Shout out to all of the team members here! Laura especially she was absolutely fantastic, helped me find everything I could possibly need and I had a LONG list. She'd even ask what else was on my list and help me find it! The people doing stocking were also super helpful and so very friendly. I was there from 8-9pm on 4/24 and I was expecting to have my shopping take at LEAST an hour and a half and it went by so quick with everyone's help. I was born and raised in Maple Valley. theres been a lot of changes. My hometown continues to do a great job for itself. One Asset we have is a butcher/meat department person named Bruce. If you come inside this huge store and walk to his department, Bruce will help you find and even tell you exactly what you need. Because he listens. He's also walked me to various aisles in the store to help me find what wise I need for these cuts. And he always leans toward saving $ at the same time. read more

Just moved from Covington to Maple Valley and really struggling for months to get the prescriptions moved over. I spoke with Rachel and asked for a RX to be moved from Covington as it was sent there in error and what was different about this RX than previous so I could resolve it with the doctor or insurance. She became extremely argumentative and insisted my question was the price. How can I ask about the price when I'm not worried about the price rather, why the dr. not only sent to the wrong pharmacy but also sent an entirely new RX? I can't see Fred Meyer's pharmacy screen. All I can do is ask the person answering the phone. The pharmacist was able to tell me that the dose was different so I could discuss it with the dr. and have her send the previous RX again. I love shopping at fredmyers don't get me wrong BUT this location is just okay the carts are all bad always squeaky and hard to push. The store overall is clean and packed which isn't a bad thing. Some of the workers at self check out do everything to ignore you though. read more

Fred Meyer has all the things that you'd expect to find at a grocery store and then some since it has several departments for all of your needs. This store has a strange layout in comparison to the other ones I usually go it, but it's very clean and that's always a plus. Overall it gets the job done nicely and the prices are pretty on par with the rest of the grocery stores. Somewhat recently they decided that you now must have a store card to get the savings. You can signup online quickly though, so it's not that bad. read more

It's easy to get sucked into this "all-in-one" store. Sure, there are food and nonfood things on my list. But it comes at a price. Grocery: Overall, it's a bit pricey for the quality. Spotlights shine down on the produce, making them appear brighter and more ripe than they are. Sales and "doorbusters" can be a great value. Clothes and shoes: Selection is limited and their prices are a bit high. I've scored on clearanced shoes, as they let you stack sales, coupons and markdowns. The Dip brand (their new generic) proved poor quality (lost softness immediately and balled up) so I won't buy it again. The isles aren't wide enough to accommodate the heavy traffic much of the time. Pack your patience! Hopefully, when they are done remodeling, we can pass a personal shopper double-wide! The music plays too loudly and song selection awkward, bouncing off the cement floors. Staff- In the 6 years they have been in MV, nearly all the associates have been great. They happily answer questions and show you where things are. Some grab the flier while I'm checking out and offer to scan another coupon! Fuel: GREAT value!! I also appreciate the window squeegees. UPDATE: The renovations are finally done and the isles are wider! But... now I have to look around a column to get Almay. Hahaha! read more

My husband went to pick up the cake today and it was nothing like what I had ordered. I called and told the woman on the other end that I was NOT happy with what was given to me. It turned out to be communication issues with the employee that I had ordered from in the first place. She wrote it down completely wrong and no longer works there. They remade my cake for me plus the smash cake within an hour. I appreciated them working so fast to fix the situation. Thank you bakery staff. read more

Once again the Deli department at the Maple Valley Freddie's has regressed to the point that it is my last option to shop. I have seen this seesaw for 7 years and it has to be blamed on continuously sub-par store management. Anytime they get a few great people, you can bet that they are gone in a few months. Outside of one or two long tenured employees, it is apparent that there has been minimal training or lessons in Deli etiquette or customer experience. It is once again a shit-show. Have never had problems with Fred Meyer until I moved and started going to the Maple Valley branch. In the past few months I've had: 1. Sour Tasting Shrimp fresh from the butcher section 2. Nasty smelling steak that was labeled as on sale 3. Tillamook Yogurt that is frequently expired (I have to start checking them after I found a few that were moldy; one of them was moldy even before the listed expiration date) 4. Found a very sharp, and hard orange foreign body in my trail mix. Almost chipped my tooth on it This Fred Meyer is going to get people sick. Also, their customer service is lacking in the garden department. The other day, I had the following conversation with a lady in gardening: me: "Hello" lady: *ignores me* me: "Hello..? Excuse me! Do you have any Peat Moss" lady: "Uh.... do we have what..?" me: "Do.. you.. have.. Peat.. Moss..?" lady: "Yeah.." me: "Okay.... well.. do you know where it is?" lady: *Points to somone more experienced* I don't know why I even bother coming here anymore, but each time I do, they set the bar lower. read more

