Came for dinner on Friday night and it wasn't too busy. This is a seafood-focused restaurant, so it's definitely a splurge meal. The menu requires a bit of deciphering because some things are priced per unit, some per KG (with minimums that are not listed), and some per serving, so just look closely and ask questions so you know what you are getting. This style of restaurant is unique and the first time I have eaten this way. You steam the food above a pot of congee which takes on some flavor from the meat, then you eat the congee at the end of the meal. Lots of delicious options, and I especially loved the handmade shrimp balls - I wouldn't miss those! Also be aware of the timing on the cooking. We relied on the servers to tell us when things were ready, and we may have left some things a little too long... be vigilant!!

Please be cautious. My group suffered severe food poisoning after eating here. We noticed a few items, specifically the steamed pork dumplings, tasted off and old. We reached out to management to resolve this privately, but they were unhelpful. Given the high prices here, we expected much better food safety standards. The servers on the other hand were extremely helpful and courteous. 5 stars for them. It's a shame because the service was great, but the food safety standards were unacceptable.

Very fresh sea food and friendly service! Mia has been very helpful and nice to us :)

Scallops

Very unique experience where they cook the food for you table-side. It's nice that you get perfectly cooked fresh seafood that way without you worrying about over or under cooking anything. The scallops I got were especially good. Great service for real. The congee at the end with all the flavors from your order was a nice touch. Would recommend if you're looking for a new and different sort of seafood experience

If you enjoy Cantonese style seafood, this is the place. They have a wide variety of seafood where they steam it table side for you and they cook the congee at the bottom with all the seafood drippings. A very unique combination for sure. We ordered geoduck, razor clams, cabbage, a whole fish, and spare ribs congee to share among three people. A bit pricey but good quality and fresh seafood. The servers were also very friendly. Will likely come back when I crave seafood again.

I highly recommend this place. The food was all very fresh and delicious. All the dishes I ordered was amazing. What I like is you can make your own sauce at the sauce bar. The service was definitely top notch. They cook all your food at the table for you and portion out for you after done. Underneath the steamer is your choice of porridge or soup. So all the food you order, the flavor of all your items drops down to your choice of porridge or soup, which was all very complimenting at the end of the meal. The atmosphere is kind of a place where you can gather with friends and family and either get loud and have fun. Can also be a place to catch up with your close ones but do not expect a candle light dinner type of thing.

Lobster

Best live seafood in town. They provided excellent service. Top of the freshness. Will definitely come visit again!

Scallops with garlic

It consistently receives positive reviews; the service is excellent, and they assist with steaming the food throughout the meal. Although it's a bit expensive, the food is very fresh.

If you're a seafood lover, this is the place to be! The steamed fresh seafood here is absolutely amazing. I especially enjoyed the king crab and shrimp -- they're steamed right at the table, and the natural juices drip into the pot to make a flavorful porridge at the end. It's not only delicious but also a unique and fun dining experience. They also offer noodle options, which pair perfectly with the seafood. A big shoutout to our server May -- she was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. Highly recommend!

Add-on garlic and green onion option, you can get it at the sauce bar

The food remained fresh as usual, but the service was a bit strange and off, especially when it came to larger parties (consisting of at least 4 people). We visited on a Sunday night, and the restaurant was relatively empty with no waiting line. The service was decent, but nothing extraordinary or particularly exceptional. After finishing our meal, we decided to split the bill into two separate payments, and we also split the tips accordingly. However, to our surprise, the staff insisted that we give additional tips, demanding at least an 18% tip for each bill, even though we were all part of the same party and had already given a 15% tip on each bill. Our total bill at the end around $300 The staff explained that they needed to justify this to their boss and insisted that we couldn't leave until we complied. It was the first time I had ever encountered such a situation, and it left me with the feeling that the restaurant was taking advantage of customers, despite tips being discretionary and based on appreciation.

Great food - shrimp, scallops and blue carbs are very fresh and tasted sweet! Super service! Highly Recommend !!!! Manager is very sweet!

