Solid cocktails, hip hop vibes. We popped into Kraftys to escape the rain and warm ourselves with a cocktail. So happy we did! Their vibe is "hip hop industrial" and the tunes are bumping even during breakfast! The space is open, warehouse with medal and wood fixtures and tables. It still managed to be cozy, helped by the warmth inside relative to the cold deluge outside. We ordered an eggs Benedict to nosh while sipping out drinks of choice (espresso martini for me and a Caesar for my fried) and were both very happy with our cocktails. The eggs Benedict was alright, but oh my, the side of potatoes was amazing! We fought over the crispy well seasoned morsels until the waiter broke us up by removing the plate. I came here for brunch, and it was amazing! I went with my sister and cousins and we all enjoyed everything we ordered. You have to get the pancakes. They are to die for. Overall, everything was great. All the Benny's were scrumptious. It is super loud inside blasting with hip hop music, so make reservations outside on the patio, weather permitting if you want to chat. HIP HOP BRUNCH!!! What is more delicious than having eggs Benedict, outside on a warm sunny September day in the Okanagan and listening to the BEST 90's hip hop and R&B?! This experience was on my bucket list and boy am I glad we got to experience this. Upon arrival the restaurant staff checked our vaccination status and IDs and we were seated shortly after that outside on their beautiful patio. All the staff were wearing hip hop style clothing and really added to the experience. The menu was all named hip hop names which was super cool. We each got a different brunch item and mimosas made with different juices! Pineapple, mango, orange juice. The food was DELICIOUS!!! So yummy and a lot of food so I definitely felt full after this. They even had oat milk for my coffee which is a bonus! The service was really great, attentive and friendly. The vibe on the patio was a super fun brunch party!! The servers were extremely attentive and refilled our waters on a hot summer day. You can only order from their brunch menu on Sundays and I opted for their brunch bowl, the notorious PIG ($18). Awesome place! Went there for their hip hop brunch! The menu was well balanced with lots of veggie options. We asked for substitutions and they were absolutely willing to make them. BFF and I ate at Krafty Kitchen + Bar twice for lunch over my 2 week vacation in beautiful Kelowna. The service was equally great both visits, warmly greeted and immediately seated outdoors under an umbrella on the spacious patio, as requested. Menus arrived as did water. Some ice was requested and quickly provided in ample quantities. The ice tea was cold brewed and was seriously great. Fried chicken sandwich with an Asian flavour was perfectly executed, delicious. Fried chicken thigh, nam jim, pickled carrot, cucumber, mayo, chili. Truffle fries with aioli was decadent and worth every calorie. Crab club salad was faultless. Pulled crab, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, aioli and dressed with a nice vinaigrette. Grilled sourdough was requested and happily provided. (Sorry for forgetting to take pictures. ‍) Second visit started with a repeat ice tea. Same awesome taste but it was tinted red. We both were in a burger kind of mood so 2 royale burgers with those thrice fried OMG truffle fries. They freshly grind their beef so we had no issues ordering our burgers medium & although they came a bit medium rare, they were perfectly seasoned, very tasty and so juicy we needed multiple napkins to wipe our hands. A quick Yelp search for the win! I walked over along the trail and through the park in Kelowna to get here. The bar had some seats otherwise it sounds like reservations are usually needed. The establishment has a real vibe about it. The details of this place are a sure fire tell that they do everything proper. I sat and ordered their potent Rodriquez. This drink is made up of Gin, Wildflowers, Orange, and Cinnamon Hearts. A powerful drink in a small glass. I nursed this the entire meal. Well worth the cost and a must savor drink. I started with their House Bread & Butter - grilled sourdough paired with cultured butter with bee pollen. I've not had simple taste so good! My main course was the Wagyu steak with fingerling potatoes and creme fraiche. The portion was fabulous and cooked to perfection! Found this spot in Kelowna after walking the town for about 20 mins to find a good dinner spot. Krafty immediately caught our eye with the nice outdoor seating area and ambiance. It was the perfect place to enjoy the cool summer evening. Once we sat down the waitress did a great job explaining the menu and sharing what her favorites were at that time. With both of us being pretty hungry we ordered quickly and had no trouble making a choice as we each saw our dishes of choice on other tables as we walked in. The beet appetizer had great presentation and flavor. The nuts and yogurt added great flavor and the overall dish wasn't too filling before the meal. The seared ahi tuna was cooked to perfection and had great texture. The sauces also paired well with the dish and added some variety to one of my favorite meals. The oysters and fries was also great too. The oysters were flavorful and the broth from the oysters added great flavor to the fries. My only complaint would be the timeliness of service. The place was not too crowded but we waited a decent chunk of time to order while the table next to us was in and out in about half the time of our total meal. When it came time to pay we waiter about 20 mins after eating to get attention of our waitress, I honestly think she just forgot about us. Overall, I would go back but would hope the poor service was just a fluke! read more

This place was nearly 5 stars for us, save a couple slips in flavor. Hands down, the Street Corn Ricotta Gnocchi was one of the best dishes we had in Kelowna! We also loved many of the other vegetarian dishes: Vegan Grilled Caesar, Deviled Eggs, General Tso's Tofu, & Truffle Mac n Cheese. Unfortunately, we were let down by the daily Chef's Table dessert: the brownie sundae took too many risks with a brownie that was lacking in chocolate and sweetness, and a sorbet flavor that didn't make sense. We also were disappointed by one cocktail, "It Was All a Dream," which fell flat on flavors across the board. However, we loved the other cocktails we tasted, especially the Brown Butter Daiquiri! The service was tremendous throughout. The GM even reserved us a particularly removed table when I called ahead to express my caution about dining in during the third wave of COVID-19. read more

