Finally got to stop in after hearing about the food and original dishes! It looks to be a busy spot…read moreand good thing they have outdoor seating as the actual restaurant itself is very tight. We got a table by the front door for 2 and it's interesting to have staff and customers squeeze by and one can see the bottleneck where we sat. Decor is cool with exposed brick, light shades made from wooden crates, nice heavy wood and metal tables and chairs. So the menu - great to see so much of it with local and BC sourced ingredients - the dishes all looked good so it was hard to narrow down what to order. The plates going past us all looked good - the egg fare, sweet stuff and the meats. They do have a couple of dishes featured from a food network show and I ordered one of them. Scrambled eggs on peanut butter toast? Why not and the Chicks on a Raft was very tasty with creamy eggs, crunchy toast , salty lardons tempered with the peanut butter. What I enjoyed was the green salad with their vinagrette dressing. A decent serving of green stuff and the dressing was such a great contrast to the main dish! Usually a side green turns out to be a teeny serving of microgreens or a couple slices of cucumber. My hubby had the Big Dog - it was a lot of protein! Nice selection of Elk pepperoni, brisket and 2 sunny side up eggs. I really dug the jam that came with his toast - gourmet jam and not kraft squares - loved the strawberry apricot and next time will try the other one ( basil blueberry) Left the restaurant very full and definitely coming back for more! Service was decent enough but a little stingy on coffee refills - haha hubby got 3/4c and they refilled my iced coffee with cold coffee and no ice. I got my coffee in a wine carafe so my glass wasn't full either.

We are admittedly, but lowly groupies .. just following and attending the event at all three of their showings in the BC area this year (Nanaimo, Victoria (which I still have to post pictures of ...) and now Kelowna (which I'll also have to post pictures of lol) The dishes we had at Naked Cafe were spectacular, and I don't use that word lightly, with an incredible amount of flavor and depth in in every bite! They also have an incredible variety of items, brunch, dinner, lattes, adult beverages, pizza, and so much more! Not crazy about this place. It's a shame coz we were really looking forward to it…read more Servers weren't friendly. No smile. No greetings. No attention towards us. We had to call for service. I regretted tipping. Lesson learned - never tip before completing a meal and having the full experience. We waited about 20 mins for coffee. When we followed up, she said "it's coming"; and went about standing there doing nothing. This is insane. Food wasn't great but at least the bread and veggies were fresh. Coffee sucked. Sadly, we threw it away. It felt like the leftover at the end of a brewing pot when we paid for and expected a luscious latte. Not going back. Not a nice vibe. Sad.
