Great space - Mexican themed and done right. Complimentary chips/salsa with a green (mild) and red (spicy) sauce. The green was a little creamy and tasted great. The red was like water and very hot. I ordered the AL Pastor Super Tacos. Super means it comes with rice and guacamole. The corn tortillas that the tacos were on weren't crispy. The were tough and tasted stale. There were onions on top and I was hard pressed to find a radish or cucumber. The AL Pastor was dry and bland. Very little pineapple taste. The rice was also bland. I had to pour sauce on it and mix in guacamole to add any flavor at all. Speaking of the guacamole, very bland and tasteless. I did like the presentation of the guacamole, but the taste is what matters. The server was a young kid - I had to request silver ware and napkins. We've been going to Mole Moley restaurant for years and we're happy to see that they offer take out and delivery through doordash. The quality of food and the consistency of each separate visit makes Mole Mole one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. My favorite is the chimichanga with a side of guacamole and house-made chips. The food is legit Mexican food from Mexico. It's not gringo food with a Spanish name. It's so fresh and authentic. And... súper pricey for some things. Experience. .. one Fri evening around 8, way ahead of closing, I walk in and the lady owner looked as if she was annoyed I'd come in. I asked if they were closed bc she looked at me like why are you here. So after saying OK I'll LET you stay, two other customers come in. She looked more annoyed. They each got soup and tacos and each paid 19.xx for food. We all checked out together so I saw their tickets. I can't justify $20 on some tacos with old rice and beans. For what??? My wife and I first came across Mole Mole several weeks ago when dining at Yolo Cafe (next door). We decided then that we would make it a point to try this Mexican spot out at some point. My first instance of disappointment came when being told they didn't have any negro modello - my favorite when dining this type of food. I won't hold it against them, as Modello Especial was still available. The next round of disappointment came when we discovered that they don't give you any chips/salsa to start! We decided to have the guac and chips to satisfy our urge. The guac had a nice spice kick to it and that was enjoyable. We asked for a side of salsa to accompany it (pico de gallo) and later discovered that they charged us $5 extra for it... gotta love when restaurants do those types of things (another disappointing factor)... I'm not one to argue it with the waiter, but it was definitely going in the review The biggest disappointment to me came with the food itself. I opted for a spicy pork quesadilla (which contains pineapple - not listed on the menu. I enjoyed that aspect of it, but just a heads up for anyone who may not). I expected it to be a tad more flavorful, and the only thing salvaging it was the pineapple. It absolutely did not live up to the spicy advertisement to me at all. My wife on the other hand thoroughly enjoyed her vegetarian enchilada and that made it this restaurants saving grace for this review. That and the side single taco I had. That was delicious and came with a great spicy sauce on the side Now, I'll admit that my review may seem as though I hated this place but that wasn't the case. There are 3 location to choose from, we sampled the one across from Marist college on route 9 GO RED FOXES!! We started with the unibrow Frieda inspired nachos. They sound like your typical nachos; ground beef, beans, cheese, a little cilantro and crema but are topped with a mild mole sauce! That's the surprise in this cracker jacks box! Tasty tasty. Then we moved on to the tortilla salad, I was a bit disappointed, felt like the broth could have been developed with a few more es-spices. But it was just the right medicine for a cold wintery day. Unfortunately my belly was full and the adventure stopped there. I rated Molé Molé a shining 3 prong star because of the great company and tasty dishes. A bite more: Sources tell me the steak tacos are a very good choice. Add some of the buffalo hot sauce and enjoy. It was fast service at a decent price! My moms plantains weren't even fully cooked. I was disappointed because I remember ordering food from here before and it was good. Idk what happened. Mole Mole is the best place I can go to get my Mexican food fix. It's fairly small but has a good number of tables of all sizes. I really like the art on the walls. When I came here for lunch, one person was manning the register and waiting on tables, but he was having no problem keeping up. We just weren't sure whether to order at the counter or wait for him to come to the table. I like the fact that the cooler contains a number of all-sugar sodas, which I prefer over the brand-name corn-syrup-added ones. My order, a burrito with mole chicken, was quite tasty, served with a side of rice and salad with salsa. The other order, vegetarian tacos, came out as a vegetarian burrito - still very tasty, and a generous portion, but not what he ordered. That was the only problem with what was otherwise a very enjoyable lunch. Be a little careful pulling into and out of the lot here, especially during lunchtime. We had 3 guests and she only brought 2 of us water, never brought chips to the Table. I ate here recently on a girls night out. It was delicious and some of the best Mexican I've had on the east coast. I ordered the veggie enchiladas wth mole sauce. The sauce was intensely flavored and delicious. My dinepanions ordered other dishes (whose names escape me) and they were raving about them too. My only complaint was the service. Our server had absolutely no personality and a limited concept of waitressing. We ordered two appetizers that were brought out exactly 30 seconds before the entrees. Not good. Thank God they were delicious but even so, its not what you do. At the end of the meal we just sat there with empty plates, not knowing if there was a desert menu or if the check would be delivered to the table. We never received an answer to our questions about a drinks menu although we could clearly see Tequila and beer just a few feet away. To the servers credit, she was completely unfazed by us splitting the bill 3 ways. I'll be back for the food and crossing my fingers that the service gets better too. read more

