Very extensive assortment of items! We went for a weekend lunch and it was fairly busy, but there are plenty of tables so we did not have to wait. I should have taken more pictures because I think this buffet has some of the most variety I have seen in a while. There are multiple sections including dim sum, Korean BBQ, malatang, sushi, and more standard Chinese dishes like orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, fried rice, and chow mein. There was also so much seafood, including clams, oysters, crab legs, and even abalone soup. Overall, the restaurant is very spacious and I think it is worth it for the variety alone. This location is iconic but I've seen buffets come and go here so I really wasn't expecting anything special. The entrance is a lot nicer than I remember. Once you walk inside the seating area and the food layouts are basically the same as the previous buffets. They have a little bit of everything. Dim sum station, you'd think they'd have Har Gow or Siu Mai, nope. Although I didn't try it, The build your own hot spot station looked pretty good. They had other Asian foods, like fried rice, chow mein, steamed fish, pork chops, beef and broccoli, green beans, chicken wings, grilled chicken, fried shrimp, and sushi. Out of everything I tried, the only thing that I really enjoyed was the spicy pork. Everything else was just ok. I have to be honest about the sushi bar. Although it looks appealing, it wasn't good. Most of the sushi rolls are basically the same California roll with different toppings. The deep fried rolls were ok. The salmon nigiri was not fresh and had no salmon flavor. If you have allergies to things like gluten, Shellfish, soy. I'd classify this place as a nightmare. I saw one of the workers at the buffet line use the same spoon for 7-8 difference dishes. So cross contamination obviously isn't a concern to them. And I'm certain they use the same food surfaces/tools to prep/cook everything. So if you have severe allergies, I wouldn't even try. For everything I tried, I'm surprised that I didn't get sick or an upset stomach. Overall the food was just ok. I think what I enjoyed the most is the amount of choices you have. My guy and I were on a search for a good seafood buffet while in San Francisco, since we couldn't go to Supreme Crab (see review for details), and found this gem, Daly Buffet. When you walk in, it's very clean, well decorated, and has a cute instagramable wall for pics with your family/friends/date that is just too cute 4.8/5... and they're ready for large crowd, with automated machines ready to dish out numbers. Luckily it was a week day and we stopped in for dinner. The staff is very friendly, and didn't give our service dog any kind. They treated him as the extension of his human that he is, and that's awesome! Also, staff cleaning up and putting out food were quick and if you blinked you'd miss them! 5/5 for service Now on to the food! I'm not quite sure how this place has such a low rating. The sushi was decent and the sashimi served ice cold, I loved the kimchi, raw oysters, and cold mussels 4.6/5 for cold foods. Was happy to learn that an Asian buffet had return to the location. If memory serves correctly it was Todai, MC Skewer and Kome--all of which were buffets. Ever since Kome closed down I was hoping something would return in this post-pandemic era. Enter Daly Buffet. WOOOH!!!! My party of six arrived at 11:00 am on a Friday and it was already packed. They had rows of food like sushi , seafood , chow mein, and lots of deserts. Today's buffet landscape in SF is centered around one type of food and it's usually has a time limit. Currently you have to go out of San Francisco County to try a bigger buffet experience. So I had to go next door to San Mateo County and went to a place which was a buffet place called Kome . It's now called Daly Buffet in Daly City on Junipero Serra. Outside of San Francisco I landed in Daly City at Daly Buffet on the boulevard of Junipero Serra. There are lots of tables and the wait can be 30 minutes when I arrived for lunch. Inside there is hella food. You will find everything from sushi, noodles, ice cream, and dim sum . You can also find different types of fruits and also seafood. They have quantity and the food is fresh but it won't win any Michelin awards. Like most buffets it has a time limit and it's 90 minutes. Come here for Brunch or Dunch if you have an appetite. Compared to most buffets i'm used to, this place def has a lottt of food that I enjoyed. It's better than the buffet who used to be in this place. I went for the lunch pricing of $26. I felt like this was really worth it. They have sushi, a good selection of protein and seafood, fried food, soup, dim sum, and around 6 kinds of dessert. I've been here several times with my family before. We usually go here for dinner, but I've been here for lunch once. There's usually a 30 minute wait if you go here during dinner hours, but if you go here for lunch then there's not much of a wait. This buffet has a large variety of food, but they don't always have the same items everyday. Like, I noticed sometimes they have the chocolate fountain and sometimes they don't. The chocolate fountain is actually one of my favorite parts about this buffet, so it's sad on the days it's not there. Other than the chocolate fountain, I do like how they have a drink section with both fountain and bottled drinks and how there's a teppanyaki grill, and noodles section too! I'd recommend this place for dinner! I prefer the dinner hours since they have more seafood items or just more items that I like. read more

