I love me some Earls. While working in BC this summer I hit up this location a few times and was always fed something tasty. Be it the fresh artichoke and feta dip, curry with surprisingly good naan, chicken tacos (get them, right now, as an appetizer or meal), or the seafood pasta (get the freshly ground pepper). It is an especially good place for a large group of people because of the diverse menu. BUT beware that they do not take reservations after 7 PM. The setup inside is quite booth-y so try to get there before the peak times to grab bigger tables. For the most part, service was pretty excellent. Oh yeah, except this one time that a server misunderstood a request and took it out on the whole table. I'll explain. The waitress was really nice. The end of the meal came. A few of my friends asked for their change back, preferring to leave the tip on the table before leaving. No big deal, you would think. Yet, this was a very big deal to the waitress. Her charm turned off in a flash and she just stood by the table tapping her foot expectantly and angrily, processing the situation. "Are you tipping me?", she huffed. No tip at that exact moment does not mean no tip at all! We tried to explain; it didn't go over well as she just rolled her eyes. I paid by credit card, which she took and then stormed away without a word. When she came back she dropped my stuff back on the table as we sat in disbelief. We all tipped. That's just one anecdote that unfortunately sours the ultimate Earls experience. As you can see, I have returned time and time again anyways for the patio, the food and sometimes the peer pressure. read more

Had a dinner with friends. We ordered different dishes. The calamari was so good. Always my favours. The steak was very good, just cooked the way we like with those cute veggies (kind of broccolis I guess). The only thing we were little disappointed was the sushi with steak combo. The sushi rice and the prawn tempura inside were hard. Also the ponzu sauce in the steak doesn't really match together. But other than that, the dinner was great. read more

I had a terrific bowl of Kung Pao noodles and shrimp here, as well as an excellent 'espresso love' martini cocktail. Everything was delicious, and, as is typical of Earl's, all of the wait-staff were very attractive, for whatever that's worth to you. This location has a nice view of the lake and the pier. Earls is always a good choice and a safe bet for good pub food and service. And this particular branch probably has the best location in all of Kelowna! From the upstairs patio you can see the whole beach, and all the happening events in downtown. read more

Not quite the usual Earls experience. Service was a bit stiff, cutlery was dirty, no kids menu but we we're offered a kids fettuccine which was tiny (see my photo) and our water was not refilled. To be fair, out slow roasted ribs were nice and dry ribs up to the standard. read more

Good happy hour and really good patio/roof top. As others have suggested, if you are looking to eat dinner here you should probably make reservations as the wait time was long. We came for happy hour one night and tried to come back for dinner the next night and realized this. Happy hour was great though - they have quite a few food options and drinks were good as well. They even put the incorrect garnish in my boyfriends whiskey-coke.. they put a lime in it which is usually what you'd put with a rum-coke. One of the managers came by concerned and said he thought we had ordered a whiskey coke and if my boyfriend was allergic to rum. He told the manager it was in fact a whiskey coke and that he's not allergic and the guy let out a sigh of relief and said "oh good, I saw the lime and thought we accidentally served you a rum and coke and some people are very allergic to rum". So it was nice that he was attentive and paying attention to things going on. The patio is great. The seating around the edges are longer benches that feel like couches and there's a nice view of the lake/park. Highly suggest checking it out! read more

earls with cassidy was absolutely the best restaurant experience i've ever had. normally the restaurants on the kelowna strip have such an in and out impersonal feel to them; however, cassidy made sure this was not the case. the food, the hospitality, and the atmosphere simply dominated all of the competition in the area and i see no reason for earls to not be everyone's obvious dining choice! read more

The ponzu grilled salmon I ordered was melt in your mouth! The dynamite roll was also really good (I think it had mango in it; interesting!) but wasn't the best sushi in town, not that I expected it to be. The server was friendly, had good timing, and good service overall. The only thing that wasn't so great was the glasses had stains and "stuff" at the bottom, and the cutlery had a lot of watermarks and other bits stuck on them. read more

