In a strip mall with Target. The Google maps didn't precisely lead me there so in the target parking lot it is on the east side north of what used to be hobby lobby. I had beef pho. Flavors were good but it was a little skinny on product. See photo, it was mainly noodles broth and beef. I added the basil and bean sprouts, but left out the jaleps. Flavors were good. Seems like homemade broth from bone stock, etc. side sauce choices were good. I went with the sambal like paste and it had great depth of flavor. Service was initially fast and food arrived quickly.ni was then ignored though. There were 4-5 tables with guests..my server disappeared in the back and didn't return. No check left and I had to knock on the kitchen door to get her to come out so I could pay. Pretty spicy food and I ran out of water,.so, service, meh. Nice exterior and interior space. Clean and well maintained. Out the door with tax and tip for about $20 for a large beef sausage pho. Recommend for the easy access (plenty of parking) and good quality. read more

Very ordinary looking storefront in the Tacoma Target strip mall. However, the food and service were excellent! We were first seated at a table but the staff asked if we wanted to move to a booth once another party left. The booth was much more cozy and comfortable. Drinks were refilled often and food came out hot and quick. I got the regular size combo pho and it was delicious. Noodles were elastic and not crumbling. Good portion of meats. Lots of chilis at the table (3 containers) in addition to the standard sriracha and hoisin. Lots of bean sprouts and thai basil, just how I like it! Ordered online. When I got to Pho Garden, the lady at the desk said they are out of the meat I purchased in one of the soups. I purchased oxtail, so it was three dollars more. I also got the fried platter so she said she would compensate with one additional hot wing. They hadn't even started my order. I sat for ten minutes, and she came out and said they were out of hot wings, so she would compensate with an extra tempura. I sat for 20 additional minutes while they cooked the food. This all could have been alleviated ahead of time if she called me when she knew my order would require adjustments. She didn't do that because she said she was busy, so I sat for 30 minutes and received one additional tempura shrimp for my convenience. This place is all about penny pinching. Always good food here! I wonder if the other place has made it slower here. Service was spot on in the afternoon 5pm from work. I ordered the Bahn Mi with no jalepenos and extra vegis. Those are so nice and crispy!! Love em. Hubby had the pork chops. And wow... they gave him 3 pork chops nicely sweetened with that charsu flavor. Random stop OTW down from Seattle to Portland, and my wife and I were craving something warm. They seem really understaffed as there was only one gentlemen serving, taking orders, and working the register. That being said the interior was still relatively clean all things considered. Food was decent and relatively well priced. I had their Combination Rice plate which was a nice portion of chicken and pork, which were grilled and flavored well. My wife had their classic Pho which she also said was decent and a huge portion as well. There used to be a Subway sandwich shop location in this space but I'm so glad they closed and Pho Garden moved in. Such a huge improvement! I've had my sights on this restaurant for a while but don't particularly want pho during the summer. I thought it would be a good idea to explore their Banh Mi options and Vermicelli bowl options. So glad that we explored that! The sandwiches were excellent and we split a Vermicelli bowl which was so good! The ingredients were so very fresh and well done on the service! Wow, really really great pho restaurant! We had a kids chicken pho, pho tai and house pho. We also had shrimp spring rolls and potstickers. The Thai tea and bubble tea were great! I really enjoyed the variety of hot add-in options for my pho. This restaurant was clean, organized and the staff member was so kind and professional. She provided great service! My lost star is because this place is expensive compared to others. No military discount, $8 for a kids bowl and $6.15 for a bubble tea is pricey. I got the special beef back ribs pho. It was delicious! I'm very particular with pho because I've had it a lot. I have had really good pho in restaurants and have had really good homemade pho so it takes a lot to impress me. I would eat this again, and I'm definitely adding beef back ribs to my pho. The meat was tender and the broth was pretty good. The service was excellent and the place was tidy. We randomly walked into this place and had no idea what to expect. At first notice the service was really slow. Probably one of the slower pho spots I have ever been to, but the lady running the front was doing everything. Cashier, taking orders, cleaning tables, handling the phone and handling take out orders. It was a lot for one person. She definitely made up for the slow service by providing excellent service. A pair of scissors were provided since I had kids to cut the noodles without us asking. The kids were given cups of water in bubble tea style cups (they loved it). The portions of the XL were huge. It was the most I have seen and it was well worth it. When my order was taken wrong, the lady apologized and let us keep the order plus added additional meatballs (my original order). This spot is great for families. The flavor was overall decent. The iced coffee was just ok. read more

After many delicious meals from Pho Garden, something has changed. We ordered dishes tonight that we've had several times - lemongrass tofu, the grilled pork plate, and an exotic passion drink. The lemongrass tofu has a different sauce, and I'd be surprised if lemongrass was an ingredient at all. The grilled pork had a pretty high proportion of fat to meat. Both dishes were served with a sad salad, drenched in some kind of cream dressing. Neither were worth the elevated price that Pho Garden charges. We're bummed, since this has been a little gem that we really enjoyed many times. The same dishes are available for higher quality, and better prices elsewhere. If Pho Garden is convenient for you, go for it. Otherwise, it's probably not worth going out of your way. read more
