Held a friends Christmas shindig here with about 15 people in the largest room. I paid a 50$ deposit up front and 270 for 2 hours - the front desk person forgot to give me back a deposit so I had to go inside and ask, I almost completely forgot. They should have asked about it up front and took it off the room price. They have a YouTube so you could find your own karaoke versions of songs, but you're basically navigating the computer version so it can be kind of slow. The actual song choices were pretty limited. I was surprised at how little songs they had and how non-user-friendly the karaoke program was Rooms were nice but there was a huge hole in the floor that was covered by a chair in the middle of the room, it was obvious. You can bring your own food and alcohol basically, they didn't mind - that part was great. read more

This place exceeded my expectations. Celebrated my birthday here with a big group of friends. I called for a reservation and sent over a deposit. They add a 20% service fee. You pay for the room by the hour and the rate depends on the size of the room. I had a group of 17 and we were placed in a big room that was space themed. There was plenty of seating around the room and a huge table in the middle. You're allowed to bring food and drinks which is a HUUGGEEE plus. It looked like they also sold snacks and drinks. The karaoke system that they had was nice because you could use YouTube. Def a nice option so you can sing more current songs. The staff was attentive and helped us out quickly when one of the mics wasn't working. Awesome experience!! Would go again!! read more

Casual karaoke spot in the Sunset. Booked ahead of time in one of their themed rooms. We got the Supreme room which is decked out in Supreme decor and vibes. One of the biggest draws is that they let you bring your own food and drink with a minor upcharge, which is actually really incredible. Literally bring as much of whatever you want and, if you're missing anything, they do have a small market of items available for sale. Music selection was okay. I wasn't a fan of their karaoke search engine, the interface, and the selection of songs (there was a lot I felt like was missing) but Youtube is also synced to it so you can easily pull up lyrics videos. This did make the experience more enjoyable as we could then find any song and it integrated right into the system. Perfect for a small or large group to just chill and have a good time. read more

Had a great time celebrating a friends birthday here! She had booked a room for about 15 of us on a Saturday, and it was a really fun experience. You're able to choose songs via an iPad on the wall, we mainly used YouTube and karaoke versions. We were given 2 mics, and the disco lights in the room were perfect to set the party mood. They were also able to bring in outside food and drink, so we snacked while we sang and it was definitely a vibe. Parking in this area can be tricky, but luckily when we went there was street parking available. I'd definitely recommend this place! read more

Stick to the YouTube karaoke app if you want to easily find songs to sing - the look up system was otherwise impossible. I thought they had said they sell beer but didn't see anything advertised. If you just want a fun room (SUPER CUTE themes) where you can sing with some friends, this is a good spot. No other notable bells and whistles that we could find. We might come back because it's close to our house! read more

Our new favorite Karaoke spot!! I've read mixed reviews about K-Time Karaoke. We tried it for ourselves and I wish we had gone here sooner. This review takes account of a party of 2. I am not sure how it works for bigger parties. Summary: Price: $49 an hour + tax +15% service fee (We did 1 hour and paid $60) Ambiance: 10/10 Quality of supplies: 10/10 Music selection: 10/10 Cleanliness: 8/10 (Both the room and bathrooms) Service: 10/10 Parking: 3/10 Food/Drinks: N/A AMBIANCE: 10/10 This has been one of the most aesthetic karaoke spots I've been to. I've been to dingy karaoke spots in Japantown before and have paid around the same price as K-Time Karaoke. They chose the room for us and it was a Doraemon theme. I think it depends on the size of your party. In terms of requesting to pick, I'm not sure but we didn't care what room we got. I saw there was a KAWS theme which was cool. Even the cash register was all decked out with a cute color-changing music note. Every single item in this place had a lot of details. Even the doors to enter the karaoke rooms to the microphone holders. I also loved the colorful disco lights. QUALITY: 10/10 BEST microphones I have ever used at a Karaoke spot. The microphones were so sturdy and heavy. The microphones were placed on glass stands which I thought was so fancy and smart. The couches were so plush and had cute gemstones on them. The quality of sound was spot on and clear. MUSIC SELECTION: 10/10 The songs here are unlimited due to the power of the YouTube option they provide. They have songs but they, as well as I, recommend you use the YouTube option. Any song you can think of, no matter the language, you will for the most part find it. CLEANLINESS: 8/10 I appreciate that they provide disposable microphone covers. The rooms were clean. The bathroom was decently clean. Not spotless but not horrid as well. SERVICE: 10/10 The man at the register was very nice both on the phone and in person. He was very informative before we started our time. Both him and his colleague greeted us as we left. PARKING: 3/10 K-Time is at the corner of 19th Avenue and Taraval, the metro and bus stops, and the residential area. Parking is not the best out here whatsoever, so maybe Uber unless you don't mind parking far. Food/Drinks: N/A We did not buy drinks or food but they do sell cold drinks. I saw they sell snacks as well. I want to go back already!! read more