You had me at homemade ketchup! Any restaurant that goes to the trouble of making their own ketchup is really trying. And this was flavorful, robust, fruity tangy ketchup like you've never had. (The only other place I know is Okanagan Street Food with their amazing blackberry ketchup) The decor is interesting with exposed ancient beams, pressed metal chairs, beautiful wood trim, long-filament light bulbs, and great traditional cloth napkins, so lots of attention to detail. The smoked meat sandwich was remarkable for its fresh flavors, good cheese, and homemade pickles. The salad was fresh and flavorful and had just a hint of dressing so the flavor and freshness of the vegetables could come through. Another plus: the sparkling water was free. That's a nice touch. Definitely knocked it out of the park. Highly recommended. Came back again, August 2016, for Iberico ham appetizer (melts in your mouth, incredibly rich subtle flavor) and an $18 burger that was worth the price. Wasn't sure what to expect, but wow. I was there with a buddy of mine a couple of evenings ago and I ordered the Burger. I can confidently say it was the best burger I have ever had in my life, bar none. I literally downloaded Yelp specifically so I could tell the world about how unreal that burger was. I don't know what they're doing so right, but whatever it is keep it up. I'm really tired of restaurants that eliminate their vegetarian options, especially when they don't update their menu. It usually takes me at least a half hour before I can find a restaurant where I can eat (I'm vegetarian with dietary restrictions). And I'll do the work to find a restaurant to fit my needs. So when I find a place, show up for the reservation and then find out that they no longer offer veg meals, it's pretty frustrating. I either take another half hour to find a new place plus drive across town, or stay and order an appetizer. So I ordered the share plate of General Tsao's Tofu with vegetables so I could get some protein and healthy greens. But everything was battered and deep fried, even the broccoli. The menu didn't say everything would be coated in wheat. Also deep fried broccoli is not just wrong on principle, it's also mushy and gross. Our server was really friendly and attentive. He gave us some great recommendations for things in town. He was good people. My partner thought the meat and fish dishes were delicious. read more

Me and my tablemates arrived at this restaurant at about 6 pm. We were promptly seated in our reserved seats, despite that our reservation was at 5:30 (Parking is sparse). The restaurant itself is fairly quiet; you don't need to shout to be heard. There is also an outdoor space with canopies. We started with the devilled eggs, which were fantastic. They each came in their own small spoon. Next, I had the truffle mac and cheese. This mac and cheese is one of the best mac and cheeses I have ever had. Then I ordered the mussels. While they would be good for someone who likes a fishy taste, it was not particularly suited for my taste. However, I did eat many of them, but they were not my favourite. The fries and ketchup are awesome. Highly recommended. I ordered the vegan cherry terrine for dessert and even though I am not normally a cherry person, the cherry sorbet was delicious. So were the other components. I tried the key lime dessert and it was awesome also. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Even the washrooms had a flow to the ambiance with the rest of the restaurant. We had the General Tsao's Tofu Chicken to start - a spin on the traditional dish but with tofu instead of chicken. Their version is wonderful- perhaps even better than the original! We also had two deviled eggs... I'm not a fan of eggs, but my SO really enjoyed and thought they were delicious. My SO and I both had the Grilled Vegan Caesar Salad for our main. It is their take on a Caesars salad, with a wedge of romaine lettuce grilled quickly to give it a smoky flavour. Super delicious... The beef burger with fries - 5/5 -the contrast between the pickles and the cheese was well done -flavorful but not too salty -a hefty sized beef patty like an inch+ thick -done medium rare like I asked -the fries had skin on and were crispy just the way I wanted (not shoe string) Overall 4/5. Krafty offers a wide selection of cleverly named menu items, from "Notorious P.I.G." to "New Pork State of Mind". (As a pun enthusiast, I am all on board!) While the prices are on the mid to high level for brunch, the food delivers on flavour and the service in our case was fantastic. Starting with the food, I ordered the "Pop Lox n Drop It" ($16.50) with the half potato and half spinach option. The other ingredients were smoked salmon, pickled red onion, crispy capers, hollandaise, and two poached eggs. I love indulging in smoked salmon and poached eggs, so it was difficult for this dish to go wrong for me. As expected, the smoked salmon was delicious. The poached eggs, while more on the medium side, still had enough runny yolk to lather my spinach with. It was unfortunately the crispy smashed potatoes that were lacking for me--not in terms of quality, but in terms of quantity. Since my friend and I both ordered the same dish, the kitchen made ours at the same time but did not properly divvy up the potatoes. When my friend pointed out how she had so many potatoes left, my heart broke a little bit as I stared at my empty bowl. As for the service, I should mention first that we were a group of 13 that (1) made the last call; and (2) had a birthday cake. The kitchen quickly whipped up our dishes for us and kept our birthday cake in the freezer. One waitress (I believe her name is Rachel?) was particularly exceptional. When the rest of our group showed up, the kitchen made a face because they didn't realize that all our dishes had been ordered already. Rachel however did not flinch and explained to them the situation when we pointed it out. When two of my friends noticed that they were missing pork belly in their dishes, she went to the kitchen to request for side dishes of pork belly. Although the restaurant was closed by the time we got to the birthday cake, Rachel never tried to rush us, and was more than happy to provide additional plates and cutlery. Finally, when it came time to pay, she took the time to print out individual bills for us despite our insistence that we could separate it ourselves later (so as to save her the trouble). I am gluten intolerant and the waitress said they had gluten free bread. The dish had exotic mushrooms, hollandaise sauce and the best potatoes I have ever had.
