This is where you meet. It reminds me of a nicer, older Perkins. It's decently comfortable (although the booths are a bit tight and have seen better days). Everyone is friendly enough. And the menu is large and just about everything will be pretty good. Or good enough. This being southern California, there are plenty of Mexican inspired dishes for breakfast. And of course the more traditional dishes as well. My breakfast was a little cold but stilil tasty nonetheless. My friends enjoyed their plates and a good, relaxing and not expensive breakfast was had by all. It's not hard to see why this place has been around for so long. It's a classic. With all that entails.

This diner is located near the Glendale Galleria and Americana at Brand Parking was okay since they have their own parking lot and it's free Inside was dim but spacious with booths and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating Menu had a good variety of dishes and pricing was reasonable since most items were under $20 Service was decent and nothing too special Got the Egg Benedict ($17.50) and it was mediocre. The Canadian bacon was very salty and the egg was slightly too overcooked so not as poached as I wanted. The hash browns were crispy and plentiful. The Quesadilla ($11) was pretty good! It was stuffed with plenty of cheese, tomatoes, and mushrooms. I was impressed with the portion size! It was very flavorful and delicious! The guacamole seemed fresh and tasty! Overall, I thought the food was okay so not sure if I will return or recommend

The food is very good and the menu is easy to understand with many variety! The service was great for a big party. The ambiance is very pleasant and intimate so everyone can hear your conversation if you're too loud.

Ambiance: it's a traditional diner brunch place located in Glendale, right across the street from the Americana shopping center, they have their own parking lot although it's get packed up quickly Service: friendly but slow and forgetful, it took a while to place the order and receive food, and we had to remind a few times to get drink Food & Drink: variety of choices on their menu CORNED BEEF HASH BENEDICT - ** toasted english muffin topped with two poached eggs with the creamy hollandaise, served with a choice of hash browns, overcooked eggs, and salty corned beef QUESADILLA ASADA - **** A flour tortilla stuffed with carne asada, grilled with tomatoes, mushroom, and cheese, served with fresh fruit, cheesy taste, recommend Cappuccino - *** watery taste Drip Coffee - *** average Price: generous portions but overall mediocre quality, expect $30 per person

I've only been once but can tell this place is a classic and probably frequented over and over by many of the locals. Anyway, we were in Glendale and. Wanted breakfast for lunch and found Foxy's. Something weird was going on in the parking lot with lots of spaces blocked, but happened to find a spot back in the corner. Free parking in Glendale is always great! Waited a bit for a table but once seated, service was very quick and friendly. Ordered the steak and eggs as well as the croissant French toast which was a first for us. Med rare Steak, over easy eggs and well done hash browns were all the right temp which is rare. French toast was good, but the syrup was in the small take out containers which threw us off. Same brand name, so not a big deal but I guess we were expecting the ubiquitous syrup pourer :) I also give the waitress credit for her honesty. I love home made corned beef and hash when available, but when I asked she was honest and said it was from a can. Most places do the same, so bit knocking them at all, but not something I'll order when I have the same can at home :).

Went here with a large group and the staff was very accommodating and attentive! I got a hot chocolate which was yummy! The eggs were cooked well, the bacon was bacon lol mostly there to give me more protein and served its purpose. I really enjoyed the croissant French toast! Had the lighter texture that you're looking for but didn't compromise on taste. Pretty decent for diner fare! The inside is dark but I enjoyed the retro almost tudor style building. Pretty cool. Would come here again for a quick breakfast!

Was in the Glendale area and decided to try Foxy's for breakfast with my family. Very retro interior A-frame. Think red velvet color scheme with lots of wood and gold accents. And a fire place to set the mood. Nevertheless it was a cool experience. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good. Simple and straightforward. We had a picky eater among us and he managed to eat all his food. That speaks volume within our family. Pancakes when a little darker than accustomed to but they were light, airy and had a good texture. Served with whipped butter and syrup on the side. The eggs were all cooked perfectly. Hash browns were crispy on top and cooked just enough within. Bacon was cooked a little too much for my liking and I'd consider it dry and crisp. It didn't seem to bother my son at all. I'd recommend the eggs cordon bleu but the cordon bleu itself was half cooked perfectly and the other half fried too long which made it dry and basically hard. The half that was cooked properly though was delicious on its own and especially good with the poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Due to its variety of menu options, I'd dine at Foxy's again.

