Visiting Kelowna, we decided to go to this popular restaurant specializing in steak. The restaurant's exterior was very stylish, and the interior was just as impressive. We sat at the bar counter and waited for a table. The service was excellent; the staff were very attentive and helpful.
We ordered Beef Tartare and Grilled Octopus for starters. For the main course, we ordered the Delmonico--aged 45 days, a 16-ounce thick-cut ribeye that was popularized by the Delmonico Restaurant in New York City. Since the steak was 16 ounces, we decided to share one main.
The grilled octopus had a slight spiciness from the horseradish sauce. At the bottom of the plate, there was pork belly. When we had the octopus with the pork belly, they matched very well together.
The Beef Tartare with bone marrow was a great dish. We enjoyed the bone marrow with grilled focaccia. The beef tartare itself was nicely seasoned and very delicious.
Then, the 45-day aged rib-eye steak came to our table. It was a thick cut and a bit chewy. I preferred the sauce to be a bit thinner. It was a big portion, and we enjoyed this dish.
We ordered Baked Alaska for dessert, and it was a fantastic dish. The staff flambéed the top of the cake, and we enjoyed the ice cream inside with cherry sauce.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The ambience was great, and the staff's service was excellent. Since this restaurant is extremely popular, making a reservation is a must. read more
