Great experience here with some friends from school! I've never been much of a red wine guy, but the reds that they had here were so various and showed me how different they can all be. The woman who was helping us during the tasting was so friendly and fun to chat with! She was knowledgeable and passionate, which makes the experience that much better. Love! Sat our group of 9 immediately with no reservation. Great open & beautiful space. There was live music, and a great vibe. Fantastic wine. The 2016 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir was my favorite. It's very rare for me to like a Chardonnay, but their's is delicious, with a touch of oak & a slightly dry refreshing finish. I quite enjoyed the 2019 Pinot Noir as well as the bubbly too :). Charcuterie board was nice touch for eats, and the homemade pineapple habanero jelly is delish. You can purchase many of the jams/jelly's at the front along with candles, clothing, and other items. read more

My wife and I are visiting Oregon and blocked out 5 days most of which was to visit local wineries and to take in the scenery. We purposely tried to find smaller, family run and non-corporate producers. We wanted to meet the owners, see the vineyards up close and since it is crush time - witness the process first hand. None of that was evident at this "bus load for tourists" and gift shop front and center establishment. We are from N Cali and booked 5 different tastings and visits in and around the Willamette area and this was by and far the worst. We entered a gift shop and sales desk where no one even looked up to help us. Most of the tables outside were full and ugly, cheap plastic table cloths covered the cheap Costco tables. We eventually were pointed to the obligatory $20 for a few small tastes of their offerings with not one mention of anything about the winery, the vineyard, the grapes, or the production facility we were sitting in. In fact they were mainly pushing crappy wines you'd never buy anyway - apparently their better pinots were already sold out or seemingly too costly for the pedestrian crowd they cater to - so I was given one glass to drink from - even if it was the wrong glassware for the wines offered - and when I asked to try a few not on the tasting offered I was told they "aren't open" and no I can't ?! Seriously ? I was handed a glass with a crappy sparkling rose in the front sales desk area (note the priority for sales not tastings) and told "sit anywhere" and then you forget about us and I have to grab another server to help us ? The random server I flagged down happily opened up the bottle I wanted to try effortlessly and after that my server seemed like she didn't want to serve my wife and I nor help us at all. Not sure what the deal is with this winery....but I don't think our experience was even close to what we had everywhere else nearby. So many good places to go and people to meet who actually care about their customers. We bought two bottles of the two better Pinots we asked to try - that were not on their awful $20 tasting menu and left. I probably shouldn't have bought a damn thing from these folks - and I would never return irrespective. Not a true winery experience more like a plastic Dixie cup tasting at a duty free shop at the airport - except for $20 they pour tiny samples of their crappy unsold wines and treat you like they wish you'd leave them alone. Nothing about this place spoke to the area itself and the ethos we have come to admire and appreciate in small local producer Oregon wine country. Meh meh meh Go elsewhere. I was little put off by the not so warm greeting from the staff which is a shame because they were my first impression of the place. They are right there when you open the doors. The location is pretty and has beautiful views. The wines they offer have interesting flavors that I was very excited to try but they weren't really for me. I enjoyed the experience but I have had better service and wine from the other wineries in the area. I really wanted to love the place but sadly, I left unimpressed. read more

Wow. 10/10. Five stars. Highly recommend. The staff were wonderful, the wine was exquisite, the ambiance was welcoming and warm. With killer views and delish wine, this was an amazing tasting experience. My husband and I happened to be in the area and very randomly picked Archer for a quick pre-lunch tasting. We walked in to Steven behind the counter and Sara (the cellar master) in the tasting room. They were both super friendly and welcoming, and most importantly, very knowledgeable about their wine. We had tastings and conversation and it felt more like just hanging out with old friends. Eventually the owner, Saj, came in and it really turned into a five star VIP experience. Steven took us into the cellar and told us all about different barrels and their process. Saj even treated us to a tasting of Syrah straight from barrel. Nearly two hours later we finally left, with gigantic purple smiles on our faces. Aside from the atmosphere, the wine was truly top notch. We tasted 2019/2020 wines and Steven and Sara told us all about the different flavors and how the fires affected the grapes. We tasted everything from whites, to Pinots, and even a bubbly. We have been members at Archer for nearly 10 years. Can't believe I haven't submitted a review before but feel compelled to do so now. My wife and I moved from Oregon to San Diego 5 years ago but still remain members and get our wine delivered quarterly to our home in Southern California. We came to Oregon this weekend and stopped in at the tasting room in Dundee. Sara greeted us w a smile (as always!) and a glass of the always pleasant Sheru Pinot Gris. So crisp and refreshing!! Sara and her staff are always so accommodating and knowledgeable about the wine but they also serve beer and in a wine glass that is a fun alternative. Just left this winery and am blown away by the hospitality and customer service. Great views, good wines, spotless facilities and friendly employees make up this lovely Vineyard. After being completely ignored by the owner of Oswego Winery, it was nice to be greeted by the owner when we walked in. Left with half a case and a form to join the wine club. This winery is so beautiful! We enjoyed the tasting menu and the woman working gave us great service. Tasting menu price was about average, waived with purchasing 2 bottles. The facility is pretty inside and they have a retail area with candles that smell amazing. The patio was my favorite part - a gorgeous view from under a trellis draped with hanging hops. It's so pretty! We liked the wine as well. We ended up purchasing a bottle of Rosé of Pinot Gris which was really good! We will definitely revisit this spot! read more

