You can't come to Washington and not go to the famous Fred Meyer. Staff: Gage was the one employee that we encountered at self check out. He was very nice and helpful. Definitely think he's doing a great job. Quality/Quantity: The store has literally everything you can imagine. It has food, clothes, camping, gear, beds, lights, everything. It is truly a remarkable store that I've always enjoyed visiting when coming to Washington. Value: It seems like there are a really good prices here from the foods to the goods. Saw a really cool T-shirt that was on clearance for 50% off. However, be sure you have a membership as it is not 50% off without a membership. Overall: Big fan of the store always have been always will be. If you're in the Washington area be sure to visit.

Large 'everything' store in Bellevue. Fred Meyer for us in the Midwest meant the jewelry store, but here in the Pacific Northwest represents a Super Target like place where both department store items and grocery items can be purchased. We needed to get new Orca transit cards to ride the buses (we had forgot ours at home, and they don't offer the mobile way yet). One can purchase that from the Customer Service desk at the front, which took a LONG time. Everyone was pleasant, but because one of the associates was dealing with something with a customer that seemed to be taking forever, one manager had to man one of the stations while also racing around to help others. It actually gave me time to pick up some cold medicine, and the line had barely moved while I was gone. I'm not sure what Fred Meyer is classified as, from a credit card rewards perspective. Per reddit, it can be grocery or wholesale club. I guess I will find out once my transaction posts.

UPDATE APRIL 28, 2023: Hooray! I'm happy to announce that effective April 11, 2023, Fred Meyer (in Bellevue at least), by popular demand, now takes mobile pay (Apple Pay and Google pay). No more having to dig my credit card out of my wallet! It pays to keep asking cashiers who tell you they don't accept mobile pay "when are you going to get mobile pay?"

No checkers only self checkout, extremely long lines. Why are there no checkers at this large grocery store?

It is a Freddy's with a lot of selection for food, fresh and pre made deli items and a little bit of everything else.

I was in yesterday and we purchased a prom dress for my daughter. We had an appointment. However,…read moreupon arrival I felt what many reviewers mention. It was chaotic. The dresses were tightly packed in long racks and no one helped us with picking out dresses. We were told to select what she wanted to try on and hang it on a rack end. After my daughter selected 4-5 dresses she was shown a stall to try them on. She ended up liking one and we purchased it. The biggest shock came when I paid the bill, they asked for a tip! I was shocked. We were given the most minimal assistance and no one brought her dresses to try. My daughter did all the work. I was stunned, I did leave a small tip but wish I had not. I was completely caught off guard. I've never been asked to leave a tip when dress shopping anywhere. My recommendation would be to go here and try stuff on for size then order it online. We did not need altercations, but I heard those were quite expensive. I would not recommend this place for business.

They seemed to have a large selection but the space was way too small for the number of dresses. My friend was the bride which we had to clarify multiple times with the same employee. The woman who was helping us did not have a very welcoming attitude and was acting very snippy towards us as if the parlor was busy, although it was not. The part that made us leave was that my friend, the bride, began looking at the dresses. Without measuring or asking, the employee assumed the size of the bride and had her move to rack of dresses that she assumed fit the size of the bride. This was not taken kindly as it is not very nice to assume someone's clothing size without measuring or asking first. It was not even close to my friend's size either. It was not said in a helpful tone and was taken in an unkind way. We left promptly after that comment was made. Would not recommend to friend who is not a size 2 or above.