First time trying this place . I pass by all the time . It definitely did not disappoint. The pancakes melt in your mouth . Omelette was delish . Shared with my daughter . It was a nice balance . The ambience is very old school feel. Busy cafe style . Overall great experience .

Foxy's is a place where time stood still. Everything looks like it was all the rage sometime in the early seventies. Mint leaf garnish? Check. Slice of orange on every plate? You betcha. Brownish carpet? Yes. Soft lighting? Indeed. Everything is seventies, that is, besides the food and service. Sure, the menu has nods to those seventies items we grew up on (well, SOME OF US GREW UP ON) but the service was impeccable! Fast, efficient, attentive, accommodating, whispering, and personable. Those are so many adjectives to describe what was PERFECT service in a warm environment. Keep it up Foxy's!

It's been at least 35 years since I was inside this place, and I swear nothing has changed! Well, except for mayby the staff. But, all was very good here. Super nice, excellent service, and the food is good. Also, it's a really good value! I had the Mexican Tuna Melt, and while it was tasty, it was a little messy. My wife had the Gringos Breakfast that was a take on Machacas. She really liked it. It's an old school coffee shop and they do a great job. I would return and recommend.

I've been dying to find a good breakfast place like Conrad's (if you're from Glendale and you remember Conrad's it was the BEST) I have to say Foxys has become one of my favorites now. Relaxing atmosphere, great service, and the food 10/10 :) price is amazing.

Best family restaurant/diner in Glendale area. Old school interiors transport you back to the 60's/70's in this fun high pitched roof building with fire places in it. Always packed with locals as they have a great variety of good American coffee shop/diner food especially a great breakfast menu. Super friendly service and management. Wine and alcohol too! Patio dining. When the parking lot is packed (usually is) - there is plenty of parking along the street. Family friendly and also good for larger groups. Expect a wait during breakfast as it is always bustling but tables turn quickly here.

This place has great choices of breakfast, plenty of omelette and meat choice, I choose the New York steak, it comes with two eggs and hash brown, choice of bread. I am happy with the steak, a thick slice. The waiter and server was attentive and stop by to ask you if you need anything from time to time. The price of food was about average, there are many seats in the patio area, the coffee isn't that strong but acceptable. I think I will come for another meal when I am in this neighborhood again.

Ask the Community - Foxy's Restaurant

    Do you allow pets?

Pets are allowed but only if leashed and for outside patio seating only unless they are a service animal. We go there often and have seen people bring their dogs and sit outside all the time.

    Are they open Thanksgiving morning?

    Yes, until 4pm.

    Is breakfast served all day?

Yes breakfast is served all day and night.

How is the parking? Is there a private parking lot or do customers need to pay for parking?

There's parking in the drop t and the back of restaurant

Is Foxy's open on Independence Day?

    Yes but they close early.

    Are dogs allowed?

dogs aren't allowed inside the restaurant but I've taken my 5lb. chihuahua and sat outside on the patio. the space is limited on the patio so I don't think it would be a good idea to take a large dog though

