Was in the area and craving poke ALWAYS happy to try a new spot and it did not disappoint. Came here right when they opened so the service was very quick. I am a fan of places that have you fill out your order so you can see what to choose from and in theory no errors :) I appreciate the many options that they had for protein, sauces, and toppings. Overall would come back again. read more

Ordered a medium bowl yesterday that did not disappoint! I got brown rice spring mix with crab, ahi, salmon, and octopus. The toppings I got were seaweed salad, masago, edamame, furikake, green onions, sesame seeds, and nori. Sauces were unagi and mango. The only downside about Poke Go is that they upcharge $2 for avocado. My go-to poke spot in Walnut Creek, Oke Poke, does not upcharge for avocado. For this reason, I'd give them 4.5 stars. since one can't give half stars on Yelp, I'm rounding up to 5 because the portions are generous. I ordered from DoorDash and my order was ready when I arrived. I got lucky and found parking a few feet away from the restaurant. I'd go back when I'm in Lafayette! read more

Trying to be healthy so my kiddo and I went to our local poke spot. Parked in the back parking lot. Received a friendly greeting when we walked in. Place was nice and clean but not too busy. There are signs showing you exactly how to order for the poke bowl novices. She got a large and I got a medium bowl with half salad and half rice. You get a base and 3 more proteins. My tuna and proteins were fresh. They also told us they just cubed up the salmon, which looked great, so my daughter got 3x salmon. Opted for the house sauce with ponzu. Everything tasted good. Give them some business folks! We'll be back! read more

For any poke lovers out here, try this place out. They are very generous with their portions and they have toppings that I have never encountered in any poke shop I have been to. The service here was phenomenal where they were friendly, loved answering any questions I had. I loved that all the toppings were very fresh and even the fish tasted fresh! They had the typical base such as brown rice, sushi rice, and even the salad, but what them also different is that they have some sort of like seaweed kelpy(?) sort of thing as base and that was delicious! I would definitely come back here again for my poke fill. read more

Food was great with a very full combo bowl! I would definitely return and recommend Poke go highly.

This was a really good Poke Bowl!! I came here after hanging out at the Lafayette Reservoir most of the day and was good and hungry. I ordered from the menu, I found out later that I could have written my order down on the checked boxes list and did it that way, but oh well. Most poke places I've gone to are pretty good, this one fits that narrative. Decent sized portions, fresh ingredients, fast service. There was no indoor dining here, but they did have a couple of tables outside, so I ate there. All in all, a good experience!! read more

Poke Go - Medium box - Seafood Near Me - Lafayette, California

Really delicious poke that tastes fresh. We love going here to satisfy our poke cravings. The menu is kind of confusing with the base protein versus a regular protein, but we love their spicy tuna and my personal favorite is the salmon with unagi sauce and ponzu. Service is nice, and it's good to see this cuisine in Lafayette when usually we have to go to Berkeley or Walnut Creek for fresh poke. Not a lot of seating inside so we typically grab our dish to go. Service is also very fast and it looks like people are usually ordering online to-go, but walk-ins are just as quick. Prices are also decent for the amount of protein you get. Usually my husband and I each get the medium and it's plenty for us with a big appetite. Husband's Review: "Good variety of toppings and more selection of fish than I would have expected. I'll need to try them all. Also reasonably priced." read more

I was feeling fishy on a Friday afternoon. I looked up poke spots near my area and this popped up as the closest one. Upon arrival, it is metered street parking. There is also parking lots in the back but I was lucky to park in the front. As you walk in, there will be a menu card and pen to write what you want in your poke bowl. You hand it to the worker once you are done and he/she will mix all protein & sauce together. I wouldn't say this is the best poke spot but it's decent for the locals. Price wise is okay I guess, I get my poke somewhere else but i was too lazy to be stuck in traffic rush hour so I drove to this location instead. Service was friendly, the worker gave me time to fill out what I wanted in my bowl. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Overall, I enjoyed my late lunch at this poke spot. read more

