There is also the option to reserve a private room that includes karaoke. I will say if you sit near the karaoke rooms, you will hear the people inside singing. So, if that bothers you, I'd request a table further from that side of the restaurant. The staff is so nice and very efficient. After ordering, expect food to come out within MINUTES. Our friend reserved a private room for 12 people on a Friday night. We were supposed to be in a private karaoke room where you can eat hot pot at the same time. Unfortunately, Lewis did not save the reservation despite phone and email confirmation. (We were told not to make reservations with him in the future.) However, Bosco was extremely patient and helpful. Despite a booked restaurant, he found us a table for our large group, and he let us take the first available karaoke room after. The broth is pretty flavorful - we got split pots of the house spicy, house original, tom yum and spicy miss. We ordered lamb, pork belly, thin sliced beef, tripe, tiger prawns, shrimp, tofu, noodles and mixed veggies. The tempura shrimp and honey shrimp appetizers were group favorites. The house spicy had a good layer of oil and Szechuan peppercorns so it made your mouth numb. The tonkatsu was rich and had a nice white pepper taste to it. After ordering, within 5 minutes, we got most of the orders and got into eating. While this isn't the best meat you'll ever have, you get a lot of what you want specifically and unlimited amounts. He then decides to throw a fit saying we should have told them in the beginning as they bringing out portions for the whole party. We said it was fine, we will pay instead of it being an issue. It was empty when we arrived, but by 6:15 pm, it had filled up quickly. The interior has a traditional Chinese restaurant vibe, and they offer private karaoke rooms. The seating options include bench seats for 4 or round tables with two pots that accommodate 6-8 people. They have a solid selection of appetizers, cold dishes, and non-hotpot items. The honey-glazed prawns were a standout, essentially a walnut prawn without the walnuts. The prawns were lightly coated in honey mayo, crispy on the outside, and fresh on the inside with just the right amount of breading. I opted for the Tom Yum and Pepper Pig Stomach broths. The Tom Yum was decent but not very authentic, so I wouldn't choose it again. On the other hand, the Pepper Pig Stomach broth, which had pieces of chicken and pig stomach, was flavorful. My sugar was sinking and I needed to eat. Grand Hot Pot was nearby and I pointed the van in their direction. The parking lot in front is large and parking is easy. This was the first time that we had come here, just the two of us. It was early and there were only two other tables in use when we walked in. We marked our order sheet, hoping that we didn't order too much, but certainly wanting variety. I know now, as I look at a past review that I missed some premium items. Many of those are limited to one per person and it didn't seem to make sense to order just one Hokkaido Scallop. I also failed to order Xiao Long Bao but that was a good thing because we barely managed to finish what we had ordered. What did we get? The sliced meats were so-so. They were thinly sliced like at all other hot pot places and there was certainly enough of each, but the slices really shrank as soon as they hit the hot soup and were much chewier than I would have liked. (We have been spoiled for all Hot Pot and Shabu Shabu after having dined at another restaurant in Santa Clara. We paid truly premium prices, but we got excellent value as well.) The server mumbled as she was putting down the meats and we couldn't hear her so I've listed all the sliced meats as Unknown Meat. I had ordered some Pork but our itemized reciept showed one Beef item twice. The Beef Balls were very firm. The Lobster Balls were probably all fish. The Tiger Prawns and Fish Fillet were good. They brought us out a huge bowl of Water Cress, Napa and Spinach. The Napa was mostly small cores, no sliced up big leaves. The Spinach had a lot of stems, what I would consider filler. The Water Cress took up 1/2 the bowl. Considering that all AYCE places threaten to charge your for food waste, this would have been a perfect opportunity to fill up guests with inexpensive ingredients so they couldn't eat as much of the costlier items. But maybe I'm just a cynic. Once again, comparing it to our experience at the premium restaurant, while there were many items to make custom sauces to season our food, the quality was standard to sub-standard. The sesame one was not only nearly empty but also someone spilled water in it so did not have best experience with that. Matcha and red bean didnt have much flavor. Very crispy and flavorful Dim sum: were also surprisingly tasty. Weird that almost everything that didnt need to be in the hotpot was really tasty. Shrimp/fish paste: really soft and delicate (be very careful when using chopsticks and dont stab when using fork) even after cooking for a while. They were homemade drinks: (were with the ayce) i got milk tea, the boba (or whatever they were) were very small and dont need any chewing, you can pretty much drink it straight and with the thin straw they have. My sister got guava juice and she said it was really good (she has a sweet tooth) Wine: was surprisingly with the ayce, there were some drinks that werent free i forgot which, it was on the side if the menu labeled with prices. Soup bases: chicken feet soup base does indeed have chicken feet. My sister said she really loves the chicken feet soup base and even wishes other hotpot places have them. I was a little confused but apparently this is not all too uncommon in China and hey, why not transport that same concept to the U.S.? I just want to say that I wasn't there entirely for the karaoke but if it's part of the experience, count me in. We were assigned room #3. It was a full blown karaoke room with tiny laser dots dancing across the room (I was instinctively swatting the air all night long thinking there were gnats flying by my face) and a K-music box setup with predominately Chinese songs. Unfortunately, the room had a giant round table with cutouts for 4 hotpots. So if you were seated deep inside the booth, you're probably going to be asking for a lot of help getting this and that. A lazy Susan in the middle of the table would've been useful. I didn't do the ordering but you were allowed like 90 minutes to order but you had the