Time of visit (August) Finally, I had time to post this excellent spot in Kelowna; this is located in Hotel Eldorado, known for its fantastic lakeside view. We booked ahead of time before going, so we could get a seat, but due to the windy weather, the patio was not a good choice, so we were seated inside, which we could still enjoy the view as it's glass-covered. Kelowna is known for its wines, but we're driving back to Vancouver that day, so it's good that they have non-alcoholic drinks, which were perfect for us to enjoy our dinner. Pros: Foods we're delicious and beautifully plated, especially the desserts. They were well organized from booking, seating to the waiter being attentive and suggesting and explaining some of their menus. The atmosphere is gorgeous with the lake and mountain view. Cons: It was a long wait for the food to be served which I almost finished my drink when it was done. Of course, it's on the pricy side, knowing from its location alone. Foods we had were; Carbonara ($24)- so creamy with lots of cheese, huge serving good for two Mussels ($26) - highly recommended perfect soup to share Steak Frites ($28) - tender and juicy steak so good Lemon rasp cheesecake ($12) Chocolate Praline ($13) both desserts were pretty plated and have original taste Blue mojito ($9) Duke Gimlet ($10) - loved the flavour So yea, we had a nice dinner, took home the carbonara and fries as we were full. So to those visiting Kelowna, do check on them. I suggest going there in nice weather to enjoy the view; you can take lovely photos on the lakeside and even some outside the hotel. I highly recommend this place if you plan to drink, as they have an impeccable drink menu.

Amazing food, really nice servers. A little bit pricey but worth it! Lovely atmosphere to dine in.

Nothing special. Only excellent part was the spectacular views during dinner. food was average but overpriced. Service was great and efficient tho. Had the steak and pizza and tasted just ok. Sorry for the short review but the experience didnt leave a lasting impression. Cheers! Happy Eating!

View from our table out to okanagan lake.

I had one of the best steak frites ever. The service spectacular as is the ambiance. My wife had the crispy chicken sandwich and I had a taste of it and was very good too. We were greeted graciously and welcoming. Being a slow season of course but one of our local favourites. Beautiful service, food, setting and people.

This lakeside restaurant is a mandatory stop for us every time we visit Kelowna. We had such a wonderful time last year here that the four of us had decided to come back here for a special dinner again this year. As soon as you walk through the front door, we were immediately transported to a different world: a nice fireplace, hardwood floor, glass paned doors through which framed the beautiful the lake view outside. Although we were too early for our reservation, the hostess was able to get a table for us right away. The dining room is cozy (about 10-15 tables) and all tables in the restaurant have a great view of the lake. A very nice touch is the large rowing boat that hang upside down on the ceiling. (check out the shoes attached to the inside of the boat!) We each started off with a glass of wine and shared Charcuterie & Cheese, featuring Okanagan produce. While my friends were contemplating about the Braised Lamb Shank and Chicken Supreme for entrees, I opted to order two appetizers instead: Classic Wedge Caesar Salad and Steamed Mussels. (recommended by other Yelpers) The mussels were cooked perfectly in a white wine broth, which I soaked up in a warm sourdough beard. I think this restaurant is going to be (hopefully) an annual tradition for my friends and I!

You would be incorrect for so many reasons, because in reality, there is one of the best reasons to stop here, this is it... the Hedley Country Market. Why we stopped, we needed a potty for our kiddo. Why we stayed, we discovered a place that was making fresh made Sausage rolls, and Pies... wait, what? Yes, made in house, with someone who actually cares about the way food should be made, without all the additives, is this small town market. First off, the place smells like a bakery, but it's not that, it's the hub for this old mining town.. which stopped mining like a century ago, but it's not empty, in fact there are people here who are as nice as one can be, this market serves up kindness and tasty food. Yes, they have all the normal pantry items, crisps/chips, and liquor, but the Gem of it is the kitchen. Honestly, I want to write a bunch more, and they would deserve every positive word written about them... but here's all you need to know, don't just drive past this town, or this shop. It's a great place to load up on something made in-house, that will have to writing home, in fact, this Yelp review proves that point. Highly Recommend.. and did I mention the Sausage Rolls?

This place is kinda like subway, with some things better than subway and some things worse. I'd say there is less selection than subway, but if you're not into all the veggie options, this is a cool place to check out. Especially if you like sandwiches. So you start off by selecting the protein/type of sandwich you want. I got the green goddess one because it was the special of the day and less than $5 USD. I love a good veggie sandwich and this one wasn't bad. It came with avocado and cream cheese and your choice of vegetables like lettuce, tomato, cucumber, banana peppers, sprouts, onions and pickles. They have some sauces too. All on top either white, wheat or rye. I kinda wish they'd let you add other cheeses to this sandwich because in hindsight idk if it was really a deal compared to the other specials of the day. And while the cream cheese is nice for its soft and creamy texture, I was thinking some sharp cheddar really would have added something great to my sandwich. But alas, I'm a cheapskate and won't pay extra for cheese. My sandwich was nicely pressed and packaged in a paper bag. I like that they offer interesting soups, salads and smoothies. I was pretty tempted to get a smoothie too, but I ended up getting a drink elsewhere. The girls behind the counter did well. They were nice and efficient. They were patient and spoke patiently with all of us.

As always my reviews are in real time…read more My gf and i came here to get icecream after eating at a crappy diner. Im not gonna say what it is - but it was very WOODEN. So when we got here we were amazed. Its a patio - so its outside. Dress appropriatly. I dont see a kitchen but i am suprised on the variety of the menu. Like this menu has so much stuff its aweosme. The decor is very lovely. The menus look like little scrap book. Love the seating aragments. A wide varaity based on u and your party. So even though we already ate, we are gonna eat again just cause we cant miss this opportunity. My girlfriend ordered a blended iced cap and it was so tight. Ugh im in love. This is like a place i could come to everyday. Now i need to take a moment to say screw the wooden nickel cafe. I gave it 2 stars and want to demote it to 1. Cause this place is that good. Now back to the review. My only thing with this place is i think they only have 2 people working so i find the service is slow. But imma let it slide cause its worth the weight nah mean. This place is so good its actually making me want to work things out with my girlfriend. Just got our food. We ordered wraps. Wanted to eat light. And the wrap tastes like the feeling we wanted. Light, cloud like, really just feeling free. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. Seriosuly u can taste the freshness. I should know i just ate food at the wooden nickel cafe which i assume was just bought at the iga across the street. Like iga bruh, isnt that shit suppose to be sobeys now. All in all hit this place up. Its awesome. U wont forget it. And if i can qoute the man who just paid his bill before me "it was wonderful". -fatniss everdean
