This review is for the rude and poor customer service I received at the Newberg Freddy Kroger Pharmacy. I dropped off a prescription and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I came back in 30 minutes and stood in the long line again only to be told the prescription was not ready but it should be ready in a few minutes. I was told I could wait and they would call me when it was ready. I decided I would wait a few minutes until it was done. I sat there for another 30 minutes and no one called me up. I went up to the drop off counter since the line was still very long and was told the prescription had been ready for some time. So why did I have to wait so long and not be notified when it was ready and the Pharmacist (tall lady with blonde hair) told me that if I didn't like it I could transfer my prescription elsewhere. I then commented on the lack of customer service and how rude she was. She then threatened to call Security on me for questioning her lack of customer service and rudeness. She thought the whole thing was funny. She should be fired. Others in line were also complaining about the long waits in line and the mix up on their orders. Several people had wrong billing on their orders and needed to be redone and rather than taking them of to the side they held up everyone in line to order to correct their mistakes. Not only did they lie to me about the wait time, but they completely ignored me and other customers. This place has a serious lack of training with little or no management and could care less about customer service. Bad, Bad Kroger. I will be taking the Pharmacist's advise as I will be transferring all my family prescriptions elsewhere. read more

This was my first time using the online shopping service ClickList - I may never "go grocery shopping" again!! It was so easy, I added to and changed my list several times to get everything I needed. Pick-up was sooper easy and fast. The substitutions (only 3) were totally acceptable, the produce was as good as I would have picked out myself. In these times of social isolation due to COVID 19 it is great to have such a wonderful service to rely upon. I will use again. read more

But one letter in the name spelled wrong and couldn't pick up money $100 to wire the amount that was sent and for what the hassle of this absolutely a BUMMER!!! And very inconvenient!!!!!!!!! Bought eggs online o. September 15th 2019 because I didn't have my card on me. Went to the store went to customer service, the lady obviously had no clue what she was doing and was extremely lazy. She called the pick up person and they said they don't pick my order ( one thing of eggs) tell noon! I asked if I could just get them myself the lady just looked at me like uh I don't know. Instead of asking the pick up person if I could she just had the order cancelled and wanted me to pay for them now. I said I don't have my card that's why I ordered them online...and she didn't say anything else. Please train your employees better. What's not to like about Fred Meyer? It really is a 'one stop shopping center'. The Newberg location tends to be pretty clean and they carry most of the things I need on a regular basis. Staff tends to be helpful when needed and I personally like the self checkout option, for which they have 8 different self check registers. I'm not sure why more stores don't offer this option...and why some of them are actually taking away such a simple convenience (yeah yeah, i get the possibility of people not scanning items). This store is very large and has almost everything you can think of. There is a full grocery store, they sell clothing, children's toys, houseware, and so much more. They even have a gas station in the parking lot. Prices are a little higher than other discount stores like Walmart but the store is very clean and there are always people's​ to help you out when you need. The customer service has been great for me. read more

The Newberg Fred Meyer has the best selection of gluten-free products in town. They have Udi's bread in the freezer next to the bakery display case and other GF frozen foods in the freezer case next to the organic aisles. read more

This is by far my favorite Freddies! Of course like all of the rest they have a great selection and pretty good prices. They always have lots of clearance to look through which is always a plus. Nicely laid out store and much nicer than many of the other Fred's I've been in. I remember when this one had it's grand opening and I was handing out freebies like light bulbs at the grocery door. I miss the entrance on the yard care end of the store. One employee in particular is offensive to us whenever we try to shop in the children's section. My daughter is a very tall 10 year old and this employee refuses to allow us to use the children's dressing room because the employee thinks my daughter is older than she is. We buy the gas there a lot! We also fill all of our prescriptions here, the pharmacy is SO much better than the other ones in town. read more

I love it here!! The only critique I would have is that the cashiers can be a little on the snippy side/don't care side and it gets super crazy busy near holidays and on weekends. I am a former Georgia resident so I am not used to almost being run over every five seconds when I shop but i think it is more the location of the store and not the actual store lol. read more

I grew up coming to Freddy's, been going here since it opened. I remember when Buck Williams showed up and signed autographs.

