I just pulled into town... Asked the gentleman in the lobby of the hotel where is a great place to eat... And he said go to Gulfstream. I just walked across the parking lot... It was an excellent meal. I ordered the grass fed fillet. The scallop potatoes were probably my favorite. The steak was well prepared. And even presented well. It's inside of the four points hotel... There's a bar if you are into drinking. Dark woods and very cozy. I bet this place is hopping during the winter. Good service. read more

I have to say that the Christmas Dinner we ordered was to say the least Fantastic! I had a small concern as I needed to feed 15 people and the dinner stated it would feed 8-10, I had a conversation with Gulfstream manager Celine and told her my problem. Well it turned out to be no problem at all "I'll talk to chef and create a menu for you" next thing I know I picked up a complete dinner on Christmas day at the time arranged (hot no less) and it was fantastic! I was in for a two day training session in Kelowna, and after subsisting on Tim Horton's this restaurant was amazing. Ramen bowl fantastic, wagyu meatball spaghetti great, wagyu steak that I was worried I over spent on. The absolute best steak I ever had with excellent sides. after eating small pieces it disappeared. At first I thought it was rare nope it's just how it is and it's just that good it actually melts in your mouth. 10/10 amazing especially when your sleep deprived and had 4 Tim Horton's coffee for two days straight. read more

Without many choices at 9 PM on a Sunday evening we popped in to the hotel's attached restaurant for some dinner after driving up from the Coast. In hindsight we probably should have ventured out earlier for food. The service was very good, the staff was great, outgoing, engaged and interested in our experience. The food however, let them all down, on the appetizer portion for sure. Our Heirloom salad, after the disappointment of the appys was pretty darn good. They did however cut some of the veggies a bit long, they went into the abyss putting up a fight. The space itself is pretty nice, the service is good when it's not very full, but the appetizers are not good. Might have to give it another try while we are here. First visit here tonight. I was excited because I saw quite a few vegetarian items on the menu and I figured it wouldn't be too hard to make them vegan. Called same day at 5:30 to make a reservation for 6:45. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very nice and said it would be no problem to fit us in. When we were leaving at 6:30, we wanted to make a quick stop somewhere so I called and asked if our reservation could be pushed to 7 and the lady was very nice and said it was no problem at all. We arrived at 7, promptly greeted and were allowed to choose our table. I will say that the interior is very nicely done. And looks very clean. This could be a nice place to go for a special dinner and can dress up a bit without feeling too overdressed. I did however see people in very casual clothing so even if u want to come anytime - that's fine too. We ordered: Soup of the day - butternut squash coconut milk, Grilled grain stuffed tomato w/o feta, Loaded sirloin burger w/ fries. The butternut squash/coconut milk soup: Was very yummy!! It had some chopped beets sprinkled on top. The overall flavour was very good and was nicely seasoned. I would have it again if it were the soup of the day the next time we visit. The grilled grain stuffed tomato: I ordered it without feta to make it vegan. It was surprisingly very yummy. Quinoa can be really hit or miss for me when made by someone else but at Gulfstream - they did a Very good job. The quinoa was nicely seasoned and had lots of extra flavour added to it. I didn't realize the salad was such a decent size and I was so happy that the salad had almonds, cucumber and lots of tomatoes. It was a simple dish but I really appreciated that it was flavourful and had minimal dressing and wasn't overly salty or drenched in oil. It was the perfect size meal and I really enjoyed it. I would order it again. Loaded sirloin burger: my fiancé had this and he said it was pretty good, maybe not the best burger he's had but it was still good. The fries were nice and crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. I read some other reviews saying that they didn't have that great of an experience with the service but I thought the service was great. From the lady I spoke to on the phone, to the hostess, to the lady that poured our water and then our server. Our server was very friendly and was very nice, she took our order in a timely manner and made sure to quality check shortly after we got our food. I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant located in the Sheraton across the parking lot from my hotel. Although there are a couple of other dining options nearby, this one was so good I went there three times. The standard is high and diversity of global dishes on the menu impressive. Paired with a glass of BC wine or beer and it makes for a great casual-elegant meal. Just about everything I ordered was good, in particular the Moroccan lamb burger, Fried chicken sandwich, and duck spring rolls. If you're staying in the area or passing through, do not miss this place. read more

