First time at The Sushi Bar and I'll definitely be back! We were seated as soon as we walked in and servers kept our drinks full. I noticed how bright and cheery the restaurant was. All in all we're off to a good start. We ordered an appetizer of edamame and it was delicious. This is a really big menu, so it took a while to decide what rolls to order. We settled on Captain Crunch and Big Cheese. These rolls were really good and I recommend them. Lots of delicious looking rolls to choose from! read more

The sushi was good. I thought a cooked roll I would've came out a little warmer. But it was good. Our waitress sucked. It took forever for water, my cousin asked for Dr Pepper with orange slices. She brought the DP but no oranges. Then she later brought just a plate of oranges. It was a nice place to sit down and eat. The garlic edamame was really good too. The crab cake not so much. As an international traveling food critic and unbeknownst to the staff, the following is what I experienced: - Staff were NOT welcoming nor personable. - Uncomfortable atmosphere. - Seated at a table next to the reception area and had a phone ring in the back of my head less than 2 feet away every time someone called in to go order. Absolutely UNSAT! - Up charged $2 for adding a few ice cubes per Bourbon and it wasn't even large rock of clear ice. Pure robbery! - Most menu prices were abnormally high, even after the residual effects from Bidenomics! - The naughty girl role was pitifully small. + Our waiter Jordan V. Was outstanding with superb situational awareness and attention to detail! + The blue fin was delicious. + The Gyoza was good, and fortunately was happy hour discounted. We loved this restaurant so much the last time, we just had to come back! This time we started out with the Basonator and Sushi Tacos that were included in the happy hour specials and I ordered a glass of bubbles that was of course delicous with all of the delicious sushi. Please do yourself a favor and order the sashimi sampler and just TRUST THE PROCESS AND CHOICES! You will not regret it. This is some of the most luscious, thick cut and delicous sashimi you will ever have! Our daughter and son in law ordered the teriyaki chicken and the steak udon noodles and both looked superb and received rave reviews! Hubby and I ordered the wakame and Ika salads, the 18 piece sashimi platter and the Brandon Scott Roll. We like to order the hall of fame rolls as they are more substantial, particularly the rice free ones. Downside is they do not hold together as well but that is fine with me to get more veggies and protein in. I swear to goodness this restaurant has some of the most polite, kind and PATIENT waitstaff I have ever encountered! I will just leave that at THAT! I cannot wait to come by to The Sush Bar the next time we are in town. Simply love this place! read more

Food not worth price. A spicy tuna roll should have finely minced tuna... this was chunks. Service was subpar. We had no soy sauce in our container so my BF went to find some since our waitress was her to locate. He was told to go sit down... then we had to wait over 10 min. for our waitress to show up and then get soy sauce. read more

Always had a great experience but my last experience wIll absolutely be my last. Waited for my entree for way too long. I think the bartender forgot my order. When it did arrive it was wayyy too Hot to eat which is not normal. Pretty sure they tried to expedite my order since it was forgotten. Quality food normally but not this time. I would add that after asking for my ticket I was ignored and finally left $100 on my counter and walked out the door. it was probably a $60 ticket. read more

Every time I have been to both this location and the store on Memorial Rd, the service and food quality has been consistent. I like to stick with the Captain Crunch and/or Naughty Girl rolls. Captain Crunch is a great one for the beginner sushi person. It's actually kind of sweet, and not "fishy" at all. Naughty Girl has a spicy creme sauce or mayo on top that gives it great flavor. When you go in, ask for Ryan or Alicia. They are both great to talk to if you need help deciding which roll to get! read more

Overall our food was great. BUT nothing was amazing, nothing standout. Even the Malbec was just alright. First we couldn't decide where to sit because they have tables and big comfy- looking almost booth tables. But they weren't even all that comfortable. We ordered 3 rolls and some nigiri (hold the rice). I'd say the nigiri or the spicy scallop roll was our favorite. The Spicy Scallop roll wasn't really all that spicy but had a good, clean flavor that wasn't muddled. The other rolls were specialty rolls and they were muddled. Muddled means the flavors are there but not in a clean way. For example, when I'd eat a piece. I got the Atomic Bomb and my friend got the J2 roll. They were both good, but I'm not going to wake up any morning craving them. Our waitress was also confusing. I wanted 2 pieces is sashimi to complement my roll and she arranged it by ordering nigiri minus rice. Two thumbs up. But then, my change was $14.71 and she brought me $14.00. I hate it when they assume the change is theirs. Yeah, it is yours- it's $1.00 (give or take) off your tip since you already got me for almost $1.00. read more

My personal favorite go to for Sushi in the OKC metro area! The sushi is always so fresh and delicious! Whether you are in the mood for raw sashimi or cooked rolls like the incredible Scratchy, The Sushi Bar of Edmond has never left me disappointed! The restaurant is not huge and so seating can be at a premium, especially on popular dining nights but it is well worth the wait if you have to! The service is always fast, friendly, and on top of it! (They aren't quite Charleston's level of never letting your drink get to the halfway point, but they are darn close.) I honestly could continue raving on for hours about the Sushi Bar and it would all be justified. I can not recommend it enough, especially if you are a fan of Sushi. read more

