Solid place to grab poke. Choose a size, type of protein, toppings, and sauce. I got the ponzu and garlic poke sauce - the garlic was very strong but I couldn't taste the ponzu flavor at all. Maybe would like to try other sauces next time. Fish was fresh, no fishiness. The only thing I questioned was the size difference of the small vs medium containers.
I've been here twice, but I definitely forgot when I recently came here for the 2nd time. Great service. Fresh fish. They were generous with the scoops. I also got the mango matcha, which was divine. They let you choose the sweetness. I'll keep coming back! And maybe I'll stay and eat there one day. It's definitely spacious and clean enough. It wasn't cheap but it's poke and it was good poke, so it is what it is.
First time trying this place and it was way tastier than expected. I recommend getting the mango, it adds a little sweetness. The seaweed salad was good too! The medium box is pretty large portion. I ate half for lunch, half for dinner. Will definitely be returning. The matcha latte was good too! Very excited to come back!
I used to like this place but I just had the worst experience 2 days in a row. Thursday a elderly asian man didnt honor my Free Box and said come back tomorrow & you can use it. I come back the next day and his wife (elderly asian lady) argued with me that they couldnt scan my rewards to give me my free box. Why have a rewards program if you dont honor it? 1 star review ... go elsewhere or you might have the same experience as I did.
My first time coming here and actually hearing about this place, when I searched up poke this came up and I've been trying to search for more nearby poke places and this one definitely hit. Quick friendly service. Amazing portion to price ratio. It was a chilly in there but as the weather gets warmer and the poke cravings get louder--it's perfect. I wish I tried their bobas! I'm full and I split this with my mom, definitely coming back.
Love how fresh their fish is! However this visit, they forgot all my toppings. Lesson learned, don't fill out the form and just tell them what to add.
I work in Concord and decided to try this place because of the reviews. Food and customer service were a letdown. I was not acknowledged when I walked in and stood looking at the menu for a while. There was one worker at the cash register, one at the poke station, and no customers. The lady at the poke station finally acknowledged me after she was done refilling stuff, even though I was in front of her the whole time. For my bowl, I got all spicy tuna as my protein with half rice and half mixed greens. My bowl tasted fine except for the spicy tuna. It was dry, stringy, and did not taste fresh. You can even see in the picture how dry it was, like it was sitting out. I've been to many poke places, and this is probably the worst one out of all of them.
Let's start off with the food. It's poke, very easy to get right but when it goes wrong, it's wrong. In this case I loved the freshness of the fish. Their sauces are well made, and the sides are great. Just writing this makes me hungry all over again. When I started to dive into it, I thought there wasn't going to be a lot of fish compared to rice, boy was I wrong. This is one of my favorite poke shops in concord, one I recommend! You definitely get a good bang for your buck here! The prices are lower than what I've noticed most poke places having $15.75 for the Medium Box. The service was exceptional, I thought the person behind the bar was attentive and open to questions. There's a lot of seating inside, but none on the outside. However, it's really spacious on the inside, so you can def seat a few people in a group. Note: no bathroom inside!
I had a really rough day, and this wonderful lady I hadn't seen before made such a difference. She was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding -- not just with me, but with my brother as well. She took the time to listen, was patient with our order, and never made us feel rushed or uncomfortable. I even mentioned my brother's mental health, and she responded with genuine empathy and respect. It's rare to come across someone who shows that much kindness and care in customer service these days, and her attitude really turned my day around. Thank you for the warmth and understanding -- it meant a lot. Also she's pretty cute ngl
First and most important plus to this place - fresh fish! Not only that, but for at least my bowl they were not shy with the scoops either! Staff was friendly and right as we were ordering a number of people showed up - so we knew the place was popular. They have a couple of seats inside and everything was clean. Why not 5/5? They had run out of a couple items on their menu AND in my opinion their selection was small. Overall I would not come back only because I do enjoy a couple additional items to my bowl BUT this is the spot if you like large scoops of fresh fish. Side note - there is plenty of parking.
This is my favorite place in concord for a quick and healthy meal. The ingredients are always very fresh and the portions are generous.
Okay so I came here today after seeing the reviews. In the Concord area there's so many things you can choose but this sounded just right. The ambiance is okay, typical down the line type ordering.. First red flag: started ordering online.. but Grubhub, Doordash, Clover, UberEats.. no salmon option. No biggy, called in and the lady said to just check what I wanted and put in the notes the intention. Easy! I started ordering (was ordering for work too) and I noticed hamachi wasn't an option. Weird.. Second red flag: Called back twice, no answer.. so I did the same thing, and thought "oh if they don't have it they'll call back". Okay so I drive over, lady says they didn't have it so she gave me double salmon. Great.. but it would have been nice to get a call because 2 people in my party would have substituted salmon for a different option. Aw well.. don't want to waste food. Third red flag: nothing labeled to differentiate who ordered what. Spent like 7 minutes in parking lot before getting frustrated. Lady clarified.. all good.. When I inquired if they call us when stuff was missing the guy looked puzzled and said "We didn't call you?" He apologized many times and he was sweet.. but looking at the staff they looked nervous. Rightfully so.. but I wasn't mad, just a bit disappointed. Food.. so I took my first bite and the scallop was SUPER fishy and soft. Immediately upset.. i mixed everything else to kind of hide what I tried.. it didn't help. Half of it was super fishy, the other half was okay. There wasn't much fish so I guess that was bittersweet. I also followed up with my coworkers and they said the exact same. One even said her bowl was just bland. Would I come back? Maybe after a couple of months I'll try again.. but I wasn't super satisfied paying $18 for something I had to force myself to enjoy. Had the manager not introduced himself and tried to remedy the issue I'd probably say no, but him alone will have me at least giving it another shot. My advice, if you're going to take away options when you run out make sure you have someone updating the menu constantly to avoid hiccups. Tummy hurts.. gonna lie down now T-T (will give a follow up update if I come back)
Whenever I crave poké and I'm in Concord, I'll go here! This place has fresh fish and you're able to choose your own toppings, mix-ins, and sauces. My bowl always turns out delicious even if change up what I want to add. The service is quick even when they're busy. There's a lot of seating inside. Haven't tried their drinks yet but I'm excited to try their boba next time. I have no complaints; this is the real deal! Come here if you want a solid, delicious poké bowl! read more