The 8 hour braised lamb was absolutely fantastic. I made "mmmmmm" sounds after every bite to express how joyous this experience was. My partner got the beef goulash and he also enjoyed his meal. I'm not an order dessert type of person but my partner encouraged me to get the crème brûlée. It was the best brûlée that has ever existed on this planet. We will be back soon. read more

Falls very short of the Gulfstream we have in Cali. This restaurant is known for its grilled artichoke but this specific location doesn't serve it. The main reason I stayed at 4 points was because I was excited they had this restaurant and assumed the menu had their most famous dish - grilled artichoke. read more

Great food!!! Service was absent. Wait staff were pleasant just not attentive and our wait time was long. My real complaint about the night was the supervisor on duty. We waited so long to get checked in with at the end, she took no note and was laughing and chatting with other staff. I looked over her way many times but no interest in checking in. As we waited longer Again for out takeaway dessert we finally stood up. She again just ignored us. I made eye contact but she kept on walking. As I wrote in my critique of the Kelowna Airport White Spot I left there to find another, more hospitable, eating joint. I crossed the highway to search and quickly landed at the "Four Points by Sheraton" near the Kelowna airport, in the GulfStream Grill (or Restaurant, depending on your hankering for nomenclature). The establishment is a nice place, kinda 'Keg'ish except more open and inviting if that's to your taste. It had lots of light, was upscale, and had some interesting art. I came at Noon so a table or booth by the window was not to be had. A table a bit more solitary was chosen. The server came by relatively promptly, which was already an improvement. I perused the 1 page menu and settled on the Blackened Chicken Salad. Sounded good, maybe even a bit healthy, and my tastebuds called for something similar. I paired it up with a Tree Brewing Winter Ale, one of the seasonal selections. I sipped my beer, put some thoughts down on paper, and enjoyed the moment. Throughout it all the server was appropriately attentive. Once my food arrived I dug in. While the presentation of the Blackened Chicken Salad was very good I'd have to say the dish lacked any real flavour. If bites of salad were taken with pieces of blackened chicken then the chicken supported the flavour of the salad but without that support the salad just lacked any zip or notability. Through it all the beer tasted great. Another critique was that there was no open wifi. It's very possible the grill/hotel requires a key or password, which I made no attempt to get. Frequently the wifi is open however and in this case I just tethered to my phone. This was strictly 'my bad' though, I should've at least asked. No marks deducted for this. Coles Notes of my visit to the GulfStream Restaurant are: 4 for service, 3.5 for food (4.5 for drinks), 4 for decor, 3.5 for price. Overall a 4.0. read more

I ordered the Christmas dinner special this year(2020). The meal was amazing. I normally prepare Christmas diner myself. It included a whole turkey! My family had no idea this was not mine. Wanted to treat my Valentine to a special meal at a place we hadn't tried yet. We were really impressed! This little restaurant is tucked beside the lobby of the Four Points. Don't be fooled by the location! My wife had the Slow Roasted Ling Cod and I had the Braised Beef Rib Shank. Both were exquisitely presented and absolutely delicious. I was actually shocked to find that the starter salad included with my Rib Shank was the size of a typical entree salad elsewhere. There were so many layers of complex flavors in both entrees that you will have to try them yourself to fully appreciate the chef's skill. We topped the meal with a shared piece of house-made carrot cake - so good! Server Lindsey treated us with discrete attention from start to finish. We'll definitely be back to this place, which will be our new go-to for special meals in Kelowna. Well done!! read more

We waited to be seated and then waited another 10min at the table and weren't even acknowledged. So we decided to leave!

