Update Review for Dining Experience on 28 May 2025 : 1 star for the Hostess!! First off excellent service from our lovely server Sawyer, her cheerful & professional service saved the day ... we made an online reservation but we did not know we have the option of making waterfront table ( as it was not clearly stated on the website ) upon our entrance I let the hostess know that we brought our visitor from Paris, France to experience the amazing lakeside dining and if she would kindly fit us to one of the tables right next to the water ... after a few minutes she gave us a table right outside of the dining room and told us that was the best they can do ... I totally understand she may have those tables reserved but during the whole dining experience I observed that there are at least 3 or 4 empty tables along the lake front and was not occupied ... I feel my request was being ignored and not valued ... luckily the food also saved the day along with warm Kelowna weather for our Parisian visitor! Came here as a group of 6 to celebrate my birthday. We came for the weekend brunch buffet. Unfortunately other than the view it was mediocre at best. Our server had an amazing personality and was a lovely gentleman that used to work in Vancouver. The person that seated us did so on a patio table at the end where we had to walk around umbrella stands on the very edge stone walkway. We asked if it was possible to move the umbrella stand as it was dangerous and inconvenient, not to mention extremely difficult to maneuver around in heels while holding a plate, and were told no. Two kids and women in heels while carrying buffet plates made this quite dangerous. I'm surprised they would even put a table there as it is definitely a tripping and falling hazard and a legal liability. The food was fine. My daughter loved the big Nutella dispenser. read more

We went there for their thanksgiving dinner and it was not a good experience. We waited over an hour for our food, had to ask for the buns,(which were cold), and the waitress forgot our bottle of wine that we ordered. The food was ok but definitely not worth the $60 per plate they were charging. It was our first time there but we won't be back. read more

Time of visit (August) Finally, I had time to post this excellent spot in Kelowna; this is located in Hotel Eldorado, known for its fantastic lakeside view. We booked ahead of time before going, so we could get a seat, but due to the windy weather, the patio was not a good choice, so we were seated inside, which we could still enjoy the view as it's glass-covered. Kelowna is known for its wines, but we're driving back to Vancouver that day, so it's good that they have non-alcoholic drinks, which were perfect for us to enjoy our dinner. Pros: Foods we're delicious and beautifully plated, especially the desserts. They were well organized from booking, seating to the waiter being attentive and suggesting and explaining some of their menus. The atmosphere is gorgeous with the lake and mountain view. Cons: It was a long wait for the food to be served which I almost finished my drink when it was done. Of course, it's on the pricy side, knowing from its location alone. Foods we had were; Carbonara ($24)- so creamy with lots of cheese, huge serving good for two Mussels ($26) - highly recommended perfect soup to share Steak Frites ($28) - tender and juicy steak so good Lemon rasp cheesecake ($12) Chocolate Praline ($13) both desserts were pretty plated and have original taste Blue mojito ($9) Duke Gimlet ($10) - loved the flavour So yea, we had a nice dinner, took home the carbonara and fries as we were full. So to those visiting Kelowna, do check on them. I suggest going there in nice weather to enjoy the view; you can take lovely photos on the lakeside and even some outside the hotel. I highly recommend this place if you plan to drink, as they have an impeccable drink menu. read more

Ridiculously overpriced even in this economy. Service was friendly but infrequent. The food was mediocre at best. Ambience was cozy but my goodness it's dark in the lounge. We don't have a lot of choices in the Mission but there must be a better option. read more

Beautiful location. Reserved a table a few days in advance. Requested outdoor unfortunately they had not reserved us a table. All that was available was a low sofa, not suitable for dining. We left and dined elsewhere. We drove in from Vernon. Very disappointing. Reservations were for Saturday April 29th at 3pm. Even though there were empty tables we were told "those are reserved". I guess our reservations didn't count. read more

We went for brunch a couple of months ago and it was lovely. My partner absolutely loved the food! I on the other hand, being unable to eat eggs or dairy, had a more difficult time. If would be an absolute no go for someone who is vegan. Not a single dessert to be had that didn't have eggs or dairy. It's not hard to have vegan desserts and is a head scratcher for me as to why many restaurants still don't jump on this band wagaon. The same with non-dairy "cream" for coffee/tea. Anyhow, 4 stars as there was lots of selection, and the food was beyond tasty, but would have given it 5 stars if there were a little more selection for me and the many people with food restrictions like myself. read more

I had one of the best steak frites ever. The service spectacular as is the ambiance. My wife had the crispy chicken sandwich and I had a taste of it and was very good too. We were greeted graciously and welcoming. Being a slow season of course but one of our local favourites. Beautiful service, food, setting and people. read more

