    House made Chips

My pictures do not do it justice - this place is amazing! Fresh house made chips with the perfect seasoning and soft crunch of potatoes. I ordered the Italian and Caprese sandwiches - both came hot and fresh and so dang good! The only con with this place is that it took 20 minutes for two sandwiches, and we were the only other people in the restaurant at 5pm so my gut is that it just takes time to make something this good. I hope they can stay in business because we will definitely be back!

Smoky Turkey with Cajun chips. It was really good.

To start, I want to let you know that this is the type of place that you order at the counter and then go sit down to wait for your food to be made. Normally, I'm not a fan of that type of restaurant, because I like to sit at the table and have a few minutes to read over the menu before I have to order. That said, because they have everything written on the chalkboard and you can see it in an at-a-glance format, the way it is setup really is conducive to ordering at the counter first. So kudos for having everything you need upfront. Now the food. It's great food made fresh. It took a little bit to get our food, but we weren't disappointed when it arrived. I had the smoky turkey sandwich, which comes with peppers, onions, and horseradish sauce on the bread. It was really good and quite big. I had Cajun chips as my side and added a bowl of tomato soup. It was all really good. The soup was really thick and more of a tomato purée type of soup. It probably could've used a little bit more water, but it really depends on what you're going for when you're making it. It was still good, and I would order it again. My husband had the Reuben sandwich and he said it's one of the best Rubens he's ever had. My son had the Italian sandwich with no pesto and no veggies except black olives. He liked it quite a bit. We shared a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, because we were curious what it was like. That was also really good, we also tried the chocolate chip and the chocolate cookie. The flavors of each we're good, but they were served warm and just crumbled in your hands. You definitely can't hold these cookies and eat them. You really have to eat them with a fork or spoon. Really the only negative remarks I have to add are the fact that the chairs are extremely uncomfortable, and they need to put a mat on the floor in front of the drink machine and under the sink in the restrooms. People are really messy with their drinks and washing their hands, so it leaves the floor, incredibly wet and slippery. That could definitely be a hazard. I will say, though, as soon as I mentioned that it was slippery by the drink machine, they put a little sign out and took care of it. Overall, we really liked this place. The staff were friendly and as prompt as you can be when you make food from scratch. It was exactly what we needed for a quick lunch. We had a great experience and we'll be back.

I kept seeing this pop up on my yelp screen to try and so after 3 weeks of trying to go (no fault of the restaurant) I was finally able to make it there. We were greeted promptly and the person taking our order answered all of our questions, made recommendations and was cheerful. He actually seemed to enjoy his work or puts on a great poker face! After we ordered we sat down the decor is a bit of a hodge Podge of older style adverts and what I'm guessing are antique items or reproductions of Such. I'm not an expert so I couldn't really say for sure. It took awhile for our food to come out and we actually we getting a little irritated at the amount of time. Suddenly I'm guessing a manger or lead team member came over WITHOUT any prompt for us. Apologized that it was taking so long and refunded us our apps and drinks. That was awesome of him I find it very refreshing he is on top of his game and paying attention. When we did get our food the deviled eggs were excellent. A nice creamy filling and balanced ingredients. The cheese sticks were probably my favorite thing. This wasn't the typical all breading and no filling these suckers were large and full of cheesy goodness. I do have a suggestion though of instead of three cheese sticks make it four. Even if I had to pay a dollar more I think the even number would go over best as the typical party with kids is going to be four or if it's two then each gets 2. Our sandwich were ok. The Dr Pepper soaked short rib wasn't the best I had tried.I think next time I'll order something different. My wife sandwich the smoky turkey was better. It came with a horseradish sauce with any time we hear horseradish we are like no thanks. It's not that we don't like it but it is so powerful most chefs overpower everything with it. This chef didn't do that. While you could tell it there it just didn't take over over. Another awesome thing showing they are paying attention.

I was super excited when I heard this place was opening because I am a huge fan of toasted sandwiches. My sandwich was really good and flavorful, the bread was nice and soft but yet also crunchy. Homemade chips weren't too bad either. My only complaint is that I with the bread to filling ratio was better. Needed more meat inside.

Was it good yes.. Was it great no. For $12 a sandwich I guess I was expecting better. I had the Cuban and wife had the Thanksgiving dinner sandwich. The sandwiches were ok... not great. All sandwiches come house made chips. The chips were seriously lacking flavor. We had bbq and salt and pepper and couldn't really tell they were seasoned. Service was great and the food came out in fairly short order. 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks cost $32 even with tax. In my view $16 per person for a sandwich and drink... a bit high for what you get.

