I'd say it's a pretty good happy hour spot. Server was friendly and food was decent. It is a sports bar so expect a lot of hockey on tv. The atmosphere is casual and I would say a good hangout spot. We ordered calamari, dynamite roll and ahi tuna tacos. They were good. I would probably not go with dynamite roll next time. I will definitely come back to try other options read more

My son and I popped in here the night we arrived in Kamloops for dinner - a Sunday night around 7pm. We had no problem being seated and were greeted promptly by a very friendly waiter. My kiddo ordered the classic burger - huge and served with hand cut fries. Both were delicious. I had the small cowboy salad and a side of potato skins - also, quite tasty. Well. Where do i even start. Quite Frankly food looked great, tasted crap. Noticed someone wearing a rather odd outfit, hopefully the person wasn't working there. . The overall noise wasn't bad, quite peaceful, however I heard a laugh that was quite loud sounding dolphin like. We made a reservation for our Christmas party we were told it would be a min 18% tip for a table of 20. When we arrived people previously sitting in our table area refused to leave when we arrived we then had half our reservation of people put into very inconvenient booths adjacent to the other table of our reservation made it hard for us to all visit. Food was good kinda timely for how busy it was . Service was ok but then at around 8:45 we were told another reservation overlap ours and we would need to move which there was only room for 4-6 people to stay . Went here for brunch today, and was thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere is great, and the interior design is nice. We had 3 different people attending to us throughout our meal, and we had prompt service. We both had the mimosas and the eggs Benedict. The mimosas were made with freshly pressed orange juice(so beware if you don't like pulp!), and were a at a reasonable price of $5. The eggs Benedict had prosciutto instead of ham, and had some aged goat cheese. Normally I am not a fan of prosciutto because of the chewy texture, but their prosciutto was slightly crisped, and so tasty! The goat cheese was good, although some bites had too much of it, and the flavor was a little overwhelming. The eggs were poached perfectly(no uncooked whites, but yolk still runny), and the hollandaise is to die for! My only complaint is that they don't serve enough of the hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benny, so I had to pay for an extra side of it so that I wouldn't end up with any dry bites. But holy cow, it's honestly the best hollandaise sauce I've ever tasted, such a buttery rich flavor! The potatoes were crispy and lightly seasoned, and served with green onions on top. Very good. Overall the price seems reasonable, the environment is awesome, the service was great, and the food was amazing! I'm definitely coming back for the eggs Benedict again, and I want to come again to try their lunch and dinner menu as well! Definitely recommend! read more

Last night my boyfriend and I came in and it was my first bad experience at the restaurant. The service was terrible and his burger was so sloppy he couldn't even eat it. The waitress was nice but after taking our drink and food order we didn't see her again until it was time to pay. She didn't ask us how our food was, if we needed more drinks ( I finished my pop and my boyfriend finished his beer before dinner came) or if we needed anything else as a different server brought our food out. It was busy when we first got there but as we got our food it died right down. I was very excited to bring my boyfriend in as he had never been there before and I always raved about the food but sadly was for the first time very disappointed read more

Off and on, I have been going here since the location opened. I like their bunches as they (1) do a good job of medium poaching the eggs (a lot of places just soft poach eggs when you ask for medium poach), and (2) even before COVID they were rarely busy for brunch, which I find is more relaxing. I just went for my first post reopening brunch. I got there shortly after the opened and the first other customers did not arrive until just before I left. I am less impressed by their dinners, but I do have a friend who thinks they have the best hamburgers in Kamloops. I have not been there for lunch or dinner since they reopened but they used to be very busy then. I should also mention that in the summers, I like their side patio. read more

It's good, pretty much what you'd expect from a chain restaurant like this. Service was solid and friendly, we went during a slow time. Food was good, my burger was a bit messy. In town for a conference and I love my local Browns so decided to order some take out. I got the "Health Nut Mango Chicken" salad which is described as "goat cheese, kale, quinoa, walnuts, shaved radishes, honey lemon dressing". I got it without walnuts because I just don't like them and the friendly bartender asked if it was an allergy or preference and that was appreciated incase it was an allergy. I was super disappointed in the size. It was comparable to a small starter salad. They should at least add another cup of fresh greens, it is not going to kill their food costs...the mango tasted super fresh, but there was virtually no quinoa (maybe half a teaspoon) and no goat cheese at all. Those two ingredients are what sold me to this salad, so when I got back to my hotel room, I was super disappointed. read more

Recently went to Brown's Socialhouse for lunch. Was meeting a friend who was in town for the day and the location was convenient. Coincidentally it was also my 27th wedding anniversary. So I arrived with my friend, arranged to be on a patio and said my partner would be arriving a few minutes later. Everyone was super accommodating and friendly. Left us with menus. Anyway, as things happen we were seated on the outside deck and although others around us were being served, we were not. No biggee -we were visiting. Eventually my friend got up and went inside to speak with the wait staff about our needs. That's when the manager, Samuel, personally came out to apologize for our wait and take our order. We were treated like royalty from then on. He checked in with us a couple of times and even brought us a complimentary anniversary dessert. As well our meals were complimentary. I have never had this type of service before, ever! And the meals were outstanding - Blackened chicken Cowboy and Caesar salad and quesadilla. I think there was just a miscommunication with the wait staff, but they really went over and above to make it right. Will definitely return for good food and service. read more
