We discovered Fewwsoulcaffe in 2019 while shopping around town and looking for a place to have healthy lunch. Since then we have visited several times and also brought many of our meat eating friends. Even some serious meet eaters loved the food here and could not believe that it was all vegan. My wife and I are in love with their Truffel burgers. I usually order it as is and my wife without buns, either way it tastes fantastic. We have also enjoyed the desserts here. They are unbelievably good. Hard to believe that the cream and cheese cake is all vegan. The outdoor seating is what we prefer these days and is always clean and comfortable. The food tasted fresh and although the pricing is on the higher end, it was worth it knowing that it is a "gourmet" cafe. My friend got the Kabocha Salad with a side of Tuna, and I got the Grilled Veggie Panini. We both liked it and finished the whole thing! The grilled veggie panini has a good pesto spread on it. It was a little too greasy for me, but the veggies tasted great and the sourdough fresh. I liked the side salad, it was pretty good, although I would like more cherry tomatoes and candied pecans, I think I only got two of each. Ate the cauliflower with the alfredo though and it wasn't too bad. The alfredo comes with a garlic bread. Not creamy at all and could use more sauce but still good. The panini was delicious and generous portions. I'd recommend it. I asked for dijon mustard and its surprisingly tasted good with it. Server are nice. I love Freesoulcaffe. I've dined in with friends and my partner (and our pup on the patio) and get take out once a week and they are always nice. Not sure why there's a trend here with the customer service and people not being happy with it. Maybe I'm low maintenance? I recommend the truffle burger, sphaghettini, the ramen, the paninis (each once I've had is great) and the sausage pizza. Oh, I also love the matcha granitas. Oh boy, I'm in trouble. More specifically, my wallet is in trouble. Freesoulcaffe is probably my favorite new restaurant in OC...maybe even my favorite restaurant in general. I guess my wallet is going to have to take a couple more hits for me to find out. A friend and I were starving after a long day of activities and we came in around 8:25...5 minutes before the kitchen closed. Normally, I hate doing this since I know all the employees just want to go home at that point but we decided to just go for it. That being said, the restaurant staff, especially the hostess, was so friendly and attentive! Our orders came out super fast and the quality was still A+, which is awesome. I ordered the hatch chili burger and my friend ordered the Alfredo gnocchi with a side of bread. I just took a tiny bite of the gnocchi and I was left wanting more. Normally, I dislike both Alfredo and gnocchi, but this one was just so soft (yet it held its shape very well) and flavorful. The cashew Alfredo was SO GOOD! The hatch chili burger was recommended to me by the waitress, and I'm glad I got it. The lentil mushroom patty was so damn flavorful and it was perfectly complemented by the slightly spicy sriracha aioli and cashew cheese. They mentioned that they started serving miso, kimchi, and curry ramen, so I would love to try that out next time I come...or maybe the panini poulet...I guess I'll just have to go back! Got treated out by a few friends of mine to this place. We were here on a Saturday during brunch time. It's right on main street in Tustin so like most main streets, you have to look around a bit for parking but luckily I found one on the side of the building quickly. My friends raved about the vegan burger so we all ordered each and shared a miso ramen. The burger came with a side of salad and exactly 4 half sliced cherry tomatoes with each salad. Yeah, I actually counted the tomatoes for some reason. Lol I'm weird and notice things like that. =P The burger was pretty good but it's definitely not the most amazing vegan/vegetarian food I had. Surprisingly, the simple salad was one of the better tasting things. I do have to say either the male barista was killer in making all our coffee and blended drinks or the store itself has good drinks. I got the matcha blended drink and it was perfect. My friends got hot drinks and after the meal got mocha blended drinks and I had a taste of that and the taste was right on. In December 2016, FreeSoulCaffe remodeled which gives this already wonderful, vegan restaurant a more relaxed atmosphere. They have a new hostess stand at the entrance/patio. Whether you are dining outdoors or indoors, music will be played for your eating pleasure. The interior of FreeSoulCaffe is my favorite because I love the seats that swing out from under the table; unique, stylish, and a space saver. Before the remodel, there was a long community table with these seats but now...an array of tables with normal chairs and swing-out seats. Their sandwiches, paninis, and burgers come with a light, side salad and dressing. Atlantic (vegan fish) sandwich and Truffle burger are among the favorites. Pasta dishes are quite filling...so eat slowly before you stuff yourself. Pizzas are perfect for one person but are served after 5pm. On hot/warm days, quench your thirst with kombucha or ice blended drinks like the Mocha Granita. The dessert display is no longer but the desserts remain...on a dessert menu. I would highly recommend their breakfast menu...traditional or green tea waffles with artfully, displayed fresh fruit plate and hot chocolate (cute design on the surface). Service is always with a smile and food arrives quickly. Most of the staff are very nice. They are closed on Sundays. Free street parking and public parking across the street. read more

Love this place. Came here after a year and oh boy I am glad I remembered. Got the fennel pizza and miso ramen. The ramen was delicious. I generally set my expectations low for vegan ramen, but the soup flavor, noodle texture, and veggie combination did very good. The best way I can describe it is "intentional" as compared to other vegan ramens I've had. The pizza was incred. The crust texture here most closely resembled my favorite pizza from Rome. Weird huh? Stopped by for lunch earlier this week. The place is located in Tustin in a small downtown area. When you walk up you will see someone at the front who will seat you. They offer inside and outside seating areas. Their menu offers a good variety of Vegan options. I opted for the frittata and it was delicious. They offered a butter nut squash and a potato and leek soup the last couple times I was here. The day I was in their soup de jour was a mushroom type soup. All the ingredients are absolutely fresh. They also offer some options for loose leaf tea but my absolute favorite is there matcha latte. Have brought my sister here who is vegan and she loves this place. read more

They used to have a dessert display, but they did some renovation and took out the display. Ambience: the ambience there is really good. I ordered the vegan take on ham and eggs breakfast, with a side salad and slice of bread. I had never tried vegan ham before, and although I could tell it wasn't traditional, I actually quite liked it. The restaurant is located in Old Town Tustin, a very peaceful area known for trendy restaurants and its brick walls. Last but not least, the peanut butter torte was as good as ever, but the price went from $6.50 to $9.5. For the small selection OC has for vegan restaurants, this is one of the better ones. Top 5. Um my number one is Gratitude. Au Lac, Seabirds, Bodhi Tree are my other faves out here. Drawbacks- not organic but they say they do use organic foods when available. Some of the prices don't make sense because they don't offer gluten free pizza or bread. Some of the vegetable dishes are too oily, which defeats the purpose in my opinion. Would I come here again? Exception plant based restaurant in Old Town Tustin! Came here on a beautiful Saturday summer evening for an early dinner. We were seated promptly and found a great table on the patio area. The overal ambience was attune to a casual date night, but there were both friend and family groups around. There were 3 in our party and we each ordered from a different section of the menu and got a great feeling for all variety of offerings available. We started with the brussel sprouts. For mains, we had (1) ea. of the gnocchi, grilled vegetable panini, and truffle burger. We were all extremely happy with our choices as each plate was bursting with fresh summer flavor. After scoping the choices of other diners around out, I think we may have missed out on not ordering a pizza. They looked absolutely delicious and when I come back (which I will), I will make sure to try one out. To finish out our meal, we indulged in one of the special desert offering; ice cream cookie sandwich! This isn't something you find vegan too often, so we couldn't say no.
