We've always enjoyed Tapas, or small plates that we can share. This gem of a place was a two minute walk from our hotel, and provided one of the more memorable experiences we have had in a while. It's a fairly small space, most of which centers around the bar, which suits us to a tee. The service was really great, the vibe what we had hoped for, and the food was fantastic. The cocktail selection is varied and fun, if maybe a little pricey. The Pork Mushroom pate with the Crostini was amazing, and something we will try and replicate at home for sure. We also got the blackened Shishito peppers with a verde mayo and lime. We'd not had those peppers before, and they were delicious. The Pumpkin seed pesto Spaetzle and the elk steak went well together as well. Not our first spaetzle as we make it at home quite a bit, but our first exposure to elk, and it was excellent. There are so many choices in downtown, and many new, so it's a battlefield for diners. We'll be back to micro, and suggest you check it out too! read more

This is a very quaint and small bar with a cute interior and great food. I went after a hike for a quick beer with my partner and his sister. His sister and I tried their dinosour beer and my partner tried the stout. The sour was one of the best sours I have ever had. I loved it! If you are a coffee/stout drinker you will definitely like the stout as well. It was very coffee forward in flavour. We also got some snacks. My partner got the fries with chilli dijonaise, I got their Parmesan loaf with their in-house made sundried tomato butter and his sister got the duck fat popcorn. I loved all the food but was obsessed with their homemade butter. It was sweet and savoury and it was the best flavoured butter I have ever had. If you are around the area, I most definitely recommend you try it out! This place doesn't disappoint. read more

Tried to get into Raudz without a reso, by myself, but too long a wait. They suggested their sister restaurant two doors down, Micro. Glad they did. One of the best octopus dishes I ever had. Came here spontaneously after our original dinner plans fell through. We had tried Raudz earlier in the week and knew Micro was under the same management and thought we would give it a go. They only have about 3 outdoor tables, 2 indoor tables and it is mostly a bar. I noticed a lot of people would come by here as a way to pass the time while waiting for their table at Raudz. But we were here for dinner. We sat at the bar, and the service was great. The server was polite, nice and made recommendations to us from the small plate and large plate food menu. We got some beers and ordered the paella gnocchi, soft tacos, jerk lamb ribs and the pork lomo. The star of the show was definitely the paella gnocchi. Everything else was mediocre. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking a place to chill while waiting for a friend or a table elsewhere, but the food didn't wow me enough to come back to eat. But based on the service, I will definitely be back for a drink or two with my girlfriends. read more

4 stars for the cocktails, 2 stars for the food. I will start with the cocktails we had the bourbon bee sting and the Miami 75 both were great very smooth and great flavour. Now the food, overpriced for what you get. The turkey wings were very difficult to eat the meat should have been more tender but the flavour was good. Fries were nice and crispy. Cheese was waay overpriced 7$ for one piece not worth it. The courgette quiche tasted old and had a nasty grey colour to it. I will go back for the drinks but hopefully they switch up their menu. read more

First of all there's absolutely no place like it in Kelowna. This is a big city garden district bar nestled in the middle of honky tonk Kelowna (k, not really but yeah). Small setting but perfectly intimate. Drinks: Mixed cocktails are off the charts. Wine list is a local hard to find list. Beer list features local BC, Pacific NW, and odd gem from San Diego. Food: As of today I'd say the quality is seasonal. Anything affiliated with Raudz is a no brainer. read more

