I was not impressed. I went there because of The yelp reviews that mentioned the homemade tortillas and how great they were. My tacos were not made on fresh tortillas. The meat also tasted old and it had very little cheese on it. Overall, I think it is probably attractive to the college students nearby because it's quick and cheap but it's nothing near to the Mexican or TexMex food that are available in Texas. read more

I love this place! I eat here weekly. I usually get the steak burrito and chicken nachos. The prices are very reasonable and the service is exceptional. I'll order food on the phone and it's always ready by the time I get there. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a really great authentic Mexican food made by Asians lol. Not sure what all the fuss is about with this place, except that it's located next to a college and drunk kids probably account for the biggest fan base. To sum it up in one word: bland. No flavor. We ordered tacos, nachos, burritos, guacamole, and salsa, and the flavor quotient was hovering around a 3 on all items. Even a little dash of lime juice would've greatly improved the flavor. The salsa was extremely pureed and watery, you may as well drink it with a straw because it just runs right off the chips. The guacamole was also pureed to death for some strange reason. If I wanted to eat baby food, I'd just eat baby food. The nachos were just some tortilla chips with one spoon of guac next to one spoon of salsa next to one spoon of tomatoes. We had to mix them into nacho form ourselves. Very strange. The freshly-made chips were the highlight of the whole meal, sadly. And the prices are cheap. That about sums it up. read more

Really fast, really good. Some of the reviews here are polarizing, not sure why. Everything is freshly made and prepared, as you order it - marinated chicken, steak, shrimp, and of course, the tortillas themselves are pressed and cooked fresh. Hard to beat that. This small place was very busy on a Saturday at lunchtime so I'm glad we phoned in our order ahead. Our order was ready when we got there. We got a chicken combo dish with beans, rice and lettuce, a couple of hardshell meat tacos as well as chips and salsa. It was a great, filling lunch and not expensive at all. Everything was very fresh and quite tasty. I will not hesitate to order lunch there again but will be sure to order ahead again. They are open for dinner too though. read more

Love this place. Me and my boyfriend travel 45 minutes for their delicious tortillas. We split the fajita platter for $16! And have leftover for the next day. It's hard to resist the charm of fresco tortillas. I mean really, it's Tex-mex food in the atmosphere of Chinese take out! The best part is, it's actually good food. The fresh made tortilla gimmick will not disappoint you, I men's warehouse guarantee it! I love how the taco sauce comes in Chinese take out condiment packaging too. I keep talking about the style and gimmick of this place and forget to comment on the food because I love the concept so much, it's so original. It is not easy to get high quality, authentic tasting and reasonable Mexican food in the Hudson Valley area. Most of the casual burrito stand type places are overpriced and not very good. Fres Co is a happy exception to this. Here you get the kind of large, tasty burritos that West Coast, and even New York City natives have come to take for granted. They also have a good selection of tacos, tortillas, enchiladas and quesadillas. I usually stick to veggie burritos when I order Mexican, and the one offered here is a nice big and satisfying pinto (or black) bean burrito with guac, lettuce & tomato. As of this writing, it's only $4.69! On the other side of the Hudson, where I presently live, you have to pay close to twice that much for a much less authentic tasting specimen. The restaurant is mainly designed for take-out, as it's tiny, but on a nice day you can sit on a bench at the Vassar College campus across the street. If I could give this no stars I would. I ordered a vegetarian burrito with pinto beans and guac. The best thing I can say about it is that the beans were cooked. Other than that, the burrito was entirely filled with ice berg lettuce and almost nothing else. On a cold winter day, I do not want to eat a pile of flavorless and freezing lettuce. Additionally, there was no flavor and the only hot sauce on offer was from a Chinese restaurant. Tex Mex this was not.
