Oke Poke's customer service, quality fish, and acceptable prices (especially with frequent deals available on the app) have won my loyalty as my local poke shop. It's nice to have a go-to Poke place like Oke Poke! My last visit was for a free dole whip (pineapple and strawberry available) and there were several kind employees waiting behind the counter to assist in any way. The seating area and food preparation areas are nice and clean, location pleasant in a not-too-busy-but-accessible part of downtown Walnut Creek, and of course the poke itself is very tasty too. I like how ordering on the app for pickup is a streamlined and simple process (for group orders too!) There's create your own poke, sushi burritos, or nachoes or you can go with a recommended preset. Avocado is not extra!! And there are lots of unique options from rice noodle base to crawfish as a choice of protein. ~$20 for a large bowl with 5 scoops of protein is a good price to me. went on a tuesday for dinner and it wasnt too busy. a good amount of seating inside. located in downtown walnut creek so lots of metered street parking around and some garages that usually have the first hour or two free. order chipotle style. you can also download their app and make an account for a couple coupons including a half off one! -large (4/5): fish was fairly fresh. free avocado! i got the garlic sauce which i felt was ok and would taste better if mixed with another sauce, but i like my food REALLY saucy so. also opted for toppings on top rather than mixed in with the sauce and fish. i would probably do mixed next time though since i felt it wasnt saucy enough. my portion looked smaller than my friend who got the medium, but i think thats just because i didnt get any imitation crab and she got both types haha overall, a standard poke spot read more

My husband and I were visiting and found this place. We ordered via third party app. They have a wide variety of items to choose from. My husband ordered a customized poke burrito and I ordered a customized medium size poke bowl. And they had a promo on the third party app for but one get one for dole whip or shaved iced, so we got that. I like how you can choose each and every individual item you want on your burrito/ bowl. I also like how there was a cucumber base option for the bowl if you don't want to order rice. I can't comment on the ambiance since we did not go to the actual location. My second favorite poke spot in the Bay Area! I come here when I work a lot because my coworkers love coming here. It's quick, easy and filling. The parking is over, there is a parking garage within a block of this shop. Their bowl size with the 2 proteins is $17 and some change. Which does feel a bit pricy, but the portions are so big, one bowl is enough for lunch and dinner. The fish is fresh which is very important to me. I'm super picky about the fish! The moment I find out a place has bad quality fish, I pretty much blacklist them. It's not worth the food poisoning, so I'm super happy to find a second poke place with good fish! I can't believe it's taken me this long to leave a review!! This has been my go-to poke spot for a few years, even though it's quite a drive from Pleasanton. I joined their rewards program early on (they have an app too!) to get notified about frequent deals like BOGO or a free dole whip. They have limited street parking, but a parking garage is right next door. I always get a medium bowl ($18.50 - 3 scoops of protein) because it is guaranteed to fill me up no matter how hungry I am. A large bowl ($20.95 - 5 scoops of protein) is an excellent deal too. You have 18 included add-ons to choose from, and avocado isn't extra $! I'm convinced it's all the toppings that make me so full every time lol. My go-to sauces are crunchy garlic, Oke house sauce, and firecracker which has spicy mayo. I prefer mine mixed together with aaaaall the dry toppings (sesame seeds, crunchy onion, fried garlic, furikake). I've always had a pleasant experience with staff, and the long lines go by quickly. My gf ordered my pickup. Ingredients are fresh. Ordered the Medium bowl with a bunch of loaded stuff and a dole whip. Never had a dole whip before, freaking delicious. I feel like I was getting quality meat all around, even the imitation crab which can be quite rancid if left out for a little too long. Food was delicious and I understood why there was a line almost out the door. Would I wait that long, no, but this place is worth the pickup. Definitely will be going back. They only have one location left in Walnut Creek, but honestly, it just wasn't as good as when I used to live in San Mateo and visited their location there. I've had Oke Poke on my list for a while, and after seeing so many Yelp reviews saying it's one of the best poke places in the Bay Area, I had to try it. The only downside here is parking. It's in downtown Walnut Creek, so finding a spot can be a bit of a hassle. I got a medium bowl with half salad and half rice, which comes with three protein choices. I went with two scoops of tuna and one scoop of spicy tuna. I added most of the toppings and chose the firecracker sauce along with their spiciest one. The bowl was really good. The fish was fresh, and they were generous with the portions. I'm picky when it comes to tuna since it can sometimes be stringy, but everything here was perfect. My partner agreed this place was excellent, and we both prefer it over Pokeatery. The portions are big too and I usually finish my bowl, but this time I had to take half home. Recently have been getting tons of emails from different restaurants all rolling out new apps and giving out deals for first visits. Oke Poke not only had a 50% off bowl but also a free dole whip offer. Came after doing some errands in the area and got the large OG bowl that came with 5 (!) scoops of protein and both my partner and I got a strawberry pineapple dole whip swirl. For only a few more dollars, the larger bowl is incredibly worth it compared to the regular sized bowl with only 3 proteins - I could see others around us eating and that size was significantly smaller. It was more than enough for two. The tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, scallops, etc were very good and fresh, better in quality than some of the other poke chains we have had around Oakland/Berkeley. The sauce combos + the crunchy toppings like edamame, garlic, onions, furikake, etc. also gave a well rounded bowl and we were left very satisfied. The dole whip was really good as well. Not necessarily as smooth as some other dole whips we have had that are closer in texture to a good soft serve ice cream but the flavor and quantity given was fairly generous and left us refreshed after that large meal. All in all, a solid poke place that will have us coming back for more, especially if there are any more deals in the future. read more

Going to lead off with the not so great. I prefer my poke bowls with white rice but it's gummy, clumpy, and off putting here everytime. FreshBox in Concord has such GOOD fluffy rice so this is pretty disappointing in comparison. Hopefully you can tell what I mean by the picture. Wait times are kind of wild, order ahead a decent amount of time before you actually want to pickup. Love the variety of toppings and sauces and that I'm able to have everything be mixed together instead of separate components just placed on top, because I mix it all together anyways. What made it even more frustrating was that the restaurant wasn't even busy. I was so happy to see they carry yellowtail! It definitely reminds me of my Hawaii trip. The workers are really nice and explained things in detail when I had questions. I have tried the poke bowl, but my favorite has to be the poke nachos. Although you can only do salmon or tuna for the nachos, it was still delicious. I picked the firecracker style and opted out of hot cheeto crumbs. I loved the sauce because it was light, yet sweet and savory. Everything meshed well together including the tortilla chips.
