I was excited to potentially get some posters framed here because I can tell this shop is…read moreprofessional in the framing jobs they do, but this rating is mostly due to customer service miscommunication. I called the shop earlier in the day to ask if they would accept a half down payment for the total cost of the frame job because most frame shops will work with you on that and this was the only way I could afford it. The guy I spoke to told me they had stopped doing it due to customers never showing up to pick up their framed items, but could potentially work with me as long as I made the full payment BEFORE picking it up which I was more than happy to do. I showed up in person later with my poster to go over the matting, frame choices etc. and it was a different guy who I didn't speak to over the phone. When I got my quote at the end, I was told they would not accept any down payment and needed the full payment before cutting the frames. While I understand the reason for this and that they want customers to commit to paying them, I wish they had some clarification on their website and/or I didn't get mixed information when I spoke to the man on the phone because I feel like it was a waste of my time to come in and go through choosing the matting/poster frame. Nonetheless the framing jobs are beautiful but not a fan of the mixed customer service I received, would have been happy to give them my business if they offered down payments.

The associate who helped us (blonde hair, and I really wish I remembered her name) was calm, patient, and genuinely kind the entire time. She didn't turn it into an argument or make anyone feel talked down to. Instead, she immediately offered solutions: replace the paper or give us a refund. They didn't have the exact Arches paper my dad wanted to swap to, and she still went above and beyond by offering to call Blick and initiate an online return for us on the spot. That level of patience and customer service is rare. In the end, my dad decided to just keep the paper, but I left impressed with how well she handled everything. They are very helpful with suggestions, but at the same time not pushy - which we really like. We recently took in an old (~80 years) exhibition photograph which we have recently had restored. It hard not originally been framed with acid free materials - they likely did not exist at the time. But, we wanted to retain the feel and appearance of the original framing which had been done by the photographer. They were able to restore the frame, replace the matting with modern conservation materials while still maintaining the appearance of the original. We could not be more pleased! They have done equally excellent jobs with several contemporary pieces.

They arrived rolled up in a tube, and I spent a lot of time shopping around Seattle for a good way to preserve and display them. I checked out 7 shops here in the north/central part of Seattle. None were bad, but this place stood out for a few reasons: 1) SF&MG was more thorough than other places about discussing all of my options in different price ranges, and was patient and honest explaining things I didn't know about custom framing. 2) The frame suggestions were excellent. Peter's sharp eye, and perhaps SF&MG's inventory, produced a design that was unrivaled by any other shops. The scheme he suggested complimented my unusual paintings beautifully, and was impossible to recreate -- much less improve upon -- with other vendors. 3) Most of these places guarantee their prices, but SF&MG underbid their competitors (for standard stuff like getting the canvas onto the stretcher board) without even having to be told what their competitors quoted. 4) I'm really happy with the workmanship. The paintings look great, though of course I can't compare this to the shops I didn't choose... So, I have only one data point but so far so good with Simply Frames & Miner Gallery.

It was a reproduction of my wife's oil painting so color matching is important to us. Communication was over the phone and email so I might have gotten better service in person. A bit defensive when answering questions. Maybe it was me? or they are just too busy because they do good work at reasonable prices.

They quickly explained to me the difference between 3M film and the film that I was looking to get. I felt confident that after a short conversation with multiple staff, the film choice was the right one. I left them with my new luxury SUV, which already had privacy glass that they had to tint over. After the service was done, it was completed on time with extra care. I believe two to three individuals worked on the car, and it was absolutely flawless. When I got inside, it was hard to imagine it was the same car. A corneal disease impacts my ability to drive with lots of rain on the ground or at night. These folks were great about getting me the right film that took care of the car. The one additional thing that I would add is that after the install, there was a small bubble on one of the windows. It wouldn't go away after a couple of days, and I was concerned. When I returned, they assured me that within a week, with the hot temperatures and parking in the sun, it would go away, but scheduled a replacement appointment under warranty at no cost regardless. Just days before the appointment, I was happy to call them back and say that it cured perfectly. I couldn't recommend these guys more. They're absolute experts at what they do. The price is absolutely phenomenal, and they certainly have experience working on extremely high-end cars. Strongly recommend.

