I brought in a cheap print to dress it up. The initial salesman made fun of me for it. When I picked it up they told me it was so light they didn't make a wire to hang it on. Just use the D Rings. When I brought it home after making two holes in my wall to hang it since I apparently it didn't deserve a wire, the frame was bent and the edges pulled up off the wall. It looks horrible. I was charged about $350. And this is just canvas stretched without any sort of frame or decoration. Go somewhere else. read more

Excellent frame shop! 10/10, would recommend. I recently had a few canvas paintings framed here which I purchased in Italy. When I brought the paintings in, the store worked with me for over an hour to find all the right combinations of mats and frames for my artwork and were very attentive to detail. For one painting, I opted to have a full custom frame built. For two smaller paintings I had, I had custom mats made and they framed them in pre-made frames, for a more budget friendly option. All 3 turned out great and I'm very happy with them! Turnaround was fast too, about a week and a half for the three items. This place not only has some good quality frames, they have some awesome prints to purchase as well. From bands to Emerald City culture, it's unique and art that'd make any room stand out or at least be the topic of conversation. They're super reasonable, too! It seems crazy to dish out a 5 star review for a Frame place but I've spent at least $1500 here in the last 18 months and every time I get a project back I jump for joy. I'd say that of the 8 or so times I've been in I've had 4 or 5 different people assist me. They've always been nice, they've always been helpful, and tonight I ended up getting 3 projects done in 20 mins! Typically anything custom would take weeks but if you need glass cut or you want a standard size mat cut that they have in stock, a lot can actually get done while you wait. Framing is expensive but if you think about just keeping the frames and the mats, you can swap out art or posters and keep the frames for years and years. Looking around my house I can count at least 12 items we've had framed or mounted and I'm so glad for it. I'm moving in a few months and it feels nice to get old posters out of tubes and get things framed and ready for display in the new place. Because of their location and their customer service, I'll always come back here. If you pay attention to your ValPak deals in the mail, they almost always have some kind of sale going on. Sometimes upwards of 50% off custom frames. Always great to take advantage of this and save up a few things to get done at once. read more

Hilarious. In what universe is mounting a poster in a ready-made (not custom) pretty cheaply made frame $70? And that's just the "labor"--like a thick swath of fatty icing over a bad cupcake--the pre-made frame itself was a ludicrous $50. So that's $120, plus tax, to frame a poster. Um... no? The $70 of labor didn't involve any special additional backing added to the frame (I asked), any additional anything (I asked), literally just putting a poster inside of a pre-made frame with two hands and closing it up. And that 30% off coupon they mail you? Well, all of the pre-made frames are already "marked off" by 25% (but not really--they just invent a "retail price" about 25% higher than what the manager wants to charge, which is never the price the frame sells for, anywhere, ever) so the coupon is actually only 5% off. What a racket. The workers are very nice, of course. And I'm sure they should make more per hour than they do. I mean, 5 minutes of work for $70... yea, I'm guessing the gal will get, what, $1.25 of that? Minus tax. Maybe she should start her own shop! read more

I've been a regular customer of Frame Central for over a decade. The shop has a great variety of frames, mattes, and glass options for your prints. Each time I go in, the creative staff will hand-select various frame options and matte choices for me to peruse. I don't know how they do it - but each time, they select just the perfect combinations of colors, textures, and materials (wood vs. steel vs. plastic). Wanted my poster framed so I found this store through Yelp. Stopped into the store and was greeted with smiles. Presented my poster and the young lady helping me went over all my options. Decided on what I wanted, paid and left the poster with them. After a week I return to pick up the poster and sadly it still was not done. That was my only issue & reason for giving Frame Central 4 stars... they set the day for me to come back, so I expect the work to be done. I don't live down the street so, some kind of notification that the job wasn't done yet would have been greatly appreciated. They needed another 2 days.... I come back in 3. Gave them my name and they brought it out wrapped for transportation. It looked incredible and love the job they did. They forgot to add another hanging wire so I can hang it horizontal or vertically. After mentioning that to them they added the wire on right there. Staff was attentive and helpful. Lots of options and the staff are highly experienced. There is a guy who works here who is super helpful and very kind! However there is also a girl who is EXTREMELY rude and unpleasant to work with. I had the unfortunate luck to work with her once after normally working with the guy. I told her "I don't need anything fancy, so a cheap frame is fine". She had the audacity to CORRECT me and say "inexpensive. The word to use is inexpensive". Took all I had not to walk out but I had to get this thing framed ASAP. Yesterday we went in to get two pictures framed. The young woman who worked with us (I'm sorry, I've forgotten her name) was extremely helpful. She managed to find just the right combination of frames for the pictures and suggested some additions that will help preserve them. We're very much looking forward to receiving the finished work. They also were very good about the COVID restrictions. We were able to walk in but there was a limit of 6 people in the store at any one time and masks were necessary for everyone.
