Good service even though we got moved because they wanted to make space for other people. I didn't mind but at least a compensation for moving since we were already comfortable. The ambiance is pretty tight not many tables to sit. Maybe if they expand a bit. The food was delicious will come back for more of the soup I had. I was really sick and that helped me so much.

So I really enjoyed this Thai place. Was a bit of a drive but we were in the area I was worried the food was gonna be cold by the time we got home especially since we took the street but it was super hot still thank you for making your food extra hot. It even burned my daughters. leg while she carried it so be careful and set it down. Pad Thai had good flavor good balance of sweet and the tang. Orange chicken had a perfect crisp with the perfect flavor. Fried rice was very good flavor magolian beef was soft good portions. Fresh rolls were different lettuce was a bit out of the roll but that peanut sauce was perfection and just made them delicious. Prices were ok unless you get chicken you have to pay an extra fee for the rest. I would come back though.

Going out to eat doesn't have to end up being expensive as long as you are willing to share the main dish and a side. I ordered Thai tea, chicken pad Thai, and a side of steamed rice. I enjoyed the tea it was really good and the pad Thai was more than enough for two people. The only thing missing was the crushed peanuts on the pad Thai which always enhances the flavor. There were more people picking up to go orders than they were eating inside.

Brilliant food and brilliant price. The restaurant is small with six four seat tables. We came in on a Friday evening (7pm) and there was no one there. Ordered a small tom ka soup and papaya salad, and they were delish! The lady serving us was super sweet and attentive. If you're ever at the Santa Anita mall in arcadia, this restaurant is about 3 miles away and definitely worth a visit!

The best crab fried rice in SGV! Kua Kai is 10/10. Not greasy like other restaurants. Definitely come back again.

The quality of the meat was excellent, and every dish was packed with flavor. The service was calm, friendly, and attentive. I was actually surprised by how quiet it was because the food deserves a much bigger crowd. What really blew me away was the portion size for the price. The servings were huge and such a great value. The service is always friendly and the ambiance is very warm and pleasant. It's a very humble and family/neighborhood oriented space. I would recommend to come visit them early (they open at 11:30) since people do line up to eat here. It's a little small in the main area but they do have another dining area on the other side so seating is in fact plenty! There is street parking right out front but if there's none, not to worry there's a lot of parking in the neighborhood so the walk over is relatively short. Not a problem, the lunch menu was equally enticing. A 2-course offering for $25. I started with the Thai Prawn Ceviche. This course was wonderfully balanced, not too acidic, also a nice touch of sweetness and plump flavorful prawns. For the main, my selection was the Beef Truffle Wok-Seared Noodles. I was delighted that they were round noodles and they arrived at my table stirred in a dark sauce with sliced beef pieces on top. A small porcelain decanter was also supplied, containing the truffle oil. I poured it over my noodles. The beef was tender, moist and could be cut with the usual provided table knife. The whole dish was a winner, from start to finish. Service here, as expected, was well executed. Need to be aware of the parking though. There is a public garage around the corner that is advertised for this establishment and a few others. Problem is, that Star Leaf validates only for 1-hour, while their neighbors do so, for 2-hours. I addressed this issue with the manager at my last visit and this time too. The answer I got was not convincing to suggest that they care, or will do something about it, anytime soon. Oh well.

Very clean and well decorated space. Nice AC on a hot summer day. Do note, the window seat is a little weird because you can't lean back (No back rest). I wanted something light so I got a small Tom Kha Chicken Soup and a Thai tea, which I asked to be less sweet and they obliged. The soup was very sour, which I didn't expect since it didn't say that in the menu description. I knew Tom Yum is sweet and sour but didn't expect that from a curry soup. Also, 1/3 of the soup were the spices (that you don't eat) so it felt really small of a portion after I removed those pieces. My friend gave me some of their extra rice and it was still too sour. The Thai iced tea was a little bland, probably since I asked for it to be less sweet, so I don't recommend doing that. I think less sweet also meant less milk so it wasn't very creamy. Still refreshing though. In my photo, you can see the color difference between my less sweet thai iced tea and my friend's normal one. Mine was kind of brown. His was the normal bright orange. I also tried my partner's pad Thai and normally I don't like pad Thai because it's too sweet, but this one was on the less sweet side so it was quite decent. I tried my partner's Thai Iced Coffee, which we ordered out of curiosity. She said it's basically normal coffee but more sweet. To my surprised, it was not sweet at all, like zero sugar. It tasted like a more burnt americano with a splash of milk. We were not fans. We parked about 1/2 mile away because street parking is free and we don't mind walking. Parking structure is available nearby too, for only $1 for the first 2 hours. Bathrooms are shared among three restaurants, but they are very clean.