Desert was the chocolate cake, which was ok but we saw picture of a layered cake on Yelp (with frosting) but this one was a basic cake. Still tasty but not what we expected...but we certainly take responsibility for that misunderstanding. Overall, a great experience. I hope to return to try the ribeye one day. I arrived early for my reservation, but the counter was still occupied due to a kitchen delay, so I had to wait at the wine bar, which was crowded and loud as well. But throughout this process, the staff at check-in was nice. They gave me 1 update, said I would wait 25 minutes, and then took me to my seat 10 minutes later. Communication was decent, and they made me feel welcome. The apology came in the form of 1 free sparkling wine drink, which was nice. Food: Good but not excellent and on the pricier side. Ordered the Albacore, which is a must, and that tasted really great. Got a Carolina Gold Rice with seafood, which was good, more like risotto, but much more watery; the seafood was fresh. Wish this came out with my main course. For the main course, I got the trout. The fish was fresh. It took a while for the order to come out. The fish skin was mostly crunchy and tasty, which is nice, and it came mostly deboned. The big down for me was that it tasted ok and the fish was drenched in oil, way too much oil. Overall, it was good, but not all of the dishes were a hit, and considering the cost, this place will give me pause before coming back. Ambiance: Not sure I would take someone on a date here unless I've been out with them a few times already. The acoustics in the space are just echoey and on the loud side. I had to wear my AirPods the whole time with either noise cancellation or transparency. They should really dampen the noise in that dining hall more. Also, there are long family-style tables in about 3 rows. I don't know how I would feel about that overall, but that is just me. I prefer to have my own table with my group. Lastly, parking is either street or valet. I think there's a valet, but you can park around the neighborhood, just be prepared to hunt a bit for parking on busy nights.

The food looked like it was trying very hard to be trendy and "experimental," but underneath all of that, most of the dishes were surprisingly bland. Not bold, not nuanced, just lacking flavor altogether. For a restaurant positioning itself as elevated Korean-inspired food, the actual taste felt forgettable. The portions also felt wildly overpriced for what you get. Small plates are one thing when the flavor delivers, but paying premium prices for tiny servings that don't leave an impression is another. It honestly felt more like paying for branding and neon lighting than for quality food. And the biggest red flag? The restaurant was nearly empty at 7:30 PM on a Saturday night. In Highland Park where good spots are packed on weekends, that tells you a lot. Atmosphere and cocktails can only carry a restaurant so far if the food itself isn't giving people a reason to come back. I already know the response will probably mention "modern interpretations," or "playful experimentation," but none of those things excuse bland food and poor value. Reinventing a cuisine is fine but .... it still has to taste good.

Glassell Park is a hidden neighborhood in Los Angeles, anyway, and if you don't know what you are looking for, you might zip right past W&S, as we did. Parking is hit and miss, but there are side streets and you will find a space if you give yourself an extra 15 minutes before you come. The neighborhood is mysterious to me, sort of pricey grunge & hipster, iykwim. But! Once you are inside, you are in a completely different world. Bright, clean, genteel, muted, with dappled sunlight dripping through various apertures and alighting in a soft glow here and there on shining metal tables. It's beautiful. Some catchy upbeat contempo-pop music streamed steadily at just the right volume overhead. I found myself resisting the temptation to get up and dance. There are several rooms from which to choose, but I wanted to be seated on the wine-red suede banquette that gave me a view of the whole restaurant and out onto the tree-canopied street. From the time we arrived to the moment we left about an hour later, we were showered with warm smiles and attentive service. And the food? Exquisite. See my pictures. It was hard to choose. One tiny disappointment was they were out of the biscuits that I wanted to start with, but I enjoyed the crusty tender Clark Street bread slices served with warm creamery butter instead. It only got better from there. The two bowls we ordered were filled with fresh vegetables, cooked to perfection, topped with an egg prepared as we requested, i.e., over medium. The portions are modest and it was all so good, we didn't take anything home. We ordered coffee and were brought two tall steaming mugs of Americano, smooth, dark, and delicious. Best of all was the Lemon Lavender cake, a seasonal specialty. Honestly, it might be one of the best, moistest, most flavorful and elegant cakes I have ever had. So fantastic, that I just ordered some lavender buds (if I don't collect them from our garden) to replicate it at home. I don't drink much alcohol but if I did, I would head here for one of their experiences or tastings -- they have a formidable list. Check all this out. Everyone also didn't feel particularly welcoming, from the hostess to the waitress (no smiles). Thankfully, we were seated outside for some fresh air, although the warm murky smell still lingered a bit outdoors. The menu seem fairly limited since nothing really stood out to me as especially exciting. I've studied the menu prior before going, and was only looking forward to their burger, but they didn't have it during dinner apparently. While the dishes were descripted very well on the menu, there was no depth in flavors. I'm talking about the pork belly, lamb chops, tartare, Spanish octopus, and especially the seasonal pasta. I'm happy that it wasn't overly salty, but overall the food tasted mediocre and felt a bit basic. I'm only saying this because I could make it myself, at least the lamb, fatty pork belly, and pasta. Portions were also on the small side. Service was a bit slower as it took some time to get seated and receive our food, and one of our dishes was forgotten until we reminded the staff after already finishing most of the meal. On the positive side, we were able to find easy street parking about a block away, and the restaurant itself has a cozy ambiance that would probably be great for a chill dinner with some wine. However, my group left still feeling very hungry and unsatisfied. To be fair, we came in hungry, and the portions and long wait didn't help.

