Stadium Thai was an unexpected bt highly pleasant meal experience. We have been wanting to go here for a while but are seldomly in this neighborhood so it took a while to make it here but ultimately we were very happy that we did! For a long time I got Drunken Noodles whenever going to a Thai restaurant if I could but the last few times I have wanted something different than that. So on this outing I got the the House Ginger. This was a stir fry with your choice of protein (mine was chicken), ginger, stir fry sauce, garlic, onion, bell pepper, green onion and carrot. It also came with rice and the portion sizes were very satisfying and not too much. The flavor on my meal was so good, very fresh and bursting with flavor. Steve was equally impressed with his as he got the Drunken Noodles. Nothing is too fancy here. Decor is more basic but the place is clean and the food (at least mine) came out in containers but it was so good it didn't really matter. I think a lot if how it's presented is for the "to go" crowd of customers if I remember hearing that correctly from other people I chatted with about their meals here. Very good place with friendly service. Definitely worthy of all the stars! read more

The defining characteristic of Thai cuisine is its bold flavors. Due to the unique geographical location and local ingredients of Southeast Asian countries, Thai food incorporates a generous amount of pungent seasonings such as basil, holy basil, mint, and more. Overall, Thai cuisine is a great choice. Environment: I arrived around 2:00 PM, and since it was past the lunch rush, there weren't many customers. The environment was very clean, with bright and spotless windows. Taste: I ordered the chicken with rice and added a portion of green curry beef. The chicken with rice was the restaurant's recommendation. It was impressive at first bite and quite enjoyable, but it became saltier as I ate toward the end. The portion of chicken was modest, so overall, it's still recommended. As for the green curry beef, it wasn't very rich, and the beef was scarce. I had expected chunks of beef, but what came out was sliced beef coated in starch. The texture wasn't great, so I wouldn't particularly recommend it. Service: The service was good. The staff came over to ask how the meal was, always serving with a smile. read more

It's a pretty nice establishment, small and quaint. The food was delicious, and the customer service was wonderful. I met the owner and his wife, who seem like lovely people. When I'm back in Tacoma, I'll definitely stop in again for the Thai vegetable soup with clear broth and shrimp. read more

I had a really great experience at stadium thai in Tacoma! From the moment I ordered, the customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made the entire experience amazing. The food itself was delicious and the portions were very generous, especially considering how affordable everything was. I ordered pad thai level 3 along with a penang beef curry, and both portions were easily enough to leave you completely satisfied. The curry was rich, creamy, flavorful, and had plenty of vegetables and protein throughout. You can tell from the portions that they definitely aren't trying to skimp on the food. What impressed me most was the value for the price. Seattle can get pretty expensive when it comes to eating out, so finding a place where you can get this much good food at an affordable price was a huge plus. The combination of generous portions, good quality food, reasonable prices, and genuinely great customer service made this place stand out. Overall, this was a great experience and exactly the kind of local restaurant I love finding while traveling. If you're in Tacoma and looking for Thai food that gives you plenty of food for your money without sacrificing flavor or service, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. I would absolutely come back the next time I'm in Tacoma! read more

Stadium Thai - Pad Thai level 3 and Beef Penang level 3 - Thai Near Me - Tacoma, Washington

A solid choice for pad thai in Tacoma's stadium district. Owner took my order. He is super friendly and eager to please! They have a big selection of sodas. Pad thai came piping hot, and a good portion in my to-go box. I ordered 4/5 spice and it was definitely spicy! Spice level became more manageable as my noodles cooled down. Not the most authentic pad thai I've had but still tasty. Lunch order came with 3 gyoza and a soda. With tax and tip, this meal was ~$20. I wish I had asked for some utensils so that I could stop at the park and have a picnic, the weather was great. Ambiance is quaint, simple, and plain. The location is very small with limited parking! read more

Service: you order at the front and pick your food up when dining in. Cutlery and spices are next to the register, bus yourself up when you leave. Easy peasy. Friendly staff. Food: delicious, I like that when I ask for level 4/5 spice they give it. All fresh ingredients. read more

