Second year enjoying the lavender farm. Up in the hills, beautiful area. Be aware of the bees- they're just getting some purple juice. Very special place to walk the rows of lavender. They have a test area up in the back. Along with some farm animals. I would suggest to maybe were bug repellent as I got some bites. Also a cute little lavender maze. And lots of photography spots with fun couches and bathtubs. The field is set up for what purpose you are picking for/ They have a lavender section to make great sachets and a lavender section to make foods. Staff is wonderful. The lemonade drinks are also great! Can't wait for next year.

Had been wanting to come here since last year but it's a lil bit of a road trip from Portland. Finally got the chance and enjoyed this cute lavender farm. Only spent about an hour here and felt like it was plenty of time. There are VERY many bees so be aware of that if afraid of or allergic. They don't really bother you though if you don't bother them. There's also not much shade so it gets pretty hot and sweaty on a sunny day. Sunscreen would be a good idea. Cute little market area and refreshing lemonades. Smells amazing and has many photo opportunities.

Absolutely amazing experience! My family was visiting so I took them to the lavender farm and they loved it! The smell of lavender is beautiful. The bumble bees were drunk on lavender so they didn't care about people walking around. Don't be afraid of them :) will definitely be back again!

What a lovely lavender farm! My gal pals and I signed up for their *free* Lavender 101 class and it was so informative! Our instructor was so patient while we waited for a friend to join us. We were able to beat the heat under a shaded tree and grab some refreshing lavender lemonade (lavender raspberry was the best). The fields were definitely showing off that day and photographers are abundant across the field taking advantage of the scenery. They had a small outdoor store to buy lavender products and a vintage furniture store. You could pick lavender bundles to take home and staff was super helpful. Def a great place to bring a group!

This was a nice place to visit. In addition to picking lavender they had a lot of products. This place is something to do that is really different. They have onsite parking and then it's a very quick walk to the fields. The family that runs the place is very friend and we had a great time talking. Their products are very professionally done but are unique. They also had some cold beverages available for purchase and place to sit with shade. It was really a fun afternoon.

It's a nice place to visit that wasnt too far from downtown to see some lavender. Sadly we went a little later so a lot of the lavenders were cut by others. Still pretty none the less and it smelled amazing. One of the vals up front didnt know much though. Asked about prices and she said "idk" and just stared at us. Then my cousin had to ask her to ask someone else to find out. It felt like pulling teeth to get an answer from here. Overall I wanted to get some pictures which is why we went and I loved that they had little chairs and what not around. The chickens did make one area smell but that's easily avoidable when we walk away from there.

What a cute lavender farm to visit in Newberg! There's a lavender maze, option to u-pick in the field or pick a bouquet at the stand. I appreciate the option to make the bouquet a gift with tissue paper. In the country store there are all sorts of handcrafted goods and refreshing lemonade to cool off from the hot summer sun. As someone who hasn't been to a lavender farm I would have appreciated reassuring signs or information from staff that although there are a lot of bees they are friendly bumble bees and there's a low risk of getting stung.

Wayward Winds in season, take it slow Wait for them to tell you when to go Please don't make any sudden moves You don't want the bees to get confused Lavenders the reason, don't you know Twenty Øne Piløts on the radio Please don't make another excuse Aromatics can take the heathen out of you

The wayward winds lavender festival was a lovely way to spend a relaxing Friday afternoon as the aroma of lavender filled the air the scene of all the beautiful blossoms of lavender is very breathtaking. We were given a basket along with the scissors to go cut our own. We learned about the different varieties of lavender that are available. We cut more than we needed and it was a delight to see the bees buzzing in about collecting the pollen and never wanting to disturb us. They would just gently move off of the branches that we were cutting and onto another plenty of lavender for all. There was a little shop with various lavender-based products to purchase along with lavender plants you can take home to plant for yourself. Finally we relaxed with the distraction of lavender infused lemonade in a variety of flavors it was very pleasant and a lovely way to wrap up our lavender adventure. We even wandered through the lavender maze. Wayward Winds is something of a delight, everyone there is helpful and friendly

I was here for apples, and they had a ton of options. They were very friendly and patiently explained the process. You fill buckets and then pay at the end. They have pull carts so you can move multiple buckets around. There are so many varieties of apples! There is a chart at the entrance to the orchard with the names and what purpose is best for each kind of apple (eating, baking, applesauce). They also let you sample the apples to help with the selection process. The orchards extend farther than was apparently from the parking lot. It was peaceful at the far end of some of the rows, and we found plenty of apples. It can be muddy, so boots are probably a good idea. It was a lovely fall day, with blue skies. This was a fun way to connect with the season and to become more familiar with where some of our food comes from. Highly recommended.

We didnt see the pickers when we got there as they mustve been in use. Although majority of the apples were on the ground, we did find some good ones. You pay by the pound, i believe it was $3/lb. The owner was really nice & let us know that season starts early-mid September. She let us sample the apple cider, & wow so fresh & delicious. We added a bottle of that too to take home along with our 5lbs of apples. We did end up getting several different kinds, each with its own texture/ taste. Some did have some bruises/brown spots, but it was easy to just cut off & enjoy. Such a fun experience. Will definitely be back next year, earlier this time.

We came the 2nd week of October and most of the apples had fallen or were turning but we did find a few good ones to enjoy the experience and bring home. They provide the baskets and stick to grab the apples. Pay inside to weigh and they bag the apples up for you. On-site is a coffee vendor. The coffee was disappointing to say the least. I ordered their seasonal pumpkin americano and it tasted like burnt black coffee. Also, it was piping hot and they filled my cup so much that when I sat down it spilt on me, burning my leg. Had a few sips and called it a lose. There is also a small gift shop which sells local honey, apples and freshly made apple cider. Porter John for a bathroom and nowhere to wash hands. No hands sanitizer. There was a Home Depot bucket filled with water with a soap bottle aside it but I'm hoping they don't expect anyone to use that and I'm hoping nobody is. This was part of my reason for 4 stars. Also parking was slightly complicated but eventually a worker came to direct me where to park as the only marked parking area that I saw was full. In all, we had a great fall day. Expect to spend about 2.5 hours to let the kiddos explore and play. Everyone who worked their was kind.

Don't get me wrong, I do pick the wild ones, but I'm usually covered in juice and my hands and arms get all pricked. When I'm here, I pick a huge bucketful so I can make pies. The berries are so sweet I just add a little sugar and lemon juice and the pies are perfect. Also pick enough so I can enjoy some plain, by the handfuls.