Don't get the hype. I love supporting small business, but you've gotta do more than just be local to get my repeat business. We tried this place for lunch. The atmosphere was sparse, but fine. The temperature however was too hot inside. Two of the tables we wanted were still dirty. I ordered the Reuben. It was a disappointment: to expensive and too little meat. Literally Charlestons gives you 2-3x the meet than this place. My wife only ate half of her sandwich. The veggie side salad was limp and soggy - not fresh at all. Staff didn't engage with us at all. Won't be going back.

If you don't go give this small owned business your money. I have been looking for an amazing panini that taste fresh, real, and just delicious. THIS WAS IT. The man taking my order so helpful, kind and made sure I liked my food. It's really chill and a good place to even work/study. Decorating is unique and just overall a great place. It's so close to my house- going to have a new addiction

The patty melt is delicious!!! The hand made chips are okay. I don't taste bbq on them at all. I would definitely eat her again but skip on the chips and take it to go cause it's freezing inside.

Such great sandwiches! We have always been more than satisfied with the food! The portions are big enough to share...and the homemade chips are amazing!

I went to this place after waiting for it to open and also because my coworker said to try it. She said it was so good and I had to go. I ordered the chicken sandwich because the guy at the counter told me it's his favorite. It was disappointing to say the least. The bun was really great and it was it's only save. The sandwich is just pickles and sauce but that wasn't what got me. The thing that I was upset about was the 2cm thick piece of chicken in my sandwich. Im not gonna lie, I was expecting a thick piece of chicken. Told me coworker and she said her piece of chicken was super thick and hearty. The chips had a good flavor and i got a peach tea that's so good. But to be honest, I can't go to a place and be a regular if their food isn't consistent.

Thanksgiving Sandwich and ranch seasoned house chips!

I drove by this place for weeks, anticipating that it would open. Finally it did, and my husband and I went for a sandwich. The wait was so worth it!! Staff was super nice and welcoming, made recommendations, and were just awesome. And then I got my Thanksgiving sandwich and fresh chips? 10 out of 10. I already have next weeks sandwich picked out. Definitely a repeat lunch date place.

Delicious hot sandwiches and chips! Stopped in for lunch one afternoon, and was pleasantly surprised by their offerings. We ordered a Cuban with salt and pepper chips. The Cuban was very good, served warm and toasted with the perfect punch from the pickles. The salt and pepper chip is your classic potato chip. I had the Smokey turkey. I felt the bread to meat ratio could have been better, but the flavors were there! I had the Cajun chips with it, and they could have used a tad more seasoning. We wanted to try their deviled eggs, but they were out of them! Hopefully that's a sign they are popular, and it gives me a reason to return!

French dip with herb chips, Ruben and deviled eggs. Best French dip I've ever had and my boyfriend was super impressed with the Ruben too!

Best French dip I've ever had. My boyfriend said it was the best Ruben . Herb chips are rosemary deliciousness.

One thing that stood out to me for my Oaxacan Mule is that the Mezcal's smoky flavor really shown through and it was not overly sweet. A very clean cocktail, which I highly appreciate! We ordered the Chef's Salad Wrap with Onion Rings, French Dip with the tomato soup, and the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with seasonal side of grits. I ordered the Cuban panini with a side of Parmesan-encrusted button mushrooms. It's so hard to find anything close to Cuban bread, but this wasn't bad, and the panini was toasted nicely. There's only one problem: This isn't a Cuban sandwich. It's ham and turkey with pickles. I'll point the finger at myself for not looking at the menu closer. A Cuban HAS to be roast pork and ham, and the meat shouldn't be cold. I know this isn't Miami, but stop trying to pass this off as something it's not. As for the Parmesan-encrusted mushrooms, you might expect some bit of crust or breading with Parmesan. Nope. These were sautéed mushrooms with a glop of Parmesan (not entirely sure it wasn't Swiss) in the middle. If you wanted both, you had to get a mushroom, then bite off a bit of the no longer melted cheese. I'm not going to tell anyone not to come here. As ham and turkey paninis go, it was OK. But I can't help but think if they're trying to pass things off as something they're not, what else might not be as it seems?

On top of that, we had to order coffee separately and pay twice, which felt inconvenient. Even after ordering at the kiosk, our hot coffee somehow came out iced... oops. Both the Milk Tea and Thai Tea taste incredibly authentic, which is hard to find around here. They aren't just sugar-bombs; you can actually taste the quality of the tea.
