Also liked that they had tofu and octopus as an option as I find that those aren't always common. This was my first time at this location and I absolutely loved it. As you walk in, you can easily locate the menu. It walks you step by step on how to build your poke bowl. I went with white rice , spicy tuna and shrimp. Everything tasted super fresh and they had some very yummy toppings! Their sauces were very good too. Pleasantly surprised! We have been ordering our poke bowls from Oke Poke and decided to try another spot through DoorDash delivery. Fresh Box is closer to us, and the arrival time was much faster, so we decided to give it a try. I ordered a small size (thank you for offering this!) as I don't eat large portions and poke is not something that really does well as "leftovers". Husband ordered a medium size with greens instead of rice. The rice was good - fluffy, slightly sticky and moist. I've had rice from other places and it's dry or medium grain but this one seems to be using the smaller grain rice. Fish tastes good and the sauces are light, not overpowering. Good $$ value. Probably my current favorite poke place in the area - never mind, scratch that, it's my favorite poke place ever. First of all, the service here was absolutely top-notch. The staff were extremely friendly, patient with the customers, and they worked super fast. Second, the food was really good - I thought the fish was fresh, the topping selection was great and huge, and so was the sauce selection. You start with how many scoops of fish you want. I got a 3-scoop box with all salmon. And then the base: white rice, brown rice, mixed green or chips - you could do half and half if you want. Then I went with all of the toppings except for 3 things: mango, ginger and avocado. And my container was very properly filled! At $13.85 for the 3-scoop box, I thought the price was pretty fair. Oh, in addition to the fish the box also comes with a scoop of imitation crab salad. It's a great place for lunch and the price was pretty good for the amount of food you get, I got the large box for around $18 without tax. It was my first time having Poke and I describe it like a deconstructed sushi roll so hopefully that helps with the description. The restaurant looked clean and there was seating available for about 20 people. There is ample parking in the lot outside of the restaurant and it's in a convenient location. This review is purely for the boba, and not the food, as I've already reviewed the food, but had not tried their boba yet until today. Fresh Box is definitely known as a poke place first and foremost. However, they do offer a boba menu here as well, and a fair amount of selection of flavors at that. It's not quite as large of a selection as shop that is mainly focused on boba, but it does have more of a selection than one would expect from what is really a side menu. Price wise, it's comparable for the size of the cup at $3, and it's 50 cents extra for toppings if you want either boba or jelly to go with your drink. The boba did take a bit of time to make, but that was actually a good thing, because it feels as if it's not just all pre-made mixed stuff that you would typically find at restaurants that offer boba, but is not their primary focus, so since they actually take the time to mix it all together, the results inherently are already a good sign. I ordered two drinks today, both with a boba topping added. Jasmine Milk Tea and a Peach Fruit Tea. Both were quite tasty actually. I got regular, 100% sugar in both drinks. For the Jasmine Milk Tea, it was a tad on the sweeter side with 100%, but the tea flavors and the milk balance was well done. Will get this again in the future with slightly less sugar. The Peach Fruit Tea was also quite nice, and the tea blended together was also well balanced and tasted good. Wasn't quite as sweet as the Jasmine Milk Tea at 100% sugar, so I'd stick with this again in the future. The boba here is definitely to my liking. It's more on the QQier side of things, and gives those who prefer the chewier boba than mushier, a nice treat. If you're in the area, and feeling like boba, I would suggest thinking about dropping into Fresh Box, even if you don't plan to come here for the poke. While this area is quite packed with boba spots, Quickly just a couple minutes of walking away, Boba Loca on the other side of the shopping center, Oda Sushi/Kevin's Noodle House offering boba options, and then of course, Purple Kow, T4, and ShareTea just a bit aways; I would still rank Fresh Box's boba towards the top out of the head spinning amount of selection available for boba in this area. Affordable, good flavors, and well made boba, definitely give it a shot for boba enthusiasts. read more