Lotus' turnaround on this has been amazing! I provided them with a USB drive to store the digitized videos, and it is being delivered to my home tomorrow (i.e., Monday). Wow - thus far Lotus has been awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product but have been extremely impressed with their service. I will update the review after I have time to review the digitized videos.

I was really looking for a way to display and take advantage of a bunch of great photographs I had taken on a recent trip back home to Oahu. Frames are Ok but seem very blah to me these days and the cost of frames for the quality just doesn't sit well with me. So always keeping my eye open for new ideas I just happen to see an ad for Bumbljax on Facebook. I quickly went to their web site to see what they had to offer. Eureka!! I loved the different material options they had, each material gave the photos a different style and feel. I uploaded one of my vacation photos, chose the custom size and material the photo would be printed on and completed the order. the site was easy to navigate, uploading the photo took no time at all. I just received my order today and am very happy with the finished product! It is meant to be a birthday gift but now that I see the final product I'm having a tough time with actually giving it away! lol I highly recommend you check them out if your looking for a cool way to display your favorite photos! Ordered a 32 x 24 B/W print on Aluminum - as luck would have it, my RAW file was corrupted so I only had a JPG to work with - and it was a 10MP file, which would usually stop me at 19x13 - but the work Bumblejax did turned out very, very nicely. Only two things I'd like to see improve: - update on the website what the status is... displayed for a week that the order was 'in process' only to suddenly receive an email stating that the 'order had shipped'. A quick note on where it is in the queue would be nice to see. - Please offer other format options. While 3:2 is common, I had to crop the file... if not custom, at least a 16:9 (I know, I know... it's everything but 'pure', but for some pieces it actually works) Overall the two points above weren't enough to deduct a 'star' from the overall result - the print is great in tonal range (grey's) and detail - the mounting is perfect and it even came with a simple tool to hang it. I will use Bumblejax again and recommend everyone giving them a try read more

I have used Bumblejax twice now, creating a total of fourteen 1" thick acrylic "prints," and every one has turned out excellent. I was very excited to receive my first order, and wowed by the quality and clarity of the images. I studied those first three choices, and saw how incredible architectural images are when done in the 1" acrylic. The added three-dimensional quality of the architectural image was eye opening, and I have since tried three more, each one exceptional. I highly recommend it to other photographers who shoot architectural images! I also take a lot of landscape photos, and those too look fantastic in the 1" acrylic "frames." The added depth and reflective sides really make my photos come alive. I used their metallic paper, and am very impressed with the surface and how it makes the images richer than I could have imagined. If you haven't tried Bumblejax and their acrylic "prints," I strongly recommend it! read more

