No more fishing pier in pacifica, no problem, Grand HotPot will forever be there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Always foggy and gloomy when we visit but once tummy is filled with food, be cold no more.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We parked and was seated immediately. First thing first, beverage spread selected, then ordered everything by marking them on the paper menu. Now the waiting game, not too long, and everything slowly comes out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Luckily these tables are big, otherwise, will need a side table to put all dishes on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We did good this time and actually had room for ice cream, this is a first and definitely not last. Any reason to be near Pacifica, a visit to grand hotpot is a must

I have to say this was the best hot pot place I had been to in the Bay Area. Large selection of food including made to order Shanghai dumplings and the tasty onion pancakes, good quality meat, vegetables and seafood, many choices of soup base for hot pot, ayce ice cream (red bean, green tea, mango and sesame) and drinks. Very clean, good service, reasonable price. They also have happy hours! I sure will be back again!

AYCE hot pot. Weekdays are the best. 12 to 3, $25.99. All you can drink. Lillikoi, Mr. Brown coffee, grass jelly, and other flavors. Given a sheet and check what you want. Be careful, order what you can eat. We tend to go overboard. Everything was fresh. Up to 2 soup selections. Favorites: black fungus, fish balls with roe, taro, liver, tripe, napa cabbage, fish, lamb, tofu, etc. Skip veggie dumplings, herbal chicken feet, Shanghai dumplings - all this will fill you up. Help yourself to sauce station and ice cream station with black sesame, mango, green tea, and red bean. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Fast service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Private rooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will be back to bring others!

I'm already thinking about the next time we go back and I don't even live in the area Our friends brought us here for the first time, they mentioned they love this place and after trying it we understand! We were able to go just in time for their happy hour after 9pm. We got 4 different broths, sides, beef, tofu and veggies! The portions are VERY generous so if you're a couple, choose wisely cause it's A LOT. Love that the rice is unlimited and you serve it yourself as well as sauces, drinks and dessert. I wish I had the room to eat more but I just couldn't do it anymore, sadly. I've been to hot pot before a few times and I feel like this one was so easy to follow and order compared to other places. Can't wait to come back some day!

If you're craving hot pot, this is a spot that will bring you back to basics and fill you up! Located in a strip mall in Pacifica, there's plenty of parking and shops/Safeway in the same plaza. We went for lunch on Veteran's Day (which happens to be my aunt's birthday) close to opening time, and there was no wait. You order what you want by marking the paper, and the food comes out quick. Its family style, and you share 1 big pot at your table with up to 2 flavors. Because we came with a group of 4 and it was my aunt's birthday, she got to eat free! They have a solid selection of vegetables, meats, seafoods, and some ready-cooked appetizers. Dome more-expensive seafood/meat items are only available during dinner. They also have a drink fridge for you to have a soda/tea while dining! Overall, a very solid spot to fulfill that craving!

Recommend coming during happy hour as it is $10 less than dinner. However, there are some dinner only items which you'd miss out on. There are many options such as beef, pork, lamb, seafood, variety of vegetables, noodles, broths, and appetizers

The service here is a hit or miss but we keep coming back because my family really likes this place. The menu is not super big but it's not small either. There's a good variety. The all you can drink adds a nice touch to the meal. If you show your ID on your exact birthday, you get a free meal!

This is my family's and I favorite hotpot place. We've been going here for a couple of years now and the service and food has been consistently amazing. My favorite thing about this restaurant is the wide selection of sauces you can combine, the fruit section, and the ice cream section. We usually get the house original, house spicy, or house satay. They're all pretty good and not too salty. One thing we never not get is the walnut shrimp! Every time we've been here it's a MUST for us. Not too much batter, crispy, good amount of sauce and walnuts too! It usually gets really busy starting at 7 pm, especially on the weekends so be prepared to wait.

We came for Sunday late lunch and it was not too busy. Agree with what others said, it is Chinese spicy so be careful when you ask for spicy. You get two soup base per table of 4, this is the only downside I can think of here as we have people that doesn't eat meat or food allergy and can't use the same soup base. They have tons of beverage and cooked food you can pick from.

