Nice experience and really pretty view from the outside tables. Enjoyed the wine, but we didn't get much information with each pour--more "this is the [year] [varietal] - enjoy!" It would've been nice to hear more about the process, distinguishing flavors / notes, etc.

I was little put off by the not so warm greeting from the staff which is a shame because they were my first impression of the place. They are right there when you open the doors. The location is pretty and has beautiful views. The wines they offer have interesting flavors that I was very excited to try but they weren't really for me. I enjoyed the experience but I have had better service and wine from the other wineries in the area. I really wanted to love the place but sadly, I left unimpressed.

This winery is so beautiful! We enjoyed the tasting menu and the woman working gave us great service. Tasting menu price was about average, waived with purchasing 2 bottles. The facility is pretty inside and they have a retail area with candles that smell amazing. The patio was my favorite part - a gorgeous view from under a trellis draped with hanging hops. It's so pretty! We liked the wine as well. We ended up purchasing a bottle of Rosé of Pinot Gris which was really good! We will definitely revisit this spot!

I love wine and love to go vineyards so we explore lots of different vineyard whole year. I have been to dozen vineyards in wine country and this one was among the best ones. There flight menu included 4 wines for $15 and all the wines I tasted were amazing and they also had some beer options so it's a good place even if you are not a wine lover and loves beer just like my husband. And the owner was very friendly and nice, they told us about the party they have every alternate Friday evenings in June, July, and August. So you can bring your own food or they can order pizza for you and you can enjoy the party with great view and Wine. And they have good seating inside and outside.

My friends and I had the most wonderful experience at this Vineyard. We were treated So well by the staff from the moment we arrived. We did wine tasting and ordered a cheese board for a snack. The food and wine was fantastic large portions for very reasonable price. Beautiful winery and breathtaking views. What made it really special was the entire staff. They made us feel so welcome. Irene, Lisa and Sara did an outstanding job taking care of us. I highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our time here. One of the best views on a beautiful sunny day. We loved the wine and left with several bottles. Very clean and welcoming. We will be back!!

Great atmosphere. Great wines. Stephen presented Archer wines with enthusiasm as well as attention to our preferences.

Great service! The staff are so nice! Even with only 2 workers on shift, neither of them keep the customers waiting. Beauty Vineyard, I would definitely go back. Highly recommended!

The Cab is the "go to" for the perfect occasion.

The winery has a "family feel" and the wine is bold and playful. The staff brings a family presence that makes you feel valued. The Bubbly Rosé is a perfect starter and 2016 Hopewell Pinot is fantastic. Then it gets better as you cruse into the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon with flying colors. I highly recommend this winery, as I was an outsider visiting the area, but it made me feel at home (Bay Area). Stephen is very knowledgeable of Archer wines and shows his passion in what he does.

The tasting room in Sherwood is easy to find, has plenty of parking, and has lots of space indoors and outdoors. There's a large open main tasting room with several different types of seating, a private room upstairs, and lots of seating in the covered outdoor area. The views of Mount Hood and the surrounding vineyards are breathtaking! They have two main wine tasting options: the Vista Flight ($25) and Single Vineyard Flight ($40). If you're new to Chehalem Wines, I recommend the Vista Flight. Both are fantastic, and if you're a Stoller Group member, you get either one flight or one glass at this (or other member wine tasting rooms) for free each month. We love their Pinot Noir wines, especially the Corral Creek Vineyard Pinot Noirs. But they also have a delicious Grüner Veltliner and solid Chardonnays. While you're wine tasting, this is a great place to also grab a bite to eat, as they have a full kitchen and food menu. Their focaccia bread is super fluffy and SO good! Wine prices are on par with this part of the Willamette Valley, and some are actually below the average in this area for what I think are high quality wines. Finally, we always have amazing service here. The staff are friendly and helpful. We always love coming back here and can't wait for our next visit. If you're looking for a spot to go wine tasting in this area, I highly recommend making a reservation (although they take walk-ins).

We scheduled a tasting for 10a as their main event person happened to be getting married and we were glad they were able to accommodate us. Wine for Breakfast? Heck, it WAS 1p EDT so it worked out. Their tasting room wasn't necessarily elegant, but the glasses were all set up for us and we began promptly. It was a rainy morning and we did get to walk through one of the vineyards, eat some grapes from the vine, and hear about Chehalem. We also toured the winery with the tanks and workers being friendly and doing their thing as it was time to make the wine. The tasting was done very well and what was very interesting was we tried the same Chardonnay from a narrow glass and a wide glass and they tasted completely different. Who would have thunk it? The science of wine! We joined the club (they waive the tasting fees if you join) and our box just arrived (they ship to FL later so the heat doesn't ruin the wine), which made me write the review. I wish I knew about that before the great quarantine of 2020. Anyway, what an excellent experience from our host at Chehalem. They also have a tasting room in Downtown Newberg by the food trucks where the road splits. If we ever go back (we want to), we may stop to see what's new.

He chatted with me a little bit about growing up and picking grapes (son of the owner) and he gave me about 1/2 a bottle of one of his creations to go. It was excellent. We will be back. Walked in one day and was surprised to see how busy they were. Nothing too crazy, but the standing bar top was full so we hung out at the lower counter on the other side. The man pouring, Matt, was awesome. So friendly and funny, and handled the crowd well. Water and oyster crackers available as a palette cleanser. Their tasting menu and wines are SHOCKINGLY inexpensive. Maybe that's why I was so caught off guard at how good the wine was? He explained to us that they rent out their facilities and machines to other surrounding wineries which pays a lot of their overhead and therefore they don't need to charge absurd prices on their bottles. What a cool concept! Towards the end of our tasting, the crowd cleared out and we were the only ones left so Matt took us on a private tour around the whole facility. It was really awesome to see all the steps of the process, including the bottling/labeling machine which I had never seen before. Went into the barrel room too. The whole place is clean and nice. It was so fun to be shown around like that! He was so great. Even let us taste extra wines outside the tasting menu and a couple straight out of the tap on the holding tank! We bought a few bottles, how could you not when they're this cheap! The Pinot Gris stood out to me as it seemed much fruitier and juicier than what I've tasted before. We also loved the Maréchal Foch which they serve with a piece of dark chocolate, and the Port version of this as well! Sooo good. Thanks Matt and August cellars for giving us a great time! We will certainly be back!

Our host explained they use regenerative farming and winemaking processes. Their wines are aged in clay amphora casks, something we had never heard of, which imparts unique, earthy characteristics. Since the clay allows for a slow oxidation, the wine has softer flavors without the oak derived butter, vanilla and spice flavors. It's a middle ground between the oxidation of oak bottles and the more sterile stainless steal. We enjoyed the education and the wines!
