They were out of the California roll I wanted and our server felt so bad I didn't end up ordering anything that she went and checked on it. She then found out it was back in stock and rang it in for me! I had just eaten recently before I came and was totally ok with just having a drink but she wouldn't have it! Great service! Earls Kitchen and Bar is a chain restaurant in Canada. In Kelowna, Earls is located right on the waterfront, with beautiful views of the lake. It's kind of a fancy place and the food is decent. It got rather crowded later in the night, but if you manage to get a table by the window, it would be a lovely place for a date. The service was great. Everything came out and was correct, played well, seasoned well, etc. They also have a great cocktail menu and have a full bar. They had a lot of waitstaff and they all looked very professional. I liked the ambiance. It's a cool place with interesting table set ups and chairs and kind of a tropical flair with the fake plants all around. I ordered the steak frites after finding out the steak and sushi was not available that night. The steak was a little tough, but maybe that's just Canadian beef for you? Aye? lol. The fries were good. The family ordered a whole lot of different things and everything looked really delicious. The only downside is that they are located on the second floor of an old building that doesn't have an elevator. If you have anyone in your party unable to walk up or down stairs, you're out of luck and need to go somewhere else :/ read more

Greyden was our server and he was super sweet and helpful with the menu, and the manager Akash went above and beyond for us on a very special night! That sounds brutal but it's true.. and I WAS WRONG. Up the stairs you go and you get to a bright, airy, spacious, busy Earls that overlooks downtown Kelowna (near the piers). We are seated quickly for happy hour on Sunday afternoon. After a day of drinking wine and checking out breweries, we weren't exactly in the mood for any cocktail specials but just their classic rhino beers on special. Vegan buffalo cauliflower calls my name and my tastebuds (my mouth is re-imagining the tangy taste of buffalo sauce right now.. MMM), Hawaiian Coconut prawns shouts to the tastebuds of the others, garlic fries sound like a good staple, but chicken tacos sound like they will fill us up! The *buffalo cauliflower* were breaded and tasty with the buffalo sauce. Not too spicy, and perfectly saucy, but not too saucy. Served with celery and a dip. Perfect. *Garlic fries* are exactly what you expect them to be, but that's good with me. I am a sucker for anything garlic.. Could've probably had more garlic and I would've been in heaven! *Street chicken tacos* were a tad disappointing for me. I can't recall them being anything special, or juicy or anything. A little bland. Maybe provide a side sauce vs. only just a lime wedge? Other than filling and one of the cheaper filling items, I'd pass. The Hawaiian coconut prawns were delicious. Who can go wrong with breaded prawns/shrimp? The sauce accompanying the dish had a curry tang, which was awesome. The mango slaw had a slightly sour vinegary smell.. Is that weird? I'm not sure, but I ate it anyways and it was decent. Anyways, our experience was overall good. Great location once upstairs, I think they even have a killer patio one level higher. I believe our server's name was Mac and she was wonderful. The spinach and cheese dip, again, not what I was expecting - was outstanding!! The crunch of the bread paired so well with the creamy and chunky dip. Every bite of my garlic grilled Chicken Caesar salad was perfect. I am staying at the Delta and was pleasantly surprised Earls was walking distance. Had dinner at the bar, Ryder K served be and did an excellent job. I had the Albino Ryno as its my go to beer and had the cajun Chicken dinner which is also my go to. Both were excellent, the only recommendation I can make is there needs to be more bacon and horseradish in the hot potato salad. It came right off the bone and very tendered. Not yet to the point melt in your mouth. the Cajun chicken was ok as well. Chicken very juicy but it was a bit spicy though. The ribs came with potatoe salad and coleslaws. Very yummy. Decor of the place was very romantically laid out. Nice and dim. Its located right across from Ogopogo sail statue. Yes which means you can catch Pokemon while eating here. Just right across from the Pokestops. Service was great here. Washroom very clean and modern. Came here as a group of 6 during May long weekend for brunch on Saturday. We didn't have reservations, but they had a table open for us when we arrived. There is a happy hour brunch menu from 10am-noon, so we took advantage of that! Food and service was good, and the views were great from the restaurant! Great location and perfect spot for dinner. Food was good but the service wasn't that great on both occasions. Our waiter was hard to track down and we found ourselves waiting around allot ( drink order, food order and clearing plates) When dining with a child you need those things to be pretty seamless. Eventually we had to ask a waitress if she could bring our bill since we couldn't wait for our server to come back since he just left us sitting there. Didn't really want to like this place, as I'll admit to being a little biased against chain restaurants, but I was pleasantly surprised. Great location with awesome lakeside views softened up my skepticism. Then I had a Thai Bowl with quinoa, vegetables and shrimp (and a curry broth to pour over it) and I really enjoyed it. Their menu seems to do a little of everything (e.g. Thai food and Fish Tacos??), which is usually a recipe for mediocrity, but if the other items are as good as the Thai bowl, then they seem to have this figured out! Came to Earls to nurse our hangovers with some classic Caesars, which we grabbed while waiting for a table to open up on the patio overlooking the Okanagan. The service was great and they let us sit there for a very long time while we were being indecisive and chatty. I went with the Chicken, Brie + Fig sandwich, which was delicious. My friends ordered the Santa Fe Chicken Salad and the Chicken Tacos. The report back was that the salad was great, but the tacos were eh. We ended up ordering the peach sangria post-Caesars, which came out in a pitcher that claimed to serve 4, but served almost 2.5 tops. Our server topped us off when we mentioned this, which was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, in the end the sangria was crazy sweet and the peaches seemed to come from a can. I would recommend going with something else. Go for the view, the chicken, brie + fig sandwich, and a Sunday Caesar. I had a really good time at Earls this past weekend! Note: Make sure you definitely make a reservation if you are looking to eat there on the weekends. Otherwise you will be waiting for a long time. Thankfully we did - and we were seated immediately. The location is beautiful. We had a cute little booth that was right next to the window and overlooked the water. It was a very picturesque view of the lake that we definitely appreciated. I had the Prawn Linguine and it was delicious! Sometimes you just need a nice bowl of pasta to make your night. Service was good! We had a nice server who was born and raised in Kelowna and gave us some great tips! I had a Negroni here but there was definitely something off about it unfortunately. I finished it but stuck with wine for the remainder of my dinner. Other than that however, we had a great time! read more