This lakeside restaurant is a mandatory stop for us every time we visit Kelowna. We had such a wonderful time last year here that the four of us had decided to come back here for a special dinner again this year. As soon as you walk through the front door, we were immediately transported to a different world: a nice fireplace, hardwood floor, glass paned doors through which framed the beautiful the lake view outside. Although we were too early for our reservation, the hostess was able to get a table for us right away. The dining room is cozy (about 10-15 tables) and all tables in the restaurant have a great view of the lake. A very nice touch is the large rowing boat that hang upside down on the ceiling. (check out the shoes attached to the inside of the boat!) We each started off with a glass of wine and shared Charcuterie & Cheese, featuring Okanagan produce. While my friends were contemplating about the Braised Lamb Shank and Chicken Supreme for entrees, I opted to order two appetizers instead: Classic Wedge Caesar Salad and Steamed Mussels. (recommended by other Yelpers) The mussels were cooked perfectly in a white wine broth, which I soaked up in a warm sourdough beard. We had dinner here on Dec 24th and with a shorter menu for the Holiday Season. The dining room over looks the dock and lake and is a charming setting and the hotel had that special Xmas setting. We started with a couple dirty martinis and had Assitance fro our waiter to settle on one of our favourite wines in the area from "Little Engine: Union 2016" which is a great Meritage wine. We started with the Caesar salad which was crisps and fresh topped with grill pancetta. Spouse had the turkey dinner and I had the grilled lamb of which both were prepared well and excellent. Great place will need to come back in a summer setting. read more

Went to this restaurant with my best friend for a nice dinner out & it was good but there were a few catches that took away from the experience. Let me start with the positives by saying that the atmosphere was great, beautiful view of the lake & perfect for a nice night out. The service was very good, but in my opinion a little too pushy with up selling. It almost felt like you were being judged if you declined a second 12$ drink when offered, or when you did not choose to go with the 50$ dinner special, or even when you passed on dessert. As a server I understand that up selling is part of your job, I just think it's important to read the signs from customers and ensure that all people feel comfortable with their dinning experience regardless of what they choose to order. I felt extremely pressured by the server to order an appetizer (which was delicious, but expensive) especially because when I was still unsure & he responded with 'I'll put it through for you don't worry you'll love it" & walked away. Regardless, our mains come out quickly which was nice (I ordered the white wine pesto pasta, my friend got the sirloin) & her steak looked amazing!!! The pasta was alright but on the smaller side & honestly nothing special. We then noticed people on the lower patio (beachfront) being served significantly cheaper alternatives like burgers & sandwiches (which all also looked great) HOWEVER, this menu was not available to us because we were seated in a different section. Nobody informed us of this when we came in, or even gave us the option to sit in a different place, or even MENTIONED that they have two different menus. We were obviously given the fine dining menu & were only told about the other menu when we asked about it at the end. This was extremely frustrating for me as they were clearly just trying to upsell us as much as they could instead of just creating a good dining experience and providing all the choices and information to us. Overall, this restaurant had good food, good service, and a good atmosphere, I just felt like they were trying to get every cent they could & it really took away from my dining experience. Hopefully they take this feedback and properly inform all customers of the different dining options because it really is a great little spot & has potential to be a fantastic restaurant. read more

This place has it all, right on the lake, beautiful ambience, excellent, well informed staff. If you get Vince as your waiter you are in for a treat, he is hilarious! I had the beef tenderloin, it was done perfectly on a nice bed of spring vegetables, will definitely be back many times. read more

As a "fancy night out" we chose the Lakeside Dining Room. The menu looked pretty good and prices were ok for an upscale experience. When we arrived the host at the front addressed me by name, which was very nice. The server was warm and inviting. The location is really nice as it looks out over the lake and the El Dorado Marina. Then the food...well, it was underwhelming. Wifey ordered the pasta and said it was pretty good. I ordered the trout and received a steak. I'm an Alberta boy born and raised. I know my steak. I don't come to a lakeside restaurant in BC for a steak, I would like the local cuisine. The steak was not really that amazing, cooked fine and came with some nice veggies, but definitely not the best I've had. They did make it right and only charged me for the trout, I would have taken it off the bill completely, but that's me. In summary, it's not the worst place to go, but for the price and locatrion, it was a little underwhelming - this place has everything going for it - it could be amazing. Decided to come check out breakfast and enjoy the beautiful lake view. The salmon Benedict looked good and boy was it ever! The server was great! Beautiful view of the lake, yummy mochas and nice atmosphere. Quaint dining on the lake with prompt service, friendly service, fresh food and great all around. No complaints from this Yelp elitist! Apparently there were 3 wedding receptions there that day, and 1 of them was still going on. Not a problem as there was still tables available on the gorgeous boardwalk/patio overlooking the water and hills. It got quite chilly that night and the patio is not equipped with any heaters. They did give me a blanket which helped a lot! Onto the food. We started with the shrimp cocktail and steamed mussels. The appetizers came out quickly (much to the appreciation of our hungry stomachs). The jumbo shrimps were fresh and nicely garnished with pea shoots and cocktail sauce. The Thai-style broth for the mussels was perfectly flavoured with coconut milk, lemon grass and white wine - not too salty either. Our entrees took a long time to come out and we were starting to get really hungry and more cold as the night went on. We waited about 15-20 minutes until our server brought over some complimentary warm kettle chips with lime and Siracha dipping sauce. She apologized for the long wait and told us that the kitchen was a bit backed up for the night. She brought us hot water and lemon to help warm us up. All definitely appreciated! For our entrees, we had the steak frites and the seafood linguine. The seafood linguine pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and there were plenty of shrimps, scallops, and mussels within. The dish could have used more of that delicious sauce. The steak and frites were disappointing. There was still a strip of gristle and fat along the side of the steak that was not stripped or rendered down. The steak was also under-seasoned and lacked quality in the cut. Plenty of fries on the plate and some stale crispy onions. This dish was unfortunately a total miss. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive and did her best to keep our hunger at bay during the long wait for our entrees and warm on a cool night. read more