I switched to the Freddy's pharmacy a while back because our local pharmacy wasn't open on weekends or late at night. I had been thrilled with their service, until I encountered the female pharmacist there, who always seems to make stuff difficult. The male pharmacist, however, is awesome! He always does what my doctor and I want and has a great attitude while doing it . Update. I've decided to write a review on the great cashier I always end up with. Jocelyn, she might have those tattoos, a ring piercing thing up by her eye (a tear drop?) and her playboy bunny earring in her ear, the wild make up, her long nails. Despite all of this, her strong cashiering abilities shine through! She knows how to work her computer, she's fast, she's friendly, she KNOWS where to put those long talons on her keyboard without even looking. I feel like a lot of people judge appearances, but who cares what they look like as long as they do the job you want them to do and they're happy about doing it and servicing your snotty ass at the same time! Holla girl. Keep up your good work. Love your lashes. They're longer than the list of people I hate. read more

The Newberg Fred Meyer is so convenient and they are very supportive to local groups and organizations. I will check Fred Meyer before going any place else. The only problem is, I always end up with more things than "what was on my list!". Being a frequent shopper, I end up having a thing or two to return now and then, but it is never a problem. The customer service folks are quick and professional. I have to admit I have my favorite register clerks and I will wait if I have to, just to go through their line. read more

I am not happy with the cashier named Kaley! When checking out Saturday 11/24/12, I asked Kaley if there was any coupons for the items i purchased. All the others chashiers would always look them up for. kaley did not want to be bother! When I got back home the mail was delivered. This is possibly the worst experience I have ever had at an establishment. The manager of the electronics department is a condescending person, who is horrible at customer service. She deserves to be fired. I have been shopping at Fred Meyers for years and I will never spend another dime at another Fred Meyer store. I was trying to return a Ps4 that I had purchased the night before for my boyfriend, it had been unopened an she continued to tell me it had even though it was in the same condition I had received it in. Even though I repeated the same return policy the employee had told me the night before she disregarded everything I said and even refused to give me a gift card. Just another high school drop out who feels entitled I guess, horrible horrible customer service I will be writing a letter to corporate and do whatever I can to make sure she never treats another customer like this again. read more

I will never come back here, I may never even go to another fred meyer because of the experience I had here. They treat you like your a criminal, the loss prevention followed me around not even 2 feet behind me. When I asked if I could help them they simply ignored me and proceeded to say rude things about myself and the friend I was with on the store phone she was on. I understand the importance of loss prevention and would have been glad to have them look in my purse for any items I was not supposed to have. I don't steal things, and I don't like to be treated like a common criminal. Worst treatment I have ever received from ANY business ever. read more

this is the best fred's i have ever been to. they are part of the community and demonstrate it in unique ways--like selling produce from local growers. their cashiers are not angry, and they are nice. the lady in the wine section was amazing, helped me find a decent malbec. there is an old lady there that talks about the health issue in her family to whoever comes through her line, and she makes me smile. i know the people who work there, the former students, the guy with the crazy eyes, the guy who is flamboyantly gay and the lady who works in the garden shop and we talk about our kids. i wish yelp would tell the hours of the store around christmas because that is why i am here. read more

For the pharmacy only: Once again the person, who shall remain unnamed, again made me cry at the pharmacy counter. This last summer she made me cry while trying to figure out how to pay for eye steroids (name brand, as the generic has a different preservative and works differently). The price jumped significantly and I couldn't pay, but needed the meds (without them there's a high risk for blindness). She was cold, mean and not helpful or at all sympathetic. Luckily, another woman jumped in an offered a prescription card that dramatically reduced the price. Thank goodness for her. But again, this last week, I asked her about a pain med refill following dental surgery and she was awful. I had dropped it off at a different Fred Meyer pharmacy and was wondering if it was on file. I had a bottle in my purse and pulled out to say, "it's this medicine" and she told me that she couldn't fill it because the bottle was in my hand. Ugh. She told me it wasn't there and basically scoffed at me asking for more. I called the original pharmacy and sure enough, it's there, but you have to fill it where you dropped it off. Couldn't she have just told me that? If you have it on hold at one pharmacy, then that's where you need to fill it. I have a chronic disease which takes me to the pharmacy a lot and it makes a difference on how I'm treated. I can only imagine that she's treated others without respect and gave them her well-practiced judgement eyes, tone and words. I'll start filling my meds elsewhere. read more