One of best happy hours I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The atmosphere is modern and the views are spectacular. The waitresses are all beautiful. Nobody wants to be served by inner beauty at a happy hour. Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the area and offered us several valuable tips and great food recommendations. Well, if anyone here knows me, you'd know there's no way in hell I'd be happy and willing to go to Earl's if the choice was mine. And I never thought I'd actually give Earl's more than 3 stars because it's a chain and the food is so generic. Well, the latter is still true; the food was quite generic. However, I was starving after a scary almost-boat crashing situation that left us stranded at the waterfront park for 2 hours. Once that was done, we went for dinner and no, Earl's was not my choice! But the whole group had their heart set on it so I went without saying a word against it. Firstly, the wait was supposedly 1 hour. However, the restaurant gets props for seating the 7 of us within 20 minutes. On the patio though--and it started getting cold and we had no jackets (stranded!). The waitress was quite busy, so it was kind of hard to flag her down. Or else, we were probably just quite impatient and wanted everything pronto because we were hungry and tired. She was nice though. For drinks I got the blackberry mojito--which was nice and refreshing on a hot day. But made me cold on the breezy patio. :( I ordered the prawn and scallop linguini which was quite good. I finished the whole dish because I was starving. My only complaint is that they don't serve their pasta with any toast or anything! I wish I had known that sooner so I'd have ordered a side one in the beginning. Anywho... I did order one half way through my meal and it came at the end. I downed that too. The biggest highlight of this restaurant which makes me give it its 4th star is the waitress for having and bringing us blankets! We were pretty chilly and I asked the waitress (since I heard from Yelp at another Vancouver Earl's they have blankets for patio people) if they had blankets and she came back with 2--sure not enough for 7 ppl but she brought all she had. If you like patios, this Earls is perfect with its view of the Okanagan Lake and the city pier. There is ample street parking in the area, is inexpensive and only metered until 5 PM. We came for the appy hour specials (weekday before 5 PM and also late at night). You definitely don't have to pay much to leave feeling full. We ordered four things that had us completely full by the time we were done (and we came in very hungry): - 8" Margherita Pizza (+ Mushrooms): They advertise it as an 8-inch pizza, but it came smaller than that. Still, the crust was airy and light and the pizza was not loaded with sauce. It was a good starter. - Garlic fries: Very delicious and served with a dip that adds even more of a kick to the already tasty fries. - Street Chicken Tacos: They came in 4's and were spicier than we thought, but filled with greens that helped neutralize the heat. It was good nonetheless. - Leroy's Crispy Ribs: This wasn't our favourite dish of the night. The ribs were on the saltier side and were too dry. All in all, the food was reasonably priced and the service was great (our waitress was very attentive and polite). If I am in the area again looking for an early dinner, this is the place to go. read more