12/20 If you like a…read moreMumu hotpot like experience but with an AYCE itinerary; this is a spot one cannot miss out on! Location: located in Daly City and next door to a Seafood City (the Filipino HMart). The strip mall-esque location is unassuming in a residential alcove, but perhaps that's why it's a hidden gem. When: we chose to dine in right as the doors opened at 11:30AM, I believe we arrived right after 11:40AM to a nearly empty restaurant. While the restaurant did fill up after 12PM for the lunch rush - service and offerings were very ample. The Welcome: a blend of glass, black furnishings along with Chinese tea decorations; the restaurant itself, while not vast - one can be seated at a table or at a booth with shared/individual pots, in addition to shared barbecue plate. Service: one of the draws for my friend (multiple visits), and myself as 1st timer; service was not only consistent, frequent, but also friendly. 10 minute increments with up to 9 items delivered by a robot and then placed onto our table by hand, broths and beverages refilled, and waiters checking on tables if anything is needed; showed a deep level of attentiveness and caring-ness. The food: while a table cannot do both barbecue and hot pot at the same time - hot pot can be enjoyed from a shared pot, a non-shared individual pot and something I have never seen (non-shared individual split half and half pots). My party & I: - non-shared individual split half and half: tomato/sukiyaki , I don't remember the other two pots, but that we each enjoyed our pots. - Just to name a few: Wagyu, pork belly, lobster balls, seafood platter, lamb, multiple cuts of beef, chicken wings, beef tripe & tendon, enoki mushrooms, fried bao with condensed milk, grilled sticky rice with brown sugar, etc. I cannot name all of what was ordered, but know that we left extremely full. Final Thoughts: $30.99 pre-tax for 1 (weekend pricing) is a steal for all you can eat in the Bay Area, and is an amazing deal for quality food and excellent service.

Pros: the Tom yum and tomato broth were both delicious and full of flavor, especially when it reduced. Someone in my group said their fries were some of the best they've had. They were crispy yet soft, hot, and moist in the center. The Chinese fried donut was also a big hit. The sauce bar selection is large and well stocked. There is also a self serve veggies, tofu, and noodle section. Cons: the quality of the beef belly and wagyu were both severely lacking. Every order comes with 2 pieces, so we had to place over 10 orders to have a reasonable amount for one round of meat. The lamb and pork belly were both a lot better.

It's AYCE and located near the beach by a little shopping area in Pacifica. Beautiful area. The hosts greeted us with their great smile and sat us down right away. We chose the BBQ pot (half bbq to grill your meats and soup like shabu). I had the coconut pork bone soup and my hubby had the mushroom soup. Both were very tasty and the spice was spot on. They had a variety of meat choices and yes prime beef ribeye! You can either grill it or drop it on your soup. You can also create your condiments to dip your grilled meats. The rib eye, beef belly, pork belly were my favorites. You can tell the meats were of high quality and were fresh. You only need to grill the rib eye medium rare and wow it's amazingly delicious!!! Also they have a wide variety of appetizer, vegetable, seafood, tofu, I can go on! The Kalbi ribs as one of the appetizer was one of the best Kalbi I ever had. The marinate was sooo yummy and the meat was tender! The service was also amazing! They checked on us constantly and our orders came so quickly, it was unbelievable. Yes we were stuffed and happy! The green tea ice cream at the end cleansed our palette and it was a great dessert to end the meal. Afterwards we walked a few steps and the view of the beach was mesmerizing! This place is one of the best grilled and shabu place I have ever been. Wish we had one like this in SF, but the scenic drive to Pacifica is worth coming here. Mark this restaurant in your bucket list as a must try. You will not regret it!

Our reservation was at 7pm and the restaurant started to fill up. It's not that big inside, but they also have a few tables outside. Each person had their own burner, but since I was sitting at the end, I had to share it with my mom. Not a big deal since I always like the broth that she ordered. All of us ordered half hot pot/skillet, so we can enjoy both types of cooking. I liked that one person was in charge of ordering for their group to minimize confusion and multiple orders. The food came out quickly for us to cook. I really enjoyed the New Zealand Lamb and all the vegetables. I wasn't a big fan of the sauces that we were able to customize at the sauce station since they were just normal Asian sauces. Overall a great place to come for AYCE. The price was also reasonable - $41.99 per person for 90 minutes. There is free parking available since it's located in a plaza. Our family had a great time which is all that matters.