Ok, maybe a 4.5. I love Mole Mole. They're advertised as fresh, light Mexican food, and that's what it is, as well as being super tasty. I usually get enchiladas in mole or picosas sauce...or the mango shrimp salad and often pair it with a guacamole taco. My boyfriend and I had a burrito craving one night at around 9:30 so we made the short drive over to Mole Mole. Prior to going, we looked up the hours online and Google said that they were open until 10 PM however when we got there, the doors were locked. Okay, we called the store and inquired about their hours to see what they actually were. The lady on the phone told us they were "usually open until 9:30". Usually? Okay, whatever, we'll give it a try another night. So the next time we go there around dinnertime to get burritos to go. The burritos were big, but they were really really disappointing. For starters, you couldn't pick it up and eat it because it was too big and would have fallen apart - you needed a knife and fork. I got mine with chicken, cheese, rice and beans, and lettuce, however the rice was served as a side, as was the lettuce. So inside my burrito was just refried beans, cheese, and chicken, which wasn't what I expected. My boyfriend got the carnitas burrito and his was the same way. Overall I was pretty disappointed. Maybe other things on their menu are better than their burritos, but I'd honestly choose Chipotle over Mole Mole if I wanted a burrito with fresh, tasty ingredients. read more

I'm from Cali so naturally I crave a good Mexican street meal like I do KBBQ. I heard El Azteca Mexican Deli was great so I went there and wasn't impressed. Then my friend took me to Mole Mole and right off the bat, the atmosphere was inviting, hot sauce selection was AWESOME, and most importantly the soft taco selection and price was amazing! I just learned that my professor here in CIA owned it in the past (under another name) and he still thinks the place is great! Must try and all locations are great. read more

I am surprised about the complaints here for service. The numerous times my husband and I have been here have always been prompt and attentive service. This is our favorite mexican restaurant in the area - the food is really delicious, and better than anything I've had in the area (yes, better than mexicali blue, which I've tried and feel is overrated). I love their varied assortment of hot sauce. We tried the Valentina hot sauce, because we have a daughter by the same name :), and were happy to experience a markedly different flavor and style of hot sauce that is now our everyday go-to hot sauce brand. Ever since frequently the City of Poughkeepsie location from my college years in the early 2000s, I always got cheese enchiladas with mole sauce. I have yet to get something else here - I can't bring myself to do it. Seriously... the cheese enchiladas with mole sauce are so amazing that I can't bring myself to try something else. I do now get a blend of veggie and cheese, instead of just cheese, but can't resist the mole sauce. best I've ever had... Speaking of best I ever had, their cinnamon nachos are out of this world!! The waitresses speak such little English that they mess up the order every time. Also, their website has a menu with prices far lower than you are charged when your food comes. The boyfriend got fajitas with rice and beans (heads up that's $2 extra but we knew about that ordering). First the rice and beans came out a while before the fajitas so they were cold by the time that those came out. Then the fajitas came out without any tortillas. We asked for tortillas (which the menu says the fajitas do come with them) and the waitress took so long to bring them out that he had to eat the platter without them (or have to eat everything cold). We gave up on getting refills of our drinks too. Waitress was clearly more interested in just leaning on the front counter than to check up on us. A simple "how's your meal" would have gone a long way. I would understand if she was busy, but at one point we were the only people in there. I agree with the poor service reviews....the people are not friendly and look angry that you're even there. When you get the mole on a good day....it is very good....there have been other times when its just way too sweet and not very spicy. Also agree that you really have to watch them....they leave out stuff all the time and you end up paying for more than you get....seems calculated to me...no mistake. read more