All that glitters is not gold - Part I Recently, I was having a Yelp conversation with Cherylynn N. regarding fake reviews. Yelp is full of "fake reviews" out there, especially from fairly new restaurants. Look, I get it...times are tough and you want to survive. You gotta bring business to your establishments by any means necessary. Some make fake accounts and write "cookie cutter" reviews that give glowing remarks to a place similar to so-called movie critics praising a movie that sucks. Spotting a fake review is pretty easy. A few things to look out for: - Yelper with zero or few friends - Yelper with no real profile photo or no profile photo at all - Yelper that lives out-of-state or even from a different country - Yelper has literally one or few reviews written - Yelper reviews are not specific or are just a few sentences. Heck, I write compliments longer than some of these reviews. I'm not saying that this business paid some Yelpers or even made Yelp accounts to write reviews. Oh no, let me be clear as this is not what I am saying. My point is that these are the things to look for when deciding what to choose on where to spend your money. During the pandemic, I have been reluctant to write negative reviews of places and establishments simply because I know that everyone is hurting during these times. But, I just wanna vent on a few places so hopefully things can be rectified. Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at approximately 1910 hours, after my friends were done walking at Lafayette Reservoir during our Therapy Tuesday session, we were hungry and decided on grabbing some food here since it was nearby and they didn't close until 2000 hours. We drove here and found a parking spot in front of the place. We got here at approximately 1918 hours and there were two workers inside - one male and one female. There were 3 of us and were greeted promptly. Since it was our first time there, we decided to study the menu first that were on the wall and their menu board. One of the posters had instructions on how to order. Since we were ordering separately, I wasn't paying attention to my friends as I was studying the wall menu. I decided on getting the Signature Combo B ($15.00) that comes with Salmon, Tuna, Albacore, Tai and Hamachi for the protein. For the base, I chose the spring mix instead of rice for a healthier option. While ordering, I could hear one of my friends having a conversation with the female worker and he sounded agitated. To be honest, I wasn't particularly paying attention to their conversation as I was busy telling the male worker what other ingredients I wanted on my bowl. But the way that he was doing it made me feel rushed and he kept tapping the scooper, which was annoying and felt it was intentional. After "choosing" toppings and sauces, I just felt rushed and missed a couple of ingredients due to the awkward and interaction between everything that was going on. So after paying separately, we all walked out and one of my friends looked like he was really perturbed and frustrated. As we got inside the car, he then explained that the female worker was condescending to him and that he also felt rushed and a bit humiliated. My friend is a U.S. Marine and served during the Iraq War. He's battling through PTSD among other things and he's on the heavy side. He knows this and doesn't want to be reminded of it. We all got the sense that we were all rushed as it wasn't even close to their posted closing time of 2000 hours when we left. There were about 30 minutes left before they closed and we were the only customers there. But my friend was really upset and asked if we heard the conversation they had with the female worker. My other friend and I both apologized as we weren't really paying attention, but could hear something wasn't quite right. I should've been more in tune, but I was immersed in my thoughts of what to order. I felt so bad for him. My other friend said the same thing. But after all of that, we hoped that the food was at least good and drove to the marina. Verdict: The sauce overpowered everything and the protein was sinewy. #YelpChallenge2020 review No. 3 read more

#TravelsWithDucky enjoys this fresh poke in Lafayette. The salmon, hamachi and the shrimp are consistently tasty. We especially relish their four different kinds of Japanese pickles, as well as having an excellent shitake mushrooms in their toppings. I love that we have a poke bowl place here! However, the door was open and flies were literally all over the fish and serving utensils . It was really unappetizing and honestly gross. Maybe get a fan for the doorway to keep the bugs out. read more

How is this place so well reviewed?! is it just teenagers or something? As someone who gets poke at least once a week I seriously resent the lack of quality, how overpriced it is, how fatty the salmon is, how super sweet everything from their house sauce to the seaweed to the shiitake mushrooms are, I love poke and this is the only one in the area, so I get it, and seriously resent them every time. Please get better, especially for the price point. Did I mention the super cheap to go containers that get soggy? And the lack luster seekingly stoked workers that ask the same questions over and over? Ugh, frustrating. Looks like it's delivery poke for me. read more

Updating the review here for people: The food is still really good. But I still heavily suggest people to check your bill before paying. I ordered a large bowl with spring mix salad, 2 scoops of crab meat, 1 scoop of salmon, 1 scoop of tuna, and 2 scoops of tai. Added with unagi, toppings with an extra scoop of masago. So the base price for a large bowl is about $16.xx (which is higher than before). With the extra crab meat scoop, that's extra charge. Which all good and dandy. The unagi is extra charge too. Which again, I already knew. Same with the extra scoop of masago. Then just as I was getting rung up, I saw the lady typing into the computer my order but then she tried to charge me an extra $3 for extra protein. Now mind you, it should be extra for the crab, the unagi and the extra topping. But not for normal protein since the large bowl comes with 4 scoops. (In my case: 1 salmon, 1 tuna, 2 tai). Unless unagi counts as extra protein + the added charge? It just has a $1 sign in front of it. So while the food is still amazing, definitely check the bill payment screen before the tip comes up. For whatever reason, this shop has always had sketchy payment amounts. It's never really been consistent. read more

