I had a very disappointing experience at Uncle Sharkii in Sunvalley Mall. The staff/cashier spoke to me in a very disrespectful and condescending manner, almost as if they were talking to a small child. She was even raising her voice at me, which made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. On top of that, I had to wait almost 20 minutes just for a boba drink, even though it wasn't an unusually complicated order. There was no apology, no explanation for the delay, and no effort to provide good customer service. I understand that businesses can get busy, but there's no excuse for treating customers with disrespect. I hope management addresses both the staff's professionalism and the long wait times so future customers have a much better experience. read more

For a restaurant in a mall food court, my meal was surprisingly good. I had the poki bowl with greens as the base and instead of two different types of fish I had double ahi tuna. The fish was fresh and the combo of toppings was fine. It was sort of bland; perhaps another sauce would have perked up the bowl. The service was fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable. It's pretty good tasting+price, but leaves your tummy hurting (It's definitely what you expect for mall poke). Underwhelming portion, but I guess what can you expect from getting poke at the mall. The flavors were good, but I just wish there was a litttle bit more of everything. I miss the old poke place that used to be by El Tapatio, they definitely knew how to portion well. This place is located in the food court at the mall so there is ample seating. I hate writing negative reviews unless the food is really awful, but the poke bowl I ordered was so incredibly disappointing. I'm not sure if it's because my friends and I ordered through DoorDash, but this was the worst poke bowl I've ever had. I got the ahi tuna and salmon bowl with house spicy and pineapple wasabi mayo sauce, and the fish was barely coated in the sauce. I didn't taste any wasabi from the wasabi mayo sauce, and my friends who also got the same sauce agreed with me. Therewasn't any spice at all as well. It felt like the fish had just been tossed in a very light dressing of sesame oil. The fish wasn't the freshest and the scoops of fish were so small compared to other places I've had. The imitation crab is just shredded up with no coating, or at least none that I could taste. The best thing about the bowl was probably the seaweed and corn... I'd strongly suggest skipping this place and eating somewhere else! read more

Lots and lots of seating in the nearby areas. Not far from large restrooms also. Electrical outlets nearby if you need to charge a phone or laptop. Ahi Tuna and Salmon: This is my go to choices for poke. Though I do love Spicy tuna a lot, this combination just hit the spot for me. All the topping paired well with the fish choices and the sauce was not too salty but gave it a lot of flavor. The price is a bit high, but the overall quality is not bad, especially being located in the mall. Strawberry Green Tea: This fruit tea is still pretty good. I enjoyed the green tea flavor more than a black tea, and the boba was squishy and delicious. Can't say much more than that. I know its a poke bowl restaurant in the mall but its actually really good. This is my sons go to for food if we are here. We get the number 1 with white rice. Both of my kids really like this one. The food is good quality. The rice is flavorful. I don't know how they do that. Its an easy dinner for us for sure. You have to sit with the other mall diners but its fine. I know no one wants to be at work, but still it's your job....... She was very slow I waited over 30 min for my poke. Doing things very slow, when there was only three orders. I was very patient, never said anything, she was the only one there so I kinda understood. But she only had three orders, and I don't think poke should take more than 30 mins to receive. Came back to Uncle Sharkii's, this time for some boba. I've tried one of their milk teas in the past and was pretty satisfied with it. There's a total of 8 flavors on the menu varying from milk tea and regular tea for $5.25 without boba and an additional 75 cents with boba. I'm not too picky when it comes to boba, although if I do not like a restaurant's boba, I won't go back for a second try. This place is okay if you want something simple, and it's not like there are better options in Sunvalley Mall (not a fan of Surf City's boba and haven't tried Boba Time yet). The Honeydew Milk Tea was a little watery tasting and had more ice than I liked, but it wasn't all that bad. The tapioca balls itself were chewy and had a good texture. read more

Decided to walk the mall on lunch break and wanted to give this poke place a try. Everything taste fresh without any fishiness and the fish and vegetables stayed cold which it should be. Odd and exception was the sushi rice was hot. I had a hard time holding the bowl as I took it "to go" and the bottom of the bowl was so hot (not warm). I am surprise the fish and vegetables stayed cold, but I did get half rice and half mixed greens could be the reason. The greens was the layer that kept the fish and other items from being warm. Other than the rice being hot (they probably made a fresh batch), the poke bowl was good . Will definitely return. read more

Menu is pretty simple and not so complex. For being in the mall I give it 5 stars. Don't judge til you try it, I really enjoyed the poke bowl and their boba is pretty good too. If you ever want a poke bowl on the fly like I did this place is a place to go and this is my first time.