What a great service! Food was great too! It's a bit salty for me but everything was fresh! Ambience is great. You bass your own plates. Price was a bit expensive. I paid a few dimes shy from $20 for lunch. I love how they are serving for the community giving discounts for first responders. I love that. I will definitely come back!!!! I recommend this place! read more

Found this restaurant near Tacoma General,, great reviews so i checked it out. Ordered my favorite Thai meal...Basel Fried Rice with chicken and tofu. It was so good and spicy. i enjoyed it. I also ordered the fresh Rolls - they were okay but very fresh. A great contrast to the hot rice dish. Service was nice. Parking is very unique. It took me a minute to figure it out. You definitely need to be creative. read more

I'd been trying to get there for months. Nothing was stopping me except bad timing. Then, thinking I'd missed their open hours again, I went on Google and saw that they had changed their hours. Yes! I drove there, went inside a nice, small, super clean restaurant, with a very kind gentleman who took my order. The food came out fast and I went home to eat the dreamiest drunken noodles you'd ever wish to eat. I'm glad I chose the dish - I saw it reviewed and decided to go for it. I chose spice level 2 out of 5. Very nice. I'm going to go back as soon as I can. This is some good eating! read more

We ordered the pad Thai with shrimp and the panang curry with chicken both spice level 2. Which for a white girl was pretty spicy, my lips were numb after I finished. The pad Thai was very tangy and sweet tasting. Not what I am used to for pad thai, my husband liked it though. The panang curry was delicious, though the chicken got over cooked, I'm assuming in delivery when it was cooked and out in a container it probably just over cooked in the hot broth b/c it was still VERY warm When we got it being delivered, which to me Means great service. Would like to try some other dishes at another time here so I'd say worth going back. Thanks for the delicious dinner read more

The best chicken larb in Tacoma. So much lime juice and the best fish sauce. I dream about it!

I always order their panang curry and pad thai. Food is always freshly prepared and the prices are reasonable. I have not been to the store since I always order delivery. They always get my order right though so that says a lot about their service. You could adjust the spice level on all their dishes and they have remained consistent. This is definitely my favorite Thai place in DT Tacoma. read more

As always so good here. It's a sunny Saturday and all is well in the neighborhood. We were out doing yardwork and house cleaning. So we got hungry NOW! Came down and got hot fresh food. Super cute place. Lovingly prepared food, good location. Very tasty. Husband and wife team provide quick, friendly service!

We love a review update that remains five stars! I can't believe that it's already been over a year since I've had Stadium Thai. What?! This is yet another delivery review, but I can't believe it's been so long. For Father's Day, my fiancé just wanted to have a relaxing evening and order dinner in and was craving Thai. Both of the spots that he normally would've chosen were closed so I suggested Stadium Thai. Happy to report that he was satisfied with everything that we ordered! We got the crispy garlic chicken (his recent fave), penang curry, and crab rangoon. He loved his garlic chicken and the penang curry was delicious. Lots of flavor, right amount of spice, and it was creamy rather than being super thin and watery. The crab rangoon were also delicious and a collective favorite of ours. Stadium Thai sort of fell off my radar but I won't let that happen again - hoping next time we can try them at the actual restaurant rather than delivery. read more

I have only ordered through delivery apps here as we have tried dining in but the parking is a bit too difficult to get into. However, I will say that their take out portion is generous and delicious! They also do a great job of packing orders, no spills or messes! And they actually read your notes on delivery apps, which is pretty rare but highly appreciated! I have ordered their pineapple fried rice, phad see ew, rama noodles, and kuay teow kau gai and have not been disappointed. All of these dishes have that delightful wok char taste. They also are very accurate on spice levels so stick with the level that you ideally want and you will get it. I get my orders on spice level 4 and 5 and it is perfect level of spiciness while also being able to taste the flavors of the dish (not just drenched in pepper flakes, they cook the spices into the dishes). I ordered their pineapple tropical lemonade which was good, I'm glad it wasn't too sweet but definitely needs a bit more flavor. I do hope to dine in but at the moment, I'm very satisfied with their take out game. read more

