Outside is really unkept and needs a solid refreshing from the building owner / property manager.
Jeff W.

I'm rounding up from a 2.5 star rating. I haven't been here since COVID hit, so maybe 5 years, and King Sun has gone downhill a lot unfortunately. This was one of my favorites before but now, while I can still eat here and the food was ok, the restaurant itself is just worn and I can't help but think there's something wrong somewhere. Let's just start with the outside. If I was not familiar with this area, I would drive right past this place. It is so rundown - the building is worn, the paint is fading, and the parking lot has weeds everywhere. There are cars parked here, but since it's next to a hotel, you begin to wonder if the cars that are parked are for the restaurant or for the hotel. The windows are blacked out as they have sunshade film on them. The afternoon sun goes straight into the windows. Going to the inside, it is dark. Looking at the ceiling, you see water spots everywhere. They used to have a good luck at the entrance, but unfortunately that's no longer there. Maybe they need to bring it back. We were seated at a window booth, and our drink order is taken. There are food scraps underneath all the tables. They need to vacuum or clean after people eat. Then we went to get our food. The grill that used to be in back is now a noodle bar. The rest of the food area is the same where there are multiple steam areas to keep the food warm. As this is buffet, there's a ton of food sitting out. The freshest food seems to be the dim sum, fish, and chickens. I got crab and shrimp as I like seafood. The shrimp was a little bit overcooked. I think that's because it was sitting out for a bit. Same with the crab. There are some pieces that were just dry. I also got some mussel and fish, both of which were moist and very fresh. A lot of the food items didn't even have signs. They should really do a better job at that. I ate some meat that looked like frogs legs, but they weren't clearly labeled. If you've never seen frog legs before you probably wouldn't even know. That being said, it was really really dry. Chicken was good as was the dim sum and soups. Chow mein and fried rice were good. The staff was wonderful. They came and checked on us frequently, and when we finished using a plate, someone came by to pick it up very quickly. Would I come back? I'm not sure. I have my favorite foods that I can find here, but the preparation is not consistent in my opinion.

A buffet my family go to but decided to go on my own. I was working in the area and just wanted a quick bite to eat. Cheap chinese all you can eat buffet $18.99 per adult. Seafood, sushi, chinese dishes and american. They also have a bbq station, fruit, dessert and best of all, Ice cream machine. Do not expect too much and have an iron stomach. Decent deal.

Tried King Sun Buffet because of the low price, but honestly, you get what you pay for. Everything on the buffet was dry and tasted old. Nothing was fresh, and the texture of most dishes was just unpleasant. Even the desserts were disappointing. Not worth the money, even if it's cheap Service is alright they come clean your table often Ambiance is old

My biggest gripe from past visits was the lack of ventilation, which for a charcoal grill kbbq can really make or break the experience, but it seems that they've worked on ventilation and it's not as stuffy. We had a reservation at 6:30, and we were sat really quickly, and had banchan ready for us at the table. I'm not too picky with meat quality, but I did enjoy the selection, but keep in mind each portion is pretty small, which can be nice if you're looking to try a wide variety of meats. We decided to stick with the regular menu, and we were happy with the selections. The service here was excellent! They were extremely attentive and quick to check on us and refill our water and meats. We tried to reorder galbi, but didn't know we were limited to one per person for the menu we chose, but they brought out extra on the house which we really appreciated! It seems that they've improved dining experience here, and look forward to visiting again in the future!

I found this place on TikTok and decided to give it a try--and I'm so glad we did! They have their own parking, which is already a plus. As soon as we walked in, I loved the ambiance and the interior--it felt warm and inviting. When I looked at the menu, everything sounded so delicious that it was hard to choose. For appetizers, we ordered the chicharon bulaklak and squid balls--both were amazing, especially when dipped in vinegar. For our main dishes, we had nilagang baka, and the broth and meat were incredibly flavorful and comforting. The garlic fried rice was perfect, and the chicken inasal was absolutely delicious--marinated so well and cooked just right. We also ordered halang-halang na manok and ginatang crispy pata to go, and I can't wait to enjoy them at home. To top it all off, the server gave us free leche flan, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and I will definitely come back!

This dish changed my life, the pork was so savory and it had small chopped up pieces of a spicy green pepper. I can't recommend it more! This place is kind of a hole in the wall with its self proclaimed "Texas BBQ" and location. Parking can be tough if the parking lot is full, and I wish they picked a better spot to open this shop. It's off the beaten path for most Chinese restaurants in the area. The prices for BBQ aren't exactly cheap, however that can all be mitigated since they offer AYCE at a price starting at $35 a person with drinks. I love their lamb skewers and chinese hamburger. Lamb skewers were seasoned to how I expected them - with a spice mix mainly consisting of cumin. I also like how they include a fatty piece just before the last piece, which is They also offer spicy powder on the side that you can shake on your order to make it more spicy. The Chinese hamburger was very flavorful and authentic and very cheap for the price - much more value than ANY fast food restaurant and a lot healthier! We also ordered a liangpi and cumin chicken, both which were decent. This place offers very fair prices for chinese BBQ if you consider AYCE, since I have yet been to a chinese BBQ place that offers AYCE. Food comes out pretty quickly, and service is welcoming, especially if you're familiar with northern chinese hospitality. If you can look past the fading decor, colored utensils, and overall hole in the wall vibe, this place is actually pretty good if you're from northern china and looking for a homely vibe! Just don't expect Texas BBQ even if its in the name.

The fried bread was bland, the meat had little to no flavor, and there was far too much lettuce. The beef and broccoli was dry and also lacked flavor. The fried rice was the worst dish we tried, even after asking for soy sauce (and only receiving three packets), it didn't improve. There were a few highlights: the dumplings were good, and the egg rolls were just okay, though they had an odd flavor I couldn't quite identify. It was some kind of spice or herb. The General Tso's chicken and garlic orange chicken were both solid, and the chow mein was decent. Ordering was frustrating. Several items we wanted--the pineapple beef, shaking beef, and Kung Pao chicken--were all unavailable. We also tried to order a pineapple soju, but they didn't have it, so we settled for peach instead. The decor was nice, but the dining experience felt lacking. Food was served in to-go containers with paper plates, cups, and plastic cutlery, which took away from the experience. There was also a language barrier with our waiter, which made communication difficult--especially when asking questions about the menu or trying to place our order since the QR code system wasn't working. OVERALL, not an experience we would repeat.