Came here with the hubby for lunch and we were able to get a fantastic booth on the patio over looking the park and lake! The waitress was great and the food was also very good. I have no complaints, I know some of the restaurants went through a bit of a slump and their quality went down hill for a while, but I can assure you, its back up and running to what they used to be. Didn't get to eat here despite our plans to do so because my 91 year-old father/in-law couldn't walk up the stairs. We are from out of town and no idea there were at least 20 steps. When we made the reservation we asked for a quiet table because we said we had an elderly person with a hearing loss with us. Would have been nice to get a heads up about the stairs. I see the website says it is not wheelchair accessible but had no idea there were so many stairs. Beware of stairs!! BTW the hostess was apologetic when I went upstairs. Very nice. Never been to an Earl's before. I would definitely come back. The service was good, and the food was very good. The steak was fantastic although I can't speak for any of the other main dishes. The nachos were good as well, but were rather small. I would imagine the view would be lovely, if it weren't for all the smoke from the Washington wildfires currently burning. Great view here and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately the food was mediocre. Two of us ordered the steak, one medium and one medium rare, and it was very easy to tell they mixed ours up. Regardless the steak came out lukewarm and wasn't very tender. The calamari was decent and the burger was a little small. Alright, I come from Edmonton and we got great Earl's, and yes, I remember the parrots Pam (or Pamela as your mother and father named you). So I expect greatness. I work in sales and I know customer service. I am also a Christian minister and I know JESUS created greatness in six days. Yeah I know and desire greatness. I see greatness when the homeless share, I see greatness when the wave hits the beach and gives back the ray of sunlight, and yes, I see greatness when a beautiful creature is bringing me food and drink, especially the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Pam is a lot of fun and deserves a big raise. She seems to work hard, she smiles, and I think she actually cares. Treat her well and she will probably continue to treat us well. BTW there is a waitress here with legs that reach the sky. Haha Earl's girls. read more

We were impressed by a few things yesterday...the food and the service and also the patio view! The Happy Hour bites are excellent. The $8 cauliflower is to die for! The Caesar salad was great too. The service on the patio was stellar on a very busy day during Happy Hour! It has been awhile since we have been to an Earls. It is too bad most of the locations got rid of the long standing favourite of the mediterranean pasta! We think locations in Lethbridge and Kamloops might still serve it. They do have a revised menu with plant based proteins! Good job Earls! We have been to over a dozen+ Earls locations over the years (from BC, Alberta, Ontario, Colorado) and this is one of the best overall! The view is simply excellent! read more

Came in and the place was packed, We tried to speak to anyone that worked there and they ignored us or said they would return to seat us but did not. . We ended up walking out after 20 minutes of waiting to even have someone say more then 2 words to us, we didn't feel like standing there waiting just to be seated. Very unprofessional. read more

Six of us, 2 moms and 4 teenagers, had a fabulous late evening dinner up on the roof! We got to enjoy the sun setting over the lake while we dined on great pasta, excellent Ceasar salad, yummy rosemary pan bread, and the best clam chowder I've had in a long time. So I'm not get into food, because it's just like every other Earls review... Here are the important things to know: -It's crazy busy and bumping, the wait can be ridiculously long. So plan ahead -Really nice setting and view. A more hip Earls, than the ones you see in Greater Vancouver -They tried to give me burnt food...like seriously...I'm not blind...are they? This Earls does not disappoint. This is a hot spot with outstanding views of the lake. The food is delicious and the drinks were fresh and tasty. My favorite drink is the "Mad Hatter" - order it, it will not disappoint! We were very impressed with the attentive service, especially because the whole place was packed. This is the kind of place that you bring out of town guests to and also go and eat with your family. Both brunch and dinner were excellent. A few mistakes made on our table of 9, but the courtesy and apologies definitely made it OK. The food is very delicious, try the bimbimbap and Okanagan local wines! This place was so busy, 2 hour waits. I called in and the host said they would put on his call ahead list and we offered to sit at different tables since there were so many of us, they were going to put us side by side but the kids were fading. Husband and co. got a spot at the bar, the waitress at the bar was awesome, she took our huge order got it in super fast and made it "to go" we took it back to our hotel and every dish was so good and she got every item on the order didn't miss a thing. Loved the view. Server was great, manager was.... (more on that later). Took 20 min to get our first drinks even though our table was attached to the bar. My husband's meal was perfect. I got the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. The rice bowl was hot and very tasty all except for the chicken that was sitting on top- it was cold and some was raw pink. Server offered to send it back so I got a new dish. Manager who came to talk to us after was "friendly" however very quick to point out how wrong I was in the chicken being raw- which I didn't appreciate the passive aggressiveness of. Great place to eat from 11:30 am, they have the roof top which is really nice to be there. We asked burguers which were so good and comes with side (caesar salad or soup or fries) and some days they have 2 cad offthe signature cocktails. Price is average and freindly service. read more

This Earls is my favourite them all. It's at the heart of Kelowna's downtown and features a great and unobstructed view of the Spirit of Sail, City Park and the lake, whether you are sitting inside or out. Make sure to ask for a window seat! Same standard Earls menu - and the food that comes out is always great - a special treat. Servers are consistently friendly and helpful. On my last visit the food was very slow, but they made it up to us by throwing in desert on them - it isn't a regular occurrence. read more