Such a delightful place for sushi! My husband and I love it here. Although very pricey, but really sushi is just expensive in general, you do get the best here. We are so lucky to live close by. It's always a treat to eat here. I haven't found my favorite sushi roll here yet, but that is because they have so many! They have many special rolls that are very delicious. In addition they have cooked, and raw sushi and an indicator for spicy ones which is helpful since we dine with our tot recently. We tried the yaki soba because our son loves noodles, and we thought it was just ok. The noodles were very tiny and you get a small portion for the price you pay ($14). We will definitely come back again and recommend them to all! read more

Probably the best sushi place in okc metro area. I am a sushi snob but you can find decent quality fish here compared to other places. My only gripe about it is that everything is a little pricey for what you get but I love sushi so hard to say no.. customer service is alright, nothing special. My go to order is their salmon sashimi. 8 pieces for like $20, and they're FAT pieces so if you're into more raw sushi, that's the best value I found. Rolls are hit and miss. However I'll keep coming back for the sashimi. read more

The chili oil potatoes were super addicting. I'd order them again. All in all, the place is very solid and worth a visit. I plan to come back and try the curry.

A quick read of a few sites said that aside from barbecue Asian food was a stand out in the area. So I looked for a good Chinese place and saw one with braised pork belly which caught my attention. I heard that with a hot and sour soup, which is one of my favorite soups when it's done right. Today it wasn't done right. It was just really bland. I normally like it spice here and to be honest it just didn't have a lot of flavor all around. I ordered some cream cheese wontons because, why not? They were OK. They were fried well and despite being delivered, were still crispy And the cream cheese inside of it was good, it would've just been nice to have a little bit more filling. I was really looking forward to the braised pork belly. The portion was ample and the sauce had a nice aroma to it. The pork itself was rather bland also. The preserved vegetables that came along with it had a nice Taste to them, but it didn't add much to the dish overall. All in all, the meal was so so. I wouldn't order from the place again and looking forward to my next eating adventure here tomorrow evening.

This will always be my go to for many many reasons and if you are from out of town or just looking for a fun new experience I would 100% recommend everything about this place. I always bring my friends and family from out of town here and this is now the first go to spot anytime they come to visit.Best sushi restaurant in Oklahoma and probably many other states as well! There is no where in Oklahoma you can go with fish as fresh as they get. Not to mention the variety and wide spread locations they get their fish from. I always ask what location because I find it fascinating, such as Scotland, Australia, Japan, Hawaii, etc. The sushi chefs are so helpful and friendly and really know what they are talking about. If you don't know what to get just tell them what you like and they will come up with something just for you. If you hate sushi and are a beginner you will find something you love here. I personally hated sushi until I went here and now am addicted. They do get very busy but that is inevitable with the amazing food and service this company provides. My one tip would be to ask about the hidden things on the menu, its some of the best stuff! Such as Taks Special, Basonator, Tuna Spring rolls, and The Sushi Tower sub Yellowtail is another favorite! Just moved to OKC & this has consistently been the #1 recommended sushi spot in the entirety of the OKC area. Finally gave it a try the other day & did not disappoint. Fresh, warm, delicious. The "spicy Mayo" actually had a little of a spicy kick to it & wasn't just flavored Mayo, which was nice. 4stars bc i ordered to-go & when I showed up to pick the food up, the hostess didn't even acknowledge my existence for 4 mins (timed it, yep), and then 2 other workers came up to the front and still no one acknowledged me. Finally got a "give me one second" as the hostess left the desk and walked off. Then she came back, continued what she was doing, and then asked if she could help me. Took almost 10 mins to tell someone that the bag to their right was mine for pickup. Rolls were cold by the time I got home (literally 1.1 miles away). With being new to the area, and this being my first experience at this restaurant - was very put off. Will not be coming back unless coming with someone who requests this place specifically. I've been going to The Sushi Bar for a long time. The food is OUTSTANDING! The service from the host and waitstaff is above average. My ONLY issue is with their handling of their Groupon, other coupon offers and in-house rewards program. They don't honor their Groupon offers on weekends, carry out or "late night". I went last night at 7:00 pm and they would not honor the Groupon because it was a "weekend". I'm sorry, Friday is a week day! I worked all day, I was banking on a discounted meal and it didn't happen. I'll go back because the food is good, but only mid-week! They missed one of our in-house reward transactions. They tried, but couldn't go back and give me credit for it. I paid my bill, I'd appreciate them holding up their side of THEIR deal. read more

I come here for the late night half priced sushi. It's a great, reasonably priced time. Drinks are cheap at during this as well. You can stuff yourself on well drinks and sushi for $20 to $30. The owners are very nice, the staff is usually very courteous and prompt. I've never seen a bad waiter/waitress twice. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed with the exception of nights when there's live music. Sometimes the musicians can get a little to lively for my tastes. Came in last week with a group of 8 people. We're told that about 20 minutes wait, but we had to wait an hour and half for the table. We 8 people end up still could NOT sit together just because not enough 8 chairs at 1 table (the table was big and enough for all of us but the waitress didn't want to add up the chair for us).