Delicious spot nestled in a small plaza! I opted for the medium poke which included about 3 scoops of protein for $13.95 and was quite impressed. Also liked that they had tofu and octopus as an option as I find that those aren't always common. As for my order, I got salmon, albacore. and octopus but added mango, edamame and jalapeño peppers to it as well. Sauce was the Spicy Poke Sauce and a hint of Sweet Chili. Everything tasted fresh and I loved that it came in a box because I felt like it made the portion size feel that much bigger lol. It actually did fill me up as well though so that was good. Few things to note: - Lots of free parking all around - They have about 6-10 tables in the restaurant so you're definitely able to come with a group or 3-4 people - Service is fast and efficient read more

We got two medium boxes and they were both so delicious. I got a double scoop salmon and single octopus while my bf got triple scoop shrimp. Portions were really good and I love how they don't charge extra for crab & seaweed salad. Service was great! The employees were very nice and patient. I would come again if I was in the area. This was my first time at this location and I absolutely loved it. As you walk in, you can easily locate the menu. It walks you step by step on how to build your poke bowl. I went with white rice , spicy tuna and shrimp. Everything tasted super fresh and they had some very yummy toppings! Their sauces were very good too. I'll definitely be coming back:) plenty of free parking as well. Btw when I came in, they had no indoor seating. Loved this place, thanks for the hospitality yall! read more

Pleasantly surprised! We have been ordering our poke bowls from Oke Poke and decided to try another spot through DoorDash delivery. Fresh Box is closer to us, and the arrival time was much faster, so we decided to give it a try. I ordered a small size (thank you for offering this!) as I don't eat large portions and poke is not something that really does well as "leftovers". Husband ordered a medium size with greens instead of rice. The rice was good - fluffy, slightly sticky and moist. I've had rice from other places and it's dry or medium grain but this one seems to be using the smaller grain rice. Fish tastes good and the sauces are light, not overpowering. Good $$ value. Balanced mix of seasonings/toppings. Also ordered drinks. Limited selection but the boba is tasty. read more