This Fred Meyer in Maple Valley is huge. I've only been here once so far, but I was impressed with the variety of items in the home decor section and in the home improvement and tools area. If you're new to FM, it's like the big Targets, a combo of grocery with all the other stuff too. They also have a gas station and if you sign up for their free rewards program, the more you shop there, you will rake up points that will eventually get you a dollar off each gallon of gas at the pump. read more

This is specifically about the pharmacy at Fred Meyer 4 Corners Maple Valley. I had to switch my prescriptions to FM recently because of my insurance. I've been quite happy with the friendly and efficient pharmacists and especially today because the pharmacist explained some things I might want to know about side effects on my meds. I had told them I didn't need to talk because of been on it for a long time, but she still asked a couple questions and I ended up learning there might be some things i can do to counteract one of the side effects. I knew I had that side effect but she told me there's a supplement i could take to help that. I really appreciated her help on this and the polite and friendly way she brought it up. I love this Fred Meyer. My favorite by far! BUT, the pharmacy is a joke. The pharmacists are rude on the phone (even hung up on me once), have terrible communication, expected me to go find my own replacement for penicillin when they were out of stock instead of communicating with my doctor. Then they said they changed what insurance they accept and didn't inform me. When I called to ask where to locate their list of insurance providers, they told me they didn't know. Now I go to Safeway and they treat me like an actual human being. read more

They have changed in all the wrong ways. Whoever came up with this brand change must be working for the other guy. They have gotten rid of popular food items that many of us always bought and those they didn't get rid of they made impossible to find without walking the entire store. I have now gone over 2 months without stepping foot in Fred Meyer and I use to go in for at least something every other day or so. And bad idea to start charging for cash back at the same time. In the last week and a half, I've gone to this Fred Meyer and they have no baskets for shopping. Not at either doors or the checkout stands. I have asked various employees and have gotten answers of "not enough staff to collect them" "they've been stolen " and "I don't know". At least the "I don't know" answer is the only truth I got! 100% the most inefficient pharmacy i have ever dealt with. Arrived after receiving a text saying that my prescription was ready and it apparently wasn't ready yet. That would require them to "get the prescription ready". I waited at this pharmacy for 3 hours for 2 different prescriptions because of their poor communication and terrible customer service. We love grocery shopping at this Fred Meyer location!!! Love the layout of this store and how open it is, plus the options for the deli are better than the next closest Fred Meyer store. It is always clean inside the store and on the outside property. The produce and deli departments are always organized with ample product. Parking is always available close to the entrances. It takes us a bit longer to get to this location, yet we are willing to drive a few extra minutes just to shop here. read more

This Freddy's is so nice and clean. I live in downtown Renton for 2 years and could not stand that Fred Meyer location. This location in Maple Valley is soooo convenient. I have never had issues with it, except that fact people need to STOP buying out all the toilet paper. Instacart uses this location and I also have never had issues with them finding what I need... except toilet paper. People stop over buying out of fear. read more

I used to Love our Fred Meyer in Maple Valley. I understand it is a mess with the remodel. My pet peeve is the amount of check stands open with a checker. They put in several new self-serve stations which is Great! But they only have 1-2 Stations open with a live checker. Every time I go there is a Long line waiting for a checker. Yesterday I was in self check with a full basket and everyone around me was having issues with self check and there was one gal checker, that was not very experienced and she was stuck with a mess at one stand and everyone else was in a hurry and a few left there stuff and walked out of the store. I am so disappointed. That is what I used to Love about this store. Never a line. If there was more than two people in line they came and got you and brought you to check out. Aside from the consistent stock, and regular sales this location has a lot to be desired! Over this Thanksgiving I went in right at 7 am when they opened. I was thrilled to see the staff hard at working stocking the shelves and focused on prepping for the big holiday. I was approached plenty of times by super helpful staff! Located everything I needed in a timely manner. The ONLY issue I have is as follows... I was near the dairy / yogurt isle, and this woman with the WORST eye brows, dark hair and what looked like her entire days worth of stuff for work in her hands. She was berating and speaking very poorly to a man with a full dark beard who was apparently one of the stocking employees! He was flustered and I felt terrible for him and she yelled at him about how she saw him on the camera, and that he couldn't do this or that! I was APPALLED, and I almost snapped at her but her eye brows were so badly drawn for such a young person. I passed by again and she was now too loud, and everyone near the yogurt area had stocked the boxes, literal BOXES of yogurt on top of the actual shop able yogurt making it impossible! So, I tried to skirt her nasty behavior by snagging my Greek Gods Honey Yogurt! NEEDLESS to say, if you're going to have a COACHING conversation do it in a MANAGERS office! It's APPALLING to me how OVER worked these employees are! One staff member said they work 12-14 hours sometimes! THATS bullshit! I will continue to stop in, and will be reporting what I see here. Fred Meyer should KNOW better and come on Kroger, LETS take care of your PEOPLE better! read more

