ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! Came to visit the wine scene in Oregon from California and this tasting room has to be my favorite. I loved how nicely tucked away this location is. This was an accidental find but a great one. If you are looking for amazing views, great service and no fluff then this is the place for you. This is a family owned/ran winery that is build on the family property which I loved hearing that. The wines are all bold reds which were great. Given that they were all served at the same time we did not hear much about each wine but that was fine by me. I enjoyed my experience at this winery and I will certainly be back To note: there is a 90 min maximum. I was a little put off that there were plenty of open tables, we just finished our glass of wine when someone came over to pretty much "remind" us that we had met the 90min maximum aka get out is how we took it. We were put off because there were so many empty tables around us. Overall I would recommend and I would visit again. read more

Great experience. The food and wine is perfect. We were greeted warmly when we entered, and the service continued to be excellent thru our visit. We definitely want to return and enjoy the beautiful outside area. The wines were excellent as well, as out particular favorites were the Barbera, Petite Sirah, Pinor, and Rose. We recently opted to cancel our membership here. They don't take reservations and this has been a sore spot for us for some time. We enjoy bringing our dogs and sitting outside on the patio. Unfortunately, due to the lack of reservation system this has been hit or miss. You can sit at some other outside spaces around the lawn with your dog but it does not include table service. We like to plan winery visits out and would appreciate the ability to reserve a patio table. You used to be able to choose your flight (see my previous review). Currently, they only have one flight available that features 5 of their 12 wines. When more whites are available they do have a second flight you can choose. You can ask to try other bottles but we miss having a bigger variety within the flight. The tasting room manager was friendly and professional when addressing these concerns. We appreciated her honesty that there likely won't be a reservation system for small groups any time soon. read more

We were in Newberg for the weekend for a friend's wedding and we had time to kill so we wanted to wine taste. Ya know, since we were in wine country of Oregon. Wanted something simple and casual so we came here. Had good reviews and pictures of the view were nice! Clearly this is not a winery as they do not make their own wine, but nonetheless it was a really nice visit. We're from southern California so doing on some lovely wine in literally a forrest was such a vibe. The service was good, snacks were good, and our wine flights were delightful! Stopped by Parrett Mountain while in the Willamette Valley for some wine tasting. They do not take reservations, and we showed up right when they opened at 11 and were the only ones there for about a half hour. First, the place is beautiful! The tasting room is about 3 years old and looks like a mountain lodge. The view off the back deck is incredible- we spent a few hours enjoying it during our tasting. They basically do a pour-your-own, where they bring you pours of the whole flight and you go at your own pace. The woman working was incredibly kind and friendly. The wines weren't my favorite, which is the only reason this wasn't a 5 star review. Definitely a great spot to spend some time tho! read more

