You can't come to Washington and not go to the famous Fred Meyer. Staff: Gage was the one employee that we encountered at self check out. He was very nice and helpful. Definitely think he's doing a great job. Quality/Quantity: The store has literally everything you can imagine. It has food, clothes, camping, gear, beds, lights, everything. It is truly a remarkable store that I've always enjoyed visiting when coming to Washington. Value: It seems like there are a really good prices here from the foods to the goods. Saw a really cool T-shirt that was on clearance for 50% off. However, be sure you have a membership as it is not 50% off without a membership. Overall: Big fan of the store always have been always will be. If you're in the Washington area be sure to visit.

Large 'everything' store in Bellevue. Fred Meyer for us in the Midwest meant the jewelry store, but here in the Pacific Northwest represents a Super Target like place where both department store items and grocery items can be purchased. We needed to get new Orca transit cards to ride the buses (we had forgot ours at home, and they don't offer the mobile way yet). One can purchase that from the Customer Service desk at the front, which took a LONG time. Everyone was pleasant, but because one of the associates was dealing with something with a customer that seemed to be taking forever, one manager had to man one of the stations while also racing around to help others. It actually gave me time to pick up some cold medicine, and the line had barely moved while I was gone. I'm not sure what Fred Meyer is classified as, from a credit card rewards perspective. Per reddit, it can be grocery or wholesale club. I guess I will find out once my transaction posts.

UPDATE APRIL 28, 2023: Hooray! I'm happy to announce that effective April 11, 2023, Fred Meyer (in Bellevue at least), by popular demand, now takes mobile pay (Apple Pay and Google pay). No more having to dig my credit card out of my wallet! It pays to keep asking cashiers who tell you they don't accept mobile pay "when are you going to get mobile pay?"

It is a Freddy's with a lot of selection for food, fresh and pre made deli items and a little bit of everything else.

So no problems there. But since we were here, decided to get something I've been wanting for a while. On a visit to a Miami's Whole Foods, noticed that they sell Golden Osetra Caviar from TSAR NICOULAI ($94.99 for an ounce). Like some other sale items, there is more of a discount if Prime member, so got the item for $76.99. In the same area, there are caviar accompaniments like blinis and creme fraiche, so got some of that too. Self checkout was easy: able to use the Amazon app to generate a barcode for my account, and was able to use the Amazon credit card to pay for it. The receipt was sent directly via email, but printing is possible as well. Well...the caviar ended up being not good even though the expiration date was in May (2 months out): mushy and tasted a bit like mud. My daughter and I looked online to see if that was what it was supposed to taste like, and decided that it was not...something in the supply chain had ruined it. Returning it the same day was hassle-free, with the employee just asking the reason for the return, and returning the amount back to my credit card. Don't do food returns much, so wanted to give props to Whole Foods for making it easy for a valid reason.

Very disappointed cause none of the other Asian markets in the area carry this ( i know cause i have been searching for it. ) This HMart is on the smaller size, the Redmond, Lynnwood and Federal way Hmarts are double or triple the size of the bellevue store. I did however get a few other items though. The staff is pretty friendly, but many of the employees are not fluent in the English language so sometimes you just need to independently search the store for a particular item.

While parking is limited and it does get pretty busy, we were still able to find a spot without too much trouble. This H Mart is definitely smaller compared to other locations, like the Redmond one, but the quality is still really good. I love their fruits and vegetables, and I definitely recommend checking out their packaged foods since they're often on sale. The hot food and produce staff were also really friendly and nice. We ended up picking up a few things, including fresh fish and some frozen meats for a hot pot night. Overall, I definitely recommend stopping by this H Mart. It may be on the smaller side and the aisles are tighter compared to other locations, but it's still very doable and worth a visit.
