egg infused into the bread reminded me of HK-style French toast. The fries weren't quite crispy enough (maybe a bit raw?) but on the other hand, they weren't dripping with oil, which is a good thing. While eating my sandwich, I noticed several people ordering cherry cheesecake ($5.25), so I gave it a go too. This has to be one of the best cheesecakes I've had anywhere. It had just the right amount of sweetness, and the cherry sauce balanced it out PERFECTLY. This is worth a special mention. You will not be disappointed. One last random piece of trivia: Rogers/Fido does NOT get reception here. But Telus/ Bell does. Take that, Rogers. Overall, a nice alternative to Dina's Place, which seems to have hogged the other 90% of the reviews in this town.

Honestly just skip this restaurant. I wish I took pictures to show how bad the food is but it…read morewasn't even worth taking pictures of. The patio was dirty when we arrived, as there were multiple tables that still had food on them that had not been cleared. After waiting for over an hour for our food, and seeing the waitress for the first time since dropping off our app, the waitress returned to our table asking if we ended up ordering mains. She explained that she had forgotten to put our order in - which isn't a big deal, except the food was NOT worth waiting for. I should have cancelled the order and went to a new restaurant, but this was the only restaurant open in town :( apparently the good restaurants are only open Friday's and Saturday's ? I ordered the daily special - A Thai Stir fry with noodles in a sweet Thai sauce. My wife ordered the Lasagna rolls. The lasagna actually looked really good when the food finally landed on that table after waiting over an hour and a half. We were excited to try the lasagna after seeing the table beside us order the same thing, earlier in the evening. Unfortunately the dish was bland and was LOADED with cheese. It was so heavy and not good we left 3/4 of it on the table - and trust I NEVER leave food on the table. My wife mentioned it tasted like ground beef was added to sloppy joe mix and layered in the lasagna noodles covered in cheese - and was not seasoned, whatsoever. Damn, what a disappointment. Unfortunately the Thai special was even worse. Not sure where the "Thai" part came in to play but this was a poor attempt at a basic stir fry. The chicken and veggies which seemed to be boiled first, were not seasoned and tossed onto a bed of half cooked dry vermicelli egg noodles? Not sure what noodles they were but definitely not anything close to being in a Thai dish. The sauce was sweet and had no other layers of flavour. Not a single spice was used in this dish. To top it off the "Thai" special was served with burnt garlic bread and a side of warm Caesar salad. Not sure who approved the daily special but that person should not be recommending specials, let alone running a restaurant. The best thing on the menu was the Diet Coke I had to drink. Both my wife and I never expect food to be given away, but no attempt was given to try and rectify our poor dining experience. Honestly, even a compensated app would not bring me back, but the effort / gesture would have went a long way here. This place is not looking for return customers and it shows. I walked out of this restaurant scouring over the bill trying to figure out why I just spent $100 at this restaurant, and why we just didn't grab food from the gas station across the street.
