They cook the food for you tableside
    Susie Q.

Please be cautious. My group suffered severe food poisoning after eating here. We noticed a few items, specifically the steamed pork dumplings, tasted off and old. We reached out to management to resolve this privately, but they were unhelpful. Given the high prices here, we expected much better food safety standards. The servers on the other hand were extremely helpful and courteous. 5 stars for them. It's a shame because the service was great, but the food safety standards were unacceptable.

If you enjoy Cantonese style seafood, this is the place. They have a wide variety of seafood where they steam it table side for you and they cook the congee at the bottom with all the seafood drippings. A very unique combination for sure. We ordered geoduck, razor clams, cabbage, a whole fish, and spare ribs congee to share among three people. A bit pricey but good quality and fresh seafood. The servers were also very friendly. Will likely come back when I crave seafood again.

Very fresh sea food and friendly service! Mia has been very helpful and nice to us :)

Very unique experience where they cook the food for you table-side. It's nice that you get perfectly cooked fresh seafood that way without you worrying about over or under cooking anything. The scallops I got were especially good. Great service for real. The congee at the end with all the flavors from your order was a nice touch. Would recommend if you're looking for a new and different sort of seafood experience

I highly recommend this place. The food was all very fresh and delicious. All the dishes I ordered was amazing. What I like is you can make your own sauce at the sauce bar. The service was definitely top notch. They cook all your food at the table for you and portion out for you after done. Underneath the steamer is your choice of porridge or soup. So all the food you order, the flavor of all your items drops down to your choice of porridge or soup, which was all very complimenting at the end of the meal. The atmosphere is kind of a place where you can gather with friends and family and either get loud and have fun. Can also be a place to catch up with your close ones but do not expect a candle light dinner type of thing.

Best live seafood in town. They provided excellent service. Top of the freshness. Will definitely come visit again!

It consistently receives positive reviews; the service is excellent, and they assist with steaming the food throughout the meal. Although it's a bit expensive, the food is very fresh.

If you're a seafood lover, this is the place to be! The steamed fresh seafood here is absolutely amazing. I especially enjoyed the king crab and shrimp -- they're steamed right at the table, and the natural juices drip into the pot to make a flavorful porridge at the end. It's not only delicious but also a unique and fun dining experience. They also offer noodle options, which pair perfectly with the seafood. A big shoutout to our server May -- she was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. Highly recommend!

The food remained fresh as usual, but the service was a bit strange and off, especially when it came to larger parties (consisting of at least 4 people). We visited on a Sunday night, and the restaurant was relatively empty with no waiting line. The service was decent, but nothing extraordinary or particularly exceptional. After finishing our meal, we decided to split the bill into two separate payments, and we also split the tips accordingly. However, to our surprise, the staff insisted that we give additional tips, demanding at least an 18% tip for each bill, even though we were all part of the same party and had already given a 15% tip on each bill. Our total bill at the end around $300 The staff explained that they needed to justify this to their boss and insisted that we couldn't leave until we complied. It was the first time I had ever encountered such a situation, and it left me with the feeling that the restaurant was taking advantage of customers, despite tips being discretionary and based on appreciation.

Food is great, but definitely on the expensive side. They will ask you to choose a soup base, which will be steamed at the bottom of the pot and served at the end in a porridge form, so don't be full before getting to the porridge which is very filling! On top of the soup base, they will ask you to order seafood, which will be steamed. We ordered a selection of clams as well as fish, which in hindsight is definitely two much for 2 people. The seafood are not seasoned for the fresh taste, but there are sauces at a small corner, which I do recommend getting unless you are shooting for just the fresh taste of the seafood. Ended up spending ~$90 per person after tax and tip. Although the food tastes great, since they are just steamed, I wonder if I can also just buy fresh seafood from the market and cook myself to reach the same taste..

