I work nearby and finally stopped in while running errands. I'm glad I did. I ordered the shrimp pho, and the broth was so rich and flavorful that I didn't even need to add sauce besides Sriracha (sometimes we need that kick!). They definitely don't skimp on the shrimp; I got way more than I usually do at other spots. The service was great, too. My card worked on the second try, and I waited approximately 10 minutes for my food. The spring rolls were delivered to the wrong table despite there only being two tables in the restaurant. That being said, I later ordered a drink in which the cashier laughed at me again for the card not working. Then, when we asked for the spring rolls, they gave them to us without apologizing in which we could overhear the cook telling off the cashier/waiter in Vietnamese. The pho was subpar and I almost always finish my pho but something about it was off, I don't know if it was the presentation or the oil, or the cashier laughing at me but I didn't finish it. This is a good size Vietnamese restaurant that is next to A1 pizza. We went about an hour before close. Surprised to see no one or any DoorDash orders. We got a couple of Lemongrass tofu Banh Mi. It was decent. They could have served it with a fish sauce on the side as the sandwich gets pretty dry. It is good value for money. We also ordered the Tofu and Veg spring roll. This was pretty good with the peanut dipping sauce. Service was good and quick. Decor is primarily from IKEA. I want to try their soups the next time. I would recommend this place for a quick meal. They have been open for a while now and the service quality seems to have actually declined. I want to like this place and I have had good meals here but lately they have really, really messed up my orders. If there is a guy and a lady(and the guy may no longer work there since I haven't seen him in a while) then the service is good but if it's two ladies they are scrambling to get the door unlocked in time for when they are supposed to open. Not only that I wanted a vermicelli rice bowl once and they gave me one but without any noodles. Another time I wanted the rice bowl with chicken and instead they give me a chicken banh mi sandwich. Maybe they are running short on noodles and they keep what they have for their pho? Who knows but after the latest incident of getting a sandwich instead of a rice bowl I think I am finished coming here. There have been other minor aggravations as well but the things I mentioned above are the really big foul up's. Too bad these orders were to go and weren't examined by the one picking them up for me to make sure the order was accurate. Which is another thing. These messed up orders were made online so I really don't think one could blame miscommunication with language barriers since these meals were ordered online from their own ordering system. It's like I am in some strange scenario of saying... 3.5 stars. Popped in for a drink and was surprised when I got a blended taro milk tea, I had ordered a taro milkshake tea. Got it 50% sweet with tapioca. The tapioca was fresh, so fresh in fact that it was HOT and I burned my tongue. The taro was good though, really creamy and rich, like drinking ice cream. The Good: The WonTon soup is really good! It was served hot and full of flavor. The hospitality was great because the hostess was attentive and made sure that I had every thing I might need. This included some sauces and toppings for the soup. The seating are of the restaurant was clean and comfortable. The Bad: I liked the soup so well that I tried to order it for lunch the next week while I was at work. I got a call saying that they didn't have any made. I love this place! A friend took me out today. Such an affordable tasty treat. Very fresh spring rolls, the shrimp does not have that off smell. They put carrots in their spring rolls, which I loved the texture in there. Two long filling spring rolls in one package. We ordered the beef pho. How can you go wrong with clear clean broth? Lots of rice noodles and just the right amount of sprouts and basil inside my bowl. For under $5, this was an amazing price and we both agreed how delicious the broth was made. It is a no frills shop, so please don't expect it to be some elaborate Vietnamese restaurant. I liked the workers, street parking was super easy to find outside, menu isn't complicated, and it's a clean friendly establishment. We've been disappointed here. The bahn mi sandwiches are perfectly portioned and so tasty. My go to is the lemongrass tofu and my wife's is the chicken. I used to visit fresh rolls often before the pandemic and they always were quick and had good food. So when I had an appointment near by the other day I decided to Stop by on my way back to the office from my appointment. When