Not a fan of leaving bad reviews, but long story short I wasted $20 an uber and a false promise. I asked to come in around 11:00, was told that I couldn't get in until 1:30. Notified them to let me know for any early entry but I'd be there at 1:30. Come in at 1:30 to see lights off etc. I call in to let them know I made... they tell me they're 15 mins away and already closed. If they didn't want a last minute appointment they could have just said no. Overall bad business, and really disappointed as it was a false promise. The only thing I got was a call hung up on. The place seemed really nice, and I appreciate the willingness to answer the phone, but the false promise was really disappointing. read more

We came in on Friday night for my daughter's birthday and originally planned to stay for just an hour, but we had so much fun that we wanted to extend our time. Even though they were extremely busy on Friday night, Josh was able to fit us in for an extra hour and then another hour after that! Amazing service and an amazing place. Highly recommend! Make sure to call ahead and book one or two extra hours, because you'll definitely want it. Also, if you need help with the system, ask for Josh he really knows what he's doing and was more helpful than anyone else. read more

This karaoke place is such a good time. The rooms are clean, the sound system is solid, and the song selection has everything--old classics, current hits, and songs everyone knows. The vibe is fun without feeling overwhelming, so it's perfect whether you're actually a good singer or just there to laugh with friends. The staff is friendly and helpful, food and drinks come out fast, and the prices are fair for how long you get the room. Overall, it's a great spot for birthdays, group hangouts, or just a spontaneous night out. I'd 100% come back. read more

Really has almost any song you can think of and you could choose songs from the screen in the room. The karaoke systems are new and smart, and the staff gives a brief introduction of the system which is sweet and helpful. The songs are all up-to-date, you can also choose a specific theme of the room but make sure to reserve in advance ( I really like the supreme and the galaxy room, super cool!). And the biggest galaxy room can hold up to 20 which is big enough for my party! Sooo much fun! Would definitely come back with my friends! read more

K Karaoke is easily one of the best karaoke spots I've been to. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had excellent sound quality, making every song fun to sing. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and quick to help whenever we needed anything. Their song selection was huge, with plenty of new and classic hits. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and arrived quickly. The atmosphere was lively without feeling overcrowded. Perfect place for birthdays, friends, or a casual night out. Went here with a group of 11 and there were several rooms with enough space for all of us to fit. Hands down our favorite karaoke (noraebang) spot! A+ song catalog and system, pricing, outside food…read morepolicy, and staff! We do marathon sessions (like 6hrs minimum lol) and have tried a number of other places, but this is the best. Their system is super easy to use and it's our fave bc they play the actual music videos instead of those random Jenna Maroney-esque stock ones. For real tho, the MVs are half the fun! Their song selection is really solid too. We sing mostly 90s and 3rd/4th gen kpop and their collection of those genres are great (the kpop catalogs are especially impressive)! Only occasionally is there a somewhat baffling or disappointing omission. (Only one Hole song but it's Miss World?? NO Pixies??) No YouTube access but we don't mind bc of the aforementioned song selection solidness (plus the timing is always off in YT videos anyway.) **Pro tip: the search autocomplete works fine most of the time, but it can get weirdly picky about punctuation/special formatting (like hyphens), so if a song doesn't show up right away, try searching a different way - artist name, song title, spacing, etc. They let you bring in outside alcohol and food for only $5! We always stop at nearby Woori Market or Third World Market beforehand for soju, hot food and snacks. Also: Happy hour from 4-8 every day! Themed rooms! Microphone covers! Online reservations! Shout out to the staff for always being so nice to us, and accommodating our last min requests!

