I don't know if I should start it how good the food was, how great the service was, or the fact that the staff cleaning the tables and delivering our food were doing so in business casual at eight in the morning. A friend from the areas that we had to go here for breakfast and who are we to say no local. Little did I know that we were going to the cutest, most popular restaurant for breakfast, which happens also have tons of gluten-free options. Our weight staff was incredibly considerate of our allergies, answered questions, amended meals, and ensure that allergy was noted for the two of us that needed all our food and drinks to be different. I know that sounds like a lot, but imagine that your food comes out looking like these photos and tasting even better. If I wasn't so ashamed of how my Friend and I looked staring at these waffles, I'd post the photo but when I tell you that they were delicious gluten-free waffles, the best I ever have had, 10 out of 10 stars. Food was outstanding. The gnocchi carbonara was the perfect mix of creamy and salty with nice little bites of microgreens on top. The Gold Standard's waffle was fluffy but with the perfect amount of crunch, and the bacon was a great addition. I'm also very grateful for the ability to check in on the wait list on Yelp so we can get on the waitlist sooner and arrive when our table is ready. I love opting for their bowls where you Can do half potatoes and half arugula or spinach. I always go for the duck bowl, but decided to opt for the tuna. It didn't quite hit the spot like the duck does and I guess the conclusion is not to go for raw fish for breakfast, but it was still good and something different. Their menu is so extensive that you probably have to go to dozen times in order to try most of their menu. The nice thing is wherever you go in Canada, You can suggest to your friends to go to a OEB and you're guaranteed a great meal. Their locations are always very bright. We were so happy to see OEB in Kelowna. We are from Vancouver and have been wanting to try it but the line up is always so long. We were staying down the road so we woke up, put our names on the waitlist and walked over when it was almost our time I had the pork belly poutine and it was so good! Large chunks of savoury fatty pork smothered in hollandaise with wedges, cheese curds, 2 soft poached eggs on a small bed of greens. It was hearty, and rich and hit the spot! I was worried it might be too salty but it was well balanced with the greens. My friends were very happy with their selections too. We shared a french toast to complete the meal. Thinking about reserving a table for two at OEB? Think again! We were travelling up to Kelowna for our anniversary and decided to try out the famous OEB Breakfast. We called ahead to reserve a table but we were rudely informed that they "only reserve tables for parties of 6+" and that we would need to join the waitlist on Yelp. I tried to join the waitlist but because we weren't within 62km of the restaurant I wasn't able to join. We called the restaurant back to explain this. After several minutes of back and forth--with the person on the phone not willing to help us out by manually putting us on the waitlist--we finally got it sorted out and we were added to the waitlist. Mind you, it was two hours long. Although the customer service over the phone was not the greatest, the customer service inside the restaurant was okay. We had an amazing waiter who was extremely knowledgeable about the items on the menu and tended to us when needed but wasn't overbearing. The food was great--my partner had the "Threesome!" and I had the "The One That Got Away." We also ordered the mimosa flight. However, as much as the food was delicious it was definitely WAY overpriced for what you got, especially the flight of mimosas (if anything that was the most disappointing part of this whole experience). If you are expecting the type of flight that you would get at a brewery with where the beer is filled to the brim, you will be sorely mistaken--these mimosa flights consist of, quite literally, a shot of juice and a splash of Prosecco. All in all, an okay breakfast isn't worth a $70 bill and a two hour wait. read more

OEB Breakfast is a bright and airy restaurant where we were greeted with a smile and led to a place near the window. After asking the waiter what he recommended, we were steered to the breakfast bowls. I ordered the lotta laks and my partner, the soul in a bowl. Both were delicious! We came on a trip to Kelowna and sadly the star rating was only because of the food. I wasn't super upset but my friend received horrible service. Server was loudly discussing opening his own business at a table nearby and ignored him completely. Rolled his eyes when my friend ordered drinks, argued with him when he asked for specific food... As a server myself, it was pretty shocking. He ended up asking for a different young woman who was lovely, and tipped her in cash instead of our assigned server. The menu items look soo good. However, have yet to make it inside. The first time we tried, the hostess said the wait would be 45 minutes. We were hungry so went elsewhere!. The second time, we made a reservation for 9:00. We arrived 15 minutes early and were told we would have to wait until our reservation time. We understood that. We told the hostess that because of bad backs we were unable to sit at one of the high tables. She said, sorry, you will now have to be put on a waitlist because a table for 2 won't be open at nine. Very tasty, will definitely come back but next time I would share one of their breakfast poutines as they are very filling and rich. I had the "Soul in a Bowl" and also the mimosa flight. The only issue was our server was very insistent on the verge of forceful for us to take any leftovers with us. We were not going home right away and this was not a dish I wanted to try reheating. We ended up giving in and just taking it to get them off our backs. We gave it to a homeless person so I guess that was an upside but didn't appreciate the forcefulness. All I got for that was two eggs (which were not even warm) 2 medium size sausages and 1 pancake. That's it, for $20 ! If you want 1 small slice of toast add another $2. I was also blown away by the fact that a cup of regular filter coffee is $4. The pancake looked nice but it wasn't cooked properly - so it had a viscous texture in some parts. Wasn't great at all. We came for Sunday breakfast and were very impressed. Get there early (we arrived around 8am) because by the time we left there was a wait. The food was delicious and hearty. My daughters had the Benny's . One was the classic style and the other had crab Benny. Both delicious. I ordered the duck confit that came with poached eggs and hollandaise nestled on a bed of duck fat roasted potatoes mixed with greens. I'm glad the server suggested mixing arugula with the potatoes otherwise I think my breakfast would have been too starchy. Portion sizes are plentiful and we all left full. Service was 10/10. So, the third time I've been to this place, the third time I've been screwed over by their ridiculous "online wait list". When I go to the restaurant because I receive a text message that I'm next on the list, I arrive to be told by the hostess I'm actually fifth on the list. She blames their software for the glitch, but can't really explain anything. I take a seat outside, and proceed to watch a four-top sit empty for 20 minutes.
