Pleasantly surprised by Kirin! We were craving for sushi and ramen, and this place has both! When we stopped in, the place was clean and quite spacious. We were greeted and immediately sat. For appetizers, we ordered the Angry Bird and the Sushi Pizza. The Angry Bird is a fried sushi bar appetizer that has imitation crab and cream cheese, topped with spicy mayo. It is my usual go-to order for sushi restaurants, but I found the one here to be small and pretty overpriced. Also, it was too crabby-- the ratio of cream cheese and crab was off to me. The Sushi Pizza intrigued me, but I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I think it may have been one of the best bites I've had at the restaurant! It was fried sushi rice topped with cream cheese, eel, shrimp, avocado, and sauce. Great portion size and it was loaded! For our meals, we ordered the Pork Belly Ramen and the NY Roll. The ramen also surprised me! The soup was really flavorful, and the portion was nicely sized. The noodles were cooked perfect. The pork belly was sliced a bit too thin for me, but for the price point, I couldn't complain. For the NY Roll, I subbed the pepper tuna for salmon and I added cream cheese-- it was so good, and there was not an additional charge for either the salmon or cream cheese. For dessert, we ordered the fried cheesecake, and you can never go wrong with this! Theirs was freshly fried and warm with the cheesecake still slightly frozen, but it was still so decadent and the perfect end to our meal. We will definitely be back! read more

The food is really good! The first time I went the service was good but the second time wasn't amazing. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating. The menu has multiple items that would satisfy anyone's hunger. My son with seafood and but allergies was able to have a ramen dish and he enjoyed it. I went for lunch thinking I was going to get ramen, but then deciding to get a roll instead. The place was conveniently located next to Walmart for any hungry shoppers. It was clean and practically empty. I was seated promptly and the food came out in a timely manner. I ordered a miso soup, a specialty roll called the Dynamite roll, some octopus sashimi, and a side of spicy mayo. The miso soup was average! Not the best I've tasted but not the worst. It was great for the cold windy day. While awaiting my main meal, I tried some of the spicy mayo which I was not a fan of. It was way sweeter than spicy, and didn't taste like it was made in house. I was a little worried about my food at this point. However, the dynamite roll was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised at how impressed I was. The inside was spicy tuna and it had a nice kick! For the kind that's chopped up and mixed with spicy sauce, it didn't taste pasty like most places these days. The whole roll was a good size (not overly gigantic and poorly rolled) and it was enough to fill me up for lunch! The octopus sashimi was good as well. This restaurant has only been open a month and it's one you need to add to your places to try. Again I went in with high expectations and the food blew us away. The restaurant was also clean and inviting. I'm not usually a ramen fan but, I loved it. The NY steak was tender, the broth was hearty and the noodles were cooked well. The flavored meshed perfectly. We also got the lunch combo and the dumplings were very good. My husband really liked the General Tso's chicken. Now to the sushi rolls. We got the Hawaii roll and the spicy girl roll. Both were really great but, the Hawaii roll really made a lasting impression. I literally closed my eyes as the flavors came together to form the perfect amount of sweet, spicy, crunchy, salty and delicious roll. I am thrilled to have found another exceptional Asian restaurant. The staff was friendly. We will for sure be back soon. read more

Found a new ramen/sushi/hibachi restaurant in Yukon. I love that it's so close to home but what will bring us back over and over is the delicious food. I only got a picture of the sushi but I wish I would've taken pics of everything. We got egg rolls, gyoza appetizers, the crunchy shrimp roll, spicy tantan ramen, spicy Thai chicken and my daughter got the kids chicken hibachi with fried rice. She loves it and ate every bite (which says a lot about the quality and taste of the food). We both enjoyed our meals and the presentation was outstanding. The servers were kind, attentive, kept our drinks topped off and the food came out looking and smelling so delicious. The inside is very vibrant with bright orange painted walls (my daughter's favorite color btw), and beautiful decor. We have tried other places nearby and much prefer Kirin. read more

I believe the combo fried rice was around 15 dollars which sounded a little bit high but it was a large portion loaded with shrimp, chicken, and beef and it was delicious. We were deciding on a quick bite after shopping and I remembered reading about this restaurant recently and decided to try it. Not disappointed at all! We walked in and were seated quickly. We decided on getting the lunch special of your choice of 2 rolls, miso soup, and a salad. Our rolls were the Spicy Tuna and a California with a spicy mayo topping. Our miso and salad arrived and we can both say the soup was delicious, with a subtle seafood flavor and a salad dressed with a very flavorful ranch. Great start! Then our rolls arrived on a plate that made me feel underdressed. Absolutely gorgeous with cherry blossoms and a cucumber cut in a way that looked floral. Oh, the rolls, the spicy tuna was ground with a hint of heat, enough to taste but not over power. The California tastes fresh and with the spicy mayo complimented the tuna roll. Even as I am typing this my mouth is watering and we can't wait to return. read more