However the front desk was friendly and apologetic about it and it obviously wasn't their fault as the party before us who had our room was taking a bit longer to wrap up. I still personally prefer taisho for karaoke in sf even tho its a bit more out of the way if you are looking for somewhere closer to Japan town. I found it a bit hard to navigate the song choices and even tho their selection is better than some places, it's still not close to the selection availability at Taisho.

Wow, this establishment has really shady business practices. I was here with a group of eight…read morefriends in March. I had to put down a $50 deposit for a reservation, but was assured that it would be taken off once we showed up. At the end of the night, I went to pay the bill. I didn't realize they added the service charge on automatically. To be fair, I did not study the bill line by line - as we were all a little buzzed, and talking within our group of friends. I feel like they take advantage of this haziness of the end of the night. Because the option to tip takes up half the receipt so you can't miss it. I tipped them, and took a photo so we could sort out splitting the bill later. The next day, I realized that I was tricked. I tipped an extra $89 on top of a bill where they already tipped themselves $75. This is so shady and sneaky. Yes, I should've checked the itemized receipt before I signed, but I bet they get this mistake by patrons often, which makes them so much more (undeserved) money. On top of that, I just checked my credit card and they never took the $50 deposit off! So they had the audacity to charge me an extra $50 ON TOP of their outrageous price. Beware of this business.

Obligatory pros: The private rooms are nice. There are two TV screens and you can order alcohol to…read moreyour room. The upstairs / lounge portion also seemed laidback and fun, not super wild. The location is super convenient to public transit. Actual review: Limited song selection + no YouTube cast option = why I am even here for karaoke lol? This is probably a decent spot if you're more concerned about the party/ambience aspect than the song selection. We were in a private room and you choose songs via a large touchscreen attached to the wall. The karaoke system was missing quite a few songs by mainstream American artists. Some of the songs we picked ended up being live versions instead of the studio versions, so people had a harder time singing along. The system had different languages like Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Thai, Arabic, Spanish, Italian, Hindi, etc., but these were not extensive selections. (Maybe the Mandarin selection is better though? The karaoke system appears to be Chinese.) Overall, did not find the system interface super intuitive at first, and I think having a more limited song selection means you should include YouTube cast as an option. I don't know if this is standard practice, but the bouncer had me empty my water bottle onto the street before I could enter.

Pros: The establishment is clean and well maintained…read more Good selection of songs in quite a few of languages. Cons: Understand the 2 hour minimum/ pricing wasn't bad 20% deep cleaning fee was outrageously high The worst part is $20.00 for a bottle of SOJU when you can get a single bottle at HMart for $5.00.. I would understand paying $10.00 similar to Korean Restaurants. Bottle of Beer for 8.00, which is reasonable but $20.00 for a regular small bottle of SOJU is a reason why I wouldn't go back.

Broadway Sing Along Bar

Was recommended by some fellow Yelp friends out of all peoples to check this place out (they know…read moreme so well, lol)! This is a pop up currently located at Rockwell and runs until August 21st. I was initially a bit hesitant to stop by since SF already has an unofficial Broadway bar called Martuni's, but this really brought the theme to life and had a different feel to it. The decor was modest and not too outlandish but I really liked the themed drinks since I'm a sucker for puns, especially the Hamilton Highball and the Phantom of the Operum. You need to book tickets via SF Bucketlisters. Ticket includes one of three cocktails from the menu to choose from. There are more cocktails available at additional cost. We had booked the 7 PM time slot and looks like they were just finishing up Broadway trivia when we got there. It was pretty noisy inside, especially with the music in the background, so would recommend bringing earplugs. We ended up staying until closing! During that time, we had a friendly audition/competition for the roles of Sandy and Rizzo in Grease, did some group sing-alongs, and karaoke. Our host Hummingbird Meadows did an amazing job emceeing the event and did some numbers of her own. If you're a musical theatre lover, I definitely recommend stopping by. My friends and I had a memorable time and there were some pretty great performers. It was fun being in a crowd of fellow musical lovers and singing musical favorites together. Highball Hamilton cocktail was a bit on the sweeter side and watered down. Hummingbird Meadows was a great emcee! Had a blast, but wish they played more well known broadway songs. Some of the requested songs were obscure. Voulez Vous (Mamma Mia) and Do You Hear the people sing (Les Mis) were great songs to end the experience! Our party had a blast!