I love wine and love to go vineyards so we explore lots of different vineyard whole year. I have been to dozen vineyards in wine country and this one was among the best ones. There flight menu included 4 wines for $15 and all the wines I tasted were amazing and they also had some beer options so it's a good place even if you are not a wine lover and loves beer just like my husband. And the owner was very friendly and nice, they told us about the party they have every alternate Friday evenings in June, July, and August. So you can bring your own food or they can order pizza for you and you can enjoy the party with great view and Wine. And they have good seating inside and outside. read more

Great vineyard! We had Sara, the owner, help us with our tasting. She had so much background into the vineyard history, wine making process, and the wines. She was great with our group, funny and interactive. The wines, especially the Pino, were delicious! Loved the tasting room! It was decorated nicely with all the wines displayed. They had an extra room with many tables facing the vineyard. The outdoor patio had tables in the shade and sun, all with views of the vineyard. We were able to taste the grapes since it was a few days before harvest. Highly recommend! The wine, tasting experience and service was exceptional! read more

The winery has a "family feel" and the wine is bold and playful. The staff brings a family presence that makes you feel valued. The Bubbly Rosé is a perfect starter and 2016 Hopewell Pinot is fantastic. Then it gets better as you cruse into the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon with flying colors. I highly recommend this winery, as I was an outsider visiting the area, but it made me feel at home (Bay Area). Beautiful view, friendly staff, good wine. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the tasting fee. $20 for 4 wines is on the high end for the Willamette Valley. The cost of the 4 bottles you're sampling is $171. In comparison, you can sample from bottles totaling $240 for $15 at Parrett Mountain. My favorite that we tried was the 2017 Olenik Pinot Noir. Nothing spectacular, but on par with pinots from Furioso. read more

Even though their posted hours are until 5:00, they welcomed us at 4:30 for a tasting. They were very busy and the profusely apologized for not being able to spend more time with us. The wines were excellent - especially the cuvee. The owner came asked how the wines were. We enjoyed talking with him about the art in the tasting room (from Kenya) and the non-profit organization that Saj has to help the less fortunate in Kenya. How was the wine here? No idea... we sat for 25 minutes and no one ever came out to see us. They require reservations so they know how busy it's gonna be... one person working memorial day weekend makes no sense. What a waste of time. When it comes to wine tasting, it's not only about the wine, it's about the experience. And Archer delivered in both categories. We stopped here on Saturday of the Thanksgiving wine weekend, and it was definitely our favorite stop on the tour. On top of some cheese and charcuterie, the wine tasting included two types of pinot gris, a gewürztraminer, two types of pinot noir, and two types of vermouth. All of the wines were delicious. And not only was the tasting one of the more affordable of the wineries, they waived the tasting fee with the purchase of two bottles -- which we of course did! What really blew me away about this winery was the experience. We chatted with the wine maker, and everyone working there was knowledgable about everything from the growing process to food pairings. They were great about making sure of all their customers were happy, giving them extra samples when they were torn between two wines. It felt less like we were doing a wine tasting, and more like they invited us into their home. Excellent customer service in my book. Finally, the view is unbeatable. They have a bright, open room and back patio overlooking the vineyard where you can sit and socialize. Definitely worth checking out. read more

Had a beautiful tasting at Archer! Walked in and was instantly greeted by Sara A. who is literally the most pleasant positive person. Took my glass out to the beautiful veranda overlooking the vineyards. Had an awesome tasting and really enjoyed the vineyards relaxed vibes. When my friend and I left Stephen checked in on our experience (which was fabulous) and really cared that we'd had a good time. Hands down the best experience I've had wine tasting in Oregon!! I made reservations for nine of us just two days prior and they were so welcoming. The owners daughter Sara made us feel like celebrities with the personalized attention she provided. Almost forgot to mention the wine- it's amazing!! Was in over last weekend. Felt the wines where over priced and not the best. Felt the place didn't have enough food options and yes you can bring your own in. We have been in before this summer and had a great time. We did notice that Karen wasn't working and the vibe wasn't has friendly. Older gentleman was in and drinking wine with customers ( believe he's the owner). Seemed he was a little on the intoxicated side. In my opinion not a good thing for the owner to show.