Probably my current favorite poke place in the area - never mind, scratch that, it's my favorite poke place ever. First of all, the service here was absolutely top-notch. The staff were extremely friendly, patient with the customers, and they worked super fast. Second, the food was really good - I thought the fish was fresh, the topping selection was great and huge, and so was the sauce selection. You start with how many scoops of fish you want. I got a 3-scoop box with all salmon. And then the base: white rice, brown rice, mixed green or chips - you could do half and half if you want. Then I went with all of the toppings except for 3 things: mango, ginger and avocado. And my container was very properly filled! At $13.85 for the 3-scoop box, I thought the price was pretty fair. Oh, in addition to the fish the box also comes with a scoop of imitation crab salad. Oh and they have happy hour daily from 5-7 pm during which if you buy a box, you get the 2nd box 30% off. read more
Everything Fresh Box had to offer blew me away. I haven't had poke for a long time, so trying this place for the first time was the right time to fulfill my poke fix. I got a create your own medium box with salmon, albacore, scallops, crab meat, seaweed salad, corn, mango, cucumber, edamame, some ginger, fried garlic topping, poke sauce and spicy mayo. All over white rice as the base. The proteins were super duper fresh and mouth-watering. Next time I'm coming back for sure. read more
First time trying this unique make-your-own poke bowl. They had a lot of options for toppings which is always a plus! I chose salmon, ahi and shrimp and opted for salad for my base, although you can choose rice or chips. The have so many yummy toppings, like seaweed, crab, edamame, and more! The best part is their unique sauces and finishes. I love sauce and I can't enjoy my food without a good sauce, and this place did not disappoint! My favorite was their spicy poke sauce. Their finishes include fried onions, garlic, and hot Cheeto dust! Never seen that before but love that they offer unique toppings. The service was amazing, they were super helpful as I was new and didn't know what I wanted or what would taste best for my preferences. I have seen my friends come here and I wanted to try out some more local places for Poke. This is around the corner on willow pass road in that end of the park and shop area. I decided to get a two protein box with spicy tuna and salmon along with my other fixings I crave for in a poke. The box itself tasted pretty good and the sauce combination paired well with each other. For just two scoops, you sure get a lot of protein, so I was happy about that. Overall, not bad for the price. For my drink, I got a mango peach green tea and the flavors were standard for a drink. Overall, I can see myself coming back here again. I often find myself underwhelmed with poke spots, but this one was better than most. Definitely not the best poke I've ever had, but it's up there and satisfying enough to curb a craving without feeling disappointed. Where Fresh Box really shines is their portions and affordability in comparison to other poke spots. If you go during happy hour, you can further increase your cost savings. The food tastes fresh and there's many options to choose from when it comes to building your box. The day I came in, the wait was a bit long as they didn't have enough clean dishes to continue serving the line. Despite having to wait a while, I felt like the workers were kind and the service satisfactory, so I wasn't too upset - just hungry. Things happen and as long as this isn't a reoccurring issue, I wouldn't hold this against them. The dining area is clean, spacious, and well lit. However, there weren't any napkins available during my visit which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, I'd give them a 7.6/10. Would go again if I'm in the mood for some poke. read more

Poke Time! Fresh Box has Happy Hour at 5pm to closing with buy 1 get 1 for 30% off. It is a great time to go for that discount. This place is great for lunch but can get crazy busy. Who wouldn't want Poke for lunch. There has been a couple of times my white rice has been a little mushy and topping seem limited but other than that all my past experiences have been great. If you're a regular like me join that rewards program to earn points. The only fish I get is salmon because I am a salmon girly and it is so good and fresh. I still need to try the other proteins. What should I try next? My go to sauces are ponzu and unagi mixed together with a side of spicy mayo. I would love to see spicy crab and masago as an option here. I love how it is a side and not a protein because that is definite I see it. The staff are kind and build my bowl to my liking. Thank you for mixing all topping that are not mix ins in. There is a parking lot, insiding seating, and bathroom for customers. There has only been a couple times it has been out of order but is usually up and running. read more

I really enjoyed the food at this little restaurant. The food was so fresh and very filling. It's a great place for lunch and the price was pretty good for the amount of food you get, I got the large box for around $18 without tax. It was my first time having Poke and I describe it like a deconstructed sushi roll so hopefully that helps with the description. The restaurant looked clean and there was seating available for about 20 people. There is ample parking in the lot outside of the restaurant and it's in a convenient location. I recommend this spot for sure and will be going back. read more

Always been my favorite place to go! My boyfriend and I are a big fan of this place! Service is fast and very convenient when you are on the go! Employees are always friendly. I am happy that you are able to dine in inside now and very roomy. They also have happy hour after 5 I think they are all half off :) The line gets crazy after 5 Food is always fresh with good amount. Down side is they are always out of masago? even if you come early or happy hour? Did you guys stop serving masago? :( read more
I was craving Poke and I search on Yelp where was the nearest location. It happened to be in the same shopping plaza I was purchasing my groceries at. When I looked at reviews and noticed they have been opened a couple of years was shocking because I never knew. Walked in and there was a display of the process on how to order. For the small size I ordered was quite filling. Hands down they get 4 stars from service, atmosphere, and quality of food. Definitely a keeper in my book. read more