I was concerned about making sure it was delivered on time and when I called on a Saturday afternoon, I was amazed to get a return call that same day! Corey was courteous and reassured me I would not need to spend extra money on expedited shipping. He even called me once the photos had shipped to tell me they were on the way. I am a fairly detailed and technical minded person and would only use a printing service that can do fine art quality printing. Bumblejax did an amazing job from first assigning me an account manager (Corey) to delivering a finish product. I tend to take way too many pictures to just place around in frames so decided to have a few of my most favorite shots professionally printed and mounted. I chose 4 scenes from a recent Hawaii trip and looked around for someone who could give my shots some life beyond being put in a standard everyone-has-the-same-look photo frame at a reasonable price. I had a really good experience with Bumblejax. I wanted to make a serious enlargement of one of my photos for a while. Then I saw an ad for Bumblejax on the Facebook. I checked their website and decided to try. Everything was quite easy - they have nice instructions for the ordering process. The first time I ordered an 18x24 inches print. I got my order back in about a week and really liked it. It also helped that it arrived completely ready for hanging on the wall. I was so pleased that I ordered a different picture of their largest (30x40 inches) size. I like it even more. I will definitely use them again. I stumbled across Bumblejax while looking a company who could do acrylic photos for a wedding show I was presenting at. I wanted to offer something different and unique. Thought I'd give them a shot. I ordered an acrylic and a bamboo photo and was very impressed with the products, and their customer service. They called me to tell me that my order was in a nearby city and that they had combined both of my orders into one and was going to refund part of the shipping charges I had paid seperately. I decided to order a print after seeing some Bumblejax work in a friends apartment back in Seattle. The quality of the print was truly astonishing and the construction of the frame is remarkable (I ordered acrylic on bamboo). They contacted me a day or so after placing my order and suggested the color be lightened. I, not knowing much about the printing process, took their suggestion. I had also initially ordered a more standard size but they suggested a more unusual one for my print (which ended up working better). Even though it was the busy Christmas Season, Bumblejax's customer service people reviewed my order, clarified my questions, suggested a way to improve the appearance of the picture and made the substitution without charging me for the addition. After Christmas when I wanted a similar picture made, they provided me with the specifics of the first picture so that the two pictures would make a handsome pair. I recently heard about Acrylic Prints and ordered from several places, Bumblejax, Whitewall, Bayphoto and Snapfish . Frankly Whitewall and Bumblejax were the most expensive and bayphoto was close. Snapfish was the cheapest. So what did I like most? Bumblejax was the best. The packaging was top notch as were the care instructions. From there the print was by far the most colorful and powerful compared to the other expensive ones, and also the acrylic was the least reflective. So hands down Bumblejax was the best at what I was looking for. It is worth the money. read more

i started researching this company in 2016 as well as a number of others on the internet to see who had the best quality and price. at the end of the day these guys came through with flying colors. i currently have two exhibitions going on in boston and i had @bumblejax do the framing for both. i could not be happier with the results. they are all 24x36 with 1/4 acrylic mount and people keep saying how amazing they look. so happy i decided to work with them. I've made several orders from Bumblejax of my large fine art landscapes and I've been extremely pleased with the service and quality. My customers are all impressed with the quality and presentation. The packages always arrive well packaged and in pristine quality. The shipping is expensive for my 48" and 60" prints which come in solid wooden crates, but what can you do? If you want it to arrive safely and on time that's what it costs. As a professional customer I appreciate the discount they provide. Highly recommended. read more

My first order with Bumblejax was a complete pleasure. I ordered a large ( 24 x 30 ) print mounted on 1/4 inch acrylic and it looks AMAZING. What I really liked was the support I received prior to clicking the buy button. I was concerned about not getting a dark image and it all worked out perfectly thanks to the help prior to ordering. All services are done with high quality and in the timeline they indicated. I appreciate their skill and experience, all the services they provide and the care they take of my paintings and requests.

They communicate well, were very knowledgeable, and very precise in creating the arrangements and hanging them at just the right heights with perfect spacing. The mirror was the heaviest piece and they got it securely installed, and one of the pieces of art went on a wall with wallpaper and they got it on with no scratches or anything on the wallpaper. I'll use them again in the future and highly recommend them!

If you have the ability to use another vendor, I suggest you do…read more Artech can be okay - some of the technicians/handlers they employ are good enough and will get your work on the wall with no damage. Unfortunately they engage in deceptive and shady business practices including attempting to charge for work that was never done. As a small business owner I hate to leave negative reviews but in this case I really don't have a choice. Artech damaged a $70,000 artwork of ours and getting it all sorted has been hassle after hassle after hassle including fraudulent charges and poor communication. If you are forced to work with them I suggest you watch them like a hawk and inspect your invoices even more closely. Two thumbs way way down, I just wish there were more options for high-end service providers in this space in seattle.
