Thanksgiving on a plate.
Kevin P.

I have not been to the French Pub in a few years. Nothing against the restaurant just kind of forgot about it. I decided to try it again and I ordered take-out. I ordered the Thanksgiving on a Plate meal. Very impressed with the quality of food and the pricing was fair. There was enough food to be split between two people. The stuffing which is homemade was delicious. Turkey was moist and the gravy had a good taste. Highly recommended. Will be back to try other menu items.

The box dinner ( I hid the bones)

I am back home for a visit after 20+yrs and of course in need a a beef on weck. And it came with wings! Yes! However, the beef on weck was a makeshift brioche bun, the celery could have had a trim, no blue cheese, the smallest of small horseradish and the pickle wasn't bad. The best wings I have had since I have been on my buffalo bucket food list!! Perfect! Coleslaw is empty definitely going for another try. Just something different or just wings ‍. Btw- it was a pickup order

My fiancé and I come here often for lunch before I go into work. When you walk in, the bar always has people sitting at it. Then, when you get seated they bring you popcorn to start. For some reason restaurant popcorn is always so good! I got chicken fingers and fries which is always good there! Not the homemade type or anything, but still good. He got a chicken finger panini which he always gets as well! All I wish is that the portions were bigger, but I get it with the prices and everything going up that's hard to do! We will continue to come back!

Stopped for dinner on a Friday evening, it was busy but we were sat right away. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was cozy. The beer cheese soup was delicious and the pretzel stick to dip was a nice touch! The buffalo chicken panini was good but the best was the French dip. It was meaty & cheesy and with the au jus it was perfect!

Cozy, comfy atmosphere with a wonderful, friendly staff! Service is top notch. Not exaggerating, all the staff was welcoming, helpful and made me feel so comfortable. Beer selection is very good. Food was out in a very nice time. Quality of our dinner was excellent. No complaints, advice or anything we were not happy with. Portions are great. Prices are in line with market. I had the French onion panini. Roast beef with mozzarella and Dijon mayo. Plenty of beef. Great flavor. Served with real onion rings. I cannot wait to go back and try another item on the menu.

Came here with a group of four during local restaurant week. We had a few drinks at the bar while we were waiting to be seated. We all ordered the French dip for our meal. It was very good and the perfect size. For apps, I ordered the cheesy pickle egg rolls. They were ok. A little mushy and if fried a little more, would have been very good!

Great place to enjoy a meal if you happen to be in the area! Food was amazing and the atmosphere was very inviting. Our server was very attentive and had a wonderful attitude! Will be coming back if I'm ever in the area!

Firecracker chicken sandwich with bacon and a pretzel roll.

Had the Firecracker Chicken, Chips and a Caesar Salad. The salad was fresh and delicious, definitely hit the spot! The chicken was good, but I expected more spice and flavor. The chipotle mayo was a bit lacking, next time I'd ask for extra on the side. Overall, great service and I'd definitely come back!

Had a glass of the barefoot moscato, there's a huge bar for all your cocktail needs.I choose an appetizer of the beer cheese soup which to me tasted like melted Velveeta and came with a pretzel. With speedy service and a smile I got my entree of the spaghetti and meatballs , a nice size portion but the sauce was a little to spicy for my liking.Dessert was a nice and delicious portion of the peanut butter pie.

Ask the Community - French Pub

Does the French Pub do fish fry every night, or only on Friday night? And is fish fry offered year round, or only during Lenten season?

Only on Friday all year long and it's Haddock!

I love short ribs and theirs is tender and flavorful. My husband ordered clams with chorizo and pasta and loved it, stating it wasn't a "heavy" dish. Drink choices were good. Place was clean, parking in back. We would return!

First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

Rusty Buffalo Pub - Looked great, but the sauce didn't do it for me. Kinda tomatoey?

One of my favorite places back home in Massachusetts is a little place called the Black Sheep…read moreTavern (I know, I'm reviewing the Rusty Buffalo, bear with me). Great pizza, good wings, fun atmosphere--you know the kind of place I'm talking about, and if you don't and you're near the Rusty Buffalo, go on in and you'll see what I mean. Anyway, I was traveling with my family through the Buffalo area and we figured since we're here, we really ought to have wings for dinner, right? After reading a ton of Yelp reviews, we settled on the Rusty Buffalo. I reached out on Facebook (they were closed at that time) to ask how much lead time they needed for an order of wings, and they got right back to me. 30 minutes, so plan ahead! I phoned in the order so that it would be ready for us to pick up as soon as we got into town--they were really nice on the phone and even called me back when we got disconnected. I ordered four chicken finger dinners and 40 wings--I was about to order extra fries, but the lady on the phone stopped me and told me the dinners each came with easily enough fries for two people. Not many places will undersell a customer like that, and I really appreciated it, since traveling long distance with leftovers can be a pain. I walked in to pick up the order, and it was like I was back home again. Great atmosphere, friendly people, good music, and the food smelled amazing. We got it back to our hotel, checked in, unloaded, and sat down to eat. Everything was still piping hot. I strongly recommend the Honey Sriracha--it's addictive. It was my first time trying Chiavetta's sauce, too, and it was also excellent. Their house Buffalo sauce was some of the best I've had anywhere. However, the Cajun dry rub was everyone's favorite, hands down. Their wings were all crispy and delicious, even the ones that had been sauced heavily. I wouldn't hesitate to go there again anytime I'm passing through.

She inquired about my preferences, and I mentioned I liked margaritas and old fashioneds. She suggested a drink that was exactly what I wanted - not sweet, and I was very happy with my choice. I also tried the Ruby Red Kolsch, which was a tasty grapefruit-flavored beer. We wanted something light to eat since we were hungry but had dinner plans in one hour. The bartender made a great suggestion for a light appetizer. Customer service was good and friendly. The pricing was also reasonable: we had one beer, one mixed drink, and an appetizer, and our total was just $21.