(Please keep in mind that we all spent the entire day in our cars traveling from Calgary to Kelowna that day) We called the restaurant to ask if a table of 8 could be accommodated and we were told it would not be a problem. We arrived at the restaurant (no more than 20 minutes after calling) and waited almost 10 full minutes before even being acknowledged. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait for a table of 8. We looked around the restaurant and we saw lots of available seating, so we assumed it was a staffing shortage for the wait. No problem, we've worked in the industry before, we understand this. So we waited our 20 minutes and then we were told we could not be accommodated. Do you know how hard this is to tell 4 extremely hungry children that we have to go somewhere else to find food? We started walking back to our cars to go somewhere else. The bartender, who was extremely polite and accommodating, asked us not to leave and he would make sure we could be seated. So we came back in and then he informed us that the kitchen was 30 minutes behind and this is why we could not be accommodated. He was so apologetic and regretful of the inconveniences of this event. Nonetheless, we will never return to this restaurant as you can understand our frustrations. read more

You know that feeling when you walk into a high-end store and all you feel is judgement? This is what it's like when dining here at Gulfstream. I've stayed at this hotel a number of times when traveling for work and normally end of eating at the restaurant. Majority of the times, I've experienced the same less than par service. The waiters/waitresses definitely know how stand around and chat with their colleagues while glasses of water at tables are empty. To be clear, I still tipped the waitress a fair amount as she did make her way around once. The only reason why I'm giving this place anything more than 1 star is the fact that the food is great and reasonably priced. read more

We stayed at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel in June while attending our son's graduation from UBC. The hotel was perfect, front office staff very nice/happy to help. We went into the Gulfstream bar lounge(located in the hotel) twice and were thrilled with both the food and the attentive service form our bartender Liv. She was a world of information and always directed us to fun places to visit while in Kelowna. Her beer, wine, and food suggestions at Gulfstream were spot on, and everything she recommended was delicious. I've eaten here several times and it's very good. They have a good breakfast and a good variety for lunch and dinner. One of the nights I did the chefs special of chicken with prosciutto and artichokes. It came potatoes lightly crispy is duck fat and some vegetables in a tomato based sauce. It was amazing! I'm learning to do the bartender and chef specials... You should too... They have some good talent and haven't let me down yet! Prices are reasonable and they have an all day drink special everyday. I love this Restaurant! I live close by and have had Lunch and Dinner in a booth for 2, Co-worker lunch hour, Birthday dinner and as a group... every time the service was good and the Food delicious. BRITISH COLUMBIA * Jul My husband and I went for dinner for our 34 wedding anniversary PLUS we were Guest of hotel that was reserved 3 weeks early. We had dinner reservations for 7 , seated right away BUT waited 45min finally asked hostess for our waitress to take our order , the restaurant was not full . We ordered off the valentines shared menu, which when it arrived was a small appie salad,greens wrapped in cucumber slices, entree was beef tenderloin and cod. When it arrived it 1 hour later and was -6 pieces of thin steak ,( thought it would be A STEAK ,1 tblsp MASHED potato, spring of pea shoots, 2 tbsp HARD rice , two bites of cod,1 asparagus sliced thin.dessert was a floury white mousse with peaches.chocolate bark strawberry and tomatilla IT was flavoured like pumpkin spice terrible texture and not a good combo for desert .we did not finish it . They did gave us a truffle and a chocolate covered strawberry as an after dinner treat. But overall we were NOT IMPRESSED It Looked like they ran out of food and were not able to put out a good portioned plate. We Complained and we had 10% taken off the bill . We Left hungry and wanting a big burger. For room service Breakfast I ordered a medium poached egg they came firm and I was not able to dip toast. When we were dissatisfied with the burnt fish on the fish tacos the server came back to the table saying that the chef "thought the fish looked fine". The food and service were amazing. Ordered some appetisers to share for the table and they were all delicious. The calamari especially. I ordered a steak and it was very well prepared, always to my liking. I've eaten at this Sheraton Four Points restaurant a number of times over the years. Because we had business visitors in for a meeting couple of days ago I had the opportunity to eat dinner and then breakfast the next day. Both were rather disappointing. The drinks were fine - no complaints there but the food was mediocre at best. I and one of my visitors were disappointed with the Cioppino which was far too sweet and thick. My visitor remarked that it would have been better as a pasta sauce. Breakfast used to be excellent there but this time what used to be fantastic real home fried potatoes had been replaced by the much cheaper and all too common frozen-in-the-bag pieces of hollow, petrified pseudo-potato that resembled a bunch of brown dice on the plate. I noticed that all 4 of my dining colleagues left almost all of them on the plate to be disposed of or perhaps reused by the kitchen. Never again will be too soon. Too bad. read more