room for 3 hours. The hotpot, proteins and veggies came fast and furious. I don't think we made more than 3 orders for food, and the 3rd one (cooked foods) never came. Just as well, we were stuffed. Overall, the food was very fresh, especially the meat items, were of very good quality. As expected, there was a station with a good selection of sauces for patrons to mix and concoct to their hearts content. Unexpectedly, a glass merchandiser fridge stocked with non-alcoholic beverages for self-serve, unlimited consumption. Alcohol is also included in the meu price but needed to be ordered through a staff. In addition, an ice cream station was available for self scooping. I wish there was more variety of veggies but for the price I cannot complain. It's awesome that there is a sauce bar, unlimited (non alcoholic) drinks, ice cream, and for dinner all you can drink. The honey walnut shrimp is actually very good for a AYCE place. If you think about how much a regular restaurant charges just for that dish, it's almost worth it just to come here. Food: food was good. Veggies seemed fresh and so was the beef. The pork didn't look as good as the beef so we just stuck with the beef. The beef slices were a bit too thick though, just in my opinion. I also really liked their deep fried prawns in mayonnaise sauce. Yummy. They also offered 4 flavors of ice cream for desserts which were just mediocre in my opinion. Drink: I loved the drink selection: Chinese herbal tea, chrysanthemum tea, lychee drink, boba milk tea in a can, and pop. Yes! Service: while the food was good, it came out pretty slow. Also, our party was of 9 adults and we were seated at a big table with 4 burners but somehow they insisted to allow us to use only 3 of them. When we asked if we could use the 4th burner, the waitress just said "8 dollars". We agreed to the extra cost but it didn't make sense. There were tables for 2 with one burner, so to me 4 burners for 9 people should be allowed with no extra charge. This seemed like a greedy tactic just to extract money from customers. Ambiance: from the outside it looked a bit suss but on the inside it looked quite legit - nice Chinese style wall decor and granite round tables. This place was so awesome! A group of friends got AYCE hot pot and karaoke in one of their private rooms. It was such a vibe. There were disco lights and a karaoke tablet on the wall we could pick songs from. I'm only taking a star off because one of the microphones kept dying and it was hard to queue up songs. But we generally managed and it was SO fun even with one of the mics gone lol. The hot pot itself was a 10/10 very tasty meat and so much broth to choose from! Would defs come even just for the hot pot again! But I'm a karaoke fan so most likely do that again too lol. Also loved that it was unlimited drinks as well! read more

I came here with my family and we made reservations for 10 people at 4pm on a Saturday. The reservation was for three hours and included karaoke, AYCE hot pot, unlimited drinks, and unlimited ice cream. We were led to one of the VIP rooms and were given a piece of paper to begin ordering food and drinks. There was a huge round table with 4 hot pot slots and a large TV with mics. The food was pretty standard for hot pot but one of the dishes I especially liked was surprisingly the honey walnut shrimp. There was a sauce station outside to make your custom sauce as well as a fridge with a bunch of non-alcoholic canned drinks. You have 90 minutes to order food but can sing the entire time so you should order more just in case. One thing we weren't fans of was that we put multiple orders of sake and we were only given one, and everyone was pretty sure the sake was watered down. Otherwise, the service was pretty good; they brought the food and drinks pretty quickly and helped with the karaoke system when the mics were acting up. When we left our room and went outside at 7pm, the restaurant was packed and there were tons of people waiting for a table. I'd definitely make a reservation ahead of time if you plan to come on a weekend night, but overall we had a good experience singing, eating, and drinking. read more

We have been to the Grand Hot Pot Lounge many times and we didn't know that they also have this location! We came here by accident since it was close to SFO and opened late until midnight. This location is smaller than the other one and the menu is the same as the other location and also offers karaoke room but we didn't do the karaoke room option. Lunch price is $24.99 per person and dinner price is $34.99. They offer variety of meat, vegetables, and seafood option. We also got small appetizers plate such as spring rolls, walnut prawns, crab rangoons and I think they were okay. Dinner price included beers and wines, and has more seafood options. There are a lot of non-alcoholic drinks such as sodas and juices. We pick spicy miso and mushroom soup as our soup based and it was really good! They also have sauce and ice cream stations where you can grab whatever you like. Their sauce station got all kinds of sauces you would need for hot pot. The service was good. They brought stuff out for you very fast but the servers forgot things here and there such as we asked for rice and we reminded them two times but they still managed to forget and we didn't end up getting rice. Parking is plentiful. This place was okay. The ice cream was probably the best thing they had. I had the lunch special and after taxes it came out to 35 USD. The meat is stale, it didn't absorb the soup that well, and the soup was not too flavorful. Service is also average. They will come by if you raise your hand but not proactively. Went to grand hot pot for a monthly team dinner. We had a VIP room reserved for 6 people. We had 2 pots, and each pot had a cut in the middle that totaled to 4 kinds of soup for the hotpot. We tried both the non-spicy and spicy soup. Meat was plentiful and I love that they had hot food (i.e. cream cheese rangoons) for other options. The drink options were also plentiful, mostly asian sodas and a couple of beers. The sauce options were also okay, I feel like they could have had more. The back rooms/VIP room was ok. They had a karaoke but most of the music was in chinese and some songs were kind of outdated. You have a button for service, but I don't think it was too useful, we ended up having to call someone still. Parking here is easy, they have a huge parking space outfront. Service was also okay.