Local lumber built the modern cabin-esque property and while grapes are imported from Washington the wines are made on the property. We were recommended this spot and had been meaning to stop by but hadn't found time. Well for Valentine's Day they had chocolate and wine pairing days so we immediately booked. The location is stunning! The venue itself is super cozy and inviting. We were immediately greeted, checked in, and walked over to our table. I was a member for awhile. It's a beautiful place. Two things happened though. The first one was a friend and I shared a bottle of wine and a charcuterie and something else I can't remember. We decided we were going to get one more glass and the server asked if we had a driver. Lol what? I belong to a few wineries and have never been asked that, especially after a small amount of wine. Then there was some mix up about my pickup and I drove all the way there to be told they messed up and I didn't have a pickup. They argued amongst themselves in front of me (mother daughter maybe?) I felt uncomfortable. She begrudgingly gave me some wine for my troubles, but holy hell ladies. This location is beautiful! Surrounded by trees and shade and its just so green. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is knowledgable and very friendly. They have good snacks! I enjoyed the artichoke dip (had pita bread and crackers) and the charcuterie board had a delicious variety of meats, cheeses and fruits (grapes, dried mangos, dried cranberries or raisins). The wine selection is very attractive and the overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I'm a red wine drinker and I enjoyed the red wine flight and loved the cabernet. Wow. Wow. Wow. So we came here, my friend and I, with our 4 kids (2 kids each,) to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon. A friend from California told us that the wine was great and it was a beautiful tasting room. I agree strongly with both of these statements. One of the owners was serving us and she was super hospitable and kind to us. She suggested we sit outside since we had brought our own food and despite the rain we still had a beautiful view. We enjoyed the tasting flight and each took home a bottle of wine to enjoy at home. My friend wanted to sign up to be a member but they actually have a waiting list! (Which is understandable if it's a small family vineyard and they only produce a certain number of cases per year.) This is a new winery in the Newberg area that just opened in the last week. We were recommended to stop by Sara at Archer Winery. If you like your traditional red wines, this is the stop! First, the tasting room is amazing! It makes you feel like you're in Lake Tahoe or in Montana. The windows overlook the valley with trees surrounding. A huge tree trunk is in the middle, with wood all around. The smell of cedar was everywhere! Great peaceful location to taste and enjoy a glass of wine! We worked with the owner/winemaker for our tasting. Very helpful with background into the winery, process of making wine and just the history in general. I loved all the wines I tasted! Highly recommend the Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. The reds are smooth, flavorful and are similar to Spanish reds. This is a great new winery to try! I've been here three times now, the first time was fine, second time, fine. Nothing over the top. Good reds. Why I decided to write my FIRST review on yelp comes from my visit today. Their closing time was 7pm. At 703pm I was greeted by, not my waiter that I had tipped 20% already, but another woman, whom I assume is "in charge". As she is taking our glasses from us, she states "yeah, we all want to go home!" Very rudely!! Meanwhile, there are more than 3 other tables, some of which have parties of 6 or more. There were 3 of us (and we had already closed out) I maybe had one sip left. I still needed to use the restroom and during this time my friends witnessed her giving the same rude comments to other tables. Mind you, we spent almost $250 and we're pulling out of the driveway at 723pm. It's sad because we truly loved the ambiance, but after our treatment, I will not be back nor would I ever recommend this establishment. I live within 5 miles of this place so trust me, I WANT to love it. Never again. To the staff- after the unfortunate events that COVID19 has brought us, I would think you all would be grateful to have a job to go to, as well as, patrons that wish to contribute to keeping you in business. Out of hundreds of other wineries in the Willamette Valley, and very few near Sherwood, it's upsetting that you all feel you can behave that way. read more

Been here a few times now and love it! I've actually never done a flight, as it requires you to stay up on the deck or in the tasting room. With summer weather, we wanted to head down to the lawn both times so landed on a bottle (there are no flight options in the lawn) of Rosé. It's been delightful each time I've had it and look forward to the next visit! As for the food, I've only ever had the cheese plate, but it would be worth trying some of their other snacks. The cheese board was mostly cubes of cheddar and American cheese, some summer sausage and some grapes. They have a dip that looked good though! read more

If you're in the Willamette Valley tasting wine and find yourself thinking that you'd kill for something other than yet another pinot noir, then you better visit Parrett Mountain Cellars! They specialize in big reds, and it's so damn refreshing to have something to sip on other than the region's (admittedly great, if you're into that type of thing) pinots. I had some cab, some zin, some malbec and not a single drop of pinot noir. Maybe I've got a chip on my shoulder against the area's chief export, but OH MY GOD I'M SO SICK OF IT! This place is a breath of fresh air. It was so nice to be able to take a guided tour through their big reds, and I found a few that I'd gladly have again in the future. Also, the tasting room is really pretty. It's a lovely log cabin with tons of glass that affords lovely views in most every direction. Seeing as it's brand new, the whole place still smells like cut wood, which I personally love. Also it has a nice fireplace. I think they'll rent out the space for private events, and it'd be a really nice place to host something. I'm really happy I found this place, and I'm sure that I'll return again. read more