Did AYCE hotpot and karaoke with a big group in the VIP room and it ended up around $57 per person plus tip & tax. Incredible fun experience and love that there were so many options of side dishes on top of the meat and seafood options. They included alcohol as well (sake, beer, wine) so this price seems like a total steal!! Because we were the last group of the night they even gave us an extra hour of karaoke which was super nice! The service was really quick and though they did forget some things we ordered it wasn't a big deal and they brought it right away when we mentioned it! Definitely will be back.

The meat was good , I love the Beef Belly and shrimps. There were many choices and everything was fresh and delicious. The noodles were not soggy and it maintained its bite even though we overcooked it. The beverages are so good, lots of choices and they have my favorite Coca Cola. They had 4 different flavors of ice cream for dessert. The service was slow we were in a Karaoke room and they did not check us for our orders. We really had to call the servers for attention. The Karaoke selection were limited and they did not have a lot of Pilipino Songs.

It's been too long sInce I've been back here. The quality seems to have improved since the last time I was here. I ordered frog legs too and they were even better than I remembered. We use the house soup for heating the meat and vegetables. The portions also seemed to have improved too. I find restaurants that stay in business tend to either get lose their focus and cut costs and skimp over time or they improve and innovate over time, in this case this hot pot restaurant improved and has gotten a very loyal following. Not bad for a restaurant when you heat your own meal.

Do yall hot pot for vegetarians ? What are the options and items that yall offer N price pls

Their options and items are shown in the yelp photos menu Price were 35.99$ per person at night

    Free AYCE on your birthday?

Yes, but you need to show your ID, and eat with a table of 4+ people.

Do they charge a 9 month old infant? If yes, how much? I saw a one star review saying they charge $12.50 per toddler under 2

    No charge for infants!

    Do they serve alcohol?

Yes, at least I know they have beer and sake.

Is there a minimum charge for the karaoke room?

I think there is an additional $5 per person? on top of the price.

If I come in at 10:30 - 10:45pm will they still allow us to dine in? I'm trying to see late night hotpot places. We're arriving SFO at 9:45pm from a domestic flight. I don't want to arrive at your place and be disappointed.

You might want to call them to confirm the time for last seating as it only has little over one hour of dinning time.

Do you still eat for free on the actual day of your birthday if you have 4 or more people?

    Yes! (as of 03/01/2024).

Is there a charge for a child under 2 years old?

No, my boy went there at 3 and they didn't charge him.

Do I have to make reservations for a birthday?

If you are booking one of the karaoke rooms you should definitely call and make a reservation.

How long do you have the karaoke room for (vip room)? I remember it was 3 hours when I went last but it says 90 minutes on the recent photos. Is the 90 minutes only for food/ drinks but you still have the full 3 hours for karaoke?

Yes...90 minutes for food and 3 hrs for karaoke...but start at the same time.

What hotpot soup base do you list recommend? Is it possible to get small taste of them in order to make a decision? And does the whole table have to share the same one?

I don't think they will let you taste (too hectic), but I've never thought of asking. I like the mushroom one because it's plain, so that you can taste the meats. They have a bunch that's spicy, which I don't eat. It depends on the size of your…

Do we need to make a reservation?

If you plan on getting a private room, I would recommend you make a reservation.

For birthday lunch, how many guests I need to bring with me to qualify a free lunch?

There should be 4 in your group to qualify :)

Do the Karaoke rooms have a good collection of English songs?

    Yes

Is there broth choices and options for vegans here, one of my friends is one and was curious if it was worth it for him?

Do we get individual pots of liquid at the table or are these communal pots to dip your meat in per table? Post Covid this sounds a bit strange?

There are several (3?) places to put pots on the table. Each pot can be a 50/50 pot. So the answer is communal, but limited - seating for 10 and at most 6 different bases.…

    Do you allow pets?

    No. It's all indoor dining.

Where do you get your yummy ice cream from?

Whose their supplier or ?? There's a self serve freezer as you walk in on the right, you scoop your own.

Do they accept reservations if it's for 5 people lunch?

    Yes

    Is outdoor dining available again?

no there is not, but you can rent the room for extra $5.00 per person. I think if you have a large party. We had 12ppl.