Location 4 stars: On Casitas Avenue in a somewhat unexpected residential area in Atwater Village, North of where the 2 and 5 freeways meet. Parking is not difficult. There is limited parking spots upfront but also a large parking lot and Valet parking. Venue 4 stars: Beautiful rustic upscale venue with indoor and outdoor tables and a full bar. Service 4 stars: Friendly, attentive, efficient and helpful staff. Food 4 stars: You can order individually or share a few small and large plates as a group. The theme is modern and eclectic Mediterranean and North African. We ordered the following appetizers and shared them among our group: Muhammara, Meatballs and Octopus Carpaccio. We also ordered the following main plates: Beef Shishlik, Whole Branzino and Prime Short Rib Tagine. For dessert, we ordered the Chocolate & Halva Sundae and the Tiramisu. Everything we had was creative, used fresh ingredients, was nicely plated, and tasted wonderful. Prices are on the higher side, as expected for an upscale restaurant. Drinks 4 stars: Full bar: Creative specialty cocktails, spirits, beer, wine and soft drinks. We had the Pornstar and the White Negroni specialty cocktails. Both were very good. Again, prices are on the higher side, as expected for an upscale restaurant.

I highly recommend Momed, it's easily a standout among LA dining spots. If you are a fan of Middle…read moreEastern food you will love this place. To start off the interior is gorgeous and it does not feel like you're in LA. The garden vibes are beautiful. If you can sit outside I would highly recommend doing so. Drink selection is solid and all of our cocktails were just fantastic. The Bridge Bar menu is good value. It comes with an order of the dips and warm fresh pita, for the entree I chose the chicken kabob on a spread of labne and it also came with an ice cream sundae. My favorite item of the night was the crispy cauliflower followed by momo chips and the brussels sprouts. Momo chips are their version of fries served with ketchup and aioli. The brussels sprouts were smothered in olive oil and toasted almonds. The attention to detail in all of their dishes from an ingredients standpoint is definitely there. Kudos to the chefs because they really know what they're doing! Everything we had here was delicious and I will be back!

You go up to the counter to order your food, they have some of it on display so you get a visual which was nice, and they'll bring it to you when it's ready. The workers were kind and helpful. Overall nice and yummy experience! Some gluten free options, not celiac safe, but enough to give me some variety

Oh, I love Forage! Mostly for the bobo tree house vibe, and the veggie forward menu. The iced tea…read moreis also amazing. Sometimes the food is a bit salty, but otherwise full of healthy options (10 + kinds of salad and veggie dishes) with decedent choices, too (extra cheesy lasagna). It's a self service restaurant, but also expensive. You set your own table and pour your own water glasses. Dinner for two with beverages is easily $85 or more with tip. There are no refills on drinks like iced tea. The upside of it being self service, is you can hang out as long and chat as long as you like. There is good chance if you do linger that you might order desert or a second small $10 iced tea (with tax and tip). It would be quite easy to spend well over $100 for 2, without table service... If it were a little less expensive, I would be a regular... but if it were less expensive then it would be hard to find a table because that whole neighborhood would be hanging out here.