The thick soup was loaded with egg, tofu, cilantro, mushrooms, and green onion. OMG, the soup was boiling HOT! I had to gently sip it. Then gradually I added the crispy won tons. Wow, the ten dumplings loaded the bowl. These plump won tons and the thick soup made for a satisfying meal. Price: $12.00, serves 1-2 ppl. Yes, I would definitely return if I was in the area. Most Chinese restaurants will accommodate a guest request so long as they have the ingredients and they know how to compose the dish. How they work out the pricing may be something else. At the table immediately behind my mom, I heard the guest ordering a Hot & Sour Soup, add Won Ton. One of my favorite mash-ups! We ended up having a very nice conversation over lunch. If you come here, get this. What I'd skip: Fujian Fried Rice: Unfortunately pretty disappointing. The texture was mushy and it lacked flavor throughout. Wouldn't order again. Deep Fried Flounder: Way too heavily battered. The thick coating of flour overpowered everything and there wasn't much flavor coming through underneath. Could be a solid dish with a lighter touch. Seafood Pan-Fried Crispy Noodle: Decent enough but pretty flat on flavor. Just okay. Deep Fried Fish Balls: The flavor was actually there, which was a plus, but they were a bit overcooked and came out harder than they should have been. No water, just pure concentrated flavor. The restaurant gets its name from simmering, one of the essential Chinese cooking techniques, and you can taste that philosophy across the whole menu. The Dry Pot lived up to the hype, but the real surprise was the skewers. Beef, lamb, and chicken, intensely flavorful and rich. I can't stop thinking about them. The potstickers were also way better than expected. Usually a throwaway order at most places, but here they were juicy and packed with flavor. The beef pancakes were fantastic. Golden and crispy on the outside, juicy flavor bomb on thes inside. Both crunchy and a little chewy (in the good way). Came back a few weeks later with friends and ordered the whole grilled fish, which I'd been eyeing since my first visit. It looked magnificent, but it didn't really pop the way the other dishes did. If you love fish it's worth trying, but the dry pot, skewers, beef pancakes, and dumplings are the stars here. We also got a few veggie dishes which were all great accompaniments...but nobody is here for the veggies. A few practical notes. They have a beer tap but it doesn't work, so if you're into beer, they've got a few options by the bottle. Parking is easy since it's in the Serramonte Center, and you can combine it with a trip to Jagalchi, Target, or whatever else you need. Both times I came there was plenty of seating. I'll be back soon, and next time I'm getting the dry pot with their handmade noodles.

They are located in a strip mall near several different food places, bakery, and a bowling alley. This is a solid dim sum place, with no frills and reasonable prices. You order off a printed menu that's in Chinese with tiny English subtitles. You can also order off their regular menu if you want to supplement the dim sum dishes. Their food is very good, and some dishes were excellent. The service was pretty quick, and before we knew it, all our dishes were out with almost no room on the lazy Susan. The standouts for me were: + Steamed custard buns (piggy buns) - I ordered these for the kiddies, but dang they are so good. The custard filling is so velvety, it's almost like pudding. I think I detected a hint of coconut too - yum. + Beef chow fun - this had a really good wok flavor and the noodles were less wide than most. The noodles didn't clump either, and the bean sprouts were still crispy. + Roasted pork belly - the skin was so crispy and the pork was juicy. We ordered most of the basic dishes like har gaw, sui mai, noodle rolls, turnip cake, stuffed eggplant, chicken feet, etc. and they were all above average. My only complaint is if you don't read Chinese, the menu is a little hard to navigate. The English subtitles are so small that if you're looking for something, you have to scan the front and back of the menu trying to find the item. I was looking for sticky rice in lotus leaf, but found sticky rice roll and thought it was the same thing. It wasn't. The sticky rice roll was not bad, but I found the rice drier than when it's in lotus leaf. We ordered a few things by mistake because the English subtitles were not that descriptive. Overall, a great alternative to more popular places like Koi Palace. The menu may not be as creative as Koi, but you don't have to deal with the lines and you still get great food.

The dim sum menu was extensive, and they also had daily specials. Everything we ordered came out hot, fresh, and in a reasonable amount of time. One of the staff came around with a tray of baked goods immediately upon seated. We tried the BBQ Pork pastry, and it was flaky, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweet and savory--definitely recommend that one. Overall, we enjoyed almost everything we ordered. The only miss for us was one of the fried fish dishes and the green onion mantou, which was just okay. Would we come back? Absolutely. The service was efficient, the portions generous, and the food solid. Great spot if you're looking for dim sum that delivers on quality without the usual weekend chaos.
