I've been here twice so far with groups of 4-6 people. The food is delicious and the servers do a great job. Everyone is very friendly and they make you feel like they are happy you're there. The decor is fun and comfortable. I really enjoy tequila, and their selection of agave spirits is the best I've seen in BC. Not only is the selection fantastic, but the two bar managers, Baptiste and Nicole, are truly amazing. They have a deep understanding of the world of agave and were so fun to talk to. Extremely good food and very well priced, plain and simple! Tacos are quite small so definitely get 2-3. I'd also just order as you go, our food came out really quick we just ordered more as needed! The food we tried, Baja Fish Taco and mini Ahi Tuna tostadas were both delicious. It wasn't quite enough for 2 - we should have shared the tostadas and each had the generous taco. However flavor wise it was well rewarded! The rotating beer on tap was a tasty stout. Service was a little slow, and I would have liked some modern Latin music vs the slightly too loud pop. We were staying at the Inn at Big White and always passed the restaurant/bar. It has a lively atmosphere and during their busy hours, there was a line. I had the impression that people normally make reservations, so if you're going during the later hours, I would do the same. We were squeezed into a table for four. Server immediately came around to take drink orders. Decided on beer and an order of chicharrones which was made fresh!!! It was sooooooo good with the beer! For dinner we ordered a nachos, chicken quesadilla, and carne asada burrito. Nachos was huge and more than enough for four people. Loaded with cheese, jalapeños, pickles onions, and pico de gallo. The carne asada burrito had nice chunks of steak in it and very filling. The quesadilla was ok, but it was like an appetizer portion. Just one tortilla folded in half w/chicken and cheese. For dessert we ordered the freshly made churros with caramel sauce. YUUUUUMMM! Would be even better to have it with a scoop of ice cream!!!!!! Mmmmmmm!! read more

I loved the ambience here--it was such a vibe. Food was nice classic Mexican and there were tons of gluten free options. I had the chicharones pork rinds, which were amazing and cooked in a separate gf fryer, as well as the grilled steak enchiladas in a corn tortilla, which was extremely filling. The dishes themselves don't have much heat, but you can ask them for a side of their habanero sauce, because that stuff KICKS. Highly recommend it. The cocktails were alright, although the names of the cocktails probably outclassed the taste. The service was solid. Overall, we had a great time! read more

Stopped by for a meal after boating all morning. When I went online to make a reservation, they said they didn't have any spots but we just walked by and they had seats immediately for us. The coconut habanero margarita was delicious - loved the rim. The tacos were just okay. They were a little small and not very flavourful. I tried the fried avocado, shrimp and fish. Groovy cantina off the main street of Downtown Kelowna. I was in town visiting my brother and we stopped in for beer and tacos. Great food - a bit spicy but nothing that will ruin a meal just add a tinge of flavour. It's sort of noisy inside, so not the place to take a grandparent, but a great vibe for having a drink and enjoying a good meal. We saw a few families with little kids but a lot of college students having margaritas on a night out with their nachos. read more

We were in the mood for Mexican and in the area so after searching a few reviews we decided to try Catina Del Centro. We were seated quickly and the restaurant was clean. We chose to stay inside rather than eat on the patio. My wife ordered tacos and I settled on enchiladas. Unfortunately they were out of chicken so that limited our options. The beef enchiladas were ok. Pretty average unfortunately. My wife had an assortment of tacos, her favourite being the fish and the avocado. Again, the beef was average as while the pork was unique it was a little overpowering with the cumin/cinnamon. Decent guacamole with store bought chips and bland pico de gallo. Nothing was bad but nothing tasted authentic. Pretty average Mexican cuisine. read more

Got some dinner while on a work trip and had to go back for lunch the next day. The staff is super friendly The food is bomb, the only reason they don't get five stars is because the portion size could be a little bigger or little bit cheaper. Amazing. It's hard to find good Mexican food, but this place was spot on. Their tacos are out of this world delicious. We ordered the pork and pineapple enchiladas and the shrimp, avocado, and whitefish tacos. I also enjoyed two of their margaritas. I recommend the coconut habanero margarita. I didn't care for the Mezcal, lavender, etc., margarita (I forget the name) as the aftertaste of the smokey tequila was overpowering. read more