Came on May 12, was visiting from Vancouver. First time at this location. I am a huge Earl's fan and frequent several locations close to home. I know their menu inside-out! Came here, pretty long wait, obnoxious crowd but no fault of Earl's... Let's get to it; The server's name was Nicole. I ordered fish taco's with only fish and a drizzle of sauce on it - nothing else. Nicole rolled her eyes as she took the order! Friend ordered the fish tacos also, she asked him if his would be "modified" also - almost sarcastically. I was not impressed. Girlfriend ordered chicken tacos but with the chicken breast meat instead of the marinated meat that the tacos normally come with. We know its marinaded chicken because we order them all the time and are regular Earl's customers. Nicole rudely said it is 100% not a marinade... not wanting to argue girlfriend agreed said sure, without the marinade is fine. Low and behold the tacos arrive and it is the chicken breast! obviously kitchen staff knows the chicken it comes with is marinade, don't want marinade? the solution is sub the chicken for breast.. like we asked! Also her sangria arrived overflowing and mess, sticking all over the table and napkin that had to be placed underneath. Why would a server bring over a messy/sloppy drink? Lastly while we were waiting for Nicole to come over so can request the bill - we just wanted to leave at this point. I observed her sitting with customers(friends??) for about 10 minutes before coming over. Friends or not this is pretty unprofessional to seat yourself and just chit-chat with others, especially on a Saturday night when the place is packed and you have tables to tend to. Not impressed with this location or Nicole. We still tipped her 15% but left underwhelmed. We eat at Earl's anywhere from 1-4 times a week. I know Earl's has a standard that they like to maintain and expect, this was not the case on our visit. Side note, the food tasted fine as expected. read more

I made a reservation at the Bar too for 6:45 pm. We were delayed about 10 minutes so I phoned to let them know. I said "I have a reservation at the bar for 6:45 but will be a few minutes late". They said no problem. We arrived and they had no seats at the bar. The hostess said "oh I missed that you reserved the Bar top". Nothing offered to compensate us for THEIR mistake. They sat us at a table with the Sun in my eyes. They said "when a seat opens at the bar we will move you". We saw two seats open up, but they sat other people there. We will NOT be returning!! I was chasing the perfect steak n' lobster weekend about a month ago. (Late review. Been busy).. First, I went to Mickey's Pub & their $20 steak & lobster deal was actually better than Earls, price & quality wise. It was good! Cactus Club the night before was also good. No complaints there but Earls was actually a bad experience for a $60+ dish after tax. I eat medium rare. I got charred edges & well done steak. My lobster showed up cold with no butter. My server never came back to ask how the food was. He was more interested in the table of girls across the way. After a while, I flagged down a completely different server to ask for butter & a beer for my buddy who was now finished his dinner & nursing a long empty glass. My butter showed up promptly, 10 minutes later. I had finished eating as well at this point. I still tipped $5 because I'm nice. I did tell my server why I gave him so little because he deserved to know. Side note for the cooks: less steak spice is more. read more

As it turned out they did there best to get the 6 of us seated very quickly. The girls at the front were very sweet. We were greeted by our extremely friendly waiter.