I came with my mom today, and her senior price was $24.49, which is a nice discount. She was satisfied with the food. Food-wise, it's a mixed experience. The hot dishes are mostly either very spicy, heavily fried, or covered in sauce, which tends to mask the natural flavor of the meat, not really my preference. There's also a selection of dim sum, desserts, fruits, and sushi (though I skipped the sushi since it didn't look very appetizing). The drink options are fairly varied, which is a plus. One thing to note: the bathroom floor was very slippery. There was a yellow caution sign, but I do wish they would address the issue more thoroughly rather than just relying on a warning. Meats were all gone because people kept taking more than allowed. Only thing that was fresh there were fruits and their oysters. Those items kept getting restocked. The soup area was just ok, the broth was VERY salty but better than all the foods that were provided. Skip the dim sum unless u are there during opening so it's fresh. Asian centered buffet in Daly City at what I think used to be Todai back in the day, located next to Century Theaters. There is a huge parking garage connected to the building for parking. Attended a party here where they reserved the back dining room which was nice, they had TVs and they provided tables for our gifts and favors. Service was great; this is an all Asian buffet with Japanese, sushi and sashimi, soups, make your own mala tang, choose your own meats to bbq, tons of Chinese food, frogs legs, dim sum, you name it! They have a fridge where you can get your own bottled drinks too. Tons of dessert and ice cream! Good bang for your buck, the only thing is if you're allergic to seafood. We had some people at our party that was allergic to seafood so make your own mala tang you had to be careful because of the contamination of seafood items to make or throw into the soup. My friend got soup but found a clam so she couldn't eat it and had to be very careful. Lots of parties for a Saturday, my friend said if you didn't get the private room to bring balloons or something to decorate or note where your area is yours. read more

We saw this on social media so wanted to check it out. Parking was very easy, we parked at the garage next door. The buffet was so spacious inside, so much seating. It wasn't too busy and there was a good amount of people there on a weekday. Everything is self serve. For drinks, there's a drink station area where they have a selection of sodas, drinks in the fridge, coffee, and tea. I thought it was unique that they have a malatang station. I definitely had to check it out. It wasn't bad but it was just super salty o.o I think that they need to add more soup to make it less salty. I liked that they had potato noodles yum. I was excited to try out the clams and it was quite bland. I went to try the bbq station where they cook the meat for you. I got the short ribs and ribeye. The short ribs were very sweet and fatty. I could only eat one and the ribeye was just ok. It was quite thin and it was a bit overcooked. I liked that they had a dark chocolate fondue station and a self serve packaged ice cream area. I thought I got a bad packaged ice cream since it was very mushy. I just took it out of the fridge, but I checked out the other ones in the fridge and it was the same as well. We were seated in the large room toward the back, where there were 8 or 9 large tables. The first thing I went for was the sushi station. I got two pieces of salmon nigiri and a couple of pieces of California rolls. The salmon was fresh and didn't look dry, which was a plus. Next, I tried some of the hot vegetable dishes. I had the broccoli, green beans, and mixed lotus root slices. I was surprised they didn't have a station serving roast duck, roast pork, and chicken. Another thing I tried was the DIY stir-fry station, where I selected some noodles and extra cabbage. It was delicious and not too salty, which I liked. I didn't try much else because I was already full. They also have a drink area with a variety of canned and bottled beverages available, in addition to fountain drinks. Parking is not an issue because the restaurant is located right next to a parking lot. I will definitely come back to try some of the other items. It was my first time dining at Daly Buffet and it was a pleasant surprise. We had our club function here with 51 senior over 65 adults. We were given the back room which we took over 6 tables for 8 to 9 people at each table. We had reservations at 11:00am when the food was fresh. Parking was very easy in the lot. I was looking forward to some sashimi but they only had nigiri. There was also no ha gaw or sui mai. I was impressed that there was a beverage station that offered bottled water, bottled tea, fountain drinks and coffee. There was also individual containers of ice cream - vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Some of our people made root beer or Coke Floats. Onto the food. The pig trotters needed to be cooked Longer. The chicken feet were excellent. They even had tripe in the dim sum area. The black lava bun was nice and had some egg yolk custard in it. There was some fresh lychee - very juicy. Their naw mai fon or sticky rice was delicious. The small little tamale had some red bean mixed with rice. The cost per person for this luncheon which is offered Monday to Friday was $26.99. With tax and tip it was a total of $30.14 per person. I was happy with my lunch. One more thing - the WiFi sucks. There is no internet so you cannot even check in when you get there. read more

I recommend you take a walk around the dining room first to peruse the options before you start piling on food on your plate so that you can manage your selections for what your tummy can hold. On the hot cooked foods, I enjoyed the Chinese style BBQ pork ribs, the prawns in shells, fried frog legs with lotus roots, fried chicken wings & drum sticks, snow crab legs, & steamed clams. The snails were too hard to remove from their shells. I skipped the pizza, dim sum, chow mein and fried rice. On the sushi tables, the sashimi was alright but some of the fish had some chewy parts I spit out. Lots of sushi rolls and nigiri to choose from. They have a Mongolian BBQ area where you can pick your meat. They also have a Mala Tang counter where you pick your ingredients and soup base. The fruit counter had several options in using lychees, cantaloupe & honeydew among other fruits. There is another dessert table with marshmallows on sticks to dip in a chocolate fountain, different cakes (coconut, lemon, chocolate mocha), different flavor jellos in little cups, & cookies. Custard tarts are on the cooked foods side of the room. Ice cream cups are near the drink room and come in chocolate, strawberry & vanilla. The drink room offers sodas either from the fountain or canned in the fridge, ice tea bottles, bottle water, hot tea & coffee. Good service and lots of attentive staff that will assist you with any questions and clear your table if dirty plates while you go get a new plate for more food. Daly Buffet was full at 1pm on a Monday. $32 w/service charge and tax for lunch. It is nice to see Daly City getting a buffet again. The food isn't great. A lot of stuff are missing at lunch like snow crab and short ribs. The items I did like are fountain drinks, prawn crackers, malatang soup station and stir fry station. The rest are forgettable, but at least it is all you can eat. Do you remember when Kome got hit with massive fines for wage theft and tax evasion in 2019? Then the owners rebranded it as The One. Kome used to have this coupon system where you can get 1/2 of a weird looking lobster at dinner. They also had this wonton soup station and peking duck. read more