This store aggravates me more times than I can recall because it was fantastic when it first opened, so I know it can be better. Then it seemed that once the training staff left, the newbie management and staff dropped their game. I'll explain why. Most of the problems I have are with the deli and produce. The seafood, cheese, wine, and packaged meats counter in the back are great and helpful though. Both Fred Meyer and Safeway have hot case whole chicken roasters with a guarantee that if none are in stock between 11am - 7pm, you get a raincheck for a free roaster. It's getting to the point where the case is guaranteed to be empty when I visit between 5-7pm. I have been hassled for approximately 5 rainchecks to date. The kicker is, the store should be fully aware of their own promotion, especially by now since I've had to make multiple rain check requests. Fred Meyer policy is supposed to provide printed raincheck coupons that you obtain from the customer service counter. The problem is, both deli and service counter ping-pong you between each other and have no clue how to handle it despite the signage. Eventually, just have to hold firm and ask for a mgr to manually write one out. The quality of the oven roasters also has gone down hill. At first, they used to be consistently cooked and deliciously seasoned. More often, they are found scorched on one side and rubbery raw skin on the other, which is gross. This has been an ongoing problem. Deli staff - they are either rude, indifferent, or turn their back to you hoping that you will walk off in the hopes they are busy scrubbing the dirty slicer. On prior visits, they seemed agitated and were yelling at each other something to do with alarms in the back. Also, if I politely ask for 1 pound of shredded wafer meats, don't throw attitude because it takes longer to slice. These are some of the reasons I stopped going to Safeway, so now here too? Vegetables have to watch out for. Cherry tomatoes had mold - people were setting them aside. Same goes for packages of basil leaves full of rotten mold. Came back a few days later, same packages sitting there on top of the end cap. They also had a fantastic red/white/blue potato salad that you had to request from the deli case. Apparently it was too popular so the staff relocated it to the open air graveyard where it turns brown and dry, so I stopped buying it. Same goes for other items in that self service bar. Definitely not the same freshness during the grand opening months. read more

You can buy groceries, liquor, a sofa, a TV, some drywall mud, gardening supplies, tires, and a new pair of Levi's all under one roof. Fred Meyer Jewelers is a joke. Poor quality jewelry. I bought a "lifetime" warranty. My daughters Diamond hoop snapped, she lost everything but the post in her ear. They told me because I didn't have the other part of the earring it wouldn't be covered. She only had the earrings for a month (after having to trade in for another defect). I love this Fred Meyer. They have such a great selection of...well, everything, it seems! I especially love the natural foods section (comprised of three or four aisles behind the produce section) and the deli, which has much more variety in Boar's Head brand meats than the Covington Fred Meyer store. My husband loves the Boar's Head garlic bologna, head cheese, and liverwurst (ugh!)....and this store carries all three. Deli service can be a little slow or confusing at times, but they do their best. The meat and seafood section always looks clean and well organized. I love that they've started stocking fresh meatballs on a regular basis - those are amazingly good. Staff at this store are always really friendly and it's usually pretty easy to find someone when you need help. Prices have been good lately - I've found that there are lots of items with lowered prices, or items on sale. On a couple of occasions, I've found that they are randomly out of certain items (lemons, for almost a week last Summer or Fall, and my foundation makeup for a few days last Spring), but even still, this is a great store. read more

This location of Fred Meyer store is clean. The selection is good and generally fresh. *** The best feature here is the pharmacy staff. I feel like they know me on sight and treat me like a friend.