This poke spot has brought to my attention that I can't stop coming here! For a small, they give you a good amount of portion. I couldn't even imagine how the medium and large would be with those portions. I recommend to newcomers to try this place out. I ordered a small including white rice as my base, salmon and tuna for my protein, edamame, seaweed salad, crab salad, unagi sauce, avocado (dollar extra), and furikake as my topping. Was looking for a poke spot in the Walnut Creek area and came across this place! I got a small box, which was enough to fill me up (I am very petite though, so fair warning). I came here for lunch and it wasn't super hectic. The servers were quick and easy to talk to! The inside is really cute, too! Lots of seating available. This review is purely for the boba, and not the food, as I've already reviewed the food, but had not tried their boba yet until today. Fresh Box is definitely known as a poke place first and foremost. However, they do offer a boba menu here as well, and a fair amount of selection of flavors at that. It's not quite as large of a selection as shop that is mainly focused on boba, but it does have more of a selection than one would expect from what is really a side menu. Price wise, it's comparable for the size of the cup at $3, and it's 50 cents extra for toppings if you want either boba or jelly to go with your drink. The boba did take a bit of time to make, but that was actually a good thing, because it feels as if it's not just all pre-made mixed stuff that you would typically find at restaurants that offer boba, but is not their primary focus, so since they actually take the time to mix it all together, the results inherently are already a good sign. I ordered two drinks today, both with a boba topping added. Jasmine Milk Tea and a Peach Fruit Tea. Both were quite tasty actually. I got regular, 100% sugar in both drinks. For the Jasmine Milk Tea, it was a tad on the sweeter side with 100%, but the tea flavors and the milk balance was well done. Will get this again in the future with slightly less sugar. The Peach Fruit Tea was also quite nice, and the tea blended together was also well balanced and tasted good. Wasn't quite as sweet as the Jasmine Milk Tea at 100% sugar, so I'd stick with this again in the future. The boba here is definitely to my liking. It's more on the QQier side of things, and gives those who prefer the chewier boba than mushier, a nice treat. If you're in the area, and feeling like boba, I would suggest thinking about dropping into Fresh Box, even if you don't plan to come here for the poke. While this area is quite packed with boba spots, Quickly just a couple minutes of walking away, Boba Loca on the other side of the shopping center, Oda Sushi/Kevin's Noodle House offering boba options, and then of course, Purple Kow, T4, and ShareTea just a bit aways; I would still rank Fresh Box's boba towards the top out of the head spinning amount of selection available for boba in this area. Affordable, good flavors, and well made boba, definitely give it a shot for boba enthusiasts. read more
Fresh Box is a different type of poke spot. Rather than using bowls they use boxes that allow for more room. The setup is same as all others, line up and go step by step. I chose the medium with 3 proteins (spicy tuna, salmon, yellowtail) with garlic poke sauce on mixed greens. Like others have mentioned, the two scoops of salmon and yellowtail were small. All other ingredients were fresh. Service was friendly and fast. Plenty of parking. Prices are about on par with other poke restaurants. read more
What a gem! One of the few places that do not limit you on anything aside from the scoops of protein, but 2 scoops of protein is plenty! Usually, other poke places like these (make your own bowl) will limit the number of toppings or at least have an additional charge if you want to go over that limit. But this place doesn't do that! The fish looked and tasted fresh, no fishy after taste at all. You can mix and match anything after the protein. The world is literally your oyster. Pick anything! I had half brown rice and half greens with salmon and tuna. Mixed in some edamame, jalapenos, and cucumbers with spicy mayo sauce. Topped with crab, seaweed salad, cilantro, and green onions. Last but not least, always add fried garlic and furikake! This is all in a small! This was definitely filling and tasty. The location is tucked away behind Burger King and next to UPS. It is random and kind of hard to find if you never been there before. There is plenty of parking. The staff were generous with the amount of food too which is always appreciated! read more

I've had Fresh Box a few times but it was either picked up by my daughter and brought home or delivered via DoorDash. Fresh Box is a great poke bowl joint located at the Park N Shop closer to Brasas Do Brazil. Parking is plentiful. It is fun to create your own box! Customize your poke bowl however you like. First, choose what size you want. Then choose your base. White rice? Brown rice? Mixed greens perhaps? Next, choose your proteins. Are you feeling salmon or spicy tuna? Shrimp? Now, select your extras like corn, mango, or onions. Heck choose all. Can't forget the sauces. Maybe you like sweet chili, or spicy mayo. Or mix a bunch of sauces together. You decide! Then comes the toppings. Would you like a scoop of crab or seaweed salad? Are you into cilantro? Lastly, pick your finishes. How about a sprinkle of furikake (Japanese condiment comprised of chopped seaweed, sesame seeds, and dried fish) or fried garlic or onion chips for added crunch? Whatever you're craving, go for it! Fresh Box is tasty and filling. It's not the same as enjoying poke in Hawaii, but it does the job! read more