I personally like to come here more for the hot pot option. FOOD: 9/10 An ample amount of options to choose from, including appetizers, drinks, meats, vegetables, seafood, noodles, and more. My go-to orders are always the tomato-based soup, brisket, Chinese donut, and homemade biang biang noodles, which, in my opinion, are a MUST! For dessert, no matter how full I am, I always gotta go for the fried buns with condensed milk. Their Thai Tea is also creamy and good! I love how they don't skimp on the milk. The sauce bar is great and has a lot of toppings and sauces to create your own hot pot dipping sauce concoction. My go-to is ponzu, sesame paste, hella garlic, chili oil, hella cilantro, and green onions. You already know. They serve a complimentary scoop of ice cream! They normally have 2-3 flavors to choose from. I always go for the green tea for the most part. SERVICE: 8/10 Staff is always quick, efficient, attentive, and nice! AMBIANCE: 9/10 Indoor and outdoor seating are available. I love how they have good-sized tables inside whether you're dining solo, with a small group, or with a big party. I also love that they still have their COVID shields. Why? I don't know. A little extra sanitary measure wouldn't hurt anyone, so why not? If you sit outside, they also have outdoor heaters, which is always a plus.

It was about 6pm on a Saturday and we luckily got seated, but larger parties started coming in within the hour. - PARKING - Lots of spots around the plaza area! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - You can sit outside or inside, but since it was a little windy that night, we opted to sit inside. They put us in the middle between two parties but we didn't mind. The tables have screens that help with the airflow of the stoves. You mark down everything you want on the menu paper, and then give it to the staff. Once they get your order in, they'll wipe off the menu paper and you can continue to order that way. - FOOD - We all got the half BBQ, half hot pot option. It's definitely a unique experience that you can't find everywhere, so I'm glad we got to try it! I got the mild spicy of the signature soup, but I think if I were to ever come back I'd probably get something without spice as it got to be a bit much with the veggies! The meat quality is pretty decent here as well, and I liked the variety of sides you can get here. - OVERALL - A solid spot with a unique dining experience if you get the half and half option!

Our favorite meats on the grill were the short ribs, garlic pork belly, and garlic brisket. Everything was fresh including the garlic. For the Hot Pot you grab items right off the revolving conveyor belt. Besides everything else (noodles, seafood, veg, and things we'd never seen) we managed to snag a bunch of tiger shrimp. The conveyor spins clockwise and we were at 1 o'clock, so before anyone else had a chance, those were in our bowls or on our plates - selfish for sure, but it still counts as a win. Drinks & Extras: All the starters and mains were delicious. (Though honestly, skip the desserts--those were pretty sub-par, but you're not here for dessert anyway!) But beware - the soju pitcher looks like a carafe of water. I poured a big glass and took a big gulp. It was a "bit" of a surprise. Water has a green lid. Lol. Our server was top-notch! He was super attentive, changed our griddle grill frequently, bussed dishes quickly, and brought out meat rounds as fast as we could ask for them. He even helped cook a few items on our behalf. Service like that made it easy to leave a well-deserved cash tip. Overall we had a fantastic lunch experience and will definitely be back, to try the dinner menu. For only $9 more for dinner, the Wagyu on there is definitely going to dominate my plate. I just need to get there as soon as dinner begins so they can figure out how to roll me out....

They have a huge selection of quality meats, seafood, vegetables, mushrooms, handmade meatballs,…read morenoodles, and other hot pot essentials. The split broth was a nice option, we ordered both the spicy Sichuan broth and the tomato broth and the coconut chicken broth (use coconut water lol. The spicy side packed plenty of heat and numbing flavor, while the Coconut chicken broth adds sweetness to anything you put in to cook with. Pouring fresh coconut water directly into the broth, which added a subtle sweetness and made for a fun tableside experience. Service was attentive, ingredients took a bit to come out but the sauce bar was a good distraction!! Overall great food and experience and definitely will come back if I'm in the area!

No wait on a Saturday at 7:30pm! They give you an iPad to order from so there's not much staff…read moreinteraction. Al la carte ordering here. We decided to get the split soup base with their house spicy and fish maw broth. Both were flavorful and I liked that I wasn't extremely thirsty after the meal !! Menu is pretty extensive with a lot of different combinations to choose. Between 2 people, we got the beef and lamb platter (very aesthetic but would have liked to try more variety meats), beef tongue, and mixed veggies. Meats were thin and pretty good quality. They also have a self serve appetizer and sauce bar. Tripe and cucumbers were cold and refreshing but also spicy which I enjoyed. I didn't realize their standard of spicy is higher than normal, especially with the peppercorns in the broth but still good. Overall, clean modern place but just a little on the pricey side