Absolutely amazing poke bowls. Tasty, fresh, huge portions and all for a really decent price. I'm always curious about poke. With my Hawaiian lifestyle, I rarely have it here in the Mainland. I'm always concerned about raw fish, how it's handled, and it's freshness. I met up with Melissa N for lunch. She's been here when they first opened and liked it. It's a super clean store, which is a total plus for me. A few small chairs. Two cops where taking carry out, which as afterthought, we a positive. 5-O eat good. Lol! I was a bit confused on how to order, even though it was clearly outlined on the menu. The server/owner was really kinda robotic, so Melissa gave me the plan. Started with a medium bowl, salads and three proteins. Tako seemed a safe bet, since it was cooked. Maguro I figured turned over a lot. I too a chance on albacore, since it's my favorite sashimi. Topped everything with edamame, cucumbers, and oshinko. House poke spicy sauce, which was mild. It was good. My lunch was enhanced by the engaging company of Elite Melissa. I wouldn't make a special trip back unless I was in the area again. It's been a day since our meal and my concerns about the freshness of the ingredients has passed read more

The food here is SO fresh and yummy. There are many delicious choices (mango! avocado! shitaki mushrooms! Mmm...) and they change things up with seasonal additions. Prices are reasonable, the service is impeccable and the premises sparkling clean. I recommend them highly. However, I was sorry to read SM's review of being treated poorly. Whenever I see a person of color treated differently rom white customers, it makes me feel physically ill, and I do not return to that establishment. I'd hate to have Poke Go ruined as a favorite take out spot, especially during these hot summer days! I hope to hear - and witness - that all staff treat all customers with the same polite and professional courtesy from now on. Thanks for making a change if it is needed, Poke Go. read more

Overall, a very solid spot to get your poke fix. The sauces were good, the fish was fresh, and everything was on-point. Quick and friendly service, too. Love their variety of toppings -- I only wish they had yam noodles as an option for the base. A little on the pricey side, but not too bad (This is downtown Lafayette, after all). The real problem is parking, and I recommend parking in the shopping center across the intersection. read more

I love this place. My family always come to this place for Poke Bowl, and their sauce is the best. I can't go to any other place. We just want the owner to scoop the food for us. Why? Because he is so generous and gives us good amounts of food. This time I didn't get rice, it's all vegetables. But once I got home, and opened my box, I was disappointed. My poke bowl costs almost $10 but I didn't have very much protein, which is supposed to be two scoops, and got less spicy crabmeat. Even the edamame was a little bit and sprinkled on top. My other family member got the food scooped by the owner, and she got a lot more. Actually there was another woman with a slimmer built who was gave smallest amount of foods. Fortunately, I didn't see that woman recently. I don't mean to give any negative comment, but I want to be heard. The food is very tasty, just please train the girl staffs to have the same standard as the owner, and make sure they're giving your customers a good amount of food. Then your place would be perfect for Poke bowl. read more

I think this place is average based on the taste of fish (not amazing) and how small the scoops are. I'd rather go to Walnut Creek places. The quality is fine though. The pros: Tofu: tofu is fresh and tasty, medium softness. If you don't mind not getting fish value or if you aren't as crazy about raw fish, this is a good choice. Wasabi: nice and spicy Service: friendly and patient, although as with masks at all custom food services, communication takes a bit more effort. Bf comes here often for convenience when he wants something lighter. I'm less of a poke aficionado and therefor I'm pickier. :P read more

Finally! A legit poke shop in Lamorinda. Graze in Rheem has a poke bowl but you can't select your toppings. Beware, you will be overwhelmed by all the choices you have to make of you are a newbie to poke. Very fresh and nice variety. I had a medium with 3 scoops of protein. Double salmon and a tuna. Half half base of salad and brown rice. All for under $11! It's a deal people! Support your local shops and check this place out. May have to go with small next time because the portions are generous. I am hoping that this business will succeed in a location where so many have failed. Review #311 - 2018 Ever since my brother found out that he has high cholesterol and borderline high glucose, we've been doing a better job at going out to eat at more health conscious eateries. He's never been too fond of raw fish, but he's actually taken on the idea of having poke every so often. We showed up for late lunch/early dinner on Wednesday, October 10th, at around 6:30 PM. We both decided on a medium bowl and made our bowls to our liking. I got a large bowl to take home for my son, as well. We both felt the sauces were well flavored. Not too salty and not too bland. Just right! The fishes and veggies were fresh and yummy. Portions were pretty good, but the proteins could be a little more generous. Service was friendly and quick, since we were the only two in line. We'll definitely be back since it's the closest poke spot to my house. read more