I arrived no one was at the register. Someone was preparing food and told me they will be with me shortly. I could not find a menu anywhere so I waited and frantically tried to see if I can find a photo of their menu on Yelp. After waiting for a few minutes someone came to the register to take my order. I asked for a menu and at that point she realized she had not turned on the screens that display their menu. Anyway since I was running late at that point I quickly picked the lemon grass beef rice bowl. The price they have on their website for this dish is 10.99, on their menu it said 12.99 but when she charged me it was 13.99!!! So either they don't update their menu and website with the price changes or they just randomly charge what they want. My food was ready in 6 or 7 minutes. Once I arrived to the office and took the first bite I realized that the rice was at least 1 day old if not more. I couldn't even eat the rice. Had to throw it away and just ate the lettuce, pickled carrots and the lemon grass beef. The beef tasted good but nothing out of the ordinary. Very disappointed with this place! I am a big fan of spring rolls, and to find a place that is named for this entree, you would think it would be their specialty! Sure, they have a great variety, and other options as well, such as vietnamese sandwiches. However, it doesn't matter which spring roll option you order, they all taste about the same. No distinct seasoning used. Additionally, they are overpriced. When I ordered mine to go, I walked out the door, and then discovered I didn't have any peanut sauce or hot sauce to dip them in. I went back in, and was told 'twenty five cent each'. Usually, these are provided without having to ask, let alone pay extra for! Pho-sure some delicious soup. A little different from a normal pho shop and nothing fancy but tasty and cheap. $5 for a big bowl. Unlike most pho restaurants the bean sprouts, basil, etc. come in the soup, not on the side. They charged me an extra $1.50 to add carrots and broccoli to my tofu pho but it was still super cheap. I order this on Uber eats....it's so FAST! I have enjoyed the food. They use fried garlic for extra flavor and it's soooo delicious. The rice bowls and salads are great. Spring rolls have always been tasty and fresh. I don't know how I'm getting"fresh" rolls when in ordering and folks coming inside the restaurant are getting old ones ? Mine have always been fresh tasting. Tofu salad Excellent. BBQ pork spring roll, great. Only thing is as another Yelp customer said, the crunchy rolls are kind of a mystery what's in them and no matter how many I order, usually only 1 or 2 end up in my delivery. Also, the wonton soup is flavorful, but agree w other yelper, they put the soup in the bowl so hot and it compromises the cheap plastic bowl. Ordered Uber Eats. Needed something fast and wanted to take advantage of the August Friday free delivery promo...this was a solid choice...fast. Two orders of rolls and a beef pho. Only four stars for the pricing/value, quality is 3: Reviews say it is overpriced?? Not at all!! You pay more for rolls half this at the Safeway sushi counter (the ones with fresh sushi)-- and I'm saying that despite the delivery upcharge (everything is about a dollar more, but comes with a sauce). Plenty of food for your buck. Loosely rolled and a little short on herbs, but nice and fresh. I knew the pho would not be amazing, especially for being so affordable. Decent portion, actually, but a little odd they serve takeout with noodles already added (they fall apart). No big deal. Again too few herbs (need more basil) and the broth clearly is the same they use for chicken and tofu, tasty--but very light. My main complaint is the beef is sliced with the grain and a cheaper cut. Even in broth it dries out. They don't call it rare beef pho, didn't expect that, but dry chewy beef pho is not so great, I ate around the beef. I ordered a salmon rice bowl. The picture on their website clearly shows a cut of salmon with nice glazing on a bed of rice and lettuce. What I received was some kind of thick salmon/fish ground patty, sliced up and undercooked, with no glazing, topped with greens (cilantro?) and tons of chopped peanutes (??) on a bed of rice with a huge side of lettuce and grated carrots. I could not eat this patty, it was so disgusting. Totally NOT what I ordered. I've had many salmon rice bowls in my life; this was not a salmon rice bowl, but something else entirely. Awful. I had also ordered veggie tofu spring rolls and BBQ pork spring rolls for tomorrow night's dinner, so I ate those instead. The BBQ pork one was fine. The veggie tofu has a HUGE rectangular slab just slapped on the greens and wrapped in rice paper. Way too much tofu, with no taste at all. What a waste of money!
