What a terrible experience. As I waited to place my order I was told they were listening. By the time I got my food I walked out of the store and had multiple missing items from my order. I felt like I was not hurt at all, and when I complained I was told not to come back. Just horrific!!!

Burritos in this photo are larger than they appear.

I'd have to agree with a few other reviews, i.e., I'd like to see a little more meat and a little less lettuce in my burrito. But beyond that, I like the place for what it gives you. That starts with a freshly made, lightly toasted tortilla - that's something that just has a really good "mouth feel," and just try getting that type of tortilla at a fast food place or burrito chain. It's also made quickly, almost as quickly as if I'd been going down a burrito assembly line. The price is reasonable, and the staff are very friendly. I haven't had enough similar food at nearby independent Mexican establishments, but it's hands down mucho mejor than the "Live Mas" stuff.

This taco spot is okay if you're in the mood for something quick and cheap. Definitely not real Mexican style tacos if that's what you're looking for. I have gotten a few tacos here and also their nachos. The food however is not made fresh to order, instead they have a small hot bar behind the counter where they scoop out the toppings/meat. The steak tacos are one of the better things on the menu since those are cooked on the grill to order. I noticed that when you get the ground beef (or Tex mex chili as they call it), they literally just scoop it and serve you which is sometimes questionable because who knows how long it could be sitting there? I've never seen this spot busy. I also realized that when you get the nachos they literally take a container pre packed with chips (honestly about 10) and put cheese on it before putting it in the microwave. Yes, the MICROWAVE! Soo strange, for all that it seems like you can just do it yourself at home. He then adds the meat and beans (which are like warm) before putting jalapeños. Eat these quick, they do tend to get extremely soggy/watery! Their "taco sauce" is also pretty funny, it's just Chinese take out hot sauce

I usually wait to review something I hate but I don't want to forget. Disclaimer, I only had a vegetarian burrito. Second disclaimer, I didn't read carefully enough to see it, for some reason, has lettuce and tomatoes on it. Like ALOT of lettuce and tomatoes. Not good mesclun greens or even romaine but shitty old looking iceberg. And not pico, just tomatoes. Just plain watery chilled tomatoes. Not ok, sorry it's just not. Yes it's an opinion but still, no way, soggy mess. Whatever, my bad. Besides that this thing had no discernible guac, bland unseasoned beans and get this-the ends weren't even tucked. I mean what the fuck? Minor detail? Petty? Maybe but again, still. It reminds me of trying to get a decent burrito at a "traditional" Mexican restaurant. Don't bother, it's all so meat-centric that they don't bother with the important details (like salsa, beans flavored with cumin, garlic, sautéed onions and peppers, tasty simple guacamole, decent cheese, a fully wrapped burrito). Hey I'm sure their pork is great blah blah blah but don't expect to be impressed by the burrito

Yikes. This food was just god awful. The tortilla chips were more like wanton noodles and the salsa tasted like duck sauce.

Delicious! Best burritos I've had in Poughkeepsie. It's like a Chinese food restaurant but they sell Mexican instead of Chinese!

Inexpensive and quick. Taco shells are tasty and crunchy. Skip the guacamole which I'm pretty sure is canned.

My favorite is the chips and salsa of course but for a meal my favorite is the enchiladas. I can't even explain how good they are and how good their rice is! And the restaurant has always been super clean! Oh, and before I forget... save room for dessert! Their leches cake is HEAVEN!!!

We had reservations for a 9 person party (which I realize is large), and had to still wait 30 minutes to be seated, which was a little annoying but the staff was attentive and consistently kept us updated. Once seated, the staff continued with excellent customer service throughout dinner. I tried the below dishes: Appetizer Nachos: Just like it sounds, tortilla chips smothered in cheese, beans, and a protein. These were really tasty, above average compared to comparable establishments. Appetizer Beef Empanadas: Ground beef wrapped in a corn based dough and fried. The beef mix was seasoned well but a little dry. I probably would not get these again. Chile Relleno: Though not much to look at, the pablo peppers stuffed with chicken was but seasoned and fried well. Again, above average. Cochinita Pibil: Slow roasted pork topped with pickled onions and served with corn tortillas. Absolutely incredible! The pork was both juicy and fork tender. The best roasted pork i've had in years! Overall an excellent experience and I'd recommend to anyone craving Mexican Cuisine in the area!

Suffice it to say it was not much. It's not her fault. $11 for a burrito?! I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. If you've got a group or a family, the ambience is good for that lots of tables open spaces and if you have no food, allergies, you can build one heck of a burrito, I guess Five stars for the service and a combination of two and three stars for the pricing.

But today…read morethey had a BOGO for the chicken bowl or burrito and I had errands nearby, so I gave it a shot. For $6.50 a bowl, the food is acceptable. To use a modern colloquialism: it's very mid. I liked the pineapple salsa. The chicken is okay, the chunks are decent sized. Portion however is a joke. The main issue is that there is NO WAY I would ever pay regular price for this. $13 each for this is outrageous. And that's without chips and guac. That would put it over $20 Last week Salsa Fresca had a similar deal and the food is better, the helpings are bigger, and they give you chips and salsa. No such courtesy here! You would need to fork over $4 more for that! In my opinion, this place isn't worth it. I'm half expecting a response to this from the owner in an attempt placate me with phoney customer service to look like they care, but the best way to do that is reevaluate your prices and stop trying to squeeze every dollar you can from your customers. And give us chips like your competitors! But I know you won't. In fact you'll probably end up raising prices. Peace out
