Beautiful views, friendly staff. We did a tasting flight & enjoyed it. The weather was perfect to enjoy the ground. There were several seating groupings to choose from

Great wines, beautiful ambiance, pleasant service. I could think of nothing to award this anything less than five stars. $15 tasting flights (2023) with each tasting fee waived per bottle purchases. Excellent value. Highly recommend stopping by for an enjoyable wine flight.

We should have just skipped the other wineries and come here. We immediately had the warm fuzzies because of all the adorable, little, bouncing baby farm animals all playing together and showing brazen curiosity about what all these drunk girls are doing talking to them. The call of the wine pulled me away from all this cuteness. I found my gaggle of giggling girls sitting out back on a large picnic table. They already had wine and my glass was sitting there waiting for me. We were there on 09/18/22, and since I didn't write my review within a reasonable time, it's been almost 2 months since our visit, my memory is a bit fuzzy when it comes to the important details such as what did I drink? Where did the wines that I tasted fall upon the yumminess spectrum? I totally have no idea. What I can tell you is that Jojo our wine expert and charming, funny, and knowledgeable server was wonderful. After the arctic feeling I had after leaving Utopia, we were basking in the warm hospitality of everyone we had an encounter with at Lady Hill. While I can't recite which wines I tasted, I can tell you I enjoyed all but one and it was a Pinot. Sorry, I guess you'll just have to go out there and do a tasting flight and decide for yourself how you like it. In all the years that I've been going wine tasting, I've never been a wine club member. Until now. 2022 - Review # 41

We recently stayed at Champoeg State park (across the road from Lady Hill). We went to Lady Hill winery for the convenience of the location but we were surprised at how nice the vineyard was and how hospitable the staff was. The winery is kid and dog friendly which was great to hear considering we visited other wineries in the area that were not. We did a wine tasting while the kids did coloring books. We will definitely be back again.

The farm's antique windmill that blew off in a long-ago storm. Has found a new life as a huge light fixture in the wine-tasting room.

3.5 stars. Definite worth a walk over if staying at Campoeg State Park across the road. AMBIANCE: 4.0. Gorgeous setting and facility. The building sits in the midst of rolling (organic) farm fields and woods. The interior is pretty, and there are two upstairs rooms that can host private tastings. SERVICE: 3.5. Friendly and prompt. Was not particularly knowledgeable about the different brands and wines. Children play area inside. WINE: 3.0. Several brands. Competently produced.

Lady Hill Winery has my heart! Michelle was the lady who navigated our tasting and she was an absolute hoot to be around. Even if the wine we tried wasn't good (and trust me, it was GREAT), she would've made it better! First off, she let us sit outside and enjoy the weather, which the previous place we journeyed to did not. Our tasting flight was one of my favorites! It featured a Pinot Gris (which changed my mind about white wine), a Cabernet Sauvignon (perfect amount of dry), a Syrah (my favorite w/ hints of tobacco), a GSM (my second favorite) & the Cuvee (Cab Sav, Merlot, Cab Franc). All of the wines were very good & I would definitely come back again!

    Cheers

Fast forward to today, we own a car and decided it was time to find a more local option. After visiting Hawks View this past weekend I can say we've accomplished that and then some. This place sits firmly in the sweet spot of not being too "dinky" or small and not being too stuffy or corporate. I know we all have our preferences, I just like for my environment to be laid back or relaxed. The wines are fantastic here. Keep in mind, I'm no connoisseur of fine wine but I do know good from bad. Beyond the wine, we love this place due to the view (of course) but also the fact you can parlay your wine allocation pick up with a rotating menu of food. Makes for a great little weekend getaway or drive in the car.

Beware the yellow jackets if you order food and are seated outside! Hopefully, they will find the nests and reduce the problem We went in early evening and were hungry so we ordered a couple of the flatbreads, hummus platter and a gazpacho. We had the white and OG flatbreads and both were delicious. Bigger than expected so we wound up taking one home. The hummus plate was also delicious and the gazpacho was the best I have ever tasted! Now on to the wine flights. We both had flights which they let us customize. We both loved all the wines we tried and we both bought a few bottles to take home. It is unusual for me to like all the wines anywhere so it was a nice surprise. We finished our meal and moved outside with a glass of the Reserve Chardonnay to relax on the lawn. The service was a tad slow - perhaps because they had a trainee that day? Hopefully, when I go again, and I will, the service will be a bit faster.

There are so many different wineries around the Willamette Valley, so it's difficult to choose where to go. And of course, the most popular ones will likely be booked up. But my partner found Coeur de Terre and made a reservation for us to visit this winery in the late afternoon, which ended up being a delightful experience. The vineyard is located far from the city, up on a hill, surrounded by other vineyards and orchards. Just the setting itself is worth visiting. The winery with its own vineyard is spacious, with a large, open building that's open for the public. However, where you want to sit is outside on the patio, which overlooks the hills and vineyard. We had a reservation for 4PM on a Sunday, which was the last hour before closing. We tried six different wines: a chardonnay, pinot gris, rose, syrah and two pinot noirs. Now, we came to Oregon wine country because we wanted to explore pinot noirs, which is king in this part of the country. And I can say that the pinot noirs at Coeur de Terre were solid. I normally would not choose a pinot noir, but Coeur de Terre made me a believer. They grow all of their grapes here at the vineyard, and what I liked most about the pinot noirs is that they were more robust than other pinot noirs I've had. I like my reds more bold and heavy, and these pinot noirs were heavier. We had a wonderful experience here, exploring the pinot noirs and taking in the views and setting. The employee who helped us out was friendly, too. I recommend visiting if you're in the area. Tasting is $25 per person, and is waived with a $75 bottle purchase per person.

I got the wine tasting of four which consisted of a pinot gris, cab franc, pinot noir and a rose of pinot noir. My favorite out of the bunch was surprisingly the cab franc, even though we were in pinot country. Very green and vegetal tasting. It was a weird way to get to the bathroom which I had to walk around the building because the farmer was sleeping in the main room. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall a tasting was around $28. I'd say a good value and good wines with a great view.

We sat in the living room on couches around a coffee table while the adjacent dining room was being utilized by a party of 8. it was a great vibe, warm and inviting. Our host explained they use regenerative farming and winemaking processes. Their wines are aged in clay amphora casks, something we had never heard of, which imparts unique, earthy characteristics. Since the clay allows for a slow oxidation, the wine has softer flavors without the oak derived butter, vanilla and spice flavors. It's a middle ground between the oxidation of oak bottles and the more sterile stainless steal. We enjoyed the education and the wines! Would love to come back in the spring or summer for the full Garden Cottage experience. Since this is a small, family owned winery, tastings are by appointment only. Their website has the link.