First time experiencing 90% of the food was already in skewers, so basically you just have to dip them in the soup base you choose. You were able to choose 2 soup base and we chose the House special and sauerkraut broth. I personally like the sauerkraut more. I love how they marinated the meat not too flavorful and they have a section where the meat is marinated with mild spice. I like spicy food myself so I like the flavor. If you cannot take spicy, they have a section on the menu where you can choose the non marinated meat. They have 4 different kinds to choose from: Ribeye Roll, supreme beef roll, New Zealand Lamb, black tripe. All their meat is pretty fresh for their price. There is a variety selection for vegetables too and drinks not included! Sauce is also self serve just like a lot of other hotpot places. I'm happy that they have fermented bean sauce, black vinegar and roasted sesame because those are always my Togo sauce to make for hotpot! Service was excellent and always check up on us on what we need! Inside isn't small or big but very neat and love the decorations on the wall. Overall, I would definitely go back soon!

An update to my previous review…read more.. Now they no longer include the fancy lobster/scallop/handmade fish paste in the dinner (at least, I didn't get that this time). But instead, they now have the hot food buffet during the dinner. The fruits, desserts, and seaweed salad are now moved to the buffet section too. So the food on the conveyor belts are just the hotpot toppings. I just want to say... the chicken wings and the sweet and sour pork are really good. I know I come here for hotpot. I should be loading up sliced meat and veggie - my healthy cheat meal. But as a chicken wings addict, I got distracted. Their fried chicken wings are similar to the San Tung's chicken wings but they are the non-spicy version. I got two pieces to try. Oh man, I know I was in trouble after taking the first bite. The wings were perfectly crispy and juicy inside. The sauce was pretty good. And then I tried their sweet and sour pork. The meat was juicy and tender. Even though they were under the heat lamp, I still got a bit of crunch from the coating and their sweet and sour sauce was just perfect. I know the hot food buffet supposedly are distractions so that we would eat less meat. I should have ignored them. But dang, they put out pretty decent Chinese food over there. I end up ate a dozen of their wings and a plate of sweet and sour pork ... I broke the Asian's rule of making my money worth at AYCE hotpot T^T But they were so tasty that I truly enjoyed them throughout the night. Service was a bit lacking tonight. I feel like they were a bit understaffed. I miss the aunties who often swing by at the tables to check on our soup level. But the owner stepped in and fulfilled our requests quickly when we asked for refills :) So don't hesitate to raise your hand and ask for refill if the night gets busy. This is not the fancy hipster hotpot place. But this place always has a sweet spot in my heart. Plus, where else you can catch an NBA game while having hotpot on a Friday night? :D

I remembered hearing about Round N Round Pot and realized it was the perfect time to try it. I called ahead to check the wait, and the owner was incredibly nice and even saved a seat for me and my partner. Right away, it gave off an amazing first impression. When we arrived, I didn't expect it to be a conveyor belt hot pot at first, but it totally makes sense given the restaurant's name. FOOD: 7/10 SERVICE: 9/10 AMBIANCE: 8/10 FOOD: 7/10 The conveyor belt setup had ingredients ranging from fresh vegetables and seafood to meats constantly passing by, so you can grab what you want. The broth options were solid (we ordered tomato-based soup), and the meat portions are generous when you order from the server. There's also a sauce bar where you can mix your own flavors, which is super helpful for customizing each bite. What shocked me the most was the extensive amount of hot bar food as well. The walnut shrimp was our favorite. For dessert, there is a soft-serve station or a fridge full of different flavored jello, such as taro or red bean. SERVICE: 9/10 The staff was friendly and attentive. They checked in frequently to refill broth, bring more meat, or make sure you were good. Even though a lot is going on with the conveyor belt, they manage to keep things smooth and helpful. AMBIANCE: 8/10 The vibe is casual and a place made for gathering. Booth seating feels cozy, and the conveyor belt system works great. Extra notes: Located inside a plaza, there are normally parking spots.
