We had the Black Forest cake for our office January birthdays celebration today and it was really good. Chocolate cake was nice and moist and not too sweet. Frosting was light and went perfectly with the cake. Plenty of small shaved chocolate as topping with some tart cherries. Perfection!

When I am in this area, I sometimes stop to get a pastry or two. I like that they bake their own goods. The supermarkets equivalents I don't even buy because of all the overuse of artificial colors and ingredients, preservatives, etc. I've tried many of the pastries in the many years I've been here. My biggest complaint is that they use way too much sugar . That being said, my favorite two items in years past are no longer made. The strawberry cake - with gobs of whipped cream frosting, fresh strawberries. and glaze (yes, the glaze has artificial red coloring) was simple and available all year. It was my favorite cheat dessert. Now it's gone. The other item I really liked were the German cookies - hamantaschen. But they're both just a memory. I've had the large wagon wheels with the different toppings and they're more just sweet more than flavorful. What I like are the lemon blueberry pound cakes - moist and not overly sweet. Pastries are $3.75 as I write this. The bear claws have great almond paste inside a sweet pastry. The blueberry muffins I've had have blueberries in every bite. A sugar bomb with fiber is their honey bran muffin. Their mixed fruit tart to me is disappointing, despite beautiful presentation but again more sweet than tasty. The last one had more canned fruit pieces than fresh fruit. The carrot cupcake is good but - like all cupcakes - are pricey (I think $6). For the same price you can get a quarter carrot sheet cake at Trader Joes. (Actually my home made carrot cake is better than both). I did enjoy their sourdough bread. They also sell brewed coffee though it's not flavorful either and sometimes bitter or warm instead of hot but cheaper than Starbucks across the way. They do make good and beautiful cakes though I've only order one many years ago. Last, their pies - I've had apple - and the filling was for me and my guests too sweet. Service is good, though they don't have a typical checkout. There's a fee to use a credit or debit card. They use an adding machine to total your purchase, and they walk to the one register for change. Still, Am glad they are still around. PS - they have no tables inside but they have them outside.

Free samples, we did buy slices of cake!

Love this place ! The desserts are wonderful ! In French, "Les desserts sont merveilleux !" We purchased carrot cake & it was divine. We also purchased German chocolate cake, and French bread. My favorite by far is the carrot cake. Usually I have some constructive feedback, but when it's done perfectly like this, perfect recipe. Furthermore, each day, for the past three days I ate some, and it was just as delicious as day one. Additionally, the French Bread was crispy, on the outside and deliciously soft inside. Customer service was extremely nice, samples were offered, they knew the ingredients of each cake, very professional. The best part of being here is seeing all the Halloween, fall themed, autumn cakes. For example, pls. Watch the video clips. Then you could see how beautiful they look, and what I love about going curious that I know the inside is going to be just as delicious as the outside!

My husband ordered my birthday cake from French's Bakery and Danny went above and beyond to make it special for my 50th birthday. We asked for a coconut cake with a delicate cream filling and decorated with peacock feathers. It was delicious and red carpet worthy. Myself, our guests and even the restaurant wait staff were raving about it. It was huge and beautiful. , highly recommend.

I bought a Groupon and was excited to go try this bakery. However, upon entering the employee told me that Groupon had run the promotion without their consent. Since I drove all that way, I ended up getting a ham and cheese croissant. It was your average ham and cheese. They have a large selection of pastries, cakes, and cookies that look interesting. Danishes and danish wheels are their specialty per the sales gal. They have variety in spades. I had a sample of the cinnamon bread they had out and it was on the dryer side. Parking was easy. Service is average. Outdoor seating available. Please visit to create your own experience.

Disappointing! Flavorless. Wasted 75.00 on cookies to cheer my family up. Nicely decorated though though.

Cute little bakery with excellent offerings. The staff is super sweet and always incredibly friendly. I really dig the wagon wheels and the danishes which come in several sizes. Mmmm mmm

Cute little bakery. First time going to this bakery, tasted ok. There was hair in my pastries. I took a picture of one but I kept finding small ones throughout.

This has quickly grown to be one of my favorite bakeries ... I bake myself so I don't give out this compliment lightly. The cakes are absolutely delicious. And I love that they give you a variety of cake flavors and fillings to choose from. There is also a wide variety of already made cakes, cupcakes and other treats to choose from. If you are a fan of beautifully decorated cakes that don't use fondant, this is your place!!. I absolutely love the flower work on the cakes. Simply impeccable every time. The staff is always so courteous and patient and helpful. This is the only place that I get my mom's birthday cake from. The lemon cake, The cream cheese frosting is to die for. Let's not forget about $1 cupcake Tuesdays. It's my favorite day of the week and you cannot beat that bargain. If you want a custom cake be sure to submit the order at least one week in advance. I'm really a cupcake and cake fan, but those cheese danishes and those butter/ sugar cookies deserve an honorable mention. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything from this bakery. And the most important part, they are very affordable!

Birthday party cupcakes taste and look like the grocery store ones. So expensive for what you get. Unfortunately We had leftovers because nobody liked them. They were for a kids party... says a lot. If you're thinking of buying from here. RUN ! Moulin is your biggest bet.

When we ordered the cinnamon roll, there was no option to heat it up, so we thought they would have done it already. When it was served, it was rock solid. So, we asked them to heat it up. However, after a few minutes, it still wasn't that gooey and the inner core was still pretty tough. Perhaps they could have warmed it up so that it was evenly softened. Overall, the cinnamon roll was alright. It was a brioche roll so you would think it might be lighter and fluffy, but ours was pretty dry. However, the cream on top was insanely good. It carried the roll. The hazelnut twist was kind of what you would expect. A twisted pastry but with a hefty amount of hazelnut-chocolate spread thru the layers. We sat in a little nook, where there was a magnetic black board, where there were word tiles you could rearrange in any way. It was a nice place to just look around at all the sentences the community wrote. Chess tables were also available as extra seating. Overall, the service was good, but could be better when warming up pastries, so that the customer can enjoy them properly!

The cream is super smooth and filled with actual durian pulp--no artificial flavor at all. The sponge is so light and fluffy that it almost melts in your mouth, and it pairs perfectly with the rich, fruity durian cream. I already love fresh durian and durian ice cream, but this was my first time trying a durian cake, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The 6-inch cake was $68, so it's definitely a treat, but I'd happily buy it again. Just make sure to order a few days ahead. The service was amazing too. Since it was our anniversary, they added a cute "Happy Anniversary" sign to the cake at no extra charge. When we picked it up, they even reminded us to head straight home because the summer heat could affect the cake. Sadly, the jasmine tea cheesecake was one of the worst desserts we've had. It tasted so unpleasant that we ended up throwing away what you see in the photo because we simply couldn't take another bite. The checkout experience was also a little unusual. The cashier told us the credit card machine wasn't working, so the only payment options were cash or sending a Zelle payment directly to the owner. There was a small handwritten sticky note with an individual's name and phone number for the Zelle payment, which felt a bit odd. To be fair, there wasn't a large selection available when we visited, so it's possible they have other pastries or desserts that are much better than what we tried. However, based on our experience, the item we purchased was disappointing, and the $12 definitely didn't feel well spent. On the positive side, the décor and overall aesthetic were lovely and were probably the bakery's strongest feature. But as the saying goes, you can't judge a book by its cover... and you can't judge a bakery by its ambience either.