Do not recommend for Pad Thai. I may adjust my review after I come back to try something else on their menu but for Pad Thai this was the worst I've had! The sauce was heavy, syrupy and sweet. Barely any chicken, no bean sprouts or crushed peanut. It basically looked like a big pile of saucy noodles which may hit the spot for some but I was really hoping for more fresh ingredients like I've had at other places. I brought some home to my teenage son and he couldn't finish it either. Bit of a bummer. Also I ordered at 2pm with a side of steamed veggies and was shocked my order was $27 ! I found out later there was a lunch portion - I wish they had let me know. read more

My go to is the Thai fried rice. It's the perfect amount of food. I like the fresh vegetables and the even portion of protein

Let me start by saying that the people here are so lovely and kind. I had eaten here before and ordered the pad thai and it was great. This time was the green curry. It was sad. Veggies were cold and raw. The curry was watery and flavorless. The rice was packed into a tiny container and looked pre packed. It was expensive but could not eat it... waste of my money. read more

The staff are super friendly and the food is prepared very quickly. The quality and price point are fantastic. Great for carry out, but they have a nice cafe style eat-in option as well. Glad to have this little gem in the neighborhood read more

This is a very good, small restaurant that has reliable, delicious food. The American Thai staples are easy and tasty. Hands down the best Thai food ever. I think about this pad thai almost every day & their tom kha soup is perfect!!!!!!! Daryl & Nat are awesome & so so kind so it makes showing up to their shop even better!!!! it's the perfect little space and I love that they have sweet memories displayed in their dining room!!! I could not rave about this place enough!! read more

first off let's just put it out there - this place was good till tonight. The panang curry is like a watered down salty soup. The spring rolls are full of iceberg lettuce and not much more. The amount of rice offered with the order of curry does not measure up. The peanut sauce is also very watered down. This food is awful. read more

This place is a gem in the rough. The owners are new, but the chef is the same. They're a married couple, she's Thai, he's gringo. Been married 20+years!! They bought the place from the owners who retired. They're struggling a little bit with finding their own way I think. Sounds like Tacoma isn't very kind to their Restaurateurs... it's crazy expensive to change items on a menu, that's not right! Changing up your menu should be a joy not an onus. Do better Tacoma health department! Ok, rant over.... The food was good, authentic and tasty. Be warned the pad thai is super sweet and soupy... unless you are ready for this is not a welcome surprise (tho to be fare we were warned) All of the food we got was fresh and tasty. Unfortunately it was served in plastic containers... not sure if this was to save on doing dishes, or they have just always done it. I was a bit disappointed by that, at least switching to paper would be a more eco-friendly option. Probably cheaper too!! The ambiance was cute, it could have quite the clientele if they did some social media adverts and tweaked some of the simple stuff they were doing. The owner, Darrell I think he said his name was, is brilliant! He just needs some good marketing and YouTube university to see him through. Solid fare and authentic food. I highly recommend this place! read more

The portions are generous and it tastes like good home cooked Thai. My Basil kra pao could have used more spice and sauce, even at 3 / 5 spicy it felt like it was held back for western audiences. This was easily fixed with the seasoning sauce and chili flakes available at the table. read more

The sweetest Thai ladies cooking a storm in the back of this kitchen. I ordered the pad Thai and fried rice and my friend ordered the garlic chicken and another chicken dish. Truly the most authentic Thai food I have eaten since I've come back from Thailand. I love the Thai street style this eatery goes after. I couldn't adjust the spice level since we were eating with toddlers. But next time I will definitely order the sandwich and the hainanese chicken. I look forward to coming back and dining here often. The restaurant does not have many tables to sit at, so fair warning. Also, bathroom is in the back of the restaurant. Lastly, parking is limited, you'll have to find street parking. read more

Things that need improvement. Don't put lemon in the soup, let the customer do it. It should taste like soup and not just lemon. Actually, if it's a condiment just leave it up to the customer. Work on the broth too. read more

The FIRST thing I noticed was the delicious aroma as I entered. Tommy took my order and was very friendly and asked me exactly all the right questions for my order. I ordered Tacoma Supergreens with chicken and brown rice.. It was served on a tray with silverware to my table. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS, and cooked just right ( vegetables were tender, not mushy), the chicken was so flavorful, and the brown rice was the best I have had at any restaurant.