Heard great things about this place prior to coming. Came in quarter to 10 at night & they had a limited menu, but everything including a side water (with cucumber I might add) is to die for. This place is great. Was in Kelowna for business. We went there for happy hours and we went back there again few hours later for late night dinner. All the food is great, there is no bad menu items. The pork belly and the cheese platter is a must try. You can tell the chief is serious and proud of his creations. Definitely a must go place in Kelowna. Horrible service and dishonest bartender. We got ignored at the bar for 10 minutes and our some of our food ordered was forgotten about. The bartender apologised and said that it was on the house but the he got a different bartender to ring up the bill and she didn't take the items off the bill. The original bar tender was right beside her and he did nothing. We will not return! Don't waste your money on this bad service. I'm not sure if I would recommend this place or not...I might be a bit biased because my post-Christmas feelings around food are that nothing tastes really good because, well, I'm still full for days. I think for myself, I'd give it another chance. This place made me feel like a super awesome hipster. We ordered the frites, a charcuterie plate and a vegetable plate, the name of which escapes me. No need, really, to order bread with the charcuterie plate. The pickled beans and some of the samples on this plate were amazing...the house made cheese didn't have much flavour though. I did wish there were a few more crustini with the plate, but life goes on. I ordered a drink and they didn't have one ingredient for it, so the server suggested another drink instead. Which is cool but the substitution was $4 more and showed up on our bill that way. (I guess hipsters aren't supposed to care about those things.) A cute little neighbourhood bar in downtown Kelowna. The decor and atmosphere is great. Inside has two small tables by the window but otherwise is all seated at a nice rustic wood top bar. The service is friendly as well as prompt. The drink selection is both extensive and creative. The beer selection is small but wide all on rotating taps, you'll never see the same thing twice! The wine selection is small but wide, featuring one of each major type, however for our taste, there was far too few Okanagan wines, as we love to drink local wines especially while visiting a great wine region. Our second time here we had two appetizers before heading to dinner. The duck fat and rosemary popcorn was the perfect snack to accompany almost any drink. However where they lost a star was on their green bean and radish baravas. The tomato "sauce" was more like slightly watered down condensed tomato soup with soggy green beans on top. Overall, the atmosphere, service, drink selection, and personality of the place is 4 stars. (Pro tip: get the popcorn!!!) read more

We ran into this place when we were actually looking for a different place. After a look at the menu we decided to stay...best Dinner decision during our time in Kelowna. The service is fantastic during the whole time and the waiters do not only start paying attentions when it comes to the payment. The food was excellent. We had the grilled vedgetables, the fries, the drunken goat cheese and the Tatar. It is very hard to pick a favorit and I am sure that the rest of the menu is outstanding as well! read more

Amazing! Any time I visit Kelowna this place is a must even if it's just for a drink. There beer, wine and cocktails are to die for. Everything is done with care and the bartenders know exactly what they are doing. Now the food!!! Oh it's so good. We had the sheep cheese, boar confit and crostini. Wow, we were turned away as soon as I stepped half a foot in the door because of our 3.5 month old baby in a stroller! We were told no minors even though our baby would clearly not be drinking!! We went in for a late evening bite and drink. The mussels were very delicious, in a miso-cream-lemongrass succulent sauce, but I had to ask for bread (for which I had to pay) to sop up the salty deliciousness. That was a bit disappointing. The oysters were very mediocre, badly shucked, and two of the 6 we ordered were so tiny they should never have been served. The cheese options were simple and delightful and the wine was good (duh we are in Kelowna). Nice beer selection. The cod sliders were dry and the chutney-jam was just sugary and bland, very disappointing. The cocktails were fantastic, the mixologist knows what she's doing. The service was friendly enough. The atmosphere is great, the layout is super cool. We will try it again for their 5$ happy hour specials. Maybe this is more of a cocktail place than a place to eat. read more

Stopped in for a late-night cocktail and the friendly and knowledgeable barkeep recommended a local craft gin, which was good enough to order a double after the complimentary taste he gave me. His assistant was kindly attentive and talkative while I nursed it and took in the surroundings and crowd, both of which were nice and sophisticated w/o being sophisto. Hip and expensive, great drinks selection, fun "steampunk" style decor, friendly and attentive service... I liked a lot of things in this restaurant, you can see straight into the kitchen, and the chef is very creative - however experimentation is not always for the best.... for example the piece of foie gras served "bleu" (basically raw inside, lightly seared outside) is NOT a good idea. Rest was awesome. Be prepared to pay more for the imported drinks and the "hip" factor. read more

Nothing special happening here. The food varies between not good and good. In the first category we found the risotto fritters (little flavour, small portion), the turkey wings (lukewarm, small portion) and two cheese selections (too cold, not much flavour, small portions). The oysters were good, as were the fries (fried a minute longer by request, much appreciated) and the popcorn in duck fat. What I didn't like were the mug-like heavy glasses, used for the wine and beer. When I mentioned this to a server she said they "serve European style" . . . ah, yes, of course. How foolish of me. There is a good selection of beers on tap and bottled. I picked a bottled one which turned out to be canned, a big difference. The server wanted to pour my beer for me, forgetting the European style. The place has a nice lively buzz. Music a bit too loud to have a real conversation. May be I am too old (67) for this place. read more

We were surprised that it didn't come with crackers or bread to put the hummus on. We asked if we didn't order the bread, how would we eat it? The server said "with a spoon".
